Mine had errors a few times while trying to activate it, but it eventually worked. I've had a few calls and it seems to work fine. It makes the little extra tone sound when it switches over to Wi-Fi just like my past phones.

Tried a few times it failed. Restarted phone few more tries then it asked for my WiFi home address. WiFi calling is working like a charm.

I turned it on, and have used it on my Verizon pixel xl. Worked fine for me.
Turned on 1st try, worked 1st try.

same.

I've been using wifi calling on my Verizon Pixel XL all day. It failed the first time I tried to turn it on, but it worked the second.

Verizon WiFi calling works perfectly on my Google store pixel xl. No errors

Anyone know of wifi calling works with AT&T?

Same as others. Verizon Wi-Fi calling works just fine.

You just have to make sure HD Voice is activated on your account via Verizon. If it is, you should be able to go the turn on WiFi Calling on your phone. Works great for me.

Works fine for me... right out of the box, just had to turn it on

Weird. Works perfectly on my VZW model. I have even turned off mobile data completely and made perfectly clear calls over my wifi network.

The first two times I tried to enable, it failed. But the third time it worked. (Phone is purchased from Google, not Verizon: I can confirm both Wifi calling and VoLTE are working with Verizon on this phone.)
To confirm wifi calling is definitely working after enabling, put your phone in airplane mode, then enable Wifi while leaving airplane mode still on. Make a call. You will see the dialer states "Wi-Fi Call" at the top. I'm in a strong LTE signal area and it seems even with wifi calling on, it still prefers to use LTE unless I put the phone in airplane mode as I just described. I assume it would fall back to wifi calling automatically when the cell signal is poor.
Now all Wifi Calling users, don't forget to update your street address in Settings each time you change your physical location -- so if you have to make a 911 call over wifi, your address will show correctly!!

I have wifi calling working, but now I am curious...if wifi calling works is there a way for me to text via wifi? If so, how would I set that up?

WiFi calling typically includes support for sending texts over WiFi by default.

I have both the Verizon Pixel XL and the unlocked Google Play Store Pixel and wifi calling works fine on both with Verizon. Neither one of them works with AT&T.

Can you use non-verizon sim cards on Verizon Pixel XL or it's sim-locked? Thinking of getting verizon XL if they release this https://twitter.com/jcase/status/791116565114605569

[Q] Wi-fi calling?

I'm not sure if this is possible yet, but how do we get wi-fi calling onto the N4? I am on T-Mobile and am interested in using this feature since my reception at my apartment is not the best. I bought my N4 from the google play store if that matter.
Everything that I've seen so far says no, it does not have wifi calling. Sorry
There is no support for tmobiles Wi-Fi calling. However, there are several apps like grooveip which do the same thing and work well. They integrate with Google voice.

I don't have my N4 yet -- still stuck in Play Store limbo -- but I've been testing GrooVe IP on my LG G2x in anticipation and have been very pleased with it. It definitely has better call quality than wifi calling.
Thanks guys, I'll check out grooveip in that case!
Have y'all been using GrooveIP with just wifi or have you tried 3g as well? I tried it over 3g with my old Infuse but it was horrible. Hoping that if it's better with 3g I could switch back to t-mobile again.
My problem with is with Google voice. I don't want to use something else for WiFi calling that uses Google voice. Right now I have Google voice on my Epic 4G (virgin mobile) and it is awful for texts. I don't know how people can stand it. I would definitely pay for t mobile WiFi calling. If we don't have it ill probably do att straight talk for the signal. Would prefer T-Mobile value plan with WiFi calling to get good signal everywhere the is WiFi and the faster 3G speed.

Just over wifi (I have the free version for testing, which only supports wifi). When my N4 arrives, I'll probably buy the paid version and at least try out the cell connection.

N6 T-mobile Great on Verizon

Hey guys, to all who are wondering... T-Mobile stores do have some stock of the blue Nexus 6 32gb today, didn't have an issue getting mine. I do have an account with a single line on T-Mobile that I do not use, so I used that account and paid for device in full ($650). Out of the box, it works great on Verizon. Voice quality is much better than Droid Turbo and iPhone 6+. Data speeds are strong (75mbps down & 30up) on LTE.
All I had to do to activate on Verizon was either let device self activate with Verizon SIM that takes about 5 minutes, or by going into Settings - More - Cellular and toggling Global mode.
The reason I made this thread is incase somebody who is like me and got tired of waiting for Google and Moto to have stock and wanted to purchase it via T-Mobile and use on another carrier. My friend works in a retail store and he said that even if you do not have an account with them, you can still buy you at full cost.
Does that mean its sim unlock?

if this works i think i will ask one of my boys who has t mobile to get me a phone out right.. i want the 64gb version tho..
My question is. Will Verizon whitelist the numbers from tmobile later down the line doh and block it from working on their towers. ?

