Difference between X720 X722 X727 - LeEco Le Pro3 Questions & Answers

Hello,
what is the difference between X720 and X727 ? Is the hardware the same ?

720 international, can be 4gb or 6gb ram, bootloader unlockable
727 usa version, only 4gb ram, locked bootloader, additional frequency band for US.
Rest of the hardware same, AFAIK

Yeah just received the 727 and the bootloader is locked. That really sucks

LTE Bands 1/2/3/4/5/7/8/12/17/29/30/38

720 is also a dual sim phone

Somekne knows the lte bands of X720?. In some websites it says it has 1/3/7 and in others 1/2/3/4/5/7/8. Which one i believe?

FDD-LTE: B1/2/3/4/5/7/8/20
TDD-LTE:38/39/40/41
WCDMA: B1/2/4/5/8 TD-SCDMA: B34/39; EVDO:BC0/BC1
GSM:2/3/5/8; CDMA: BC0/BC1
from cn lemall ,it should be x720

Baseband is suspected to be the same for both models. See here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/le-pro3/help/x727-baseband-t3508884#post69837688

X722 - No NFC, Snapdragon S820

I just bought Le Pro 3 Elite (x722) for only $191
https://m.joybuy.com/ware/detail/2099074
It is a new product, first phones came out just two months ago. It is still on EUI 5.8 020s but the price/features/name is unbeatable

Wow great price, does it have English?

Sure, 99.99% stock roms on china phones have english or chinese to choose in language settings

Can you root it or change the ROM? There's no information about this device currently.

I didn't try root and there is no support for it. But I don't mind after playing with over 50 china phones and flashing roms on them and releasing adjusted china roms on Modaco forum and elsewhere.
The only software I have found by now is a generic unbrick rom:

Google apps can be easily installed through Google Installer v2 apk

I don't care if you can't root as long as you can change the rom or debloat this, but seems like there's NOTHING on xda, not a single tool or rom for it, that's why.
P.S. Also debloater is not working for X727 as far as I know, so you have to stick with the chinese bloat, and just use nova launcher.

You can debloat most of the China stuff in EUI, like:
- Turn off that video service screen on the left of Home screen
- Settings, app management, Installed apps - Uninstall
- Phone manager, App warehouse, Disable
- You can disable notifications for some apps, like calendar
It isn't a proper debloating but it moves china apps from the sight.

Well, good news for x722 owners.
There is an update to EUI 5.9 v 026s showing in my phone this morning

@dakok Let us know how it works... apparently nobody owns it so for now it does not have any community support. I don't know if it comes with gapps, but I think it's now on EUI 26s.

FDD-LTE by ROM?

So does it matter if I grab any Mi Note 2 and just install the global rom? Meaning that I grab the local and install the Global rom that it will work in the US on LTE? Thanks.
It's a confusing way they've named things but no.
Global rom and global edition are very different things.
The Global rom will run on all editions of the phone and includes Google apps.
The Global edition will run either Global or CN rom and has many more bands available for use.
Changing the ROM will not change the bands that the phone is capable of.

It's a hardware issue, not software.
Just wanted to be sure. I know that there are ways to open up LTE Bands on Snapdragon CPU, but don't know how easy or hard of is

I am not going to dissuade you from trying but I wouldn't try opening that can of worms and just get one of the newer Xiaomis that have global band support out of the box like the Mi Mix 2 or the Mi A1 (check the specs for both devices on gsmarena).

I am trying to find hard specifics on the Mi A1, as far as US Bands. We are about to get the Mi Note 2 Global, but my gawd is it hard to get Global ROMs from the Chinese sites. They can't seem to get shipments in and it's wait, wait, wait....
Been looking on the web for Mi A1 bands and I am under the impression it won't have several bands needed for Verizon/TMBL/AT&T....

Does dual stanby of x720/x722 differ from x820?

