I see no Forum Topic at XDA about Asus Zenfone Selfie ZD551KL.
So I opened this Topic, for it is a model Zenfone Line 2.
I already have the device.
There is already a Stock Rom for this model phone on Asus Global website.
Please set up a Topic at XDA for Asus Zenfone Selfie ZD551KL.
I can not in any way enter the Fastboot Mode of Zenfone Selfie ZD551KL.
Tightening Button Power more Button Volume - and the screen is frozen.
I have not found the installation Drivers Asus Zenfone Selfie ZD551KL.
- How do I enter Fastboot Mode Zenfone Selfie ZD551KL?
- How do I give the Asus Root Zenfone Selfie ZD551KL?
- How to Unlock Bootloader Asus Zenfone Selfie ZD551KL?
- How do I install CWM Recovery or TWRP the Asus Zenfone Selfie ZD551KL?
I found the Stock Room of Zenfone Selfie ZD551KL with Qualcoom SnapDragon,
unlike ZenFone 5 and ZenFone 2 with Intel.
I not found in the Stock Rom files, fastboot.img, recovery.img, the dnx and ifwi.
Just found the file boot.img.
And the Rom brings a file Dat of 2.80 GB
I not found in any store for sale the Asus Cover
Only found in sites as Aliexpress Cover Wallet style.
The most interesting would be the Asus Flip Cover Original that possesses the
Circle in front allowing use cover Asus.
So it seems there is an Asus model known as: "ZenFone Selfie MyView"
Could anyone help?

It's really true..
And so far does not even exist any development for the Asus Zenfone Selfie ZD551KL.
More or I could have here at XDA
have and want are totally different things , the overall adherence to the unit is restricted consider that the first tools may come in 4-5 months in the future .

Even Bigger problem is that the bloatware on the device is driving me nuts. even if any rooting solution to this device would be out sooner, i would be the happiest one.
the method would work to open the bootloader Zenfone 2 in Zenfone selfie ?
The SoC arent the same (ZF2 Atom Z38xx X ZF Selfie QC SD615) but you can try. Unlock bootloader could work with the same commands. Root wont work (at least using CWM temporary) 'cause the hardware isnt compatible.
I also have a zenfone selfie 32GB 3GB RAM
You can enter.
Fastboot by
Holding volume up and power.
Or entering
"adb reboot bootloader " in cmd
Recovery by
Holding volume down and power.
Or entering
"adb reboot recovery" in cmd
Unlike zenfone 2,4,5,6 there is no droidboot menu on zenfone selfie..
When enter fastboot mode you will see a text in top on the screen
On Asus splash screen with a text "Fastboot...!"
I tried to root it with zenfone root kit, It didn't work.. Something about locked device, I'm guessing it will work after unlocking boatloader. (Idk how to)
Install asus PC link, it will automatically install USB drivers and all

I've tried all the methods and could not enter the fastboot
the Zenfone Selfie. Because I did not see this in the Stock Rom
The Stock Rom Zenfone Seifie is different from Zenfone 2, Zenfone 5, etc ..
Only even Shakalaka User agent to help ..
More the worst is I do not know how to communicate with him.
One would inform this Selfie the problem to see if he gets a solution to the Root Zenfone Selfie.
I would like to share the response of the contact support developer sofware ASUS this day .
According to the company release made yesterday in the apk to unlock the bootloader Zenfone 2 , was the company's plans , because the appliance is the flagship market .
The Zenfone Selfie not this the company plans to have a tool for unlocking, which in my view is a small business attitude and totally different from the ASUS PC Hardware I know.
The future for ZD551KL is undefined and believe to have the device SU tools, and TWRP or custom rom , will depend on the community's collective help .
What in my view is terrible because the device offers excellent settings to be maximized.
I 'm just one of thousands , but if everyone here at XDA who have a little knowledge can help in this task , we can make this most spectacular device than it already is .

