How to root le 1s with out king root

There is a YouTube detailed guide..is yours eui5.8??
Eui 5.5 and lollipop can be rooted through king root..try 5-6 times because it is the easiest way..
However if you updated to marshmallow try searching YouTube for le1s eui 5.8 root..
You should unlock bootloader and flash twrp and then root your phone.. Very complicated process.
Hope this helps

Yeah i tried that YouTube method....
Its working but it says selinux is not set permissive..
I tried many ways but i can't use advanced root apps like icon themers etc..

To root le1s (on Android 6, eui 5.8 ) you need a PC to unlock bootloader and flash custom recovery(TWRP) then you can root your phone by flashing magisk or SuperSU.....?

recovery and supersu links for Marshmallow

OK, so after a good hour of searching I finally stumbled on the links for android 6.0 recovery and root. found out the hard way that Marhmallow will not root using any other recovery or supersu... so hopefully this post will pop up first thing for the next guy trying to update.
links for twrp 2.8.7.1 by cpt throwback and beta supersu 2.65
I too have been searching for a while, and all of the classic guides do not not specify if they are good for Marshmallow. I'll give these a try... thanks for posting this!
Edit - These worked Perfectly for me after flashing the official Developer Edition Marshmallow RUU. Thanks Again.

[ZE550KL] Bootloader Unlocked - Still Can't install CM13

Hello, n00b here! so I am having this huge problem in my hands right now.
I unlocked my bootloader in my 1.16.40, after tons and tons of tries.
So after checking that everything was okay, I flashed TWRP recovery and opened it, however it constantly failed to install the latest CM13 version.
So, wrongly I decided to do an advanced wipe and get rid of everything on the internal storage, then I tried to install CM13 again and failed.
at this point, I obviously was stuck between TWRP recovery and Fastboot, which shouldn't be a problem.
Now I don't know what to do, I can't install CM13 because of: assert failed asus.verify trustzone (which I have no idea how to fix)
So, almighty XDA forum members, how can I install CM13 on my cellphone?
PS: forgot to mention I unbricked my cellphone by going back to 1.16.40, I couldn't install 21.40 or any MM version.
Question: Do I actually need to install 21.40 in order to install CM13?
You must in MM base firmware, than u can flash CM13... I think
Yes, you need to install 21.40 to install any CM 13 ROM built after June 14th. I had the same issue. I installed the Asus updates in this order to fix my issue.
- UL-Z00T-WW-1.16.40.763-user.zip
- UL-Z00T-WW-1.17.40.1234-user.zip
- UL-Z00T-WW-21.40.1220-1615-user.zip
- UL-Z00T-WW-21.40.1220-1794-user.zip
After the latest update is installed, you should be able to install CM 13. Hopefully this is helpful.

How to install cm13 give me instruction to do it
If you have a ze550kl, your version is z00L.
On the page https://wiki.cyanogenmod.org/w/Install_CM_for_Z00L follow the directions under "Installing CyanogenMod from recovery" to install CM 13.
If your install fails due to asus.verify_trustzone failures, you will need to update the phones firmware to 21.40.1220 before installing CM 13. My phone did not allow me to update to 21.40.1220 until I updated to 1.17.40. I couldn't update to 1.17.40 until I updated to 1.16.40. The firmware is available through the Asus website.

Error 7 can indicate multiple issues. It could be an incompatible ROM to your hardware. It could also be an incompatible firmware version to the ROM. My issue was incompatible firmware and I had to update it before installing a custom ROM.
Do you get an error similar to this when updating the ROM? "Can't install this M package (Fri Jul 22 04:15:16 CST 2016) L less than 20160426 build (Mon Feb 22 09:53:24 EST 2016)"

Check this
If you're running LP firmware it should fail saying that "asus.verify_trustzone" assert has failed.
In order to update your firmware to MM, you can either flash ASUS MM rom in stock recovery or flash a package that will update your FW using TWRP

Man I already did it many weeks back.
You know I have gone tired of telling this simple fact to everyone, but no one understands that this is the easiest way to installa custom recovery. Even a modified boot image or any modded file can be flashed before flashing the ROM. Only that for APK's, the MD5 checksum is mandate.
So,looks like no need to unlock officially or unofficially then lol.
Spread this post like virus bro, people are trying so hard to unlock their phones officially and at the end of process unlocks unoffiially and gets so much problems because of xiaomi's worst policy of unlocking.
this is really easy and intelligent stuff!

