[Q] Bricked LG G2 in fastboot

Hi,
I'm in serious troubles with my LG G2 (D802) Europe version (bought in Italy): after flashing a custom ROM, I pressed on "reboot" button of the recovery and the phone rebooted with a totally black screen and a white text at the upper left corner
"[1660] Fastboot mode started".
If I press on the power button for a while, it restarts and goes back to the same screen. If I press power button *and* volume up, the same. The same by pressing with volume down or pressing all the buttons.
If I connect to the PC it writes on the screen 5 more lines:
[509280] -- reset --
[509290] -- portcharge --
[513820] -- reset --
[513830] -- portcharge --
[513900] fastboot: processing commands
I read on Internet that a similar issue has been solved by doing:
fastboot erase laf
fastboot flash laf laf.img
fastboot reboot
but in my case after the reboot the screen goes back to the "Fastboot mode started". BTW, "fastboot devices" fires out:
???????????? fastboot
but fastboot can still do something on the phone, like flashing the laf, the boot, the recovery... in fact I flashed aboot, boot, recovery, laf but after reboot the phone was still stuck.
Is the devices completely lost or there's something I can do to recover it ?
thanks !
The same problem

Fastboot 'waiting for device' asus zenfone 2 ze500kl

Hi !
I have a Zenfone 2 ZE500KL.
I installed adb and fastboot following this very helpful post and videos : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2588979
when I type adb devices on command line I can see my phone
but when I type fastboot device I get this 'waiting for device' message.
also, when I want to enter fastboot mode using the power button + volume up, I get stuck on the asus logo screen with the message 'Fastboot mode !!! long press power button to restart system'
I already tried to reinstall the firmware, doesn't look to change anything.
I'd really like to know how to get through this as I want to root my phone.
Thanks for your help !

You are in OEM fastboot mode most likely, clear it with:
fastboot oem fb_mode_clear
And then reboot... Should go straight to OS. Otherwise, include a getvar all, it will tell the reason for going to fastboot.

Much thanks that worked .
Mine reboots into recovery every time. It doesnt matter if i power it up, or just restart, but he restarts into recovery every time, and to start it i need to reboot into bootloader (from recovery) and then start it from a bootloader.
Will the same fix work? Also, where do i type that?

Your problem is different. You need to use ADB with phone hooked to your PC, and execute the following commands.
Code:
adb devices
adb shell
dd if=/dev/zero of=/dev/block/platform/soc/7824900.sdhci/by-name/misc
or execute the last line in a terminal shell inside TWRP.
Code:
dd if=/dev/zero of=/dev/block/platform/soc/7824900.sdhci/by-name/misc

Stuck in Fastboot Reboot Loop. Fastboot Reason: reboot mode set to fastboot

Last week i received a notification the 8.1 Oreo update was available for my Moto g4 Plus.
Downloaded the package and hit the install button. My moto restarted in order to perform the installation.
However, since i had TWRP installed and thus bootloader unlocked, the phone restarted in recovery mode.
Downloaded a TWRP 8.1 rom and installed it without a problem.
Unfotunately everytime I restart my Moto it starts up in fastboot mode.
Bootloader log shows: Fastboot Reason: reboot mode set to fastboot
From bootloader I can start the Android OS, but i wan't to get rid of this reboot mode
I tried tools like "Android Multi Tool" and "Free ReiBoot for Android" but this reboot mode can not be cleared.
Anyone encountered this problem and how did you fix it.
Thanks in advance
Try this:
Reboot your device to the bootloader.
Connect your device to your computer and open an ADB terminal on your computer.
In the ADB terminal, type 'fastboot devices' without quotes. Press Enter - your device should respond with its serial number.
If so, then type 'fastboot oem fb_mode_clear' without quotes. Press Enter, then reboot your device.
That fb_mode_clear command seems to clear a flag that keeps your device booting into fastboot (usually for OTA updates).
I have Tried that option as i found it as one of the possible solutions for this issue.
the clear_fb unfortunately does not remove the fastboot mode on my moto.

[HOW TO] TicWatch E2/S2 Open Fastboot/Recovery + Unlock/Lock Bootloader + TWRP

Hello guys, I have a Ticwatch E2 and today i softbricked it and i cannot find how to open fastboot or recovery mode directly from watch not from adb (adb reboot bootloader etc.)
so i was checking some websites and then i found how to open bootloader on LG G Watch R so i tried it and it worked
So here is How to Open Fastboot mode
Turn off the watch and then turn it on normally OR Press and hold Power button for about 10 sec. to reboot it.
Keep holding power button and wait for TICWATCH logo to appear on screen.
Start tapping the screen with two fingers, one on the top left and one on the bottom right ,while pressing and holding the power button
Release power button and stop tapping screen after you hear three vibrations.
So now you are in fastboot mode, short tap to power button changes option and holding power button selects option.
Also here is how to open Recovery Mode
Do the exact steps to enter Fastboot, after entering fastboot short press power button to change option and find Recovery Mode,
Then press and hold power button to select it.
Watch will reboot and recovery mode should open, if you stuck at Android Robot and recovery menu is missing,
Just press and hold power button an swipe screen up and release power button, menu should appear.
swipe up / down and left/ right to use recovery mode.
How to Unlock Bootloader Lock
Warning! All data will be wiped after unlocking bootloader.
Open Fastboot Mode and put your watch on the charging dock, connect it to pc and open command prompt then type
"fastboot oem unlock" and there will be some warning appears on cmd then type the same command again to unlock bootloader.
How to ReLock Bootloader Lock
Warning! All data will be wiped after unlocking bootloader.
Open Fastboot Mode and put your watch on the charging dock, connect it to pc and open command prompt then type
"fastboot oem lock" and there will be some warning appears on cmd then type the same command again to lock bootloader.
How to open TWRP
Download TWRP
Open Fastboot and Unlock Bootloader Lock,
then type "fastboot boot twrp_ticwatchE2-S2.img" to boot twrp.
Warning! Use it carefully.
MTP DOESNT WORKS use adb shell, adb pull or adb push commands.
I got my hands on a cheap Ticwatch S2 and i asking myself, what is the benefit of TWRP/root on a smartwatch?
I mean, ok i can make backup in TWRP or flash things, but it seems that there is no custom rom for this model, so root seems to be the only thing to achieve. But what can I do with root on a smartwatch?