Hello, guys.
I have two leeco phones, x722 and x820.
My x820 perfectly support the dual standby (4G + 3G) with EUI indian version. (but not with EUI chinese version).
But my x722 incompletely support like as x820 with EUI chinese version.
In my country (South Korea), there is 3 network vendors (SKT / KT / LGU).
SKT and KT provide 4G and 3G services, and LGU provide only 4G service.
When I use SKT/KT, dual standby of x820 and x722 work perfectly.
But, when I use LGU with SKT or KT, only dual standby of x820 with EUI indian version work.
The cases of x722 with any ROM and x820 with EUI chinese version, the USIMs are activated only one by one. not standby simutaneously. (x720 is too)
What are the differences of network firmware between EUI chinese and indian version for x820?
I think if the differeces be applied to ROM for x720/x722, then x720/x722 can support dual standby perfectly in South Korea.
As I know, there is no EUI indian version for x720/x722.
How to port EUI indian version of x820 to x720/x722?
Have you checked the frequencies for your carrier? Check the product's listing and your carrier's supported frequencies. EDIT: looks like the x722 has all the frequencies required to work with your carriers on HSDPA and LTE. So the issue could be the ROM, or... it could be a hardware issue, OR you have to enter the APN settings for your carrier on one or both SIMs on the x722.
The x722 was only released in China, but was released internationally from Chinese sellers like Gearbest and Geekbuying, with unofficial, modified ROMs containing multiple languages. You should try flashing a custom ROM on the x722 to see if the issue gets solved. Like LineageOS or AICP. Or you can even try a modified version of 26s (AKA custom ROMs by users here). Be sure to go through the thread stickied here before attempting anything though (whatever you do, don't update to stock 26s, only modded 26s found here in the forums).

In that case, it could be a hardware limitation. I don't think the issue would be APN settings at that point. Again, you can try a custom ROM but I don't know if it would help with modem issues like yours. This phone has no official English ROM like other Le phones, which have either official Indian or U.S. ROMs, and no kernel sources have been released for this device, so developing for this phone is already annoying as is.

Phone versions

Hello I am looking to buy this phone for my mom. I will flash a custom ROM on the phone but I can see there are few models of the phone so my question is which one supports the custom roms and which one to buy. Thank's.
Sent from my ZUK Z2131 using Tapatalk
im actually selling mine if u interested. i have the version that has all/the most custom rom support. the LEX727 is the one i have and the one you need for the custom roms.
You're looking for le pro3 x720/x727. It has snapdragon 821, nfc and most of custom firmwares. X720 is for chinese market and it has 2 sim card slots, and x727 is only sold in usa and it has only 1 sim. There're lots of sellers on aliexpress who sell x720 just for 200-250 bucks, so i'd recommend that.
There's also x722, it has snapdragon 820 and no nfc, but its also cheaper, you can get one for like 150-170$. Some of custom roms for x720 also work on x722, so there's that.
x720 had 4/32, 6/64 (s821, nfc, dual sim, inc. eu and cn bands), x727 had 4/64 (s821, nfc, single sim, inc. usa bands) x722 had 4/32, 6/64 (Elite, s820, NO nfc, dual sim, inc. eu and cn bands), x650 (AI version, mediatek)...
Thank's guys.

Can we flash global rom on chinnese version?

My question isnt about language is about the band frecuency global version can support.
Or we can have issues with antirollback? And need to have unlocked bootloader.
Maybe even with bootloader unlocked bands will not be abailable.
Thanks for reading

The global version of the Redmi K20 as the Xiaomi Mi 9T will be on sale on Monday, June 17th with the 6GB/64GB version on sale for 299 Euros for that day only while supplies last. Phones come down in price after 2-3 months. Bands are shown here under Specs https://www.mi.com/global/mi-9-t/specs/
You need to unlock bootloader first then can flash to any firmware Global EU RU, but this will not give you band support. bands are hardware thing.

Only for the Taiwan and Indonesia variants, but on the global variant, the ROM can be changed after unlocking bootloader.
I have installed Taiwan MIUI official ROM on my global variant of POCO M3, and I re-locked bootloader (by using the option "clean all and lock" in Mi Flash), now the phone has the MIUI dialer with automatic call recording, and it can still receive OTA updates for Taiwan ROM.

Yes, I have compared the specs of POCO M3 on the websites of POCO Global and POCO Taiwan, they support the same network bands.

The POCO Taiwan website is in Chinese language, but Taiwan ROM still has all the languages that global ROM has, the language can be chosen during setup.
