Device always had battery life problem until flashed with Madsurfer rom and xprivacy - LeEco Le Max 2 Guides, News, & Discussion

Yeah.
The battery went from 100-98-96 very fast...no matter what rom I tried...I though there was some virus in LeEco rom or something...until device flashed with Madsurfer rom and xprivacy installed.
Still don't know what change but get 18hours and if didn't use a vpn, get a day perhaps after trying out madsurfer rom with xposed and xprivacy. Maybe there is some background virus or unstable process in the rom. Or the device was bugged by the online store...dunno for sure...but battery life improved for sure after.
In xprivacy, have advanced setting to restrict system also turned on and fake data set.
Or maybe after device charged a few times, the battery improved?
Mokee rom is good but still with that rom there was battery problems.

Try "Factory Default"
or "Reinstall the rom as new" from twrp.

I have a problem after install Madsurfer ROM too. But now, i installed stock china 21s ROM and the problem remains. I left phone for charging, after 6 hours it charged about 50%, when i go to sleep it was about 14% and when i woke up it was 68% or something like that. I don't know what's going on. Maybe i should try battery calibration in TWRP?

Another battery drain problem - driving me CRAZY!!

I know there are already a lot of discussions on battery drain and believe me, I have read every single one of them. However, I think mine is slightly different:
When fully charged and using WIFI for 10 minutes, 10% of juice will be used. Listening to MP3 for 1 hour will also use another 10%. Overall, battery life is really bad but the key is it only happened suddenly. It have been very good up till now.
I have tested this on another battery and have exactly the same results so it is not battery related. I have also hard reset the phone and tested the battery with nothing installed and it still drains. A full charge only lasts me like 4 hour of very light use.
I installed Battlog and the power consumption is around 90 which I think is pretty low, but at times, even with this low consumption, I can see the battery usage literally falling before my eyes, like 5 % in 5 minutes.
I have also tried the HTC battery test, i.e. fully charged the battery, turned on plane mode and full brightness. After one hour, it only used 8% which I thought is normal. However, if I start using the phone by just simply clicking around, it will start dropping.
I believe the phone is fine on standby but once it starts doing things, even simple operations like moving around folders, it starts consuming a lot of power.
This all happens after an overnight charging episode when I noticed that the light stays amber in the morning and the percentage stays at 80%. I soft reset the phone and it immediately show 100%. This has never happen again but my battery usage is never normal since.
All in all, I think it is somehow hardware related, like the battery gauge is bad or the charging is never complete but it still shows green. It is still under warranty but I think will be very difficult to convince the service centre that there is something genuinely wrong with the phone.
P.S. Should also mentioned that I am using the stock telstra rom and have also cycled through the batteries twice before testing.
I had the same problem...
You should try resetting you battery:
1: let your battery drain to 0%
2: fully charge your battery while keeping your phone off!
this solved the problem for me..

I had actually "reset" the battery but only drain it to 5% before recharging as I have read that it is not safe to drain to 0%. I'll try to completely drain it tonight and recharge. Will report back.
btw, I noticed that when the battery is charged to 100%, the led stays amber for about 15-20 minutes before turning green. Is this normal or should it turn green immediately after reaching 100%?
Tried completely draining the battery and charge overnight but have no effect. The problem persists. So this is definitely not a battery problem.
I guess the last thing I can try is charging the battery with a standalone charger or another HD to see if there is problem with the charging mechanism in my phone.
The latest Telstra rom seems a bit better on battery
led amber
The led amber must turn to green

aidinali, can you please explain what you mean? I thought the led will go off if you unplugged the charger. My problem is that after reaching 100% as indicated on the phone, the led stays amber for another 15 minutes before turning green.
Well , I'll correct & explain more....
1-when you reach %100 ,the led will turn to green immediately (if you’r phone is plugged in).
2-if you unplug ,the led will turn off (as you said ).
The problem is that since the battery meter in HD has not been defined by percentage , it doesn't match with
Apps like battery level or battlog .so when you see %100 on them , it' s not "real % 100 ".
I believe there is something wrong with the phone as the percentage usage and charging status do not match. However, since the basic HTC software does not have any battery usage in percentage, it’s hard to convince the service centre that something is wrong.
Any software that shows the battery as a percentage all have the same reading, so I assume they all rely on the mainboard for that information. There is obviously something wrong with either the charging process of the phone or draining more battery than it needs during usage.
I have 100% exactly the same problem as in the original post.
Does anyone else?
I have also tried 2 batteries and had exactly the same results with both, so I also know it is not the battery. The only app I have installed other than Dutty's 6.5 rom is Tomtom which does not need to be run for any of these issues to occur.
Any chance on warranty? I think it's software...
Try a different ROM. I've been having the same problem. I just flashed a new ROM about an hour ago (partly because Dutty's 6.5 kept freezing). I'm hoping both problems will be solved now.
i've found the latest radio rom to make a big different to battery life. 1.14.25.24_radio
the previous radio rom (1.13?) did suck the juice and made battery last 2 days less than 1.14
Try charging with a different charger. Ie. connect a USB cable on your PC and charge it from there.
I've had very similar problems with the stock charger a month after i got my TouchHD, and ended up testing with my old P4350 charger and all problems went away.
I've had similar drains even witch WiFi off, no emails, exchange or 3G access...
Now i'm getting a whole day's usage and i'm left with 30-40% battery, with 2 hours average talk time
I've tried with a number of chargers.....battery still sucks.
I've just switched from Dutty's to Energy ROM, radio is 1.14
If anything...energy drains more quickly than Dutty's
It says it drawing 350mA
Ok, I've used Energy ROM but now using Dutty's Leo. The only thing I've loaded so far is Battery Guard which say it's drawing 98mA when on standby(ie....backlight goes off). That'sa massive difference on the 250mA readings I used to get....now all I have todo is figure out which program I'm loading that is killing my battery.
That still only equates to 12 - 13 hours on a good standard battery with no use at all.

