trouble with the internal storage at the leeco le pro 3, should be 64 Gb for usage - LeEco Le Pro3 Questions & Answers

Hello , I got the nice Leeco pro 3 today.
I found one problem with the internal storage.
There should be a size of the storage of 64 GB (formatted 59,59) like indicated in the storage screen (system settings).
you see too :USED 52,46 Gb and Available 7,14 GB
The CPU -Z app shoes a value of 9,71 Gb for the internal storage.
Connected to a Win10 PC there is also (only) a phonestorage size of 9,7 GB indicated.
The smartphone has the original ROM (China and Engl. ) from the factory .
No indication by using the file manager for big dat_files or apps inside the storage!
Have somebody a solution to solve that problem.
thanks , Bernd

As you see my free space is 44.74GB. I don't know why you have these problems.

Since you got the phone from China, chances are they might have installed a custom ROM for international sales. You can do a full reset and see if it will clear the memory off.
For my 32GB LG G3, it shows a usable space of 25.12GB. The total storage will be partitioned for system and data so I won't be too worried.

do a factory reset first. all the 'international version' from China, are custom rom which does not support OTA, you have to wait either someone to develop a new version of such rom, or waiting for the factory's official rom ( mostly Chinese and English only), then doing update. after that try to either root or something else to remove those chinese apps. currently , if you want 6G RAM, 64 G storage, dual sim model, the only way is to get 'international version'. Since outside China, LeEco's official Pro3 is US version (4G RAM, and single sim). LeEco has not been officially marketing this phone outside of China (beside US) yet. I hope the dual sim version will eventually land in country like India , and some others as well.

Unfortunately, the internal storage is again low. About only Available 8.42 GB.
At the sreen above I see Used 51,18 GB

I had the same issue. I purchased mines off of Algera, a chinese website. It's the rom that's installed on it. Just resetting won't change the amount that's available; you have to FORMAT the data, then flash an entirely different rom.
STEPS (has since been edited):
You need the bootloader unlocked with TWRP installed (and ADB used to do that).
1) Download the stock rom from Leeco's website to your laptop to replace the old one. http://bbs.le.com//zt/eui/le_pro3.html
2) Have a usb ready to connect your laptop to your phone.
3) Boot into TWRP.
4) Go to WIPE on the start screen. Once there, FORMAT the data; dont just wipe the partition or do a factory reset. You want to completely remove the rom.
5) Connect your phone to your laptop.
6) Click on the phone's folder on your laptop. If your phone doesn't show up, you have to use ADB and sideload the rom.
7) Copy the rom that you downloaded during step 1 to your phone.
8) Go to INSTALL on the TWRP start screen. Just press the home button to get there.
9) Go to the folder /sdcard. The rom will be in there.
10) Flash the rom.
11) reboot.
12) profit.
But be warned: Do not restart your phone with no rom on it!!!!
Good luck.

this way work? I have the same problem and I don't know how to deal with this

Nobody explained, why 64 GB is not 64 but lower. It's because sellers use global measure, witch have trouble. IT works on binary world (0-1). Look there;
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kilobyte
Sellers convert Bits decimal, but true measure is in binary. SI's fail. So, if you have 64 GB, you should do convert from GB to B ( *1000^3 ) then from B to GiB ( /1024^3).
For 64 GB, true is 59,60464... and every other part like SSD, HDD, RAM ect is lied like this.

You have to unlock the bootloader and flash twrp first. You are doing a complete wipe of the system.

I unlock the bootloader and I flash twrp and I wipe everything in options and install new rom with sideloade but I still have 52 GB storage in used.

Format the data then do a full wipe. Try that.

Colleagues!
* A similar problem, but after all wipes, I have the internal memory 48,66GB. Nothing else helps. I see that about 5.5gb reserved for temporary storage.
I did all the steps and the result is still 50GB. I did format the data then do a full wipe. No result

FORMAT the data twice and flash the OFFICIAL stock rom from the Leeco website; you may have to use ADB to sideload the rom once you format.
Your phone wont be able to boot because there wont be a rom on it. Thats why you have to flash one.
When you do that, there should be about 53 GB of free space.
You will never have a full 64GB available. It starts off with 64GB available but thats unformatted. You need to format to be able to use it. After formating the data, there will be about 59GB left. Once you flash the rom, it will reduce it to about 53GB.
You're goal isn't 64GB to start, it's the low 50s.

