As i can see on gsmarena, Galaxy J5 (2016) (J510xx, J510FN your model) doesnt have official 5.1.1 lollipop, so you cant downgrade.
Reflash the stock rom.

No, you dont need to root.
Follow these steps:
1) Download and install the proper DRIVERS for your phone (it should be done automatically when you connect the phone to the PC).
2) The phone should have at least 50% battery!
3) Download ODIN program. I'm using v3.09
4) Download the stock rom for J510FN from here: http://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/database/SM-J510FN/ . If you want to download faster, then use SamFirm: http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-tab-s/general/tool-samfirm-samsung-firmware-t2988647 (even if its deprecated, it works fine).
5) Extract ODIN archive and run it (.exe file).
6) Extract the stock rom .zip archive and you will get a xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx.tar.md5 file (xxxxxxxxxx= name of the stock rom)
7) Restart the phone in DOWNLOAD MODE, by holding Power + Home + Volume down buttons same time.
A "Warning" window will apear, now press the "vol up" button to get "DOWNLOAD MODE" and conect the phone to the pc
If the ODIN see the phone, on the "ID:COM"line(midle-left) you will see "0:[COMx]"(x= port number)
8) On the ODIN press "AP" button, a window will apear, search in it the location of the xxxxxxxxxxxxxx.tar.md5, select it and open.
9)Now press "START" button and wait until ODIN finish.
When it finish, the phone will boot automatically and in ODIN will apear a big green PASS.

Install the latest verson of kies on you computer.
Then in kies under "Tools" choose "firmware upgrade and initialisation".
Then give you model number "SM-N910?", next give serial number of the phone (you can find that on the sticker behind the battery in your phone).
Then you get a message that the "device can be initialised to its original setting"
Press ok and ok again. Then put your phone in download mode and connect to the computer and press "start upgrade".
Not working @dewingerd
Kies doesnt detect my phone. Bt drivers are installed correctly. It only opens in downloading mode

Happened to me also 2 days ago.
Your mobile only can enter download mode ? but when u try to go to recovery or just power it , nothing happened , right ??
Well , you should do as @dewingerd said carefully do these steps :
Initially you need to upgrade kies to the latest version (mine is : 3.2.15072_2) or this will fail cuz it failed with me the first time.
1) take of your battery , and write down your Serial number .
2) open kies first.
3) open mobile in download mode then connect it . KIES WILL NOT RECOGNIZE THE MOBILE
4) Choose : Tools >> Firmware upgrade and initialisation
5) Kies will ask you about your mobile name , TYPE : SM-N910C , ALL CAPITAL LETTERS OR KIES WILL NOT RECOGNIZE IT
6) if you did not type the name correctly , you will get a message that kies does not know this name , so start again , type SM-N910C
7) then you will get another box asks for your serial number , enter it (Not case sensitive).
8) Kies then will inform you that it is going to prepare the phone and download the firmware for your device and that you have to connect it in download mode.
9) unplug your mobile , plug it again and click start.
10) Now the process is going to take a while depending on your internet connection (downloading about 2GB), do not unplug the phone and do not allow your laptop/PC to sleep.
11) cautions that I read before : you better not connect or disable any usb devices during the process.
12) suddenly , you will hear you mobile starting up again , congratulations
Q: What about my data , apps and stuff ?
A: All is gone except for those on your External card , sorry , nothing can be done for that (May be you should remove your SDcard first just in case).
Good Luck

thank for your quick reply, my variant is n910c ans yes i can still install recovery. I upgraded from 5.0.1 to 5.1.1 poland using odin and everything works well. I flashed Googy N4 kernel using TWRP 2.8.1.1 and everything still works well. My problem began when I made a backup of my 5.1.1 stock rom and flash infinity rom which end up in bootloop. So I tried restoring my backup but whenever it got to DATA RESTORING it keeps failing and flashing back the 5.1.1 poland stock firmware through odin keeps ending up on the SAMSUNG boot animation screen.

Well whatever , TWRP 2.8.1.1 won't work with 5.1.1 bootloader , try TWRP 2.8.7.0

GoogyMax N4 v2.0. I have tried TWRP 2.8.7.0 but still the same.
After flashing stock firmware using odin, on my stock recovery i found this error
"E:failed to mount /efs (invalid argument)
dm-verity verification failed.......
need to check drk first......."
I have search through the internet but i can't get a clear picture of what it meant.
Does anyone has an idea of what it meant and how to resolve the error?

Hi again ,
Looks like a locked phone and was unlocked in a wrong way or something like that.
read this thread , looks like the same problem.
in short , you need the 4 files firmware to be flashed via oden and as stated in page 2 there , you flash them without pit file.
You can find the 4-files firmware here but this is not 5.1.1 firmware , give it a try , if failed too , search for 5.1.1 4-files firmware.
here is another site but I do not really know if they are 4-files or the single file .
Good luck.

