Leeco released some source codes - LeEco Le1 Pro Guides, News, & Discussion

Leeco released some source codes for some models. That includes LEmax. Now since ported roms worked of lemax wotked on le1 pro us edition. Can those sources be used to cook a AOSP rom for LE1 pro us edition?
Here is the sourcode link: http://opensource.le.com
Here are the device list:
Le S3 Le X522 IFXNAOP5801810091S
Le Max2 Le X829 FIXNAOP5801810092S
Le Pro3 Le X727 WEXNAOP5801810083S
Le 1s/Le 1s Eco Le X507/Le X509 DHXOSOP5501405251S
Le 1s/Le 1s Eco Le X507/Le X509 DHXOSOP5801708261S
Le 2 Le X526 IIXOSOP580160729S
Le Max CHXOSOP5501405221S
Le Max2 Le X820 FGXOSOP5801607292S

Did they remove everything? Can't see any phone listed.

Yes, they have removed everything. There is a mirror for LeMax kernel source so maybe we can use it (the same hw). Still no info if they are going to release Le1 pro source.

Source code are old, for EUI 5.5, kernel 3.10.49
Here is the link if someone want to play with (I save the source code when it was up - 1.5 years ago!)
https://www.mediafire.com/folder/ff7hbpa62ivsg/

Thanks! I've found a copy of the old opensource.le.com here: http://web.archive.org/web/20180626053054/http://opensource.le.com:80/ Might be useful for reference...

If you look at the website I posted above, you'll see an entry like this:
Le Max | CHXOSOP5501405221S
The download link points to http://g3.letv.cn/240/35/90/lefoss/0/Le_Max_OpenSource.zip (which is obviously offline). I could not find a file named Le_Max_OpenSource.zip within the link you sent. Can you point out what file corresponds to this one?

In my file you will find the kernel_CIXOSOP5501405221S wich is for Max 1 but it fits to X800 - Le 1Pro also. There is some not important difference between this an the CHXOSOP5501405221S mentioned above. If you want I have that to.
But there is already the working link to them posted a few thread above.

LeEco LeMax2 - Model/Drivers info

We need to get a database for LeEco Le Max2 because the components and drivers for the several revisions of this device may differ. Under-the-hood disparities may affect the behavior of ROMs.
A nice hardware diagnostics tool is the Device Info HW app by Andrey Efremov. Therefore, I request that you install the app and select Upload device information at the Info Center option in order to feed the Device Info HW database by Andrey Efremov. Then check the database for comparison with other LeEco Le Max2 devices.
Links and detailed instructions at the end of this post.
133 devices are registered already at the Device Info HW database for LeEco (Le X820, Le X821, Le X822, Le X823 and Le X829).
117 devices are registered as MODEL Le X820 or LEX820.
However, some masked X829 are registered as X820. Why does that happen? These devices are in the X820 database because their build.prop file has been modified by a custom ROM. A second opinion is that masked devices are firmware related and not ROM (build.prop) related, that modification happens when a Chinese/Indian modem is flashed on the american model (X829). Do custom ROMs allow deeper component testing than stock ROMs? Sometimes they do, depending on SoC, manufacturer and developer choices. Report to this thread when the tests performed by the Device Info HW app (or AIDA64 app) provide positive results on CAMERA drivers or other missing data shown below. Give us details of your device model and ROMs, please.
Feedback is welcome from owners of X829, X823, X822, X821 and X820.
3 devices are registered as MODEL Le X821
1 device is registered as MODEL Le X822
12 devices are registered as MODEL Le X829 or LEX829

Missing data - LENS, PMIC, RTC, WIFI, MODEM, FLASH, NFC
The creator of Device Info HW gives the following explanation for missing data.
"New devices with Universal Flash Storage (UFS) memory chips use the name 'SCSI' instead of 'FLASH'.
PMIC and RTC are integrated in SoC.
WIFI on Qualcomm is shown if an external chip like bcm4xxx exists. For others I found correct info only for some Xiaomi devices.
MODEM - on MediaTek it contains the project name, for others only the baseband is available.
NFC - it seems that it isn't supported.
LENS - I can't find for this device, may be when the Phase Detection AutoFocus (PDAF) actuator library is not used.
On some models the enabled driver for fingerprint sensor is: goodix_fp."
The developers of custom ROMs for LeEco Le Max 2 must include all these drivers!
Update - I think that there is a need to know the original drivers 'out of the box' in all LeEco Le Max 2 (X829, X823, X822, X821 and X820). Let me know if you have the original ROM and provide screenshots of the test, please.
Everybody should install the Device Info HW app by Andrey Efremov in order to register the components and drivers of their devices in the database. This is a great help for developers and will ensure that your device is supported too!
Install the app, give it the permissions that it asks for (INTERNET, CAMERA and ACCESS_WIFI_STATE ), and manually select "Use Root" at the Settings option. After applying root you need to restart the app. Then select Upload device information at the Info Center option in order to feed the Device Info HW database. Finally check the database for comparison with other LeEco Le Max2 devices.

Positive CAMERA results on two masked X829 devices - Device Info HW database
Thanks for your printscreens of test results for the Device Info HW and AIDA64.
Preliminary results based on all X829 devices
Positive CAMERA results on two devices running Android 8.1.0. These devices are in the X820 database because their build.prop file has been modified by a custom ROM. Those two X829 modified devices belong to @TioCareca and @mardeck. There may be more masked X829 devices with positive CAMERA results, pretending to be X820 running custom ROMs. The exclusive X829 database has negative CAMERA results.
Summary
Two of twelve devices that have positive CAMERA results have been identified as masked X829 devices. They run Android 8.1.0 custom ROMs. Are these AICP ROMs or another distribution?
Therefore, we still need to identify the owners of the remaining ten devices and their ROMs.

