Samsung Cloud - AT&T Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge Questions & Answers

I just return my Note 7 to AT&T. I had eveythind backed up to Samsung Cloud. Does the S7 Edge have access to the cloud now and if so how do you access it or enable it?

I can't find it either...google says s7 shud support the cloud...I've updated to latest firmware...it's not there...hopefully it'll be soon...I've got a full backup on the cloud...

Some of the European updates have had Samsung Cloud installed; the only US S7 I remember seeing it updated with it is T-Mobile.

Thanks

Naked photos recovered from android phones.

Question is encrypt our device is really important? Our data can be recovered easily when we sell our device? How many people here they are using encryption in their note 3?

Mostly applies to 'older' smart phones........
Yes old android phone doesn't have encryption features under security, we have this feature available but how many people using this? Google says before factory reset phone data must be encrypted if we want to sale our device, if encrypt data & do factory reset it will not ask password?

This what I mean, I don't think many people encrypt there device & new device is only secure when it's encrypt, so new device also insecure as good as old device & unknowingly we sale our devices to others.

A, who is dumb enough to store naked pictures on a device of which per average 3 are stolen every second?
B, I was under the impression that it was common knowledge that factory reset in setting is a Soft reset.
C, Reflash firmware and tell it to wipe during flash. Should be sufficient.

It's not only about naked pictures, if you read link I attach it says about emails, documents etc, which may lead to compromise privacy & financial loss.

As I said in B.and C.
Most users are stupid enough to only do a a soft reset through setting.

Plus this will only refer to internal memory.
For all important stuff you keep on external sdcard, make apps record/use extscard and don't include the card when you sell.

[Q] How can I bypass Sprint activation on Samsung Galaxy 4 7" tab 3G/LTE?

I have a chance to get a Samsung Galaxy 4 7" 3G/LTE tab at a fantastic price, but I only need (for now, anyway) wifi connectivity. How can I bypass activation? I've read about the trick, but that is over 3 years old and I'm sure it won't work with this model. Anyone know? Thanks.

Can't disable Lookout after PD7 update

I've been having some issues with my S7 edge, so I exchanged it with T-Mobile. I got the replacement phone and updated it all the way to PD7 without doing anything. I just started disabling a bunch of apps and realized Lookout can't be disabled anymore, even though it's disabled on my original S7 edge. I tried Package Disabler Pro, but the app is saying that it can't be uninstalled. Any ideas?
Disables for me. You might want to try a factory reset. That's what I always do whenever an update or phone replacement comes. Granted I only have about 6 apps on my phone so it's a quick set up lol

When did you disable it though? I have it disabled on the older S7 edge, but I get the feeling that T-Mobile blocked new users from disabling it in PD7.

I understand that, but when did you get your phone? Did you disable Lookout before the latest update?

Ahaha I missed that part somehow
I guess I'll try a factory reset :/
You can disable it if you first disable it through settings - lock screen and security - device administrators first.

Premium sms? Not exactly sure what you are talking about.

I don't think these can be disabled directly on the Android, I think your mobile operator has to do this

You mean the new Enhanced Messaging Service?
That's carrier dependent, you can't choose whether or not to enable it.

hi im not sure if you called it premium sms but here's the scenario i have one application that i accidentally click the premium user so the bill should be on my Credit/debit card but instead its automatically deducted on my postpaid simcards.. does anyone here have the same scenario/issue?
any help is appreciated.
That would mean your issue is a carrier related one, not a phone problem. That option does not exist on my S7E at all because my carrier does not have such things.

Is it possible to wifi tether for free S7 Edge

Hi I have an unrooted Sprint Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge. I would actually like to keep it unrooted also. I I had no problem doing Wi-Fi tether before, but I was wondering if it's possible to Wi-Fi tether my Sprint Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge device for free without rooting? I've tried everything that I can read on the internet but nothing seems to work. I keep getting the message saying a Sprint wants me to sign up for their service. I would rather not if I don't have to. Thank you

Should be possible since that's the default in most countries, but you'd be breaching contract with sprint I'd think.

I would believe they're rooting your phone would do the same thing but nobody seems to have a problem with that on here.