Look.
First I installed TWRP. Then the format of the date and full wipe. Restart in recovery. I did format date again. Flash stock recovery. Then flash LE_ZL1_LEX720-CN-5.8.017S (renamed update.zip) in stock recovery. The available internal memory is just 50GB. What am I doing wrong?

You arent doing nothing wrong! That is the amount of space you should have left.

Then why is usually about 54gb free space internal memory of users? Sometimes 52gb, but it's better than 49.6gb like in my phone.

Another solution:
1- unlock your bootloader
2- flash twrp
3- go to wipe
4- select format data option
5- type "yes"
6- go back and ask twrp to reboot in recovery again
7- now plug your le pro to PC and copy your ROM to twrp folder (the only one after format)
9- install your ROM
That's it.
If you can't copy because your PC doesn't recognize, search for "adb sideload" and "adb push ROMname.zip"

[ROM] Dual Rom V1.2 | 2.2CM/AOSP 2.1 Sense in one.... [11/19/2010]

Dual Rom by TEAM ADX
Who is Team ADX....a few of us here on xda have been working on some projects together including this one. Workshed, Conap, and Gnarlyc.
What is Dual Rom....Dual Rom is the first rom on the eris that will install a 2.1 Sense based rom on your phone and at the same time it will install a 2.2 CM/AOSP mix rom onto your sd card. You will then be able to boot back and forth between the two rom by using pre-written scripts in gscipt app. No need to go into recovery.
EDIT: As of V1.2 We've changed it up a little. Both roms are half on phone and half on sd. We found this to be more stable with easier updates and a quicker install time. It also gave us the speed boost we saw with the sd rom on both roms.
What are the requirements....You will not need any special recovery's or need to make any changes to the phone. You will need to partition your sd card. Instructions for partitioning sd card are below.
Credit other then ADX team members:
unCoRrUpTeD from the cdma hero forums for all the work here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=803302
Jcase for his stock sense build
CyanogenMod for the ton of work they have done to make Android better for everyone
TO PARTITION SD CARD:
NOTE THAT THIS WILL ERASE ALL CONTENTS OF YOUR SD CARD. PLEASE BACKUP YOUR SD CARD FILES.
Plug phone into pc and reboot phone into recovery. Open a command prompt or terminal and copy/paste the following commands:
adb shell
parted /dev/block/mmcblk0
rm 1
rm 2
rm 3
rm 4 (these are removing your partitions. if you only have 1 partition it will just give you an error after deleting the first one. Just ignore these errors)
mkpartfs primary fat32 0 3500 (can be adjusted to your needs. This partition will be used by the 2.1 rom and by recovery)
mkpartfs primary ext2 3501 3750 (this will be the data partition for the 2.2 rom. You can make it bigger or smaller depending on the number of apps you use. Make it no smaller then 200mb)
mkpartfs primary ext2 3751 4100 (this will be the data partition used by the 2.1 rom. You can make it bigger or smaller depending on the number of apps you use. Make it no smaller then 200mb)
mkpart extended 4101 7948 (this is needed because you can only make 4 primary partitions and we need 5 so we make an extended partition that will allow us to make 2 more partitoins inside of the extended partition)
mkpartfs logical ext2 4101 4150 (this is the cache partition for the sd rom)
mkpartfs logical fat32 4151 7948 (this will be used by the sd rom which is the 2.2 rom. You can make first partition larger and this one smaller or vice versa depending on which rom you may need more space for)
Your card should now be partitioned.
Once your sd card is partitioned correctly you can install Dual Rom. Download the zip file from the link below and put it on your sd card. Flash it like you would any other rom. The install takes about 3 times as long as a regular rom flash. The phone will reboot itself one time between installing the roms. This is normal behavior. It will automatically start the second part of the install after the phone reboots itself. Once Dual Rom is done installing reboot your phone as normal. It will boot into the 2.1 Sense Rom. Do the normal setups. Once 2.1 is set up then you will want to open gscripts, hit menu/add script. On the add script page chose load file. A list will pop up with some available scripts. For 2.1 rom you will only need to add the BootToSd script. Choose that and save it. Now in gscripts you can choose the BootToSd and it will automatically reboot your phone into the 2.2 rom. You will only have to load the BootToSd script once. In the future you will just open gscripts and choose boottosd to switch roms.
After running the boottosd script in gscripts your phone will boot into the 2.2 rom. It will take a little longer then normal for this rom on it's first boot to load since it's on the sd card. When it loads go through the setup like a normal rom. You may have a few messages pop up about things being unresponsive. Do NOT force close these. Choose the wait option. This rom will be laggy when doing the initial setup and very laggy while reinstalling all your apps. Be patient during this part. 2.2 runs pretty good on sd once it's all loaded up. Give it a while to get going. I actually hit a quadrant score of 615 with 2.2 on sd. Once 2.2 is done with setup and all apps are redownloaded you can open gscript. Again choose menu/add script. From there choose load file. You will want to add the boottophone script and the mountsd and unmountsd scripts. I think you probably know what these scripts do. BootToPhone will boot back to the 2.1 rom. Use the mountsd and unmountsd scripts to mount your sd card if you are using windows. If using linux the normal mount sd procedures should work fine.
If for some reason you can not boot into one rom or another there will also be zip files on your card that you can flash from recovery that will boot the rom that you want. We attempted to make this process as simple and user friendly as possible.