Thanks for this, masked devices can be more as it's firmware related and not rom (build.prop) related, its caused when a Chinese/Indian modem is flashed, only American model is x829...
I wold test with stock rom/firmwate but can't find x829 firmware...

I ve got 2 Le Maxs, an X820 and an X829, one is running PixelExperience 8.1.0 (Official),the X829 and one is running RR 7.1.2 (Official, Final).
Both report their correct model names, I ve also used LinneageOS 7.1.2 and the model name was reported correctly in settings (didnt try the Device HW info app when running LinneageOS).
Uploaded both to the database.

From what I can find, the difference from your J320M vs the J320FN is negligible...
Differences:
SM-J320FN
NFC Enabled
Bluetooth 4.0
SM-J320M
No NFC (battery swap can change this)
Bluetooth 4.1
Give this rom a try... I'm pretty sure people with the M variant have flashed FN/F ROMs successfully.

I recommend OctOS as I have found it to be very stable and so have others. It has even been mentionned in the OP in regards to how rock solid it is.

English only, please read XDA rules
j320m question
the j320m needs a kernel to be able to run roms of other variants --- "j3xlte is the only one and the others ----" j3xnlte is different. but I do not see anyone's interest here on the part of xda in supporting j3xlte, it is equal to j320f the difference between is the dual-sim question
---------- Post added at 09:46 PM ---------- Previous post was at 09:41 PM ----------
j320m needs to have a kernel adapted to it to be able to run F roms not those of the FN. there is also the variant G which is dual sim. I tested roms of fn and f in M, but I was stuck to the bootanimation of the roms that I installed
---------- Post added at 09:49 PM ---------- Previous post was at 09:46 PM ----------
I tried to port the stock kernel from F to M, but I did not need to know what files make the initiation of the roms. j320m only has lineage with own kernel and not for samsung stock
Maybe you can try the los14.1.
With this recovery => https://drive.google.com/open?id=1oR0TVX5038JWdCVA3AlU5DdLanYt7DeS
And the j3xlte version available here => https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=77584170&postcount=1574
@CyrcleOneX You do not have the kernel source code on the samsung open source site ?
Yep one version for ll, you can compare the configuration with a version ll for the sm-j320f.
finally a rom pro j3xlte, although I think it is not very difficult to make roms pro j3xlte; remains to expect the same thing to happen but with a samsung stock. Congratulations to the developers xda
Nope it's easy, I just removed the nfc and I changed the most important option this => https://github.com/djeman/android_k...m-14.1/arch/arm/configs/j3xlte_defconfig#L362
When you check dts files => https://github.com/djeman/android_kernel_samsung_sharkls/tree/cm-14.1/arch/arm/boot/dts
You can see that it's a kernel for the scx35l board codename sharkls for some samsung devices (gtexslte, j1acevelte, j1minilte, j3xlte and j3xnlte).
then it is impossible to use the roms made for j3xnlte in j3xlte. my expectations were those of being able to use roms from j3xnlte in j3xlte - but it seems that it is not possible, there is a version of samsung stock 6.0 ported to j3xnlte but it has not pro j3xlte. congratulations.. thank you

Wow, that's not easy at all. j3xlte is too complicated, but now we have the LOS14.1 made for it, I hope in brevity j3xlte will be awarded with new custom roms.. Thanks you
Maybe it's only a problem with dts/dtb files ... I don't know I have a fn.
But bad dts/dtb files can make a bootloop.
I got a bootloop when I developed the rom with a memory overflow caused by the ril that got a bad configuration in the dts file.
the j3xlte LOS 14.1 version has relevant bugs or bugs?

Congratulations on your work, happy with that and happy for that information.
it would be possible to use RE Dream UX V3 on the j320m pq and a port of the samsung 6.0 stock for j3xnlte, but it has no pro j3xlte a kernel would solve this because the boot.img of the LOS 13 does not run
LOS 14.1 in J320M?

Maybe you can try the los14.1.
With this recovery => https://drive.google.com/open?id=1oR0TVX5038JWdCVA3AlU5DdLanYt7DeS
And the j3xlte version available here => https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=77584170&postcount=1574
@CyrcleOneX You do not have the kernel source code on the samsung open source site ?
Yep one version for ll, you can compare the configuration with a version ll for the sm-j320f.

if i can understand u had ported LOS 14.1 for the J320M by swaping the kernel and removing nfc function right?
I explained here => https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=77586742&postcount=9
So yep a kernel with one option changed (the platform selected ^^) that include some little changes in the kernel code but especially that includes differents dts files.
I think the nfc is not important to get a boot.
I not modified the ramdisk, the nfc is launched by an apk.
You can check the source code => https://github.com/djeman
the j320m is doing well at customs, but it needs a f or fn-based kernel, it already has the RE DREAM UX but it is not j3xlte, and the boot13img of LOS13 only takes the bootanimation is no more than the name "samsung" the boot.img of LOS 14.1 is not good for this rom to start
the good of the variant M which is about it is the same as other j3xlte (for example: j320f and j320g which are respectively j3xltejt and j3xltedx, but not to the fn that besides being different, its basis is j3xnlte that although it is not difficult to compile roms its the closest version that is the j320f, but by chance it does not work on the j320m if ported from fn pro f, what happens.
