[News] Leeco will probably start selling the Le Max 2 in the US on October 19th. - LeEco Le Max 2 Guides, News, & Discussion

As it hasn't been posted yet:
http://www.theverge.com/2016/10/7/13207064/leeco-us-product-launch-leak-smartphones-tvs-vizio
So Leeco will start selling its products in the USA on October, 19th.
"Le Max2 will be available for $289 after a $60 discount, while the Le S3 appears to be a rebranded Le 2 that will sell for $169"
Hopefully this will boost sales and lead to more software development. At that price, the phone will undercut the popular Axon 7 and Oneplus 3.

beware phone fingerprint scanner do not work either from starting or after few days. 8 out of 10 devices are faulty fingerprint scanner. they are selling this faulty devices not only in india but also in china. everywhere all the users are complaining about the faulty hardware.
check the link below of their official Le forum where all Chinese users are complaining about the the faulty hardware.
https://translate.googleusercontent...1.html&usg=ALkJrhjBQQEbfOlaP5nkQ8joW-vkIH-gUA

Today is the 19th. Would love to get a copy of the Official USA rom. I know the beta has been floating around out there....
EDIT: USA Lineup has now been revealed on the LeEco USA website. No Le Max 2.

Where can buy Redmi Note 2?

Hi xda users:
This is for try to find the low price and best(short) delivery time..
anyone can give me suggestions?
I´m from Mexico
Here you go:
https://www.ibuygou.com/p-xiaomi-re...it-octa-core-22ghz-2gb-ram-32gb-rom-6992.html
ibuygou is very expensive, at least the 16gb model. I buy this phone on geekbuying, they give you a coupon for the first order, and it cost me with free shipping 149 euros-161 USD
How reliable are either of those sites? Looking at both for shipping to the UK...
This should help: http://www.kimovil.com/en/where-to-buy-xiaomi-redmi-note-2-pro
Thanks, but I'm more interested in reviews of the various sites that sell it, and UK shipping. There's a lot of dodgy companies out there, after all.
@FloatingFatMan ibuygou is not a dodgy company. I have bought a Xiaomi Powerbank off them in the past, which was shipped from the Far East. They now offer EU Warehouse shipping for select items as well.
Also maybe of interest:
http://www.topresellerstore.co.uk/
http://xiaomishop.it/
http://www.honorbuy.com/
http://www.aliexpress.com/store/1153179
I have also purchase from this reseller in the past:
http://beexz.com/
Service was excellent.
That's the kind of answer I was hoping for. Thanks for the information. I wasn't saying they were, but there are plenty out there that are. Caveat emptor and all that.
I would only recommend sites that I know are reputable
I'd suggest geekbuying. They are original and provide discount for new users (you will get the code when you register)
http://www.geekbuying.com/item/Xiao...ore-MIUI-V7-3060mAh-13-0MP---Gray-351517.html
Gearbest is also seems ok. Used to purchase Xiaomi powerbanks there, pretty fast and smooth, came originals.
Then there's a coolicool used to purchase Gionee Elife E7 phone. Also pretty fast and smooth. But currently they have no Redmi Note 2.
Geekbuying is also s'pposed to be ok, since many tech reviewers link to it.
You can also try coupon code "retailmenot" for 5% discount. The code is from the site with the same name.
http://www.retailmenot.com/view/geekbuying.com?c=6823991
Is the Prime version (32 GB) available yet?
There is a shop in Hong Kong selling the 16GB white model on Ebay right now, with fast shipping. I ordered two for a great price, one for me and one for my brother or to sell. Will arrive in Australia by next week, which is good because I dropped my G2 today and cracked the screen. There are 4 left!
As for me, I prefer to buy from coolicool. Because it's low price and service.
Oppomart 159$
The prime version is $ 50 more. Shipping is $30 to the USA. Some of the other sites include free shipping. I know geekbuyer has free slow shipping but fast shipping is an extra $5.
I have heard that a number of people bought Oneplus One phones from Oppomart.
Some new deals have popped up, on an Australian forum I frequent. first is for 2ghz/16gb, second is for 2.2ghz/32gb:
Xiaomi Redmi Note 2, 4G Phone $212.57AUD ($152.99USD) with Coupon, Free Shipping @ JD
https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/209020
Original Xiaomi Redmi Note 2 Prime 2GB/32GB 5.5" Helio X10 Octa-Core 64Bit US$207.98 (~ AU $290) @nextbuying
https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/209102
And another good deal here, RN2 PRIME 32GB/2.2Ghz with free Silicone case+Screen Protector (if you tick the box) for $205:
http://www.vickmall.com/original-xi...-helio-x10-octa-core-5-5-inch-fhd-13-0mp.html
I think you can buy this redmi phone from geekbuying,I bought the xiaomi note phone from this shop before,it's original and they had a good customer service.

