Ok so, I'm searching since 2 weeks how to do it.
First of all, I tried to update to marshmallow my P8 lite ALE-LV1C33B190, and didn't work.
After getting some informations, I learned that if was because my phone was rooted and so was modified ( I have TWRP for the recovery )
So I searched some infos, and learned that I needed to unbrick my phone, like to flash the original recovery of this phone ?
Problem ? I never found this recovery / firmware i don't know how it's called, for my C33B190
So I'm searching someone to link me to a download, and explaining me how to do it....
Is it right that after doing all this, I'll can update my phone ?

Hello, i am looking for help to find out what i need to set up/have in order to flash a custom rom.
All i have is stock G2 with the latest update, phone model is LG-D802, android version is 4.4.2 and it not rooted.
I know first off i need to root the damn thing, but if any of you could point out some kind of post or guide with some kind of step by step info of how to root and after that how to continue with a flash of rom that would be awesome.
I`ve spend some time around the forum looking for such post but couldnt find one, and i am kinda scared to do this on my own since i`ve soft bricked a lot of my old devices.

easiest method, is to use the KDZ method (huge thread on it here) to get back to jelly bean, then download towleroot. one click root.
Hi! recently i found a custom recovery for my blu studio 5.0 lte phone that doesnt has any operative system. The problem is that i cant found any rom to install. I found a rom of a chinese duplicate of the phone that could run but the problem is that when i'm trying to instal with the TWRP recovery it appears a message that says "it cant install it into a blu cellphone". I know that i can install these rom because before bricking the phone, i have installed that rom and it worked!
I would be very grateful if someone tells me how to install that chinese rom

Though I don't have an answer for you, I'd like to ask you where you found the custom recovery. I've been searching for hours and can't seem to find any! I bought the same smartphone 3 days ago and I want to upgrade it to Android 5.0

Start by reading all the threads and guides around here. Start by understanding how different flashing/update procedures work.
Otherwise, just following what some random dude says you should do you will find yourself with a brick in no time.

I started this post because I couldn't find info about the Asus Zenfone V Live (V500KL).
I used this phone for a day and the wifi was fine, I did a factory reset because I was going to gift it to someone and the wifi didn't work anymore. Same thing happended with 3 devices (same model).
I tried using the software upgrade assistant from Asus and verizon, it downloaded the software and re installed it apparently but it didn't work.
Do you know if this can be fixed or if I can install a custom rom on this one? If installing a custom rom is possible, can I use these from the Zenfone 5 ?

Hey. I'm in the same situation, too, but I have a Zenfone V (V520kl). I happened to pass by these links to take you to AutoRoot Tools to install TWRP and one of the following custom ROMs to your phone (the following are also YouTube Links):

I tried the AutoRoot .apk in the comments, but it told me to download an app and do something in it to move on. I did exactly that, but it wouldn't let me. Then I went to these websites, but these download websites want you answer a stupid survey for a reward to move on. And there's no other way to download a ROM to these phones. Also, I don't know about ROMs for the Zenfone V (V500KL), but there apparently are some for the V520KL. But you can find out if there are some for yours with AutoRoot Tools. You think you can answer one of these questions to download AutoRoot Tools for Windows? If so, upload the Windows zip you receive here so I can get a custom ROM too? Thanks, man. can anybody please tell me how can i downgrade the bootloader of my galaxy s8? its been updated and since then i cannot install android 7.0, i only can use 8.0.0 which i don't really like it.
i want to downgrade the bootloader and install 7.0, or, if this is not possible i just want to reinstall the current bootloader, i think it has some problems. i tried to downgrade it once (not knowing if it possible or not) and i got a fail message in odin. i'm that type who doesn't like errors at all and i just want to reinstall the bootloader corectly. thx

hi. thx, but i did this right (like in the video) many times, and it worked perfectly. now is not working cuz the bootloader was updated, and it won't let me downgrade the firmware anymore. i am still trying to find a way but i don't know if is possible.
i am searching a way to downgrade bootloader and then downgrade the firmware, but i dunno if is possible to downgrade bootloader once it was updated.

I have searched the whole web. but, I haven't find the solution to downgrade the bootloader for Binary 6. Well, my phone's OS is dead after upgrading to pie. So, apparently the only way for me and to others who are facing the similar issue is to wait until someone releases Binary 6 combination firmware for SM-G950FD.
Good news: It's easy to get your phone running if your bootloader is not upgraded to binary 6. Cuz, Binary 5 firmwares and combination files are available out there and they are 100% working unless your MB is dead.
Note: I have flashed following stock firmwares successfully through ODIN [INS-G950FXXU6DSK9-20191231094010 and INS-G950FXXS6DTA1-20200120123810] yet no luck. Can't boot the OS. Tried to root the phone, cant able to flash the custom recovery. Nothing just works.
Someone, please tag me if ever finds U6 combination file. That's the only hope to bring back my phone to life.