Try to download the appropriate firmware with Samfirm_reborn0.3.6.2 you'll find on Github. Unpack the .zip and start as admin.
Insert full device name and region and additionally check "binary nature" box.
It should download the latest! ROM multiple file format from Samsungs servers directly, at least it did for all my 7 devices (just in case) before I rooted them.
BUT I know that for N910V nothing is found and don't know about S model.
KIES I never used as I read it sometimes conflicts with Odin.
If files are downloaded flash with Odin adding the different files in their input fields. (selve explaining names)

Newbie Needs ur Help :(

Hello,
I am Complete New in Android Root etc... , I was a iPhone Jailbreaker which everything was mega easy with just some clicks. Now I got a Samsung Galaxy Note 3 "SH9005" on "Lollipop 5.0" Version.
I have Rooted it and using "Freedom" everything works fine and I thought that is everything what about "Rooting" is but I found out Yesterday that there are more Awesome things I can do with "Root" But I dont know how, I have watched many Videos but non of them works or I am Stupid to Understand it xD so I Joined this Awesome Community to look for Help, I am Sure someone know everything about it
I Need you guys Help for.
°How to Install "xposed framework"
°How to Install "Custom Recovery"
I have tryed to Install a Custom Recovery, but everytime I wanna go to Recovery Mode it shows me the Downloading Mode
My best advice for you is to Google "How to root Galaxy Note 3" and the same for "installing exposed" and "custom recovery" and read, read and then read some more. The info is there. Do your research or risk messing up your note 3.
Not trying to be difficult but you really need to do some research.
I have done many research but didnt found anything which is helpfull.
My Note 3 is Rooted (Lollipop 5.0) but the Custum recovery and the other I cant figuer
Out how to Install that, that wjy I am asking if anyone got a Idee
That's odd, when I Google how to install "custom recovery galaxy note 3" I get all kinds of info.
If you search Custom Recovery for Note 3 on Google, there will be lots of info you can find there.
For example, for the TWRP Recovery, there is a installation guide in the official website.
I am also a newbie in the Android World but I have try hard to Google first before asking questions.
Hope this helps.
Look at Youtube videos for how to flash custom recovery or eventually rom flashing etc. (ones with lots of likes). They are alot more visual and easy to follow. Sometimes some of the threads in XDA have confusing language.

Get twrp from here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2494245. Download the 1 for KK/Lollipop.
Get odin of any version.
Enter download mode. Flash the twrp using odin. If you're not sure how to use odin just google a little bit.

I didnt Found any Download Link for "KK/Lollipop" in the Topic as in their Website, but I have Downloaded from their Website, the TWRP for "Samsung Galaxy Note 3 International Qualcomm (hlte)" and Flashed it through Odin, in Odin it says "Pass (Green)" but when I try to Boot on Recovery Mode I get to > Downloading... Do not turn off target!! < and Up on the Corner it says
"Could not do normal boot.
ODIN MODE
Product Name : SM-N9005
Current Binary : Custom
System Status : Custom
Reactivation Lock : OFF
KNOX Warranty VOID : 0x1 (4)
Qualcomm Secureboot: Enable (CSB)
RP SWREV: S2, T2, R2, A3, P3
Secure Download : Enable
UDC START"
But the Phone Boots Normal, and works Normal too just when I am trying to enter Recovery Mode I am getting this Message.
The Way I have Done :
1. I have Downloaded from Orginal Site of TeamWin the .tar file for "Samsung Galaxy Note 3 International Qualcomm (hlte)"
2. I have Shut Down my Phone and Booted to Download Mode
3. I have Connected my Phone to PC
4. I have Run Odin "As Admin"
5. I have but the .tar File in the "AP" Section
6. I have Uncheckt "Auto Boot"
7. I have Pressed Start and got Green Color and says "Pass"
8. I have Removed the Battery of my Phone and putted it back in
9. I have tryed to boot into Recovery Mode
10. I get this Message which I wrote it up
I tryed to leave the Buttons when the Samsung Logo shows but it is too fast it is like 0,5sec and it shows me the Message which I wrote it up there...

How are you trying to start recovery? there are two key combinations for download mode and recovery mode, pwr + vol up + home is recovery mode, and pwr + vol down + home is download mode if I remember right. Give a try to both combinations and I hope it works. If your note 3 doesn't boot properly, you should try to repair it, first with kies and, if that doesn't work, flashing a new rom.
Probably you've flashed wrong file. Find the 1 with hlte 4.4. The latest is 2.8.7.0.

I restarted it ,tried everything from safe mode to factory reset , didn't boot , tried to flash one more time , it was stuck at connecting ,
so I made my phone brick , what can I do to fix this if I even can ?
I know im idiot I had 0 skill with this but I was saving for a long time to get this phone and this shall not be our last moment.
Model SM-G935F
I was using root from rootjunkysdl site, (Samsung_G935x_EX_Rooted-BOOT.zip)
I would realy appreciete any help since on reddit and android central my thread is ignored.

Go to sammobile and download the latest firmware for your phone. Hold volume down, home and power to boot into download. Connect phone to PC and use Odin (if Linux use Heimdall) to Flash the firmware. If you need more guidance you can find info on here or Google about flashing with Odin on our device.

UN-CHECK the MODEM.BIN from the stock firmware you are about to flash. YOU DONT WANT TO FLASH THE STOCK MODEM!!! UNLOCK WILL NOT WORK!
After flash is complete, it is done!!! Enjoy!

I had to buy it from some shady middle eastern website but I found it.
Edit: Seems the rar file had a password. I'm trying to unlock it and see if it actually works before reposting.
Edit Edit: Fixed! https://minevolt.net/downloads/COMB..._REV00_user_mid_noship_MULTI_CERT.tar.md5.rar

Thank you for your reply, but I cant flash new fw because my PC dont see phone and phone itself cant go to .proper download mode, only to this fail screen. I have drivers installed and PC and odin sees other galaxy s7 so its probably not driver issue..
