LOL i was about to say. Go to Tmobile now and tell them so that they can give you a new one. Because despite i have 35 apps up and running, and i have done a lot today, my phone gets charged in about 1 hour and 15 minutes (pretty decent if you ask me)

May I ask what is the Voltage and Ampere rating for the stock charger?

9.0v = 1.8; & 5.0v = 1.8a

I had the same thing happen to me the first time I plugged it in...
That said, I found my quick charge 2.0 charger charges it faster than the charger in the box, so I am thinking of buying an official 3.0 quick charger.

That stock charger doesn't look like it's variable voltage that qc3 requires

Hmm. That doesn't look like an actual Quick Charge 3.0 charger.
Oh well, I am prepared. I have two QC3.0 Chargers at home ready for the V20. Heh heh

I know. Im using my own charger with 5v and 2 amps. And it charges very fast with it. With the other it does charges fast. But not as fast as this one

The supplied charger is like a QC1.0 version, it's not even a QC2.0, it doesn't have the 12V, this is the same with the V10 and the G5 which is supplied with the same charger.

I wonder if anyone tried charging their V20 with a variable voltage and Ampere QC3.0 charger. I'll definitely try that when I get mine next month.

Charging with my 3rd party QC 2.0 Charger, it wasn't as fast as stock charger, but it was doable. I'll try my 3rd party QC 3 tomorrow and report back.

Theoretically speaking I charge the other battery in the spare battery charging dock. So when I swap the dead battery out it only takes 30 seconds or so to have a full charge on my phone. No more tethering my phone to the wall.

You're a smarter man than i, I couldn't think of just writing that. Its too early for me, yeah that's what I'll chalk it up to daaaaah to early lol Thanks bro.

I have an Anker QC 3.0 charger and last night, it charged my V20 from 6% to 100% in about 1 hour.

Measured at the wall, my OEM charger refused to charge over 2.7 WATTS - 2 point 7 - when the battery was at 15%... what the eff? Not that I care, because the charger is junk anyway, but sheesh! Makes no sense...
Also, the charge current drastically drops any time the screen is on from what I am seeing, as pictured below.
Also what makes no sense, and 2 reviewers on Amazon commented the same issue, Anker's PowerPort +1 Type C QC 3.0 charger doesn't work with this phone. I couldn't get it to go over 12 watts with the screen off even though I tried 4 different cables (Anker, i-Orange, i-Rainy, OEM Pixel XL cable). Interestingly, the Pixel XL OEM charger peaked at 19.2 watts! Really interesting actually... don't know how it's doing it, since it's USB PD, but it does have the proper voltages. It's charging the phone pretty damn quick. Even at 68%, it's pulling 14 watts right now as I type.

[Q] Note 4 Car Charging?

Hey guys,
I just plugged my note 4 into my car charger (anker charger, oem note 4 cable) and couldn't get it to charge. It charges my note 3 no problem.
I also have no problems charging my note 4 with wall chargers.
Any help?
I've got the "Anker® 18W / 3.6A Car Charger with Built-in Micro USB Cord for Android" and it's actually CHARGING my Note 4 when using GPS navigation and playing music! My Note 2 wouldn't charge, but it would hold charge under the same conditions.
What model charger are you using?

I actually can't find it on the charger itself or even Amazon. It's relatively new, I thought it was a 2.0/2.1 amp charger (2x USB). Definitely Anker though.

Are you using both usb's at the same time? If so, it's splitting the power, so you'll get a slow charge.

Hmm.. this mentions rapid charging, I wonder if it's as fast as the wall charger
http://www.samsung.com/us/mobile/cell-phones-accessories/ECA-U21CBEBXAR
The only chargers that work with the new fast charging technology are ones that are purpose built and have the ability to switch between 9V and 5V,they are quite uncommon.
I have this charger http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00D82O68Y/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o03_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
and it charges my note 4 while running Waze and tethering my Radar Detector via Bluetooth (which also uses GPS)....and it charges my wife's S5 at the same time
Using an afer market 2.1a charger and an S3 cable, charges just fine.

