Title says everything

Yawn! All the specs the "flagship killer" should have had to begin with. I have been a OPO customer since the early waitlist for the one. With each new phone I am increasingly underwhelmed. My recent escapades with support regarding a $12 screen protector have sent me over the edge. My fifth OPO will likely be my last.
Sent from my ONEPLUS A3000 using XDA-Developers mobile app

I posted the same at the OP forums and here's my view on this
I got mine a week back, If this comes on 14, I will ask them for sending me a new phone and I'd pay the extra if it does cover within the 15 day return, cannot keep the old phone where the development will shift to the 3T and the 3 will be lost in dust sooner than expected. If they won't I guess I'd have to bear with and definitely I wouldn't buy any HW from OP next time.
On the side note, I already have this loose clicky rocker and the antenna band on the bottom has a slight imperfection like a speck has stuck beneath (not visible with photos, but can be felt with finger and noticed with eye under light and close up, I discarded the Idea of RMA because of the slowest snail process which is nuts) that It was out of the box and the custom ROMs community is a HELL, The Encryption / Bootloops / Softbrick and needing to use the Qualcomm download mode & Flashing of Zips for the stock and all is too messy why not use a fastboot image style of flashing ? And 3.5.5CB using the community to test out the software but no rollout, free bug testing yeah smart move but you are not M$ to implement such type of strategies, even so M$ is a failure nice inspiration there.
Refining them and optimizing would be ideal than to announce a new hardware.
What a stupid corp, for the slight bump from 821 and the new IMX sensor & perhaps some extra juice more all that for an extra premium and again release the damn OP4 to rekt them ? I see Sony type marketing style here...
Joke of the decade Carl, History repeats, Claps !!
I hope the next Nexus Pixel would be better so that I can use it freely without any jank

The thing is I love the Hardware - Screen is nice, Build is quite sleek and robust, Bezels are perfect, Notification light and the sensor hub positioning and black bezel just blends into them, The NAND is fast, The Speakers powered with NXP amps is fantastic & battery is good with CM13Sultan - It's a beast, The failure of recognizing this by the company who made it possible is such irony and a sad twist...Hope it's a tablet.

3T is not coming, you guys and your rumors.

I heard that the launch date for it is on the 14th of November. I think Android Authority stated it?? Kinda disappointed though cause I just got my op3 last week. They might even drop support for it so they can take care of their new "baby"

Hype for the 4 is fine, not some knock-off of the S's variants of iPhone. The trend is a poor business model. There's been no official news on it from OnePlus, and somehow there's an unofficial official release date.

What about the S2?
Sent from my GT-I9000 using XDA App
Their keynote from the President is tomorrow.
Hmmm... It sure looks like a nice device. I sure hope that Samsung has all the bugs worked out by the time this hits the market and Id like to see it here in Canada as well...
I've come to really like the physical home button (missing from this new model) on the i9000 as well as that little hump at the botton of the back. Two ways to easily orrient the phone without having to look at it.
Would that 50% more subpixels really improve the text quality on the SAMOLED-plus ?
I hope they sorted out the screen burn issues..

8 MP Camera won't change much if the lens and sensor are still of the same size. Anyway always remember that your display is about 2 MP (full HD)
The best improvement is S-AMOLED+. 4.5" is also interesting, but some people will prefer smaller phones. That extra 200 MHz is better than nothing, but I hope that they also added more RAM or the performance will be about the same.
Hmm I hope something like this hits the UK. I'd love a 4.5" Galaxy S Although I'd rather wait for some major dual core phones to hit the market.
[whistle|thinks] Maybe the GSM version will be [/whistle|thinks]
4,5 inches?? Wow that's just too much, 4 inches are just perfect, but i wouldn't go any larger.. i'd like to see a 3,7 oder 4 inches superamoled+ samsung dual core 8 MP with xenon light and honeycomb android.. everything else would be just a minor upgrade ^^

gimme a break. the bigger the better, as long as it fits in your pocket. and ive got OODLES of room left with my galaxy s. my wallet is a lot wider and wallets are designed to go in your pocket.
I'm glad that AMOLED has now got to the point that they can drop PenTile!