Neither roms should really have any major bugs. Unfortunatley there is no way currently to Nand Backup the rom on the sd card. We will work on a solution to that. Hope you all enjoy!!!
NOTE: If using clockwork you need to flash package2.zip after flashing dualrom
Please wipe data and dalvik before flashing.

<<<CHANGE LOG>>>
DualRom v1.2
Moved both roms so that half of each rom is on phone and half is on sd card. The 2.2 rom system files are installed on the system partition of phone and uses the second partition of the sdcard as the data partition. The 2.1 rom now installs the system files on to the data partition of the phone and uses the 3rd partition of sdcard for data. This gives us many advantages including future no-wipe updates, quicker install, speed bonus for both roms, unlimited app space for either rom by making the data partitions of sdcard bigger so no apps2sd are needed, more stability from the roms.
Removed some bloat apps from 2.1 rom such as amazonmp3 and some stock apps.
updated the shedfroyo to v5 (ChangeLog Here)
updated kernel to Decafuct CFSv8 with loop support, speed increases, better memory management, new "smartass" governor. (upgraded for both roms)
Added some flashable zips that will be pushed to your sdcard during install that will allow you to wipe data or dalvik for either rom.(Please use the zips. Wipeing Data or Dalvik-cache the normal way in recovery will not remove the right files and will mess up and you will need to reinstall. Zips are named so you will know what they do.)
DualRom v1.1...
Added new superuser
Added Gscript lite to the 2.2 rom on sdcard
Removed Gscript from 2.1 rom, gscript lite is still there
Added correct bootanimation
Install as you would a normal rom. You can do the normal wipes in recovery then flash the rom zip from your sd card. Installation should not take near as long as it did for the last version. Your phone will still reboot once inbetween installing the 2 roms.
Download Dual Rom v1.2
Download Dual Rom v1.1
Here are zips to flash in recovery to wipe data or dalvik-cache for the sd rom. You can wipe the phone rom like you do a normal rom..
(These are already included in v1.2)
WipeDalvik-Cache
WipeData
New superuser if anyone still needs it, included in v1.1 - SuperuserUpdate

currently, no. you'll definitely want to backup your nandroid folder before you partition the sdcard. That way if you want to go back to something you had a nand for, you can just repartition with one big fat32, throw the nandroid folder back on the sdcard and nand restore away
We'll be working on getting that straight in the next releases, we just wanted to get this out to all of you to try.