I believe Samsung has stated it's a 9v charger instead of the conventional 5v charger.
Did some more research and found this:
http://www.incipio.com/chargers/car-chargers/quick-charge-2-0-single-port-usb-charger.html#
From the Engadget review, "I clarified with Samsung that it chose a proprietary solution instead of licensing Qualcomm's QuickCharge tech, but it insisted that you could still use QuickCharge 2.0-compatible chargers to achieve the same results."

[FAQs] Smart Phone : Galaxy Note 4- To use fast charging, what kind of charger should be used?
Fast charging uses battery charging technology that charges the
battery faster by increasing the charging power. The Galaxy Note 4
device supports Samsung’s Adaptive Fast Charging feature and
Qualcomm Quick Charge 2.0.
To use Fast charging on your device, connect it to a battery charger
that supports Adaptive Fast Charging or Quick Charge 2.0.

Using Samsung Fast Charger To Charge Phone?

So I my moto charger got destroyed by my dang dog and I'm using a Samsung Fast Charger that came with my wife's note 5. It just says "charging" and its still very slow. It's 2.0a at 5v I believe or 1.6a at 9 or 10v. Yet its still slow. Any recommendations? On marshmallow.
Can anyone help shed light on this?

That's not a qc charger. Hence the slow charging. It's 5v only whereas quick chargers also do 9 and 12 volt.

I don't think the Samsung ones use quick charge 2.0. Even though the galaxy s6/note 5 can use quick charge 2.0 capable charger. I think they use a proprietary Samsung fast charge tech in their own chargers.
So it would charge your phone but at the regular 5v2a. I would recommend getting a quick charge 2.0 capable charger. I have a couple from tronsmart and they are great.

Well I've used the Samsung charger and it says "5v @ 2.0 and then says 9v @1.6. I have it hooked up but its so very very slow. I'm getting 2% charge every 30 mins or so. I ran ampere and I'm getting 3.7V and its stuck on " charging via USB". Anyway to change that from USB to AC? THANK YOU guys for chiming in. I have 6 cords and 3 bricks, 2 Samsung and one of.

Not if it's the typical 5volt 2amp version. Couple that up with the fact the moto X pure is picky about what quick chargers even work with it period and you have a harder time finding one that works.
Start by reading this thread.. then get yourself a replacement that has been reported to work with this phone.

Sounds like a faulty charger or cable possibly.
Do you happen to know of a good replacement?
One off of google play store?
yes and no
its all relative... remember that the "handshake" between phone and charger will indicate if its charging rapidly based on the resistance.
thats why using a bad cable on a normal charger will say the same... and cause damage to the crappy charger
now, if this is stock cable and charger, it would tell me that the 6P is drawing less power than the charger has... that doesnt happens just because, to me it sounds like other factors...
for example, a phone that was outside on the sun or its warm, will not draw 3A and potentially get the battery even hotter to the point of damage.. i can see it drawing less power, and controlling the temp... which in turn the current draw will dictate the ETA for full charge...
for the above example... turn phone off... put it over your car's AC unit at full blast and chill it for a few mins.. let it sit another few mins to ensure the temperature of the device is indeed cool..... then turn on, and charge again... should draw more than before in a few minutes

Charging speed

To power up, you consume Red Bull. But your phone just needs its adaptive fast charger. Rate this thread to express how quickly the Nokia 6 (2018) can charge. A higher rating indicates that it charges extremely fast.
Then, drop a comment if you have anything to add!
There's an 18W charger included. I believe the claims of 50% in 30 minutes are pretty accurate.