Standard battery should last longer. Sounds like your battery may be slightly faulty. Make sure you let battery drain fully before charging, and always try charging with device off. Should help improve strength.
I had same problem when i flashed miri's rom, hd got warm and didn't last, it cooled down in standby, the answer to my problem was that the wifi was not set to save battery mode, once i set it to save power everything was ok
Used 8% in 24 hours

Have been trying that for a month now....something seems to have suddenly worked It only used 8% of the battery in 24 hours! I live in the rainforest with no service so cellular was turned off...wifi on, but I only accessed it about 6 times......still,nothing has changed. The same conditions would leave me with a dead battery in 7 hours previously.
Time will tell if it keeps up this well.
By the way....Thanks
So basically you're saying people should drain down the battery to 1% or so and not to 0% (device dies when battery is out) to get a better battery strength?
Seems to be the general consensus. I'm still not sure if that's what made the difference for me but previously,I would put my device to standbye when I went to sleep at 10:30pm and it would be dead by 6am

[Q] Battery indicator wrong

I've had my phone for 20 months now and apart from the odd freeze it's been fine. When I first got it I installed an app/cab that shows how much battery is left in percentage. For the last couple of months this hasn't been working properly. For example it might show there is 20% of the battery left so I put it on charge. When I unplug it, it is still showing 20% so I need to restart the phone and then it shows the correct level. Yesterday it was showing 42% so I put it on charge this morning as I need it full for today. When I unplugged it, again it was still showing 42%. So I restarted it and it then showed 22% (was only on charge about 40 minutes). So obviously the battery was close to 0% rather than 42% when I put it on charge. This doesn't happen all the time, maybe once a week.
Do I just need to uninstall/reinstall the app, is there a better one I could use or could it be a battery issue? The phone is still on 6.5 but I might try a custom ROM now it's out of warranty.
Well, its quite a common problem now really...Firstly, you might want to recalibrate your battery. Read through this link and install the app: (http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/windows-m...e-battery-discharger-better-battery-life.html)
If your battery percentage is still not displaying values correctly even after following the instructions and using the app, you have to try other methods.
Try downloading another battery percentage app (http://gadgetmix.com/windows-mobile...-monitor-show-battery-percent-windows-mobile/) or (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=584772). Before you install the app, you should uninstall your current cab and observe the default battery indicator icon. If that does not correlate with your actual battery life, then ditch installing other percentage indicator apps and proceed to the steps below. If the default indicator is working well, then its your application thats causing the problem. In this case, reinstall the cab or install a different percentage indicator app. You can also skip the below steps(but you should really give custom ROM flashing a try. It will lead to many extremely good wonders like Android and WP7)
If the above does not work, it is recommended that you flash a custom ROM that is compatible with your phone. Also ensure you flash the right HSPL and radio. Most custom(and the popular/good) ROMS have a battery percentage indicator cooked in. If the ROM you flashed doesnt have the indicator, install the battery indicator app and see if your issue is fixed. Again, monitor the default battery indicator first before moving
If everything has failed and both your battery percentage indicator and default indicator is not displaying the correct values, the problem should most likely be in the battery. Get a new battery and see if that fixes the problem. Hope this helps. Gd luck!

[problem] battery weakness

Dear android developers
2 days ago i had a problem with a rom, so i had to take out the battery. When i placed the battery back in the problem was solved. Unfortuanetly something happend afterwards and now my battery is really weak its been 8 hours since i last charged the phone now it is %16 Ive tried changing roms. I even downloaded cm7 which was pretty good on battery drain, now its really weak hope you guys can help me.
Thanks in advance
try draining the battery till the phone shuts down
Turn off the phone, try to fully charge, to green LED lights up, then go to ClockworkMod recovery, advanced, and select wipe battery stats.
Maybe this help u
greets from poland
clean the contacts on the battery, blow out the compartment with canned air. sounds like a bad connection to the battery.
fyi the led turns green at 90% charge.
and i need more data than its weak.
screen shots of usage after 8hrs would rock.
If phone are turned off, orange change to green at 100% of battery.
If android are running, green LED turns on at 95% battery (for me, AndroidRev 2.3.5 sense 3.0)

You might have messed up your battery with the pull somehow, if not just let it charge for a long time and see where you are at from there.
Drain the battery in normal use until it shuts off, then go to bootloader and drain the battery until you can't access the bootloader, then do a full charge of the battery.