If you flash a different ROM (not DualROM), you can still Nandroid it.
while the card is partitioned this way can we flash different roms or are we just on dual rom till we unpartition?
So with the multiple filesystems, will you have more than one set of apps (more than one /system/app and /data/app)? If not, then what will the 2.1 ROM do with apps meant for 2.2?

NEXT - SELECT APPROPRIATE USER TYPE:-
LINUX USERS:
Just follow this link > http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=24799755&postcount=65
WINDOWS USERS:
first.. get this... http://www.alexpage.de/usb-image-tool/
make sure it is USB Image Tool 1.59 when you download...
next get gparted-live-0.13.1-2.iso
burn it to the CD...
- after you have extracted the usb image tool... open USB Image Tool.exe
- select the corresponding usb drive and click backup, save it something like streakinternal.img
- it will take some time to complete ( have instant noodle for the time being )
- once done... replace the sd card that you want to transfer the image to and click restore and select the earlier streakinternal.img
- again.. it will take some time to complete (you can have snack this time )
note: make sure the target sdcard is the same or bigger in size (obviously)...
- once completed...
- reboot your pc and insert the burned CD earlier... let it boot from it... just press enter to everything it ask until it fully loaded into linux environment
- gparted should already show your sdcard drive there... it should show /dev/sda1 and below it got two more partition /dev/sda5 (ext3) and /dev/sda6 (ext3)
- select /dev/sda1 and right click it and select move/resize
- there should be visual displaying the drive structure and on the right, there should be arrow, drag it to the most right, click ok
- now, select /dev/sda6 and right click it and select move/resize
- again, on it, there should be arrow on the right, drag it to the most right and click ok
- once all that done, click apply and it will start to do its work..
- let it completes it work and your sd card now should be able to be use as internal sd...
- your streak should be able to boot straight away.. no need to wipe cache or something like that...
- have fun having big internal sd

POSSIBLE FAQ:
-- 01 --
Q - Will the method used gone if i do factory reset?
A - Nope. You can safely do it and the structure will be maintained.
-- 02 --
Q - Can i use more than 16gb card?
A - Theoretically, yes.
-- 03 --
Q - Can we use this as sd storage as well?
A - Sorry. We cant because it is formated in ext3, so windows see it as unformatted medium.
-- 04 --
Q - Cant we create shortcut in external sd to access it?
A - Sorry. We cant because symlink does not work on any windows formatted medium since external sd usually formatted in fat32
-- 05 --
Q - Cant we mount this at all?
A - Somebody has tried it before but since the internal sd never meant to be accessed externally, the support is pretty much impossible.
-- 06 --
Q - How can we access it and where is it located?
A - To access the space, you can use root explorer and wifi file explorer (anything similar will do) and it is located at /data from /
Therefore, you must be rooted to access it.
-- 07 --
Q - So, what the hell am i supposed to do with those huge extra GBs?
A - Well, you can brag bout it to your friends, saying it got this huge internal sd space and can install hundreds of applications or games and still got space left for more.

MORE ADVANCED MODS.:
If you think having large innerSD is not enough, we could have larger /system dir and possible dual usb mount support by default (in the near future hopefully) for our streak 5.

Does the benefit come from the class of the sd card or the size? or is it the format (ext3vs4 or some such thing)?

class for sd card means speed... so the higher the better..
Speed class determines it's actual read and write speed, FS is important as ext4 is the most efficient fs currently available.
It's supposed to be a good deal faster then yaffs2 and more efficient then ext3

i go on and make it ext4 both for cache and data for the internal sd.. boots up normally and yes... you can see something faster...
its a shame that the CWM 6 not supported ext4 and therefore nandroid backup is impossible for now...
i also tried and make both internal and external sd not in the slot... and see if streak manages to boot up or not.. well... it stuck at dell logo.. lol
so internal sd is a must so that phone can boot due to the needs of use cache and data dir...
I can easily make a build that supports it, it's just that the rom must also support it.
The rom could likely be modified to mount /firstboot as /data, but there's not enough partitions to also have /cache on the nand.

