Performance difference 4GB <-> 6GB? - LeEco Le Pro3 Questions & Answers

Hi guys,
Any idea if there is a significant performance difference between the 4GB and 6GB version? Do you think the 6GB version is worth the 50€ difference?
Best regards,
Sascha

Performance wise there is no difference only how much apps you can run in the background is limited by the amount of RAM.
Personal I bought the 6gb version only because the phone is cheap as hell and more ram can't hurt

thats what i get with the 6 gb ram..!!

i noticed when you run lots of apps ( keep them open), the 6g ram can maintain the speed better. which means you dont need to close apps. i sometimes see that if i open many files including multiple media on line video file, i can use as much as 4.5g of ram. but most time, i use about 3.5 g ram. so definitely a 6g is a better choice over 4g especially for the long term, as many apps a simply getting bigger and bigger.

RAM(Program) Memory 336.97MB or 448MB???

I have got a HD2 but would like to know what my program/RAM memory size should be?
Mine seems to have 336.97MB as shown in the screenshot below...but the official specification for the HD2 states that i should have 448MB.
Could people please check their devices and report below what size they have?

It's been reported several times. You have 448 installed but not all of that memory is available to applications, some memory is used for system critical components and possibly video. You can think about it this simplified way: your operating system allocates memory to applications, but when you turn your device on, it's not even loaded yet. And even during boot time you need things like display driver, OS loader to work and have memory available. That's where the difference between 448 and whatever WM reports goes.
No reason to be alarmed, Dragon. That's the way it is...
Checkout this particular video review (jump to 5:10) - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bUa1TJ3DXJo
The difference is just for video and what is currently running. (Touchflow, basic services etc) Rest is for programs.

RAM in the MT4G

Hey, all. I'm reviewing my phone and according to Quadrant System information, my Total Memory on my Mytouch is 642,320 KB which would be around 627MB. The phone is supposed to have 768MB. What i want to know is what are the specs for other user's phones? Should i be concerned about the application telling me that the phone only has 627MB when it should be 768? Is some of that RAM not being seen by the phone but instead doing something in the background?
Thanks for replies.
Mine shows the exact same number as yours.
the gpu is probably sharing the same ram as the system
kk, just wanted to be sure that im not the only one with these numbers.
As with any number based in the digital world, those numbers are NOT a direct reflection of the actual amount. In tech terms 1Ghz is 1024. Not 1000. Your phone as well as mine and everyone else with a MT4G has 768. Some of that is allocated to system resources. Just like your computer's HDD and RAM.
Correcto. The system has "locked" about 150 megs of RAM to be allocated soley for core processes and cant be accessed by anything else.
Yeah, mine says almost the same thing in Quadrant.

Galaxy S 4G Low Memory

Out of the box I have 190mb free. This isn't supposed to be normal is it? Did Samsung/T-Mob really put .8gb worth of **** on here?
190 mb rom left? Thats sad.
^Exactly. That's why I don't know if mine has a problem or that's just how it is. I'm hoping more people with the phone come in and comment
Same situation here so yours don't have a problem, I think this is just how it is out the box.
I caught it the day it launched.

It's the same pic I posted in another thread.
T-Mobile and Samsung need to explain the application storage problem. It's not better than nexus one if the storage isn't that much.
It does indeed have 1gb total internal with only 190mb free for apps. I can't install anything past the 50mb left mark though...keeps telling me the memory is insuficient and to delete apps 1st...Called Tmobile tech and they said they hadn't heard of that issue yet. I'm sure developers will be able to make some changes to rooted phones and bring back some lost storage so I'm not too worried. It won't be quite as easy to use Clockwork recovery and flash a new ROM though since there might not be enough free room to put the rom on the internal storage. I'm sure we can use ODIN to put a new one on though...

Htc sense ui uses alot of ram. Cm7 is very basic so the ui dosent use much ram at all
Sent from my HTC Vision using XDA App
Im actually running CM7 too, forgot to mention
My free ram over 250MB too, maybe you should try another ROM, you can try Virtuors g-lite 1.0.2-1.0.3. This is the lightest rom, i think. But i'm using MIUI osimood 1.7.15 v1.2 ^^

[Q] problem with 4.2.2 (is it normal?)

I just upgrade from 4.2.1 to 4.2.2 a week ago, and it seem to eat a lot of the ram(eats battery)

Its always around 300mb in 4.2.1
Can you guys please tell me if this is normal or not? (Virus?)
I think 4.2.2 allocates more memory to the GPU, so it looks pretty normal to me.

My device have been heat up so easily after I upgrade to 4.2.2
there has been lots of talk about the ram use on the various forums. this seems normal for 4.2.2

same problem here, device heats up without doing much. It was not like this before.
I'm running 4.2.2, 2 users profiles
We know the allocation of ram is lower due to the GFX now getting more, thats a known fact.
The issue is that the use of ram in 4.2.2 is whack!
Device is getting hotter and slower the longer its on. Mine was baking just playing videos in the browser.
Run "OS Monitor" and see whats going on?