Why would you do that? I have it set to LTE and it seems to keep onto an LTE signal longer compared to "Global" mode, which I would use if I was traveling overseas and inserted a local SIM into my device.
But wouldn't it lose signal if you leave lte coverage and drop to 3g? Since Verizon is CDMA.

Does hotspot work or is it blocked like AT&T?
Sorry, I don't have an ATT Sim. I only tried it for a few minutes when my friend was here to ensure that the device worked.

God I love you right now lol, I am sick of the play store **** so I am probably just going to buy mine on prepaid online tommorow and have it shipped.

Verizon rolling out WiFi calling on the Galaxy S6

Is there a way to utilize this feature on our Nexus 6P now? I have really bad reception in my house and would love to receive and make calls in Wi-Fi.
Sent from my Nexus 6P using Tapatalk
I saw this today also. Hopefully someone will figure out a way for us to implement this feature.
Was wondering how this will get activated on our 6P's
I am also wondering the same thing. Voice over LTE works great on my 6P using Verizon's network, so hopefully WiFi calling can be made to work as well. I suspect that there are no technical limitations that prevent it from working. However, since Verizon still doesn't officially support the Nexus 6P, they obviously aren't going to mention anything concerning the functionality of WiFi calling when they flip the switch on the 8th. Since my father uses a Galaxy S6, I'm going to ask him if his phone receives a software update tomorrow, hopefully giving us an indication if the change to enable WiFi calling is only on the network side, or if the handset needs new software as well to enable the feature.
I need it bad!!! No signal in the gym and I'm there for almost 2 hours everyday. I checked my wife's and my employees devices, none of them have seen an update yet.
I hope we get it!!!

It's a software update that enables it. You then have to go enable it in the same menu as hd calling. When you turn it on you set a home adress for 911 purposes and then it activates the service. I think once you have done that on your line you can use it just like hd calling. Maybe I'm wrong though.
My wife's S6 just updated to include WiFi calling. Damn I want it on the 6P...lol
I really want this on Nexus 6P too. Any hope yet?

nexus 6p on verizon and volte?

i have the $60 per month prepaid verizon plan and im having a few issues. one i see volte isn't working and i do have the toggle on for it. 2nd what is the best radio and band to be on for overizon? lte/cdma auto? i ask because it seems my signal goes in and out alot and my speeds arent up to par when im suppose to be in as good coverage zone.
im on the newest 7.0 update btw.
Have you logged into MyVerizon and ensure that the HD Calling toggle is switched? That it needed for the VoLTE.
For Voice over LTE, you need to make sure it's enabled in your account onli e.
For the radio, keep it on Global in the settings.

VoLTE working on AT&T!

Voice over LTE on AT&T is working on this device! I don't understand how.... Even the pixel didn't work because of AT&T's restrictions. The option is there and I can confirm it works on the Essential PH-1!

I've never had a phone that was WiFi calling compatible on AT&T so I'm not 100% sure but it seems to be working. Under sim status it says WLAN instead of LTE.

Actually mine does the same thing. I never paid attention to see if it switched to HSPA when I made a call. Is there somewhere on your AT&T account that you have to add that feature too? I'm fairly new to AT&T so I wasn't sure. I know on Verizon you have to add that feature.
Neither wifi calling nor VoLTE is working on any carrier. When you place a call, it will fall back to 3G. The only way to stay LTE is to use Hangouts or an app similar

I have Premier and I manage our company plan, so I have the ability to switch online. You used to be able to do it online on regular accounts, but not sure now. Worst case, you call CS with an IMEI for an S7, S8 and have them switch it. Then put the SIM in the essential phone. You don't need the physical S7 or S8 device at all.

SIM from my S8. Just swapped it over and things are working fine.
PLease send screenshots of LTE+ while on a call. The IMEI's for Essential products are not recognized on the AT&T network. You will get LTE+ while on a call which is easily faked with most Android phones by the manufacturer, but when you goto use the internet with the wifi radio off, it will fallback. My brother is an engineer @ AT&T, and i've confirmed this to be the case. All but AT&T branded phones will work, and a handful of off brands by those same manufacturers.
See attached. On a call and playing a youtube video at the same time while showing LTE+ in the bar and no wifi indicator. I will also say that the speed was certainly at an lte level.
Now that is interesting. In your mobile settings, what do you have set for the protocol selection?

so it seems the trick is to use an imei that is part of their inventory?