LEeco in the US clearly not happening

For those who were wondering
https://www.engadget.com/2017/05/23/chinas-leeco-lays-us-ambitions-to-rest-with-massive-layoffs/
As a consumer, it sucks to lose a potential choice, especially when LG and HTC have clearly given up trying outplay Samsung, but their Le Pro3, even at $300, fared terribly against my OnePlus 3 and OnePlus 3T, so I returned it. You couldn't even unlock the bootloader back when I had it... The Le Max 2 on the other hand is a fantastic choice at $196, and arguably a better phone than the Pro3. I bought the Max 2 as a placeholder for the OnePlus 5 after I sold my 3 and 3T, but I just skip the 5, and wait for the OnePlus 6, that's how good the Max 2 is. It looks like LeEco has given up too considering how their upcoming phone's are very similar to the Max 2...

Yeah it would be nice to see another strong competitor in the game! I'm surprised you sold your 3T it's a way more stable device than Max2.. I guess for price/performance ratio le max2 is pretty good positioned especially with the few good roms around.
Hopefully they'll still continue to push updates and devices... but I'm wondering about a potential Nougat update unless they decide to jump to Android O right away :silly:
Its not looking too good for LeEco lately, see all the recent news reports.

Xiaomi sale AliExpress 28 June orders

Hello everyone.
As you may be aware, AliExpress had a sale on Xiaomi phones on a couple of stores (MC Store and Xiaomi Online).
I and many other people ordered a Mi 6 during the sale. However, it is now the 23 of July and my phone hasn't even been dispatched yet.
Having contacted other buyers I came across, it is apparent nobody has received their phone yet.
There at least two excuses. Xiaomi Online says that it is something to do with the shipping declaration and new rules or something like that and MC Store say that it was supposed to be a pre sale of the global version and they still haven't been given the stock.
I'd like to know if everyone's experience with this sale has been the same.
I can't say I'm pleased with this, and from sellers recommended in the wiki. I still haven't cancelled the order because the phone hasn't been that cheap anywhere else but it has been a month and I'm seriously considering it now.
Thanks

If I buy Pro 3, will get current software

I have a Pro 3 and thinking of buying another for backup and testing. Maybe try flashing 7.0 or 8.0 ROM.
Originally, when I bought Pro 3 in November 2016, there were issues fixed by at least 2 OA Updates.
IF I buy one now, is software up to date?
Know that Le Eco US website down.
After a year, my current Pro 3 is still working great. Yes, it would have been great to have upgraded software, but apps seem current and works fine.
Bought it for $249, so very happy. Saw new on Amazon for $199.
Tempted to buy.
Any current information you can give me would be appreciated.

Still stuck on marshmallow. But we have a couple of nougat roms that are really good and stable
No, since LeEco is pretty much dead now, in North America and China. However, new Le phones are being released which is hilarious to me. A phone with 6 gigs of RAM with a Snapdragon 821 stuck on Marshmallow. lmao
Wait for Black Friday. You might get one for under $150.

How hard is it to learn to flash one of the ROM'S. I am technically experienced, but never done it, so don't want to brick phone.
Any hand holding around to help?
Sent from my LeEco Le Pro3 using XDA Labs
I think the le pro 3 is the best phone for flashing. Just tick OEM unlock in dev options. Then open the bootloader with ADB and flash twrp. After this you are ready to flash what you want. In comparsion to a Samsung or Sony its pretty easy.

U.S.A. 7x Owners: Do You Want To Upgrade Your Ram / Storage From 3/32 to 4/64?

U.S.A. 7X Owners..
Are you a little peeved that the BND-L24 U.S.A. variant only comes with 3/32 Ram/Storage.. while the rest of the planet gets 4/64 ?
Don't really care for the 7x in Black? in Red? or the Blue?
Maybe you prefer a nice Silver ? or perhaps a nice Gold colored 7x ?
Got an extra $50.00 or so bucks ?
Boy..... Do I have a deal for you.
Step Right Up !
And purchase your shiny new HUAWEI 7x !!!
That's Right...... *HUAWEI* 7x
You see.. in their infinite wisdom.. Huawei has now decided.. we kinda got SCREWED here in the good old U.S. of A. with our 3/32 variants..
So, they've seen fit to rectify that by throwning us the same bone they've thrown the rest of the planet.. in the form of one
*Honor Mate SE*
Which is nothing more than a rebranded 7x with 4/64 instead of 3/32...
Oh... and it comes in Silver & Gold instead of Black, Blue and Red.
Price looks to be $250.00.. instead of the $199.99 the 7x currently sells for now in the U.S.A.
Now... the Silver Lining in all of this is:
Will it LAUNCH with EMUI / OREO 8.0 ? .. the B192 update with Faical Unlock latest patches etc..
This one has me thinking.... (mainly for resale and moving up from Honor's *Sub-Brand* title/ status) it MIGHT just be worth the $50.00 to make the switch..
If You Like.. Read more about it here: https://www.pocket-lint.com/phones/...e-is-a-rebranded-honor-7x-destined-for-the-us
Same Old Same Old..

