Anyone get TWC TV (Time Warner Cable) to work yet?

Hi,
Just tried one of the apk's that I found on XDA and it did not work.
Did anyone have better success?

I haven't been able to get it to work either. I'm interested to get working apk.

TWCable TV apk: Working
Downloaded from the Play store a copy of the *.apk on my KFire, which is running a CM9 ICS ROM [it is not emulating a different device]
Copied the *.apk over to the N7, installed, and it fired right up with Live Cable. My N7 is unlocked/rooted.
filename on KFire: /data/app/com.TWCableTV-1.apk
give me a destination and I'll be happy to upload the apk file

FWIW:
The *.apk size is 34.16MB
Cannot upload to public server

just chiming in here, i don't know if they have updated the app or what, but i get an error stating Live TV is not supported on Rooted devices. I expected this, but i temp unrooted with voodoo, rebooted, and i still get the error...
FIXED: Sideload most recent apk, set perms, rename superuser.apk to su.apk, profit.

can someone just upload a clean apk of the TWC TV app - no rooting fix

first off,sorry for pinching this i just wanted to try something lol,well it installed but its looking for a username / password you dont happen to have a spare lol

I get the "Live TV is not supported on Rooted devices" stop as well.Loaded fine and the guide and other stuff works but no tv.

Have you renamed superuser.apk in system/app and (if you are running a different Rom) did you blank out the ro.build.tags=test_keys line in /system/build.prop? Uninstall the app, do all that, then reboot and reinstall.

This wouldn't work even if i gave you mine unless you were on my Wi-Fi or ssh tunneled into my connection. TWC checks for that in their app.

[Q] samsung video hub failed to sign in

So I'm trying to sing into my samsung video app but anytime I try it's shows failed to sign in does anyone else having this same problem or it's just me ???
and if I am the only 1 who has this issue what should I do to fix it otherwise everything the others samsung apps works just fine

I've got the same trouble with my SGH-i337m from Mexico, I just turned to wanamlite 1.5 i9505 and then when I try to sign in it says "invalid device id". I've read a few things about changing build.prop but I don't know how.

To change build.prop you have to be rooted. And either download an app that does that and or browse to it via a root browser and modify it. Make a backup because if you mess up something your hosed. Soft bricked anyhow.
I don't have any problems however I would suggest clearing cache and data through settngs then apps. You are using your Sammy id right?

Thanks for the quick reply, I have buildprop editor, I'm root, but what should I change to sign in correctly to video hub?

I wouldn't change build.prop unless I absolutely had too. It does work on AT&T software. So modifying build.prop would only make ur device look like T-Mobile or others if that's what was suggested through other threads.

I know Netflix and Red box wouldn't allow u to use there sevice if you were rooted. Any chance Samsung blocks you from using/logging into their's if your rooted?

I had stock rooted and I changed to Wanamlite i9505 custom rom.

[Q] Please help, Google Now & s voice

I have a Samsung Galaxy note 4 SM-N910U rooted, running android 4.4.4, baseband version N910UXXU1ANL4 (if any other information is necessary please tell me) so being the novice that I am I uninstalled s voice with out backing up or anything like that, and I didn't think it would affect anything, but then I went into my camera app and it gives me a error saying "com.vlingo.Midas is disabled. To enable this application, tap app info, then tap enable" so realizing my mistake I googled S voice and and reinstalled, it crashes whenever I open it, which is fine because I never use S voice and it got rid of the error on my camera, but then I realized my Google Now was not working, in Google Now/settings/Voice/"ok google" detection the setting "from any screen" can't be turned on, trying to figure out what was wrong I uninstalled S voice and it allowed me to turn Google Now on but gave me that error back, so now I'm stuck between these two things. If anyone can help please answer as soon as possible.

Try this:
1-Download this apk:http://www.mediafire.com/download/ceae1v1we51nz0q/S-Voice_Android_phone.apk
2-Use ES File explorer and copy it to system/priv-app
3-Make sure the name is exactly S-Voice_Android_phone and set the permissions to rw-r--r--.
Then reboot and see if it works

Itz been a pain in the ass for me searching for how to Bypass FRP motorola x play 6.0.1 (March 1 security patch)
1. No otg works.
2. Cant enable dev options.
3. Cant switch users.
4. No adb works without usb debugging.
Their isnt a trick that i hvnt used.
Their isnt a way that i havnt tried.
I have heared alot about Xda , thought about giving it a try.

