To fix that, buy a new LCD.

Is looking at a full black screen in a dark room at high brightness something you do regularly OP?
Sent from my F8331 using Tapatalk

did you RMA'd it?

it looks like white color on the edge right?
i have it too because my phone has bent itself when he was in my back pocket :/

Every IPS device I have - two phones (one a P9 Lite), two tablets, one Dell monitor - has some degree of light bleed at the edges. It's the nature of IPS. As LadFromWales85 says, it's only really going to be a problem if you stare at a black image in a dark room... If you don't do that, it's going to be much less of an issue. Having said that, I did have a very cheap tablet that had awful light bleed at the bottom that was always visible, was like a gradient effect!
Really if you want to guarantee no light bleed, AMOLED is the way to go. But then you might start worrying about burn-in...
The bottom line is that no good will come of obsessing about things like this. Light bleed is normal with IPS and that photo is far from bad.

I have the same "problem" but is normal for the IPS panels.
Just enjoy your device
My device is HUAWEI P9 LITE VNS-L23
GOD BLESS YOU

i would say it's normal because that's just how the screen of S4 is. on my S4 also banding is visible especially on gray color. you might try to change phone for another one but think hard before doing it because you might get phone with screen that looks even worse.
Its not normal... I have this problem before with my previous galaxy and samsung replaced it for a new one..

I have that problem too, but didn't notice until about 3 months after purchase. Samsung doesn't replace with a new one, but a refurbished one, and who knows what problems a refurbished one will eventually happen. Anyone ever figure out if this was normal or not? Seems to be a lot of people with this issue if you do a simple Google search. It doesn't really bother me unless I'm on a gray screen.
I had the same problem on my Galaxy S5 too (horizontal lines)
goodbye Super AMOLED Display !!! :victory:
goodbye samsung !!! :victory:
I bought a LG G3 today http://forum.xda-developers.com/lg-g3 :good:

Does anyone have screen that have same color on the sides of the keyboard ? if u do please take a picture of it in low light room with minimum brightness.
This is not an "issue" no screen is perfect. You will have VERY SLIGHT discoloration here, while other will have it there or not at all. If you don't understand this, you will be annoyed by yourself always seeing that slight default

i want to sell it . And the question is - does anyone have perfect screen on note3 ? So i should buy another note3 or other device ...
perfect screens dont exist. Perfect cars dont exist, perfect people dont exist. Perfection doesn't exist.
I can say that i have a perfect screen, but then again, i wasn't looking for an imperfection like some members here tend to do. I'm sure if I start looking for one, I might find one, but whats the point? Unless you have a dead pixel, or distortion, its not this TINY difference in tint under the right lighting conditions thats will prevent you from selling it full price

[Q] N4 rear flash ring?

Hi there!
i recently bought an N4 and i love it but i was wondering why my rear flash is like the way it is (see pictures). I bought it completely new, or supposedly new, on ebay for around $200... i actually couldnt believe the price haha
any comments as to how to replace it? due to the flash lens/ring it allowed dust in the rear camera which is so annoying.
thanks!
I dont know, but my flash looks completely different. You sure that is a nexus 4 and not some fake stuff?

haha yeah it works perfectly fine though
another thing i noticed was this... i dont know if it's normal either
there's vertical lines when the screen is off and noticeable when caught in the light at certain angles........
i'm starting to think this was a broken phone but refurbished after
the rear flash ring is normal but the bars on the screen is a new one, i have never seen that, its usually a clear screen and you can see the dots from the digitizer from different angles.
maybe the screen has been replaced?

Wow, I've never seen such vertical lines on my n4 before. That is really strange, mate.
Although there are horizontal lines/patterns on the screen. They are conduction medium for the touch screen, but no..never seen such vertical ones...

Those who have S7s already, any hardware quirks/flaws to look out for?

My S7 Edge is coming tomorrow and I'm always paranoid about things like stuck pixels, dead pixels etc. Have any of you noticed anything that would make you want to exchange for another device?
Yeah. My S7 has way too many pixels. [emoji23]

got my s7 last wednesday and i absolutely love it!
no dead pixels, vibrator is strong, buttons work well and are responsive, speaker sounds fine, and the glass front/back are perfectly clear, not a scratch on it. And the Titanium Silver color is beautiful! I really don't want to put a case on it!!
Samsung has never let me down in terms of hardware flaws out-of-the-box.

No issues yet. Only quirk is installing apps. I Cannot find the option to disable "allow Google to regularly scan".

I dont know, maybe the glue or any protection more than normal, see this vĂdeo bellow, 3:38 second and you will see, all s7 edge have a green tone when have in a white image, for me it's annoying and is why I won't buy that model, I love the edge but this feature/annoying thing for me it's impossible, I constantly see and see the problem.

Dark line on display

My 9T display when there is low light, the brightness is set to low and the image I see on the display is darkish I can see a vertical line at the right side of the display, is this normal or should I return It?
multiple users reported similar issues with low brightness, some said it's a rom issue but to be sure, post a screenshot or something and wait for others to respond.

Replaced the phone and there is no line in the new one, you should return It.
I don't have something like that on mine. Looks like banding to me, like on TVs. It can happen, it's probably not important. Screens aren't perfectly uniform.