well i am using longhorn 2.9.3...
CWM 6 cant read ext4 because how the script work? i really thought it could since it is newer and i know streakmod had issues with ext4...
but when i am thinking back.. it seems it have same baseworks...
It's turned off on the normal S5 build as ext4 requires additional modules, as it normally doesnt use ext4 I simply built it with them off.
I dont recall of CWM 1.8/2.5 (which streakmod is based off of) even supports ext4, the earliest one I can confirm it does is 4.0 as that was the 1st version built against the stock GB recovery. GB was the 1st rom that uses ext4 by default (on devices that launched with GB or newer)

Can we have a third partition on the inner sdcard??? To use as external storage. If so can you help/guide how to!

I havnt actually tried it (but I plan to some day in the future): just manually make the partitions and add an extra one onto the end for /system.
At that point: unless you follow a standardized layout, you're going to need to manually build CWM as CWM needs to know ahead of time the layout and size of the partitions it's going to deal with. If it doesnt it could lead to corrupt filesystems on flashes/nandroids.
If I ever do build it, it'll either be for a 8 or 16 gb card with a defined set of partitions.
You'll also need to modify the rom to actually boot from innerSDx too.

although i really welcome additional 3rd partition.. dont it have issues with mounting? because how streak works and meant to be, it never have one such as sd-ext ... i mean... some have tried to make it appear on windows but failed miserably.. and thus gave up on it.. and since the fs is ext type, we do need to install driver for it such as Ext2Fsd to make it able to read and write on windows... also.. for media file, it may not detect it unless we explicitly want the third partition to be used only for storage .... but if we can make it able to detect media.. that would be even better...
currently that work wonder is by using wifi file browser for now... for storing file inside /data
sd-ext is/was rather redundant as the S5 has a very large (for it's time) /data.
If anything you'd be better off making a large partition to mount as /sdcard and chainmount the real sdcard as /sdcard/sdcard2 or just /sdcard2 on ICS.
I have no idea how easy/hard all this is, I havnt tried any of it.
It really depends on if the kernal can detect additional partitions beyond innerSD0p6
I've bugged n0p about adding MTP into the ICS kernal so you can simply have a very large /data + /data/media, but he's not interested.
(though like it sounds, it only works on ICS or newer, it was introduced in HC 3.2, but we dont have a rom for that)

thats what i have been trying to do this past weeks.. making it /sdcard and chainmount the real sdcard as /sdcard/sdcard2 but to no avail... as it has no real solution to it...
mtp support is a huge leap since many says it has better file handling protocol but if its get added to ics that we have here.. wow.. that one is a huge plus for us.. :good:
have you edited your vold.fstab?
You need to edit that and change the mounts in your ramdisk at the minimum to do so

[Q] Low internal storage: MIUI (2.3.7)

