Hey there,
i have a similiar "problem" :
A friend bought a SM-J500G (phillipines) on vacation, because his s6 edge died.
So now he is back in germany and wants me to flash the phone with the german firmware.
But because of the other model-id i can't just simply flash the german md5 file on the phone.
It always brings me the eboot fail with odin.
so, i am not new to flashing custom or stock roms, but i have never worked with models from other countries. Can somebody tell me what to do, to flash a stock rom from a completely other country on this phone ? Or do i need to flash a custom rom first ? Any help would be great.
exact plan : i would like to flash the J500FNXX firmware on the J500GXX phone.
problem : eboot fail while flashing with odin.
thanks in advance,
Harry ( sorry for my bad english, I am from germany )

I can't put J500FN into a J500G phone it just won't flash. Good job or it would have bricked your phone.
You need to get the correct firmware for your phone. Flash that first. Then if you flash recovery TWRP. Then you can flash your custom Rom.
You need to make sure that you have all the CORRECT files downloaded and ready on your pc to start.
If you look around the ROM & KERNEL thread you will find all the links that you need but make sure that you have the correct recovery for the custom Rom or it won't work.
Read the instructions that go with each Rom and it will tell you what you need and provide the links.
When 6.1 first came out it waa for a different country to mine (uk) I used it and had no trouble.
Hope this is of some help ?

Yes, so for now, i have installed a new custom ROM and it runs pretty well. But, i didn't notice, that there's also NO german language setting. ( I don't have a problem with that, but the person, who is the new owner... :/ )
So now I Just need to find a custom ROM for the SM-J500G , which has a german language setting for the whole system and supports the dual-sim-functionality.

I'm pretty sure that you can download a German language for the phone. I can definitely get one for the keyboard
Message the guy who made the ROM and ask him.
I'm sure he will help you out.
At least you got it running
John

I agree.

If it's the SM-N9005 Unbranded version you can flash the region firmware of your choosing, SO if you go to Sammobile and choose the software for Holland it should have Dutch as language in the settings (right?)
Yes i know, the only problem is that sammobile only has the chinese firmware.
If thay had the dutch firmware i didn't encountered a problem xD.
Still, thanks for your reply and keep thinking ,

And you really don't know how i can get insinde the stock rom and manually change the language?
Thanks and still keep thinking .

Yup - moral of this story. Don't read forums after a nightshift! - - there is some info around on the N9006 - From what I have seen though it isn't that much different to the N9005, so a few tweaks and it should be OK.

Help to add French language

Can someone help me adding the French language to my N900V KK 4.4.2
I finally Managed to use the French language but complicated method.
I installed an At&t Rom with french language and after choosing the french language I install Rick's Rom without doing any Wipe (a non clean) and after that I killed the "setup Wizard" process at first boot, Now I'm using the french language.

It's been a while since I sold my Verizon N3 . Have You tried The Hyperdrive Rom or JasmineROM v2.x? I have not tested them but I think they have French language enabled since they are a port and not a stock verizon based Rom.

Saudações tricolores(Rio de Janeiro capital).
I´m writing in English, may be to help others, I bought almost 2 years ago an Galaxy S3 International version, but the seller
send to me a wrong one SGH-T999(T-Mobile), my sister brought to me, so, to send back here in Brazil was too difficult, and I
I´m still using this phone.
What I did, for first I Root the phone and use morelocale2, and try to use hidden language, but I didn't´t find any Portuguese language(I was using a stockroom already rooted from Dr. Hollyday).
But, I forced using "Custom Locale" feature(Morelocale2), and put at Language "pt"(ISO0639) and at Country "BR"(ISO3166), this means all applications ho check the setup language and has Portuguese Language, voilá, works in Portuguese, for example Google Maps, Agenda, etc..
But, after some time more cooked stockroom come up, and my latest one have already an Portuguese-Portugal language, and I´m using almost everything in Portuguese.
Right now I have another needs, my mom bought to her a Galaxy Tab P4 8", and she ask me to help her to put Portuguese Language, what I´m thinking to do is Root the device, and try to find a Hidden Portuguese using morelocale2 or Language Enabler.
obs: Cabeção-Flu any more questions in Portuguese you can send a pin, all right.
Thanks a lot, i'll try.
With morelocale2, will only apps be in pt-br or all system too?
Do you know if has hardware difference between T230, T230NT and T230NU?

I believe there's no diference on hardware, only software, all things related to regional stuff, likes language, apps, money, etc...
I will try to find out, did you check SAMMOBILE ?
I saw that Brazilian version SM-T230NT have TV....so, the hardware isn't the same.
I downloaded some versions of rom to t230 and t230NU....but all fail when try to put.
I can't downgrade to older version...
Do Morelocale 2 changes system menu to portuguese too?
Did work perfect!!
Thx a lot!

Need Help for change China to EU / German ROM

Hi @ all fantastic people on this forum.
First, I'm sorry for my bad english.
I'm from germany and search help by friendly people like you on this forum.
My Problem. I have a china "Samsung Galaxy Note 3" (SM-N9008V) the official Samsung firmware (lollipop 5.0), but it is in Chines and can only choose in English in Setup Device.
My goal is to get the "Note 3" to Flash for Germany (EUR) [DBT] STOCK Rom (- maybe CostumFirmware)
(CSC- is relevant?!; witch AP- *Stock-firmware for this model with german language; BL- update need?!?; CP- Modem update needed? = 4part flashing needed???)
The "Note 3" ist already rooted with odin CF-AUTO-root
i don't know how i get next steps.
Please, can anybody help to get the goal?
PS: i don't find similar problem
Thank you so much
Don't do it if you don't want a bricked device. Use a custom ROM to get the goal.
