I am facing a rather weird problem on moto g4 play. When i pulg in the headset to hear music , and when i remove the headset then no sound is coming from the speaker i apps like dialer , music app , youtube etc. This requires a restart as after it the issue is solved. Can anyone help me with that ?

i have recently bought nexus 4 .. a month back !
It was working fine but today as i was using the paranoid android rom out of a sudden the sound just disappeared. no ringtone no media no notification no sound at all
when i attend the call theres not a single sound.
what kind of problem am i experiencing ? is it a hardware ( speaker problem) or software?
PS: I have factory wiped and flashed 4.3 stock image from fresh and tried the recovery as well but nothing seems to work.
When i try to run mp3 file nothing hapens or google player says cannot play this file.
Not even getting the sound through headset !!

Hey fellas,
So, it appears that the problem is related to the device thinking that headphones are plugged in. I would assume it is some kind of hardware fault.
However, there is an easy way to work around it (took me days of despair to find it) - install the app "soundabout" from the app store (cant post a link because I do not have 10 posts yet) . Under the media audio setting you can route all media sound through the speakers, thereby bypassing the problem. You do not need the pro version, but if this program just saved you from buying a new device...
app does not require anything other than a one time install and setup, so no annoying icons or thelike. only problem i encountered is that switching to different accounts on the device somehow mutes the sound, and it requires a restart to get it back to working. If anyone encounters the same limitation, let me know (or better, find a fix for it )

Hi Guys,
This is my first samsung so maybe its a samsung thing, but when I listen to music on my phone everytime a new notification comes through either mail or sms or anything really that triggers a notification alert to make a noise it cuts my headphones and starts playing the notification and my music through the loudspeaker and then when the notification tone is done the music routes back in to the headphones.
It is really annoying and is there an app to fix this?
This is almost more annoying to people in the same room as me than it is to me.
I'm on the latest factory ROM, rooted.

Thanks, I've used SoundAbout in the past to fix issues with a cheap knockoff chinese phone, I was hoping there was a better fix hah, that will have to do for now
If you are using a player such as poweramp you can stop this pause and resume by going into settings/audio/audio focus and change the settings to not pause and resume. It will play the music and notifications at the same time. Otherwise do the above steps and turn down your notification volume to 0 manually. You will still get notifications without interfering the music.
I haven't tried other players yet but worth looking into the settings for the same features

Hey tuys , i am using moto g4 play xt1602, i am facing a problem in it, suddenly the sound in the speaker is very low. I become harder to listen music during travelling through speakers. Do anyone have any solution to it. I bootloader is unlocked.

since today my phone will not play any audio through its speakers.
At first, it was only media audio, i.e. Youtube videos or music, that would have no sound.
The alarm sound and my ringtone would still play as usual.
Unfortunately, after checking again this evening they don't work anymore either.
The only time the speakers seem to be working is when I put someone on speakerphone.
If I just leave a call as is, I can't hear anything.
Although somehow the caller - instead - hears themselves with a slight delay.
Everythings works fine with headphones though.
I've tried resetting my phone, which hasn't helped at all, so I'm kind of lost.
Does anybody have any suggestions?

Ive got exactly the same problem. The speakers dont work unless i put the phone on speakerphone in a call. And even then the sound is buggy.
Did you install in the meantime any magisk module?

I just wanna try to inform you, when I try to connected bluetooth from M1 pro to my bluetooth speaker, it can be connected normally, the problem is when I tried to play a music from my phone, the sound like in slow music. I have tried using another music player, but the problem still have a same sound, it could be a hardware problem or other issue, but when I play a music in youtube or playing a game over bluetooh the sound is normal, why play music on my device using bluetooh the sound like in slow singing... anyone have the same problem?? please tell me.. and how to fix it??

I got 4 scary post not to buy this phone, do you have any other alternative device in ur mind
And i just ordered it today, hope it works with my speaker.
The only alternatives i see are the rn5 pro(costs more) and realme 1. (No bl unlock)

This thing didn't happen in my bluetooth headset and in my device.

Yup, the low volume problem still exists after the ota update.I use mivi-t-beats Bluetooth headset & the sound is extremely low even at 100% , no base nothing just flat sound as compared to when I use them with any other phone. They just sound about 65% at 100% volume when used with m1 pro as compared to any other phone though it has aptx hd audio codec:crying::crying:
