Cannot access NOOK folder (the internal memory) - Nook Touch General

Hello everyone,
newbee here!
Well before I go on I want to tell you that I searched all over the thread but didn't find similar problem. Anyway if there was please send me a link to see how can I solve my problem.
I have a NSTG which was rooted before I had bought it. How it was rooted and which ROM version it was I do not know. One week ago when I opened it to continue reading a book it booted and started the registering proccess. I realized that something wrong has happened to it. The registering process failed and I followed instructions from this link to restore it to factory state.
Now I have stock ROM 1.1.5 but I'm looking forward to root it. I came across the ROM 1337 and I want to use it for the rooting proccess.
First I have to manually update it to 1.2.1 (following the instructions from B&N site) and then to root it but my current problem is that I cannot access the internal NOOK folder from my computer.
I did the restore proccess two times because I thought I did something wrong but with the same results. I even had a chat session with B&N support clerk and he assured me that I should be able to access the internal NOOK folder from my PC. Don't worry I didn't tell him I had a rooted Nook. So now I cannot copy the .zip file to the internal memory and manually invoke the update procedure. When I insert an SD card into the reader I can access it but not the internal memory.
I remember I could do this before the problem appeared. Anyway in My Computer in Windows 7 64-bit I can see the SD card and another drive. When I try to open that other drive I get a message "Please insert a disk into Removable Disk F:"
I tried to insert my reader in another computer but the problem remains.
I'm posting a picture of the partitions:
So some help would be much appreciated!

I guess I have posted in the wrong section.
Please, Mod,
move my previous post to the "Help thread"

/system/etc/vold tells the UMS what to mount
It should mount /media and /sdcard as two disks.
You should be able to see this as two disks in your desktop file explorer.
Does /media even exist?

PLEASE HELP! Format internal memory to NTFS by accident!

I've just got my Nook today and by a stupid mistake, I accidentally format the internal memory of the nook to NTFS. At first the format process when smoothly, nothing happen, but when I unplugged the Nook, it start getting an error message and ask for restarting, after restart, it kept asking for restarting again! This become a loop. So, I try restoring it to stock by following this thread:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=914690
I try everything including the "last attempt" zip file. It did roll back everything but the internal memory still unavailable from inside the nook, I can copy file to it in windows (I use windows 7). The funny thing is I cannot format the internal memory in windows 7 again!
So please help me with this matter. I wish to be able to access to the internal memory again. Helps are very appreciated!!!
I almost desperate...
Try formatting it via Linux (use a live cd if you don't have an installation)

[Q] not seeing files on SD card from PC

ok i'm using taboonay 2.0 with Thor's 3.0 kernel. I can see all the files on my SD card through root explorer and if i take the card out and hook it up to my pc. My question is why when i plug my iconia into my PC i can see the card, but can't see any files on it? Wasn't 3.2 supposed to fix this or it something on my end? haven't tried to reformat it cause it isn't a big issue to me just trying to figure out why.
i have sorta similar issue. I can access sdcard in root explorer or other apps, but if i pop it out it get interesting. I can still browse the sdcard contents in any file explorer even though i am holding it in my hand. Also i have not been able to access the sdcard from the latest clockwork recovery. The only directory there is LOST. So i take it to the pc and same thing, only the LOST directory, pop it back in the tablet, fire it up, browse to /sdcard directory, all the files i have downloaded are right there still along with that LOST directory......
So i cant flash anything now. Tried reflashing CWR from the Acer Recovery Installer, no progress. Tried formatting sdcard on pc using the tool in the sticky, same thing, cannot access sdcard in CWR.
Help.
**update: so here's what i found, apparently there is a directory called sdcard on my tab that is actually local system memory. It has all my downloaded files in it. I mounted the tablet with USB to my pc and moved one of the files to the sdcard(which is empty by the way, everything is going to the local ram for some reason) and rebooted into recovery and then it showed up in CWR!
So all this time my tablet has been syncing my google music beta music for offline use, around 10 gigs of it, and it dumped it all on the local memory so now im almost out of ram.....with an empty sdcard.....great
I believed you guys are having this same problem...please see this thread about directory naming structure...etc

[Solved] Accidentally deleted files in Nook STR's boot partition

I rooted my Nook STR, but I accidentally deleted all the files in the Nook's own boot partition (/dev/block/mmcblk0p1). This is the partition labeled boot that is mounted when you boot with noogie.img from nookdevs.com/NookTouch_Rooting. Unfortunately, I didn't have a backup.
Now the nook doesn't boot except when booting from an sd card. I can actually boot into android by using the touchnooter sd card, and most things (launcher, apps, nook stock reader) work!
The only problem is the system doesn't recognize the external sd card as mounted, so some apps won't work. Also when I connect the nook to the pc via usb, the nook drive doesn't show up on my pc, so I can't side-load other books.
I'd still like to somehow repair my nook's boot partition. I can't enter into factory recovery mode since the device can't boot on it's own.
1. Would it work if I copy other nook's files in their boot partition? Is any of the file specific to each nook? Can anyone provide their files for me to try?
I'm on firmware 1.0.1.
2. Would applying the latest firmware update 1.1.0 rebuild the boot files? I tried to manually apply the update, but after
putting the update.zip file in the /media folder, nothing happens. Besides waiting for the OTA update, is there anyway to force the update?