I flashed my HD2 with MIUI 2.3.7 some time ago, but now I'm constantly getting low internal storage errors. One thing I didn't do when I flashed this ROM was repartition the SD card (and I think this ROM has A2SD built in?). So I know that might probably help getting rid of the errors.
But when I checked the phone's internal memory, I saw "200 MB used - 18 MB free". So that's a total of 218MB internal memory? I'm pretty sure I'm missing at least 200Mb there.
I have another HD2 here (running AmeriCanAndroid from SD) so I checked its internal memory under "About Phone". On the HD2 with ACA, it says it has a total of 411MB internal memory. On the HD2 with MIUI, it says it has a total internal memory of 217MB. So where's the missing 194MB?
I read somewhere that the phone probably has a wrong "ClockworkMod Recovery partition layout" and that for MIUI, it needs a "150MB Partition Layout". The article didn't actually explain what those things are or how to set it up.
So, is that indeed what's going on here (any way to check)? And if so, how can I change my phone to this "150MB Partition Layout?"
Thanks in advance.
Like I said, it was quite a while ago when I flashed this ROM so I can't remember what I did when I did. But looking at my HD2 folder on my PC, I probably *did* use a 150MB ClockWorkMod recovery partition size. Also, I *did* create a 1GB ext partition on my SD Card for A2SD.
So why am I getting the "low internal storage" errors?
Many possibilities, could be the ext partition not being recognized, not in proper format...
The script may not be working (?). And you're never going to get the whole 512MB of your ROM. I think it's maximum 400, give or take. so about 400 - 150 you're left with about 250 .. I don't know where that 50 went (maybe it is not actually 400? or maybe you set a slightly larger partition).
I also never believed in a2sd, always datatoext. Your best bet is to back up your apps using titanium (or similar apps), check the partitions, and reflash ROM + a different script; that is because you can't flash a script while having been used the rom. (or you can try your luck).
dat english.
I second that, app2sd is not reliable to get more memory available.
Lack of internal storage is due to a incorrect system partition. It has nothing to do with your ext4 partition, since you're not running NativeSD.
DataOnEXT is your best option. Backup your app data and flash a ROM from start with DataOnExt option.
Be sure to make your system size large enough.
Create an ext4 partition on your sd of 1 to 2 GB for app storage.

You should use Cronmod http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1716124 INT2EXT+ is recommended
Flash your rom on nand (without dataonext) then flash Cronmod(you must have ext4 partition, 1gb is good)
On clk 1.5 you can easily change partition sizes without computer

Yes, it is. But the script you're using is useless. Use DataOnExt instead.
WARNING: You need to do a fresh install, so make a backup beforehand.
I tried DataOnExt and I can't get it to work. It keeps giving me force close errors on almost every app/widget and when I reboot my phone, all my widgets loose their settings.

Try a different ROM, and increase your /system size to 285MB or 300-350MB if you have badblocks.

I second this, NativeSD can be great.
The only few cons I know of, is that NAND is a tad bit more responsive (even with highclass SD cards), battery life is shorter than if you only were to use NAND and your SD card will wear out quicker.
Other than that, it's basically superious to NAND.

[HELP][Half-Solved!] No Internal Memory.

Sup!
The problem is, that after i install ROMs via NAND+ext i cannot simply use it, because after rebooting it shows htc logo and then screen goes black.
I used only NAND roms before, because my sd card always failed to create an EXT partition on it.
But idk why, few days ago i noticed that while wiping, it didn't skip EXT partition like always, so i created one via TWRP recovery and tried to install some roms on ext.
I've done several full-wipes etc, but always it succeeds with installation, and then it goes black screen on rebooting.
What can be the problem? I thought it might be boot.img-related, but same thing occurs in 2nd rom i try to install.
I don't want to go back to old NAND rom, so if you guys could help me out, i would be really happy.
I spent several hours looking for a solution, but no positive results..
Also, i had a problem in trying to reanimate my phone via Fastboot/ADB; simply because i don't know how to proceed from bootloader to fastboot to get my phone connected with pc commands...
I tried to flash this and that ROMs.
Regards!
you could try;
changing recovery (eg 4ext), i always seem to have trouble with twrp flashing sboot, 4ext works ok
increase sboot or boot size
format ext4 with 4ext recovery
not used fastboot much, there is a tutorial here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2277112
hope this helps
if not post your setup, partition sizes etc.
Thanks for reply Robbie!
Firstly, i cannot find 4EXT recovery to flash it straight from PC :/ Any other recommended recovery's?
Secondly, not sure if i understand sboot and boot resizing correctly.
Also, when i flash TWRP for example, in config file when i change system ya[/B ] to 280mb is it enough? I mean, when i change size via HD2Toolkit, it automatically applies CWM...

flash it using existing recovery
in later versions of clk you can easily resize your partitions, sometimes increasing boot partition may solve booting problems.
eg black lk from here http://www.mediafire.com/download/n0aa6qv88t3n1sv/black_lk_20130506-Ex-TWRP_2_5_0_5.zip
extract it, browse to leoimg.nbh using hd2 toolkit "install custom NBH/NB RUU" and install.
Then flash 4ext using the included recovery.
Profit?