And you started another one. So far no one came up with an idea of bypassing March version of FRP, so yiu can try downgrading your firmware to some earlier versions and see if Root Junky's methods will work on them

look i can just run the phone in demo mode, neither can i unlock the developer settings nor i can i log in into my google account. and it takes some extra number of steps, there is a kill switch which is exclusive to motorola inc. which gets activated as soon as i try to log in into my google account and shuts down all the processes of the android os. So if i can find out the kill switch or you can help me out to find the kill switch then i can successfully bypass the google account verification. and moreover the security is a chip level security that i believe cause it does not get affected by any kind of bios modifications. also the kill switch activates when you try to jump on to the final step of phone setup wizard, or try to save a contact, or refresh whatsapp contact list.

-after you enter the settings on step 30, the steps as of i know are as under
- go to apps select google app, go to permissions and give all the permissions to the google app
- now go to the chrome app and then give all the permissions to chrome app.
- now go to the youtube app and give all the permissions to the youtuube app.
- now go to data usage
- now go to about, but before all this connect to a wifi connection
- now go to about in the data usage panel of the youtube app
- now go to Google privacy policy
- it will open chrome and whoa you are into the system but in test mode
- now open google website
- now search for Aptiode
- Download it,
- you cant access the downloads file
- so go to the google app
-- now tap on Notifications
-now go to app settings
- now turn on show cards
- now tap on No, Thanks
- now search downloads
- then install aptiode by enabling " install apps from third party"
- and open aptiode
- search for nova launcher
- download and install it
- and now open it,
- well now you have access to almost everything except the developer options and logging into your google account,
- now open aptiode and search for " Multi Window Side"
- install the 1st application in the list
- open the application and add all the application to the multi window
-now whenever you restart the phone or accidentally go back to the welcome screen just try to tap on the side bar and select nova launcher.
-you can do almost everything in this mode except for the logging into your google account or turn on developer option

yes i did try soft reset and hard reset with quickshortcutmaker butsomehow the google account verification screen doesnt go away

Ignore language and see what he doing
how to open setting there is lots of videos on youtube.
1) Install apptoide and then install file manager from that to install apk.
2) copy that apk in sdcard and install it using file manager.
3) encrypt phone and to do this phone battery should be least 80%.
4) run that apk which is in thread and set device owner.
5) now reset option will be enable so just do reset and yu done,

There are updated versions of OP launcher, camera, gallery, contacts, phone etc on https://www.apkmirror.com/uploads/?q=oneplus-ltd
Is it recommended that we update our OP phones (6T in my case) by manually downloading these updated versions from apkmirror and installing them to our phones? Or should we wait for the software updates that OP releases via OTA from time to time?
What do folks here do?

APKMirror is owned by the Android Police guys. It's a good place to go other then XDA. You're consideration is correct.
@sarkar_007 - Thanks for the notification. The installation went perfect.

I think these are not 6t specific maybe? Since clock doesn't install and phone installed now crashing.

The original phone app is installed as a system app. If you just installed the "update" as you would any other app, it would not overwrite the original system app. Go into Settings>App & Notifications>Phone. Tap the Disable button. It will prompt you to uninstall updates. Do that and it will roll you back to the system installed version. Then just enable it again.

So, these updates maybe meant for McLaren only, since McLaren's OS version number is different

It's not like that. The updates available on apkmirror are for all OP phones, only thing you have to check is what version of Android they are for. And that is mentioned in the description of each particular APK.
If your phone is on Android 8 then obviously an APK meant for Android 9 will not install on it.
And if after install you find that the particular app is not working or force closing, than use 'uninstall updates' in settings. The app will be restored to factory version.
OP should actually make these updates available through Google Play Store. Then this issue of incompatibility will not arise. Bcoz updates meant for a different version of Android than the one on our phones won't install on the first place.

I have an OP6 with Oxygen 9.09. Don't want to go to Android 10. On Apkmirror there is a file "OnePlus System Update 2.1.2.191121180024.0e716e1" from 28th of february 2020, for Android 7+. What is that ? Is it a security update ? Should I install it on my OP6 ?

Uh no. That is the System Updater. Installing that won't give you the Security Update. You can only get those by Updating to Android 10. Also, even if you try to Install it, it will most probably fail