Exactly...i dislike the idea of having a phone bigger than 4". Even when going for the SGS i was a little undecided. Id rather not have a huge hand held game like device as a phone, it should look sleek and professional, but these qualities are compromised the bigger the size. Bigger screen and therefore phone doesnt mean better. Its nice to be able to use the galaxy s with the same hand that is holding the phone.
Bigger size is just a waste in my opinion.
I cant say I see this as much of an improvement over the current sgs, where the hell is Orion? Delayed? Dropped off the radar?
And yeah, the 4.5" screen sounds like a bit much.
Not sold on 4.5" here either. Even 4" (as much as I like it over smaller sizes) is a stretch to use with one hand. It is a reach to hit the far side in 'landscape' orientation.
In terms of just looks though it should be a stunner with RGB sub-pixels instead of pentile.
I think this may be classed as a 'middle-man' to the S2.
Not too much will chance, but as I'm completed addicted to this Galaxy S and Android in general, I will no doubt upgrade to the SGS+

First Nexus 6 on video?

Dodgy vine unboxing video aside, I think this is the first hands-on of the Nexus 6, and it's also compared to the Note 4!
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5Fn8OnzDO5Y
Video Summary:
Note 4 display has better colours.
Note 4 has slightly sharper images (likely the 3mp extra coming into account)
Nexus 6 has better low light images and flash
Nexus 6 has the better software (surprising no one at all)
Shame its so short and doesnt really go into any of the other features. I really wanted to know how the Stereo speakers were on the Nexus 6.
notice how finalized model doesn't have that metal dimple but just like the 1st gen Moto X, wonder what changed their minds, it felt pretty good on 2nd MotoX.

I noticed that. Now I'm a bit confused. I want the white Nexus 6, but not if the dimple in the back is going to be black. Is the one in the video just not the final version or something?

The phone in the video is not the final version.
I also noticed that the video states the nexus 6 to have an LCD display while it has an AMOLED display. It's most likely a preproduction unit or something.
Holy crap thats bigger than I expected
Note 4 screen was just wow... but nexus screen is clearly bigger...
What's really disappointing is that the Note 4 has more vibrant and saturated colors and a much brighter screen. Hopefully the final release will have a brighter screen.

Could be something as simple as different ambient light sensor settings. Samsung may have it designed to crank the brightness up higher than it really would need to be? Who knows.
Also have to take into account the angles at which he was holding the phones. When he's holding them both up in front of him while the video is playing, they seem to be angled slightly towards each other... and the Nexus 6 seems to be getting a lot more glare. When you see him browsing the settings menu, the brightness difference is much less prominent.

The Note 4 has a basic color setting (in addition to typical AMOLED saturations), which works so well,
it is the most accurate smartphone display ever made.

I highly anticipate Samsung didn't give the N6 access to their latest and greatest AMOLED technology like they did their own flagship - enough said until official reviews post.

Both devices are at 100% manual brightness when on the home screen and settings pages (unsure on video, but likely the same). Do remember that on auto brightness, the Note 4 can actually go up another 140~ nits as part of an outdoor boost mode. The Note also has adaptive display color modes (likely enabled by default here) to saturate colors to increase contrast in sunlight, in addition to their less reflective glass panel. Samsung got it right from how it looks so far. Perplexed as to why they'd do an outside video though with a crappy camera.

Well this is going to suck then lol. That means the Nexus 5 display will be similar to that of the S4.

SO you think that only Samsung Produce AMOLED panels ?
AU Optronics also make AMOLED displays, also I can't imagine Moto asking Samsung for the display in the first place as Im sure Samsung would stitch them up something rotten.
Regardless of who makes the panel its mor eof the fact that google have a 6" because this is all it is about who can make the best Phablet.
As long as the Battery can handle the screen i can't see why it wont sell in droves to the Phablet market over the note if the price is right, if its too close to the Samsung people will just buy the Samsung and not compromise.
The note 4 retails here between £550 and £600, so the Nexus 6 is going to have to respond to that !
so unless the lowest model of the N6 is around £450 i can't really see areason not to go with Sammys offerings and just ditch Touchwhizz when you get root and flash Stock.
Dont forget with a nexus we can change the screen color with custom kernels. If you want more contrast, add it! At least this is how i remember it on my galaxy nexus.

If that's the case, it shouldn't be bad by any means... just not as good efficiency or accuracy wise as the new displays.

