Google Play Services stopped working on FireOS tablets a couple of days ago?? - Fire HD 8 and HD 10 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Some Fire users have been complaining, about problems with Google Play Services, that apparently has stopped working on some Amazon Fire HD 8 Tablets with FireOS a couple of days ago.
Others also have mentioned that this could be due to the new FireOS update, that was released.
Does anyone have noticed this strange behaviour with the Google-Play-Services and Goggle-Play-Store?

I have the kindle hd 8 2016 edition and before the alexa update, i lost play services when it updated to version 10. So I think it has do with that update and not amazon update. I erased them and reinstalled them and before it auto updated to version 10 it worked but not after. So I hope someone finds a workaround or another future update fixes the issue.

Alexa not working

As the title suggests, I'm trying to use alexa on the Fire HD 8 6th Gen, but even with parental controls disabled and the latest firmware, it still won't activate. Can anybody tell me why this is happening, and hopefully a fix?
hope u found the answer ... mine is **** too ...
Quick question are you holding down the circle activate her?
Reason I ask is i didn't realize she only worked that way.
Also she doesn't work on my hd 8 with the play store loaded in. Works fine in the unmodified 7 though

Why do my Google Play books and movies apps keep on disabling themselves?

Google Play books and movies keep randomly disable themselves and i have to go to play store every time they disappear in order to enable them .... Does any one know why ?
Same Problem
I have this problem since Nougat but only Play Movies & TV that keeps disabled itself. In Google Product forums Pixel user also have same problem but have been fixed with February patch. My MiA1 just got March update but why I still have this problem .?
Same here. Even with android Oreo, the problem has not gone away..
(no root, no unlock bootloader, recently factory reset)
I got different problems with the same apps. Instead, my phone notifies, for about 2 sec after turning on WI-FI, that either of them are running in background.
I have the same problem

Device is suddenly uncertified? (YB1-X90F, 7.1.1)

Has anyone else noticed that their device certification in the Play Store suddenly shows "Uncertified"? My tablet is totally stock, never tried to root or unlock the bootloader. I just noticed that I couldn't download or update any apps, then suddenly saw this.
Any ideas about what's going on?
Fix
I'm not sure about the "Uncertified" status because I never checked, but I suspect you are having the same issue many other owners have after updating to 7.1.1. I had the problem as well, in which I could not update or download any apps in the Play Store. I would recommend looking at this thread: httpsCOLONSLASHSLASHforums.lenovoDOTcom/t5/Yoga-Book-Android/Lenovo-Yoga-Book-Android-Nougat-Breaks-Google-Play-App-Store/m-p/3834779#M466. (Replace the capitalized words with the corresponding symbols because I'm too new to post external links. The solution it lists about disabling adminstrators and removing VPN's and then restarting did not work for me initially. I ended up doing a factory reset, which solved the problem for a short time. Once it came back the solution from the thread fixed it and I haven't had an issue since.
It's absolutely sickening! Since weeks Google Services stuck on my both devices (X90F and X90L) I tried all the suggestions (factory reset and so on ...) given at this thread:
https://forums.lenovo.com/t5/Yoga-B...aks-Google-Play-App-Store/td-p/3813570/page/3
Nothing works permanently and now, suddenly Play Store says: "Device not certified" . Both devices are not rooted and System-Build is LenovoYB1-X90L_100081_171013 / LenovoYB1-X90F_100083_171013
Turning on battery saver seems to be a viable workaround.

Not really
Btw I registered the uncertified devices now at https://www.google.com/android/uncertified/. But nothing changed in a positive way. On X90F sometimes over night play store runs and apps were updated. With X90F I always I have to stop play services and play store, delete cache and play store data. Then, after restart apps were updated too.
On both devices are running the identical apps and on my old Nexus7 (LineageOS Android 7.1.2) with same apps, activated builtin administrators and AdGuard-VPN all works flawlessly :good:
I think Lenovo urgently needs to deliver an update to get the devices recertified and pass the Android compatibility test.
Encountered the same. Is there still no fix or update from Lenovo for that?

Disney+ "error 39" since updating TB-X606F w/December security update

I got my TB-X606F a couple of weeks ago and it's been working perfectly up until yesterday evening when it offered me the December security patch for Android 10 and now nothing plays in the Disney+ app. There's a guy on Reddit with the same issue, but I wondered if anyone was seeing the same thing and/or knew of a fix?

How Do I Transfer Fire 7 Google Game Data to Fire HD 10?

I have spent an insane number of hours trying to figure this out with no luck, please help me.
My mom has a Fire 7 tablet, 9th generation with Google Play installed. I got her a Fire 10, 9th generation tablet. I cannot figure out how to back up her game data and install it on the Fire 10.
I've tried Helium with no success. I tried a few other things as well. The Helium backup seemed to work, except that when the game was started, I was on level 1 instead of 12. So it appeared to work, but didn't.
This was supposed to be a birthday present a month ago, but obviously I couldn't give it to her like this. Then it was supposed to be a Christmas present, but again, I couldn't really give it to her.
Maybe try setting the google account to back up application data?
I had the same problem trying to transfer a game to a new phone. I was on level 850 and didn't want to start over again. I tried several different approaches that didn't work so finally contacted the game's manufacturer. They sent me a link with instructions and it worked like magic. Perhaps that would work for you as well. Sometimes simple is better.