Btw, unlocking does not matter at all, tbh. It does not matter the worst if you are on LBL or ULBL.

does it have to be done with a dev rom?
can't we just flash roms like cm13 etc straight from miflash with custom recovery included, as the guy on second post says? any more details on how to do this?
Is it compulsory to use developer ROM wht can't Ido with stable
Hi, is there any downside with this method compared to officially unlocking bootloader?
Which recovery is better for kate?
Thanks for the great info!

You can flash ONLY official MIUI Stable/Dev ROM using Mi Flash Tool
Has anyone confirmed this?
based on http://forum.xda-developers.com/wiki/Bootloader you need to unlock bootloader since the bootloader will verify (and boot) kernel and recovery.
If this does work, can anyone provide an explanation why?
Wow. Can I use this method for flashing this recovery on Snapdragon device? http://forum.xda-developers.com/red...wrp-install-twrp-flash-supersu-t3462448/page1
Everything I need is a stable MIUI with root access and Xposed

Wow! That's awesome! After this can I flash superSU? If so, which version works best with global dev?
PS: What about OTAs? I supose this will break it, so how can I get MIUI g dev updates?
Sry for this bunch of questions.

Great stuff. Will give it a try once I am home.
My bootloader has never been unlocked. I am waiting for the unlock permission. Now, if I install TWRP using this method, will I be able to flash CM 13 or other kernels?
Worked perfect for me.

Still at Miui 8 but maybe i switch to CM or another Custom Rom

Hi @supercowz, could you please edit the original post?
I don't think official TWRP will work. From the guide, ZCX TWRP was used and you recommended Alka TWRP, which is cofface TWRP based. The common factor between these TWRP is that they are able to bypass dm-verity (built in in settings of ZCX TWRP, cofface based TWRP's flash cracked boot.img automatically). Also, it is important to boot to recovery after flashing the modified fastboot dev else it might cause bootloop. Also official TWRP might cause bootloop.
To all:
I'm still looking for the reason why this method might work. Based on concept, bootloader starts first before recovery so the bootloader will verify if correct recovery is installed before it boots the recovery. Only explanation I can think of is that MiFlash tool and/or fastboot DEV rom is able to fool bootloader that the flashed recovery is acceptable.
To those that have tried this, can you check if your bootloader is still locked? Thanks!

How to root LeTv Le 1S (LeEco Le 1S) [Guide]

Rooting Le 1s With These Easy Steps:-
All you need to do is follow these steps and you will have a rooted Le 1s.
Step 1: Download and install the KingRoot app on your phone. The app is not available from Play Store and you will have to manually download the APK file. Don’t worry if you don’t have unknown sources enables, EUI is intelligent enough to ask you that while you are installing the app.
Step 2: Reboot your phone and the launch the KingRoot app. The app will analyze your phone and then give you a brief insight to whether a root method is available or not. Don’t go on what you see on that screen and continue with the root.
Step 3: The app will look for exploits and take some time to root the device. It might take some time for the app to reach 100% and your phone might also reboot once. If that’s the case, don’t forget to run KingRoot again after the reboot.
Step 4: Once the process is 100% complete you will get the message that the phone is now rooted and believe it or not, that’s about it. You will be able to run rooted apps and manage system files on your device easily.
The KingRoot app will be your Super SU here using which you can manage root access of another app. KingRoot will install another third-party app called Purify and it’s basically an optimizer. The app is not necessary for the root to function and can be removed is removed. Apart from that, you will get auto-run optimizer tool in KingRoot to manage what apps start while your system boots.

If your RR is 6.0+ you can go directly to TWRP (Make sure you have an updated bumped-version too) and flash rom.
So, the right step are:
1. Download rom zip from lineage os website
2. Go to TWRP
3. Format system, data, cache and dalvik
4. Flash rom zip
5. Reboot
If you need play store and google apps you must flash this zip too https://opengapps.org/?api=7.1&variant=nano
If you need root you need to flash this zip too https://download.lineageos.org/extras (14.1 su ARM)
If you have a different version, going back to stock and starting from there is a better idea.:good:

So i take it that i better go back to stock and from there flash the latest version of Lineage, could you very quickly but effectively explain the steps to do that as well?

For most of custom rom you need V30, so... Dont falsh previous firmware else you'll get black screen.

Thank you so much!
Great, i've done everything, and i'm pretty happy now, just have a few other things to ask i hope you're willing to answer.
First, is there a way i can improve reception, i feel sometimes my phone has some kind of problem because one second it catches the carrier, a second later it goes totally no service, it's very weird, maybe a different modem to flash could help that?
And the second thing is, is there a way besides xposed, to customize the navigation bar and few other things like the lock screen shortcuts?