Perhaps not only Samsung, but I'm sure they're the best. They have plenty of money and invented the technology...
The N6 may be 6", but for the average user they are losing that additional screen space to buttons. And the S-Pen is something that puts the Note a whole league ahead of the N6. Size isn't everything, especially when you hit the phablet sector. All these phones are big, so what else do they have to offer?
Don't get me wrong, I've been a Nexus user for years and just recently got the G3 to try it out (big mistake). I want the N6 to be amazing and win me over, but I feel like I'm going to be somewhat let down compared to other flagships yet again which is a big deal considering the price isn't any different now.

In your Case if your G3 is your Daily Driver i don't think the Nexus 6 will be disappointing as you have no L preview to flash and get used to Lollipop, the G3 is a solid device bar the OS skin which is so cluttered.
The best thing about the Nexus 6 will be the Build quality, the N5 is so soft and has finally succomed to light dinks out of the plastic and cracking between the plastic around the side volume / power and sim.

I thought the back of the Nexus 6 was soft plastic again? Either way the phone is gorgeous. I'm not sure how much I like the front of it though.. reminds me a lot of the Nexus 4.
My G3 has a great camera, and amazing display. It could be brighter, and a little warmer for color accuracy, but it is IPS and I love it. The problem with the G3 isn't within cluttered OS (I find it to be pretty close to stock Android), but with lag, build quality, probable lack of dev, and bugs.
The 801 cannot handle this device, plain and simple - at least in terms of Nexus speed. It also overheats when things get crazy. The phone looks great, don't get me wrong. But the casing has reportedly cracked at ports because it is still plastic (must be crap plastic at that). I do love the front design of the phone (back is whatever because it's always been in a case), especially in white. The T-Mobile boot loader has been open since day 1, and development is still dead. ATT just got theirs unlocked, but I feel like the device just isn't going to take off at this point. Reception has been a pain where I'm currently located, WiFi drops and hesitates to reconnect all too frequently, WiFi calling messes up, WiFi hotspots are broken without apps, and int'l roaming didn't work out of the box to name a few issues. LG software support is crap, so I have no hope for this device.
But then you might say - it's Android, who cares about bad software? Well, with a lack of dev, that is still a problem. Secondly, I used to be a flashaholic. I've had Android since the G1 debuted in 2008. But I've grown out of constantly flashing, updating, tinkering... I'll do a few things here or there, but I kept my Nexus 5 stock (rooted w/ recovery though) the entire time I've had it (still do). I did a few modifications, but that's it. I change phones every year or so because I haven't had one that just blew me away and made me feel like I could keep it for awhile, without needing to try a million different ROMs either. The Note 4 or Nexus 6 could be that device I actually keep more than a year IF they deliver the whole package. Displays and cameras are finally getting where they need to be, and if the hardware and software can make the phone blazing fast, I have everything I need.
Sent from my LG G3
Don't get me wrong, I loved the SPen in note 2 and 3.
But Touchwiz is just painful. Custom ROMs void the warranty too.
Plus the Exynos variant is quite a bit more powerful than the more common Snapdragon version, and also has a better camera and wolfson DAC. However, Exynos has poor ROM support outside of tweaked Touchwiz. And as I say, warranty = void.
A custom launcher can't get rid of all that bloat unfortunately. The note 4 pretty much maxes all available RAM out of the box due to the bloat.
Screen might not be as good, but the build quality looks to be better, front facing speakers, and above all else a phone that you can do whatever you want to. No restrictions.
Literally the only bad thing in my eyes is the lack of micro SD support, but everyone knew that before it was announced anyway. 64GB is more than enough for me.

Agreed. I read somewhere on reddit on a oneplus q and a thing that the new phone would be made of more luxurious materials, which wouldn't cost a lot more to manufacture (presuming metal) but would be conceived as a higher quality product, therefore justifying a higher price tag.
At the end of the day they are a business and if what they have been telling us is true (making very little profit) then they'll want to make some second time around.
I think the original is a fantastic phone and is only lacking one major thing for me (800 4g band), so I might well skip a generation.