Hi, i apologise if this topic is present in another part of the forum yet (yes i'm new in this family ) but I have a very annoying problem. One month ago, I bought from ebay a selfie but I recently discovered that my version of software is a cn one, and for this reason I won't ever been able to receive marshmallow's upgrade and probably to solve some problem with google play services too. That's why I deceded to try to flash my rom in order to change with a custom ww' s one. But I didn0t find any tutorial on internet. Can you help me, please??

I succeed root my phone using Kingroot, on second hit.
Unlock bootloader using official unlock app.
flashed TWRP using flashify (playstore)
then changed kingroot with supersu using terminal emulator app.

Okay. but I Unlocked bootloader with official app, flashed TWRP in fastboot, flashed SuperSu in TWRP
btw right now, I'm on CyanogenMod 14.1, Android 7.1 Nougat
I have bricked Nexus Player.
Now this device with erased recovery and droidboot (fastboot). I am trying to repair it by using guide for Zenphone2 and ifwi.bin from original firmware.
White led is constantly lightning. Nexus Player sometimes detected as Moorefield device, sometimes not. I can enter Moorefield bootloader by shorting testpoints near flash memory chip.
droidboot_dnx.img.POS_sign.bin and dnx_fwr.bin from xFSTK_ZE551ML-sal358-amtech.vn.zip for Zenphone 2 - [Guide] Un-brick both (Soft/Hard) bricked Zenfone 2 ze550ml/ze551ml
OTA update with original ifwi.bin for Nexus Player - fugu-ota-2665432-f0f8fea4.zip
I need RAW image for NP or original files for recovering.
Maybe someone can make RAW image from working device.

I get your issue entirely. If you know what files you need dumped, Telegram me (same username as XDA), or Hangouts me (I don't look at XDA PM's too often, and the layout is awful imho).
@Pasha T. could tell me if the guide worked and if you could get droidboot (fastboot) on your nexus device? im having the same problem with mine

I think I'm having a similiar problem. NP is detected as Moorefield for a couple of seconds and then the driver fails to install.
I never erased recovery or fastboot though.
I have a bricked redmi 3s prime. It is having locked bootloader.
First I had search for local repair center to fix it. But the shop guy said me to replace motherboard of device. But I'm not sure what is the exact issue with device, because I can still use recovery option as well fastboot.
I'm bit technical, so I thought it is software issue. So I thought to un-brick it myself. So I had tried almost many methods to un-brick it but not getting any success till yet.
The methods I have tried mentioned below.
1) From recovery, simply wipe data storage and try to turn on device. Waited for 20 mins on mi logo screen. No Success.?
2) Enter into fastboot mode (Device detected as some random string on PC) and simply try to flash both fastboot roms (Global and Developer) using MiFlash beta Tool. Even fastboot mode unable to flash those official roms. No Success.?
3) Enter into EDL mode using TestPoint method (Device detected as COM6 on PC). Again try with both roms MiFlash. After flashing each rom I had waited over 30 mins on MI logo screen, but nothing happens. No Success.?
One thing common while trying all above methods is that battery power less than 10%. I can not full charge device, because there is no way to turn off device if I'm not succeed with my steps.
So is there anything I'm still missing? Can someone help me with this?

I have an Asus Zenfone Max Pro M1 device. Few hours back, it shutdown suddenly:crying: and i cannot reboot it. What all i tried are:
1) When i try to Restart, it shuts down after showing asus logo.
2) When i try to access Recovery Mode by pressing Volume Down and Power Button, it shuts down after showing asus logo.
3) I can Only Access CSC FASTBOOT MODE. But no Developer options enabled.
NB: Please note that Developer options is disabled and usb debugging is OFF.:crying:
All tutorials on web says i need to reinstall rom for wich i need to unlock bootloader which will eventually delete my data.
Can someone help me on how i can get my datas back in this situation?
You can't unlock bootloader until you enable OEM unlock in developer options, so there is no method to get your data. You need to wipe
