MissedIt and Teslaunread loose notification access after every reboot - Xiaomi Redmi 3s Questions & Answers

Hi,
Redmi 3s, rooted
same issue with both MIUI 8 Global 6.11.3 and Xiaomi.eu 8.0.10 stable ROMs:
Both MissedIt and TeslaUnread loose their notification access (which they need to know about unread messages/mails etc...) after every reboot.
In the system dialog, the notification access is still activated after reboot, but when I open e.g. teslaunread, it says that I need to grant it notification access. I toggle the access off/on, everything works ... until the next reboot.
From a bit of googleing, this seems to be and old and known issue, but none of the threads I found ended in a resolution. Any thoughts about this one?
One eery similarity to the USB-MTP issue I posted on a parallel thread is that in both cases, the system dialogs still pretend that the settings are ok.

Notification bar swipe down function

Hi,
I am new here and I hope this is the right place for my question. Else, feel free to move or delete.
I am running the latest LOS nightly and after flashing I was able to swipe down in the middle of the homescreen to pull down the notifications.
That was a week ago and now after installing a few apps and changing some settings it is not working anymore.
There is a switch to turn this function on/off in the homescreen settings, but this doesn't change anything.
Also if I switch to guest user profile it works.
But not on my admin user.
Can anyone help?
Oneplus 2 with LOS 15.1, opengapps nano and Magisk
Thank you! :fingers-crossed:

Whatsapp issues notification with Oneplus 6T Oxygen 9.0.5

Hi all,
with oneplus 6t if I silence the group notification on whatsapp (and I try to disable from "Apps & Permissions" too) when I receive the first group notification, the phone vibrates and the settings "Group Notification" in the "Apps & Permission" will get back to enabled.
Instead in Whatsapp are silenced as I set before.
I tried to wipe cache from recovery boot, clear storage and cache data from whatsapp, reinstall it... but nothing works.
I saw on the notification in the bottom part a label with X categories deleted... what does it mean?
Any suggestion?
Where can I found the settings of whatsapp in the folders (and if I need to root it, I will do)?
I have Oxygen 9.0.5 and whatsapp 2.18.341
Thanks in advance to all
Bye

Share Now App and Xiaomi.eu rom - Problem

Hey there,
I use always the latest xiaomo.eu weekly and I have problems with share now app. I can only uses smart fortwo cars and thats all. All the other cars cause error like "this car is not compatible to your phone system". I think the problem is, that the app somehow sees that the phone is unlocked and rooted (with magisk), as a friend is using miui global without problems. Tried magisk hide without improvment
Any solutions?
Bit late answer:
You need to hide magisk itself by installing it under a different name (you can do that in magsik settings).
Then do the following:
Delete all app data of share now and uninstall it. Reboot
Install share now again and do not open it
Go to Magisk and hide the sahre now app (make sure to hide all packages)
Reboot again (without it did not work for me)
now start the app and it should look like you are unrooted.
This way it worked for me.

Function HIDE on Magisk not activ ?

In order for the custom ROM (ColtOS v) to be rooted, I use Magisk R.
After launching the application, in the bottom horizontal menu (4 symbols), all you have to do is check the second option, and the Hide option is displayed. A click on it displays the list of applications. I click on the app for which I want to make the root invisible. After launching the application in question, it works NORMALLY as on a non-rooted smartphone.
And it is not.
In Magisk, the check mark on the target app does not stay active.
Have I been the victim of a virus, at least a malicious code?
Thanks for reading
With a clean install of EvolutionX 4.7 with Magisk 20.4, no more problems at all.
For the other ROMs, I will wait for the switch to Android 11
I even found that the internet problem via 4G was solved
Everything's fine

How to manually update a Redmi note 7 without root

Hi everyone, I've had this Redmi note 7 for a couple of years now. In the last few months its software started behaving erratically:
- Settings app doesn't work anymore, it gets stuck as soon as you open it
- No google apps work besides Google chrome (play store even lists possible app updates as: (, , , , , , , , )
- Keyboard doesn't open
- 3/4 of the installed apps behave like settings does
- Connecting it to a PC doesn't allow you to access the phone memory if not through adb
- Every x minutes a message pops up saying that "The security app is not responding"
Because of the points listed above, it became impossible for me to update the OS from settings and try to fix this whatever is happening. After looking online for a bit I found a guide that basically had this steps:
- Download the update.zip from xiaomi website (Done)
- Move the zip file to the root folder of the phone
- Restart the phone and enter recovery mode
- Select the options "Update from update.zip" or something similar
The problem I have with step 2 is that whenever I try to move the zip, it denies permission. Trying to get in as root throws "disabled in production build" error (I guess because the phone is not rooted).
Is there any way to recover this crippled phone? Has any of you ever witnessed anything similar to what is happening to it? Is there a way to update the OS without using apps/settings or root?
If you need additional info just ask and I'll provide.