Yes, it's really a pity 800 band is not supported. It made me a little reluctant on buying the one, I wish there could be a way to activate this band. (I know some people try to do it but, not surprisingly, it seems to really be hardware related)
Am I the only one who just doesn't like a full metal body on a phone? It's just too heavy and slippery. I really like my phones with a high quality plastic case and maybe some minor parts in metal. The new HTCs are a deal breaker for me because of that. The OPO got the perfect combination.
Highly unlikely this is true... Official China OP forum also speculating but mostly treating as false...
And i would have thought OP2 should be more than an incremental upgrade and will have OP's own new ROM, not Color.
Let's see but agree this should be taken with big grain of salt..

Most of it is fake, the rest are just guesses. Probably just to attract the volume to the site.
For example, dimensions are the same as OPO, while front side is almost bezel-free with same screen size? Yeah, right

+1 on this 805 is not much of an upgrade...
Expecting much more from OnePlus. It needs to be a major upgrade to remain relevant; other flagships are going to see major upgrades this year.
I even have a new slogan for them:
One plus two
two times as unresponsive as the one!
I'm sending my second device back now, I will never buy a phone from this company again! I was very happy with the phones at first but after a while it starts getting ghost swipes, unresponsive screen wrong registrations... I really think all devices will get this once the weather gets to hot...
Sad thing is I really love CM12 the design is right the camera's good etc... And there is not really an alternative for that price.
The phone has leaked again on Geekbuying according to an article on Chinese-smartphones.com
$600, no thanks. No phone is worth that much.
I really like my one plus one?. What would make me excited on a new phone is the USB c? Connector so I can not insert the charger cable wrong.
The rest about bigger, better and faster is somehow less exciting...

[RUMOUR] MI MIX NANO (5.5inch) spotted in the wild

"A new leak out of China today claims to show a smaller, 5.5-inch version of the Mi Mix photographed alongside its already unveiled bigger brother. The pictures aren't the best, as you can see, so there's still a chance this might be a hoax of sorts." ~article

This really pisses me off. I would've waited and gotten the 5.5 inch version instead. Now I already have the 6.4 inch version on the way, which I paid a prime for. I'd pick 5.5 over 6.4 any day.

i would prefer a bigger version like a 6.98 inch (not 7 to categorize as a phone) with the screen stretched out so much a 7 inch version should still be compact-recall using the Sharp SH-06F briefly 2 years back-that like an 81-83% screen to body ratio and it felt very small and compact. This one would be even better at that screen size.

Definitely! I'm not sure how I am going to like going from my 7 inch Mediapad X2 to a 6.4 inch screen. 7 inch is the sweet spot for me.
It's not a rumour, it's real. Definitely coming. This is the mass production version I hinted at in another post ... surprised it leaked so soon, so maybe its release is imminent and they intend to produce both concurrently rather than discontinue the Mix in favour of it.
I haven't heard anything about nor do the leaks say anything of the camera ... really hope it's a decent Sony or Samsung unit, not the POS Omnivision in the Mix.

You can have a phone > 7 inches, and you can have tablets < 7 inches.
I think, however, phones are "long enough". There seems to be an accepted max length for phones.
It's no surprise that the iphone + phones, the mi mix, and all the galaxy notes are roughly the same length.
If the phone was any longer, then it wouldn't be (front) pocketable anymore, and that's a major issue.
The mi mix was the first phone to actually go -wider- than normal, which is nice.

The reason I mentioned 6.98 is that is the diagonal screen size that is the threshold between a tablet and a phone per the carriers etc..basically 7 becomes a tablet in the eyes of the carriers...yes it could easily be 7.7 or 7.5 or 6.8

Not gonna argue with you. But please check your grammar/spelling first before you post.
It is big indeed. I bought it for other reasons. Had I known a 5.5 inch version is coming out, I wouldn't have bought it.
5.5" would be perfect if it shared the camera module of Mi5s / Pixel, the IMX386.
Also, 5.5" should be readily available without huge mark ups, unlike the Mix. Sharp already has a couple of 5.5" panels suitable for edgeless devices in mass production. The 6.4" is only sample currently.

guys guys...fighting over a phone that most (maybe even you do not have) or that is not even out yet!...
not worth it...
abrasive language or requesting spell checks (lol)
now if someone wants to sell the 6.4 because the 5.5 looks better...I'm all ears!

