like chipset and gpu
so that roms can be ported easily
porting note 7 will be little difficult but
if any other samsung device hasving similar specs like galaxy a3 2015 then the rom can be ported to this
also if galaxy a3 2015 receives marshmallow then porting will be easy

Galaxy j5 2015 same spec except screen size and camera

mygalaxya's Note 7 PORT package for A500FU works on A300FU, although you need to set the DPI to 240 manually.

But theme not work good, only icon and wallpaper change. if someone port j5 rom for a3fu i think is better because theme store work very well, change everything

Hello guys i have been searching for Galaxy E5 roms and i didn't find anything except cyanogenmod but it has some bugs anyway can anyone port Galaxy J5 rom to E5 ? since both use the same specs so we can use the new theme store which changes the whole UI not just the icons and wallpapers thanks in advance

I tried but failed...
Looks like J5 have 64 bits android lollipop. So we need to compile a 64 bit kernel, maybe we can then port it.
i m install my samsung e5 in cyanogenmod but no network search, insert sim card how to solve????? please help

i know i just wanna the new touchwiz launcher on my phone

probably wont work cuz in my books s5 is a 64 bit device and j5 is a 32 bit but not too sure.

J5 2015 has 64bit SoC and I don't think that this edge panel depends on this.
But acts as 32-bit

Better use Galaxy Grand Prime. It has a ton of stable roms with 0 bugs. Nd yeah obviously same specs. :good:
Porting Nougat nd booting it up is hard. Tell me if you're successful.

Why porting TouchWiz? Better port stock, also to make a port you need to have similar specs. And the A5 does not have the same specs as a A60XX
EDIT: Samsung uses Exynos and flagship Snapdragon CPU's. Not a budget Snap 410

I've been searching for a long time for a ROM that's not a customization of the Samsung "touchwizzy" ROMs.
in particular AOSP, Lineage, RR, .. etc
I couldn't find any of them anywhere
I even tried to learn how to port ROMs and port Lineage 14.1 to my device but I couldn't find The device tree and vendor.
Please help

Edit: oh sorry there are no custom Roms for j5 yet just tw based ones. What type of CPU is in that device? I'm sure if lineage is ported to a device of the same chipset then a port would be possible

Same as galaxy j3 2017. Try going to the j3 forum and pm one of the devs there. Seeing as it is the same SoC it shouldn't be a big deal
