K5 Note cannot be rooted in Marshmallow(6.0) as of now because marshmallow rooting needs installation of custom recovery first, and no one has yet ported a custom recovery (TWRP CWM etc) for k5note. And porting custom recovery for k5note seems hard too cause the stock firmware has image check parameter, It doesn't flash just any customized image using SP Root tools.
However if you haven't updated it yet to marshmallow, It can be rooted when it is still in Android 5.1 Lollipop by using kingroot 4.50. , and then using Super Sume.

Did anyone get method to root vibe k5 note?

1) You can flash CF Autoroot from Odin.
2) Install TWRP (from @ganesh varma 's thread) through Odin and then flash SuperSU zip from TWRP.

Cm 12/12.1 on Samsung Galaxy tab e 9.6 sm-t560nu

Does anyone know how to flash custom recovery and flash cm12 on tab e? I don't know how to do so and am new to Samsung. I rooted and installed a custom rom on my HTC one mini so I have some experience. Anyone know how? Thanks in advance.
Root is still not available as of yet. Unlocking the bootloader might be impossible, but eventually someone might take the time to "safestrap" this tablet.
I'm just hoping for root at this point, safestrap is just a glorified theme that will slow everything down.

I just bought one of these over the holidays and have also been looking for a way to root. I spent an entire day fiddling around, and was able to get root using kingroot...as long as I didn't reboot. Once I did, it soft bricked it and I had to oden back to the latest (5.1.1) firmware. I ended up rooting with kingroot, stripping out all the bloatware, de-rooted with kingroot and going with that for now. No Xposed, sd boost or adblock (I did find a few ham-fisted workarounds), and now when I boot I get told that it is running a non standard kernal, but it does start. In another thread, someone claimed that they got it working using kingroot and it stuck thru reboots, but I haven't gotten it to work just yet.

Guys this tutorial helped me root & install TWRP recovery i can confirm its 100% working https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PCJ60mgdk0g
Rooting this one is really easy. You have to go into Build Info... tap it like 7 times get your developer options on. Then you have to check two boxes. 1 is OEM unlock and that's very important make sure that it is on an unlocked and then to cut on USB debugging. Then you need to go to CF auto root 3.10.1 and flash TWRP... have a zip file of Superuser on your SD card or internal storage then when you cut TWRP on flash superuser.zip and it will automatically root your device.

There are a lot of root tutorials on google. You just have to search. Try this for instance
http://www.rootupdate.com/2016/08/root-lenovo-k5-note-vibe-without-pc.html?m=1
I think it can be rooted with kingroot app because I saw that on many tutorials for k5. Just be careful while rooting.

Bro. where to look for recovery.img in system and how to extract it from a non rooted system?. Any idea?
Seems like the more prudent among us are waiting for their one year warranty period to get over before rooting their phones. I guess thats okay too, as a strategy. Might be able to resell for more if warranty isnt voided and use the cash to buy a different phone later; thats another alternative.
Also, I am new to this rooting scene, so i have a noob question. Is it possible to "clone" my phone and try rooting its simulation on a different system, to see if the method works or not ? like a testbed of sorts ? Or is cloning different from what I think it should be..
Serious Answers welcome. Facepalms, rofls, lmfaos , eyeroll gifs too