I am actually contemplating if I should sell it as I'm seriously concerned about its larger-than-normal size (currently own the HTC 10 and love it). were you serious about buying it though? Let me know if you are interested.
jim..I sent you a pm

If you put it up for sale on Swappa,I'd be interested in buying it.
Please keep us posted/send a PM this way (subscribed to this thread) if you do indeed sell it. :good:
If you're used to phones like any of the Samsung Note series than the 6.4 MI MIX is very similar.. Only very slightly larger in hand. I think it it's great that they are bringing out a 5.5 version as well. This way there it's something for those of us who like larger phones and those who prefer something smaller.
Also... From what I gather it seems the 5.5 will have a smaller capacity than it's larger brother and that may be of importance to some as well.
I have the 6.4 MI MIX with 6GB/256GB... I love it... Its very quick... The screen is simply amazing... And the size with its screen to body ratio is just perfect to me..

THX.
I ordered one from an e-Bayer soon after that post, ETA 11 /25/16-12/2/16.
Should this sale fall apart/never materialize, I'll contact you via Swappa, if it's still available.
Conversely, I'll post with a mention to you if the one I ordered arrives.
@trey.mcd
Just got an update on the tracking, mine is on its way.
I'm certain you'll be getting some offers for yours soon, good luck. :good:

Thanks boss! hope you enjoy yours.... Also bummed that the nano appears to no longer be legitimate http://www.phonearena.com/news/5.5-...-real-says-Xiaomis-marketing-director_id88176

real Oneplus 5T pics?

What do you think? real or fake?
Real...
( I hope ..cause I want to buy it )
Doubt it... Two reasons:
a) Buttons placement (alert slider and volume rocker on the same side);
b) Look at the "T" of the alleged website: font seems different

The alert slider & volume rocker is on the same side on the OnePlus 5. Not sure what you meant there?

Man... you're right!
Don't know why, but the picture just didn't seem right to me... Funniest part (or not) is that I own a OP5...
(short sleep results in this... guess it's time to drink a gallon of coffe. )
Anyway, I'm sticking with the "T" part...

This thing is coming....samsung has just put way too much pressure with their extremely successful bezel reduction on all the other manufacturers...
I'd be surprised, if OP didn't dive in that hype, though personally I prefer my sweet bezels

Wow awesome
I'm feeling like it's pretty credible at this point. And yes although it sucks for those of use with a 5 already since they'll probably not be putting that much effort into updates anymore it's kind of their pattern now I guess.

Updates will be merged. If a 5T is coming, it will have the same hardware as the normal 5.
I don't see why they can't update both then since the only difference would be the bigger screen.
Will they put the screen in the correct orientation is the question. I still don't understand how they got away with calling the 5's orientation "normal". I buy 1+ because of the dev support, but that stuff rubs me the wrong way. Consumers aren't stupid. And they better not take away the headphone jack!!

The T does look out of place. Like it was photoshopped or placed there after. Doesn't look legit . not worth the upgrade from the op5

Totally agree if this is what 5t will be.
Although I have to say: I'm not getting the selling strategy OnePlus is enduring. It's almost like they're discouraging people to buy the first iteration of the new product...
Besides that, last year they said that the "T" scene was circumstancial and that they wouldn't repeat it... I guess it's getting harder for OEMs to keep a promise, these days.
Sent from my OnePlus 5 using XDA Labs
sounds like they have been milking the OP5 sales to get funding for the 5T, which would explain why they are continuously out of stock of the 5 now. they are cutting production cost of the 5 to redirect funds to production of 5T
Yeah after this experience I definitely feel like I'm actively discouraged to by the normal versions and just wait for the T. At which point the OnePlus will be competing with the new iphones, and all the new flagships released to capture the holiday season. Along with the discounted flagships that were released july. It'll be harder to justify getting the T and basically anyone that follows OP will just wait for the T all the time now if it becomes a pattern. Why get the normal one when a better one is only a little bit away?
https://www.droid-life.com/2017/11/10/oneplus-5t-leak/
There's zero mystery left - that answers every question. For some reason, even though I thought I was quite sure to buy one, I'm not feeling it. Looks like cameras are exactly the same, battery is the same (3300mah) and just a larger screen with FPR on back. Damn. Might start thinking about HTC U11+ again.

'The only difference between the cameras on this device and those of the 5 are in the “Secondary” image sensor, which now has an aperture of f/1.7 instead of f/2.6. This image sensor is now an IMX 376K instead of IMX 350.'