Edit: Solved by the solution ros87 provided!

Nook's Paritions
I have accidently wrote noogie.img on the usb "Nook" parition, and now nook displays a message "your nook encountered a problem that requires a system restart". I can boot on the SD Card and still have the original backups done in ClockWordMode.
Is there a way to recover this partition back.

Fixed by restoring earlier os version, then restoring the latest os versoin.
So I know this thread is really old...
Like I said this thread is two years old so I'm not expecting any miracles. But I accidentally deleted my user partition for my nook simple touch, and then subsequently trying to restore it lost the rest of the backup. Is there any way for me to get a copy of a backup to fix this?

Fryo I800 installation help!

Ok So I am here because I've posted in other places in these forums with no replies yet, So it would be better to create a thread specific to my problem.
I have an Omnia 2, thinking of acquiring the Fryo 2.2 OS, not specific about wether I want what version but here are the problems I come across before being able to install it.
1- plugging in my phone under Settings -> My storage will not show my storage on my computer, having the external SD option will show my 16GB SD card.
2- Backing up. How do I back up my storage if I can't see it on my computer? When I turn on active sync a blank storage appears other than my SD card (assuming its the internal storage) but the size seems rather small (167MB). I've been reading peoples' posts and I'm supposed to have around 2GB I believe, and either way the files I'm trying to put inside for the android OS don't seem to fit there.
3- Partitions? How can I set those up for both the internal and external storage? Is there a program or feature to do so? My SD card under properties says FAT-32 so I'm not sure on how to do it IF I need to.
4- Using a W7 computer, so that knocks off any ubuntu installations, and also link is broken for Almars Beta 1 file that I was thinking of using for an SD installation.
Any help would be appreciated, I've had this phone since 2009 and I'm really hoping I can come across some help to make it work since I do want to keep this phone for a bit longer before I spend more money on a different cellphone!
Thank you!
Try out the new CyanogenMod from the link below.
http://windows.modaco.com/topic/346446-cyanogenmod-beta1-omnia-2-updated-02122011/
It has the SD Card auto installer, try it..
Back up data on your SD card first and then format your SD card within the phone and then use auto installer to install it.
As you said your computer wont detect the My Storage, try the steps below..
Transfer your data from My Storage to external SD Card, then connect your phone to computer using My Storage mode in settings.
Download Mini Tool partition wizard and format your My Storage (Mini tool partition will be able to see your My Storage even though your computer doesn't).
After format, your computer should be able to detect My Storage.
Now copy the downloaded android files to My Storage and run the auto installer as instructed in the ReadMe file inside the download package.
PS: Don't forget to backup the data on SD Card to your computer
Hope this helps
Ok so what you meant by taking things from my storage is going to file explorer and basically copying everything from the "my device" to the SD card?
Just want to make sure because if it doesent work then I haven't gotten anything backed up right.
Went to file explorer -> copied everything in the top folder which is application date, connMgr, doc and setttings, program files etc. is this all thats needed basically?
Thanks
P.S some of the things I tried taking like global.txt or exe couldn't be copied because of violations or some weird error, is it alright not to have those?
Update: My storage is still not revealed by the mini tool partition program, went under usb settings -> my storage and refreshed disk information, nothing shows up ugh it might be impossible for me to do this after all....
nobody can help me in regards to this? well then I guess a new cellphone is in order
grrrrr I should've gone with a iphone 3G or BB 9700 at the time instead...

I guess you will have to reflash the ROM again since your problem seems to be unsolvable. My suggestions is to flash a stock 6.5.3 ROM before you transfer the auto SD installer.

[Q] Nook STG Partitions messed up and can't mount internal SD

I need help sorting out how to fix my Nook.
It will boot but the SD in Device info is greyed out.
When I attach to a Windows machine two empty drives show up but are non accessible.
I just want to get to stock on 1.2.1 and see my Internal SD.
I've searched the forums but can't find anything that works.
Anyone?
Can anyone help with getting this Nook updated to 1.2.1 in another method besides using the internal storage?
Normally I just copy the update zip to the Nook folder and let the device go to sleep, but I can't access that folder on Windows.
