How do you remove a knock knock code? - LG V20 Questions & Answers

I have added a few fingerprints for security and for backup I mistakenly used the knock knock code. I'm not familiar with them as I came from Samsung. Does anyone know of how I can remove the knock knock code without doing a factory restore. I am willing to reprogram the fingerprints but can't seem to figure out how to remove the knock knock code. Any help would be appreciated thanks.

You may have to reset the device

Screen Lock Code - Reduce 4 (long) Numbers to 1?

I have recently set lock code, but it requires 4 numbers at minimum, but I would like to use only one or two because it takes too much time to enter four.
Any tips are more than welcome!
I usually don't do this, but I would need this function really badly. If anyone can do this, I am also prepared to pay.
Why don't you better disable the PIN lock?
Setting to 1 number(which is not possible) would be too easy to guess (if you are concerned about security). If you are not, just disable it at Start > Settings > Lock and use the simple slide to unlock.
Well, I don't want disable PIN lock for a reason, because I don't want people to have access to it while I am away.
But then again, when you need phone badly, entering 4 digi numbers is annoying, so I would set only two numbers.
This would be time saver and I doubt they would guess it, even if I would set only one.

you must be joking right? it would only take a maximum of 10 guesses to get into your device if your code is one digit.

In theory, maybe. But I am talking about people I know, and again it's a screen lock code, not main PIN.
Hard to get my point right?

Only if they know your pin is only one digit...
I have a lock applied through my Exchange Server connection and use a one character pin for exactly the same reason as the OP - I realise it's not military grade security but it is a deterrent.
I know PocketShield beta 3.3 has a new PIN lock screen, don't know which is the minimun PIN lenght but you can give it a try...

PayPal fingerprint problem

I have 3 fingers registered in settings that i use for screenlock. Every time i sign into PayPal, a notification shows up saying "enable a faster login by linking a fingerprint with PayPal, when I click that I need to sign in to my account and then swipe my finger, so I do that but then I always get this

But when i actually swipe my finger that little green orb says recognized but PayPal says unable to recognize...
How can i fix that?

Are you rooted? If so root breaks it.

Yes. And i guess that's why it's broken.

So silly, I rather enter my password than a silly fingerprint for pay pal
Silly? I think fingerprint and privacy mode are really premium features of this phone Brava27. Guess it's a matter of personal taste, not silly

I'm rooted and experienced that. I just registered my finger print again in paypal login settings and it worked.
unlock with one hand
has anyone managed to use the fingerprint unlock with just one hand?
seems pointless to have to use 2 hands :good::good:

Yes. Just register your finger print as you hold it in one hand and swipe your thumb sideways down the fingerprint reader. That's how I unlock my S5 after getting it out of my pocket..

Rooted phone isnt the problem.
PayPal fingerprint only works with Stock kernel (equal if rooted or unrooted)
Bloody hell... I have a custom kernel to be able to change selinux to permissive.

Mini apps

Hi guys, does anyone else have an issue with the "Mini Apps" function? It's the one where you swipe over the virtual keys and minimizes the screen for one hand operation.
It was working fine when I first got the phone but now it doesn't work anymore even with the option turned on and after reboot.
Am I the only one or is this a bug?

I had issues too at first, but with lots of research, I finally found the solution. To to settings>Accessibility and make sure that Switch Access is turned off.

As far as I can tell, Switch Access doesn't do anything important, so you won't lose any other features.

Thanks man, printed it out to scale with my screen but didn't work sadly. Pretty sure the touchscreen is gone as well as the display. Sucks but whatever I use my phone too much anyway I can take a break for a few days until my replacement arrives. Have a good one.
Thanks again.