I flashed 4EXT, althought i had strange code message after flashing it:

All done.

Partition details updated
Anyway, it seems to load w/o problems
Whats my point... i noticed, that i have ext2 partition on my phone, not ext4.
Can it cause black screen problem?
What to do now?
(So many questions..)

i used built-in partitioning to get EXT4 partition, then installed tytung's rom again, ofc succeed etc.
But after reboot i see htc logo for 1 sec, then black screen ... sigh

remember, if using nand with data on ext, you can afford a huge 350mb system partition or more since your data (apps and stuff) is on your ext4 sdcard partition.

edit2:
htc logo for about 5 minutes already
EDIT3:
i fully wiped phone, reflashed rom and gapps, it booted (waited like 15min though), but i have some strange problems with going through setup wizard again.
Mainly it stops working after few minutes, and it launches again and again. Sometimes i make till wifi/gmail sync, but for example it keeps obtaining wifi for like minute, in meanwhile Calendar Memore stops working... then it freezes, stops working, and from beginning...Once i made it through Google GPS localization.
The ****...?
Okay, after wipe and reflash, i faced same situation, but not sure why, Setup Wizard after 10 minutes of struggling allowed me to finish setup :highfive:
I still received "Calendar Storage has stopped working" every 10 seconds, so i cleared cashe of it in settings, seems to be solved.
Now, the only issues i face are:
- my phone shows me no internal storage at all...
In settings > apps, Internal storage bar is all grey without any numbers, also i cannot even update Nova Launcher because of insufficient space.
It would be quite sad to have my phone finally working, but with no storage to install basic apps like facebook, etc
-as i want to reboot my phone, it popped Setup Wizard again... WHAT THE!
Please help me with these problems...!
EDIT:
i googled ''a bit'', and tried to copy busybox from /system/xbin to /system/bin, but i see no positive results..
Problem has changed.
Another update, but now quite positive.
After reflashing Slimrom and tytung's one over n over, i tried to flash tytung's 4.2.2, well, it succeeded.
Now i have 1,2gb of internal free memory, and it all seem to work flawlessly.
No idea why previous 2 roms didnt work 100%'ly :/
I think i won't do anything now, i am happy to have 4.2.2 features now, after 1 years of being stuck with 4.1.2
Anyways, big thanks for you Robbie. You are my life-saver once again!!!
Have a good night y'all, yawn
###EDIT###
Rom runs smoothly, i have 1,2Gb of internal memory, but my Google Play tells me "No connection. Retry" everytime i open it

it sounds like your ext4 partition (/data) is not being recognised.
Since you have to reflash, try deleting all partitions and format whole card with official formatter, then set up your ext4 partition again, use recovery to format it.
Try install again.
What is your sd card make, and class?

[Q] 8gb Internal Memory became 4gb After Flashing CM12.1

After flashing CM12.1 my internal storage only shows 4gb of total space. The phone originally came with 8gb of internal storage, and is just after I did this that it was reduced. I did clean up all the Dalvik cache, I also tried doing a new factory reset, but still it's showing only 4gb. Is this normal?
Anyone?..
4.5gb /data
2gb /system
boot, recovery, /cache ... etc. the rest gbs
and that's 8gb distributed on all the partitions needed for any android system to work.
samsung in a way is trying to make you think that you can use the hole 8 gb, but you cant because the system needs half of that

After flashing CM12.1 my internal storage only shows 4gb of total space. The phone originally came with 8gb of internal storage, and is just after I did this that it was reduced. My phone used to have 8gb before flashing now it has 4gb. Please note that it includes 2.5gb which is for system data and the rest is for use. Is this normal? And what can be done to rectify this?

1. Install OrageFox recovery (Not tried this on TWRP)
installation link: https://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-j5/development/official-orangefox-recovery-project-t3941742
2. On OrangeFox recovery=> Menu=> Manage Partitions
3. Then do Resize FS for Data and System
Thats all