Battery level stuck

Howdy, everyone!
I have a problem with my G935F: the battery percentage stays stuck while the device is on, it gets updated on reboot but then won't change. If I connect the phone to the charger the icon in the status bar reflects that but the charge level still won't update until the next reboot.
Battery life is great and charging while the phone is off shows the correct percentage throughout, which makes me believe this is not a problem with the battery.
The phone is rooted and I'm on stock 6.0.1. I've already tried multiple full wipes and flashing several versions of the stock rom (including Nougat) but the problem persists. I've also tried clearing the cache and the dalvik cache to no avail.
Do you have any ideas about what the problem might be or what steps I may take to try and fix it? I'd like to rule out all possibilities before dishing out €50 to have the battery replaced!
Maybe you have an app that's interfering with the reported battery level. Does the battery indicator update properly when you boot the phone into safe mode?
Unfortunately, no.
No ideas?
Unfortunately the battery level is still incorrect even when the phone is booted in Safe Mode. However it is correct when the phone is charged while turned off and the battery life is normal, which makes me believe it's not a hardware problem...
Hey guys sorry to bump old thread , but found this thread and its good to not always make new threads Well, i also suffer some heating issues but recently my battery percentage stuck at 82% while i was charging with hotspot active , i dont know why it got stuck , but when i replugged the jack in usb port , it continues but after sometime stucks again at 84% , i cleared cache partition but its still the same. But if i turn off the phone and charge, it will proceed to 100% , so the only changes that i made in system are enabling developer options and installing nova launcher and xwidgets app , phone is not rooted and completely stock. Any hints guys ?

Battery Drain when off

Has anyone any ideas, if I turn my x727 off the battery will drain to zero in a few hours. If I just set to airplane mode battery is good for three or four days. Accubattery shows battery in low nineties for remaining capacity. Currently using AICP pie ROM but also did this on lineage and AEX ROMs. I don't even know what to check as phone is off. Any help appreciated.

Only thing I can think of in order to discard some things are:
When did you notice this? after some modding? Have you flashed the recomended firmware for your device from the first post of AICP thread?
Then just for test:
While the device is off, connect the charger to see if the charging screen appears.
Then power on and once in AICP reboot to TWRP and from there just power off with TWRP menu, wait few hours, power on and see if there were battery drain while off.
Regards.
Thanks, it has done it for about one year, kind of thought about powering down from twrp. Have just been hitting airplane mode instead of powering down all this time. Firmware is correct. I thought something must be hanging. Appreciate the insight.
Just tried the shutdown from twrp. Battery went from 45 to 16 in one hour of shutdown. I am befuddled.
hello i have the same problem. i bought Lex722 as used one
i installed fresh Lineage OS.
when phone is off it drains in about 1-2 days down.
So i replaced the Battery with a new Battery. But... it get also down.. to i think its an hardware problem
one more thing: i charged from 0-90% . the Battery gets really hot. (Original charger). so maybe something with charging unit in the phone not ok
I have an X722 and I have a similar problem, after changing the display I have some problems like the one you mentioned, battery drain in stand by and my smartphone charging above 80% it shuts down and starts draining the battery, has anyone tried Qfil to try to solve this problem? or is it a hardware thing?
sorry if my English looks bad I'm using a translator

I think I had something hanging and the phone not really shutting itself off completely. Did a wipe when doing an update and it fixed itself.
I have similar problem too, have X722, started somewhere in summer, spring where basically discharged by 10-20% daily when not using..
I always update to latest AICP. Just replaced battery today and still seems there is a small drain, charged to 100% for the first time, 2 minutes of usage and already down by 3%.
This may or may not help. You need to track down all the hogs. These were two that caused me endless issues. I tried disabling backup by switching it off and this and that... until going full rambo on Google.
Google Backup Transport and Backup Framework wuv to run amuck even with screen off.
I finally package block them and firewall blocked them. Clearing their data, as well as Goggle Play Services* and system/residual data caches if they act up.
Now it's stopped.

Can I successfully disable them by just disabling their services in MyAndroidTools? (just checked and i already had them disabled)
I also have Magisk module - Universal GMS Doze.

Yeah but portions* will still run in the background just like the malware it is.
Hence the firewall and the frequent data deletes.
Maybe 10 or 11 is better behaved but it doesn't seem that way from what I'm reading... they look worse than Pie. With unrooted phones they even block more user diagnostic tools than Pie, perfect. Pretty sure my 10+ will run on Pie for its whole service life because Google dropped the ball.
Fortunately Pie is a good OS... add to that AT&T and their partner Samsung are notorious for device killing near update end cycle firmware.
Not updating is simply an act of device self preservation.
*hopefully you can pull these weeds out better than I can on an unrooted device.
Each user/device is different though, good luck