Hi. I have just bought this phone and it was all fine. I needed another charger for work so bought a 3Rd party one. It was fine the first few times, but now when I connect it the phone automatically shuts down and will not start again. According to the tech that checked it out, the battery was completely flat.
I suspect I can only use a OEM charger. Really inconvenient.
Nokia lie about fast charge between 0 % to 50 % in 30 minutes . I tested it many time 50 minutes to charge 50 %

Not true. I have never used the OEM charger. Fast charging is tough on the battery as others have said. I have several other chargers (one came with my audio chromecast, one came with an old HTC phone, one is a no-name charger). They are rated anywhere from 1 amp to 1.9 amps. All have worked perfectly. At work I leave my phone on my desk so leaving it plugged in until charged regardless of how long it takes is no big deal. I also make sure to take it off charge once it reaches 100%. It is not good to leave it on charge when full.
More than 2 amps at 5vdc are overkill for the battery and it's causing nothing but a superfast degradation but hey we have superfast charge on a cheapster ...

I'm using an old Aukey QC2.0 charger that I bought 3 years ago for my Zenfone2, it charges quick too. Using a meter I checked that the Nokia charger is using QC3.0 and for instance can charge at 6V/2A or about whatever voltage it wants, but my QC2.0 charger is 5/9/12V only and with a meter I checked it is charging at 9V and ~1.6A. My car charger is also a QC2.0 charger and works too, on the lock screen is it written "fast charging" and yes, it does.
The chargers I use daily for 3 years now (I have the old 2.0 version but now they are 3.0 version)
https://www.amazon.com/AUKEY-Charger-Charge-Samsung-Galaxy/dp/B01BBZJ31Y

so practically using QC 2.0 and QC 3.0 got same charging speed? so what is the advantage of using QC 3.0? can anyone give some info?
QC2.0 is something like 5V/2A, 9V/2A and 12V/1.5A, while QC3.0 voltage range is wider, something like 5V to 20V, requested by the device, it can be 6V/3A for instance. Battery management is better I guess.

For Nokia 6.1 plus yes, tested.

Why on earth was fast charging disabled for this nexus?

*Deleted*
They didn't disable anything - it doesn't have the Qualicom Quick Charge variant, but it does have it's own variant of a rapid charge.
Using two wall chargers I have here and a Benson certified USB-C Cable, one of the wall chargers support QC2.0 and the other QC3.0. Both charged "normally" reporting on the screen as "Charging".
Using the stock USB-C wall charger that came with my 6P, using EX Kernel and the stock kernel from January 8.1 stock ROM, both reported "Charging Rapidly". I switched kernels using EXKM and a backup of the stock Kernel to test this.
Also, I bought a Tronsmart USB-C Car Charger, and it too reports "Charging Rapidly".

So I got my nexus 3 Months ago, I just found out NOW that it is not fast charging at all. I bought a new ANKER charger and wire with it and its just charging slowly which got me really annoyed as I wasted money on it because I thought it had nothing to do with the phone at all. I did some digging around and the maker of franco kernel found out that bloody google disabled the bloody fast charging on the 6P?! What kind of solution is that? I mean they could of at least gave us options on whether to disable or enable it in the phone. Is there ANY way to get fast charging enabled on this phone?

Nexus 6p just charges at a higher amperage then most average phones. As long as you use a charger with 5V/3A you should get charging rapidly. Just remember as the battery percentage increases the amps get lower. Use an app like ampere to make sure your getting close to 3000mA. I think the highest charge I seen on the stock plug was like 2800mA.
Well I bought an ANKER Charger and usb cable with it which definitely says it is fast charging compatible. When it comes to charging my phone I got a small text on my lock screen showing me how much charge there is going to the phone while charging. The average charging mAh is 1,400 and the voltage is 4.3V. I am pretty sure that it has reached a higher charge rate....I'll have to keep an eye on it. Do you think thats an acceptable charging rate?
It's not just about amperage, because some of their chargers are a whopping 8A - https://www.anker.com/ca/products/108/203/Wall-Chargers
Anker doesn't support the variant of rapid charging that the 6P accepts, therefore it only will negotiate down to a normal "charging" rate, which IIRC is exactly what you're getting.