Nah...
Same Old Same Old......... Nougat at launch.. (and god only knows when 8.0 will finally get to the U.S.of A... always last on the country's to get it list) .. so same old 7x not worth extra cash for 1Gig of Ram and 64Gb of storage.
And no guarantees (TeamKirin excepted) of any more Developer Support.
The View 10... or the Tried & True OnePlus 5T ( and OnePlus 6 in June.. ) seem to be the Sweet Spot.. Price and Interest wise at XDA (The View 10 is pretty damn strong out of the box.. and gets a lot of press)
The ONLY Budget device now that Without Question will either launch with Oreo 8.0 ( 8.1 ? ) OR get MAJOR Developer's onboard is the Motorola G6 Plus with that Snapdragon 630 engine.
Living in the middle east, Dubai, United Arab Emirates, I bought a brand new 4gb ram 64gb internal storage for just $265 including delivery.
It is unfair you get bummed for certain products but so do many others. Places like Brazil, Columbia and parts of Eastern Europe get f***ed the hardest when it comes to tax and sky high prices on almost everything especially electronics.
The US is usually the cheapest when it comes to cheaper pricing when it comes to electronics among many other items. Computer components and such are the cheapest in the US compared to any other place, so in a way consider yourself lucky.
In the UK, we get f***ed hard when it comes to taxes on pc hardware.

Yeah.. I Feel You On The Taxation...
When it comes to Chinese phones in the U.S.A. , we are ALWAYS last on the list when it comes to getting updates.
I don't know if politics plays a part in this or not.
Whenever Huawei / Honor figures out how to make EMUI / OREO 8.0 work on other devices besides their Flagships.. and actually starts the regional rollouts..
The U.S.of A. will be the VERY LAST region to get this major update.. That's where your region has a HUGE advantage.
We all know, China will take care of their own 1st.. Then will come India, Euoupe / UK, Mars & Venus.. then they'll take a weeks vacation..... then, they'll come back and start rolling it out 1 city at a time to the good old U.S.of A.
It's been almost a month now (well.. 3 weeks for sure) since the 1st regions started receiving the B192 / Facial /AR update.
Has your region received that update yet?
Someone (I guess on here from Honor USA ) posted in one of my threads that, the U.S.A. would start receiving EMUI / OREO 8.0 in April...
I'll bet $$$ out of my Next Device Fund that we will get no sniffs of that update in April...
May / June is much more realistic for the U.S. of A. if how they are rolling out the B192 update is any indication of how they do business.
I think I'll wait and see what the Mate SE holds. I've been wanting a 7x for a while now, but Amazon is still showing out of stock. I'll either give it a couple months and see how the reviews are or see what the SE brings. Maybe they'll fix the Bluetooth/wifi issue and other nit picky things.
You Definitely Have Options..

Sir.. You Know You Can Purchase The Device Directly From Honor's Website...
https://www.hihonor.com/us/index.html... if you are in the U.S. of A... I think, if you are a Prime Member you will have a little longer return period buying it through Amazon.. I had another thread where someone was told they could not even return their Amazon purchased deivce.. I posted proof that I did indeed return my Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 back in August with no issues whatsoever.. I am a Prime Member so, that may have had something to do with it.. but keep that in mind as oppsed to buying it directly from Honor.. which has a 15 day return period.
To be honest.. Unless you prefer Gold / White or Silver/ Black to the Honor colors.. It's The EXCACT Same Phone.
I thought maybe.. just maybe by it not being the "Sub-Brand" it would launch with 8.0 and all the other goodies already installed...
No Such Luck... It's the same phone with the Huawei branding.
3 other devices to Strongly consider...
The Honor View 10 ( My 1st choice  )
The OnePlus 5T/ 6
The Motorola G6 Plus (should be unveiled at MWC in a few days)
Either of these would be a worthy investment.. the 7x is too.. but if you are into Developer Support, these devices are going to get considerbly more attention than the 7x.
If you alread have the funds for the 7x.. and don't seem to mind waiting a couple of months more... it would give you time to slip another few hundred away and have the option to get a 6GB / 128 (rumored) full boat Moto G6 or the incredible Honor View 10 or OnePlus 5T / 6
One of those 3 will be my next option for sure.
P.S.
No Bluetooth or Wi-Fi issues on my 7x whatsoever.. Actually, I have no Mechanical or Software Glitches period.
But my 7x is Completely Stock with a locked bootloader. :good:

Thank you for all the info. Currently using a moto e4 and it's been doing fine except I want tether capability on cricket. Moto locks that down. I had the G5+ and liked it.
I'd like to purchase on Amazon for the reason you listed. In USA and am a prime member so return should be no problem.
I used to unlock/root all my phones but haven't the past couple, haven't seen a need to.
My contenders right now are the 7x (mate SE), zte pro v8, or zte axon 7 mini.

I can't bring myself to get gold lol. I purchased a zte v8 pro to try. If I don't like I'll return it and get a 7x.
Since this is just a rebranded Honor 7X has anyone tried to root, bootloader unlock, and put TWRP on the Mate SE?
My question regarding Mate is who provides the software updates to the Device, Honor or Huawei.

You can also get your Huawei Mate SE via amazon here in the US. I bought my honor 7x (didn't want to spent 50 bucks more for a budget phone) through amazon and so far so good.
