I wish they would release it already.
My mom somehow managed to corrupt her Google Pixel somehow (I've really no bloody Idea) and I need to be able to Flash the stock firmware on it.
I've tried to do a hard reset from recover mode but it just gives me a no command error.

Yes, but I fixed it. Didn't know about holding the power button and vol up after getting into the recovery area. It's odd how booting into recovery doesn't automatically put you into the recovery options, but instead gives you the Android error logo and says no command.
But still, it will be nice once a method for unlocking the vzw is released that way we can fiddle with custom Roms, Recovery's etc.

Lol only other possible explanation is that someone from the store messed around with it.

We'll I was hoping to get a dev to look at the system dump and see what they find.
It's probably some app you have installed. Don't panic. Restart the phone 5 or 6 times and see if it still appears..if it does it may just be an app messing with it. Definitely nothing to worry about unless it just annoys you.

Activating a rooted g2

Is it possible to activate a rooted g2? If so, does it need to be on a stock based ROM?

You mean bypassing the activation screen ?
Volume Up, Volume Down, Back Back with sim card out
or
Vol Up, Vol Down, Back, Home
If you mean actually activating it with Sprint only works if ur ESN is clean I think.
Makes me wonder if you can use a Sprint on T-mobile.

Yea, I meant actually activating it with sprint.
So if the phone is rooted, does it mean it has bad ESN?
What I'm trying to do is give my phone to my wife and didn't want to re-root.

No rooted does not mean it has a BAD esn.
Just means someone decided to do custom Roms Apps and so on.
BAD ESN happen when contract hasn't been 2 years.
Phone was stolen. Not eligible to upgrade etc etc all the things that would happen if the phone isn't paid for in full.
If it was urs, ur contract is fine and she is on the same plan as urs aka family plan.
Go to sprint Store and they should be able to swap numbers.
If you got the phone somewhere, AND it may have been stolen it will be harder to hook it up and that kind of topic is frowned upon on here.
If you word things towards the negative that is.
Hope this helps.
OK thanks.
We are both on individual sprint sero plans so shouldn't be a problem as far as that goes.
I was just afraid sprint would have a problem activating a device that has an aosp rom instead of stock.

Do you think TWRP from LG G4 would work?

Possibly, but I wouldn't try it. If you're familiar with compiling and Linux, they have a guide on how to port it to your device. It does sound like there's a mass amount of devices from Moto maker coming in today though so I bet we'll have something very soon.
Assuming you flashed it and it was wrong, wouldn't it just not boot to recovery? And once we have a proper TWRP, just replace it with that.
I wouldn't be brave enough to do it but I it doesn't seem like it would cause a hard brick. Don't take my word for it. Do it at your own risk.
Sent from my VS986 using Tapatalk
I think I would wait just a little while longer for a tested TWRP to come out. Why take a chance on a possible brick?

Purchasing used Note 4 Developer Edition

I just purchased a used DE Note 4. The baseband version is N910VVRU2BOF1. The guy said it was used on Verizon since this August, but he said he didn't accept any OTAs from Verizon. I haven't received it yet and he hadn't shipped it, but how would I be able to tell if the bootloader is unlocked before he ships it? I'm wanting to install TWRP and put MOROM on it as soon as I get it. I hope this isn't a stupid question, I've been out of the Android tweaking scene since last year so I'm a little rusty.

You will have to start the phone holding the power, home and volume down. When the menu appears, it should say mode: developer, with blue letters, if I'm not wrong. If you don't see developer anywhere in that menu, it's retail. Ask him to provide you with a photo of that screen.

Thanks for the reply! I've never owned a developer edition device before. Still running my MDK Galaxy S4, rooted with Phil's Touch Recovery. Nothing wrong with it at all, just wanted to get the last phone available from Samsung with an unlocked bootloader, removable battery, and expandable memory. Who knows how long I'll hang onto this (assuming the bootloader is unlocked). I guess I could attempt to send it in to Samsung for a reflash?

If the phone was originally a developer edition, you can send it to Samsung for a reflash, if necessary. There should be proof that the phone is actually a developer edition (receipt from the seller), or IMEI and model number which should be SMN910VMKE. If the phone is still in warranty, they will most likely reflash it for free.

Good luck, I hope it is as described.
I had a similar experience, but the phone had a hardware defect, which was really questionable, however the seller had proof of purchase and the phone was in warranty.
Then, it took Samsung a month to fix the problem. First, they fixed the hardware issue by replacing the motherboard, screen, etc, but they flashed the retail software and it came locked. I had to call them second time and speak with someone from the repair center and explain clearly and repeatedly that the bootloader should be unlocked as it's a developer edition.
After a long month and 2 trips, it's running great, how all the Note 4 should run, no ads, tethering, etc.

Yep, 2 lines on unlimited that's why I wanted a developer phone, so I can use tethering if needed. Both Note 4 and S4 seem to get very good reception.

Same here, I need it to be reliable, I just couldn't put up with the random errors in Morom. Let me know if you get it to work. I tried reading through the thread, a lot of people complain about them, not sure about the fix.
Feature wise, I liked Morom.

Bounty verizon note 7 root

I'd like to officially kick off the bounty for rooting the verizon note 7. I'm certainly no pro at this stuff which is why I come to you guys for the knowledge I'm always seeking. That being said I'm not even sure how to go about donating to said bounty fund. If someone smarter than myself would like to setup said fund I'll happily throw a good chunk of cash in there for the cause. Thanks in advance.
I will contribute as well. Thanks @solos420 for getting this started.

Verizon and AT&T phones have been nearly identical in recent years. Both are usually more locked down than T-Mobile (for example). Starting with the S7 and S7edge and now with the Note 7, almost all firmware can be universally flashed. Verizon is the best platform as they are already Sim-unlocked.
Interesting! You said your running the ATT firmware didn't you? So your rom is basically the att version?

It will. The system file is what you keep from the Sprint rom.. The nice thing is that the rom is a pre-carrier release so basically before Sprint got their hands on it to add their own bloatware.
You essentially perform the Sprint root guide but right before rooting via adb, you flash the CP, BL, and CSC from the Verizon firmware.
