Incompatible/unsupported apps:
Many app developers do not support this device anymore. You have three options:
Use previous versions of the app which were compatible with this device.
(APKMirror.com hosts many previous versions of apps.)
Try the incompatible app anyways. It may run under NEON emulation. Emulation is very slow. The ideal way is to use previous versions of the app which are compatible with this device.
Contact the app developer and ask them to maintain support for Tegra 2 devices.
Installation:
Backup all data
Install TWRP 3.0 or newer
Wipe cache, dalvik cache, system, data
Install the ROM
Optional steps:
- Install gapps pico
- Install phh Superuser
Boot the ROM
Enable on screen keyboard by toggling "Show input method"

Got an error? Is something not working for you?
I cannot see what your problem is from here. Save and upload the system logs from your device so that I can see what happening on your device.
How to save system logs:
Root the device.
Install SysLog.
Reboot the system.
Reproduce the problem.
Open Syslog app and save the Kernel Log and Main Log.
Send me the log files stored in /sdcard/Syslog.
Share the files on Dropbox or another similar site.
Then PM me a link to the files. Please describe exactly what the issue is.

I don't have this device but it's more or less the same as the Galaxy Tab 10.1 which I do have.
Please send me logcat and kernel logs so we can verify that things are working properly.

Initial thoughts: WOW!!! Performance is great. Took quite some time to install then boot up but once it started it worked really well. Gonna root and try over clocking. Will post screenshots as well. A million thanks to you for this.

Overclocking hasn't been enabled yet but performance is good enough without it. For root to work you need to install the Phh Superuser app from the Play Store. Overall solid and stable. screenshots attached.
PS: screenshots via adb does not work but doing it physically on the device works fine.

Use Chrome. I don't usually use it but it does address the lag that's in the stock browser. Both cameras work for me, even the flash works fine.

My tab is a p5(with3g). I installed p5wifi twrp 3.0 then formated all to f2fs, flashed the rom, pico gapp, rooted. I user kernel audiutor to change cpu governor to interactive, io sched to deadline, enable ksm and set read ahead to 1024kb. Plus i downloaded tons of apps. Here is what ive seen so far:
-using kernel audiutor you cant overclockthe cpu or manage gpu freq
-both cameras are working fine until switvh to video mode then the camera app will crash
-chrome browser, ofcourse wont work and neither does microsoft office so i use firefox and kingsoft office
-youtube cant stream videos over 480p smoothly, but thats fine to me
-the tab can play 1080p offline video with software acceleration on mx player, with some lags obviously
-twrp 3.0 can be connected dirrectly to pc like a normal android, it even work with android file transfer on mac
-i installed tons of apps like facebnook, messenger, viber, firefox, twc, mxplayer,...... even avast anti virus and the performance is great, even wayyyy more awesome then stock 4.0.4, especialy the multitasking and slit screen is working good without a hiccup
-the animation is still a bit laggy and not the smoothest one but its acceptable
-this tab can still use multiple apps at once without being too laggy
-the batery report very correct and can be used constantly for 4 hours including download through wifi
-despite i have installed so many apps on the tab but it never keeps me waiting for a webpage to load and if no app running in foreground, it will idle at ~310mb of ram free
-lastly, i used asus zenui launcher on this tab(got from playstore) and it feels wayyyy faster and more beautiful than any other light launcher u put on this tab
=> bottom line: this rom plus twrp 3.0 made this tab felt so alive like never before. A VERY SPECIAL THANKS TO decaft for all of these but sadly, i m a teenager in vietnam so i cant donate any to you sorry.
Ps:this reply was written on p5 with android 7.0 and firefox browser.

chrome 49 works

For some reason I have lost the placeholder icons and app drawer icon on the home screen if the tablet is in landscape mode.
In portrait mode they magically appear.
Reverse to landscape and they are gone.

Please do share your setup for smooth performance and you can also share your status bar expansion hack with the developer to make the status bar pull down more functional
@decatf you are a genius sir

tried flashing the ROM with the latest open gapps 7.0 6th Oct and the google play services keeps FCing on the setup itself. Cannot go ahead with the setup :/
maybe the new play services 9.8.75 is to blame

Youtube and googleplay force close everytime. I have factory reset but it still happens. I have not tried other apps.

Code:
adb reboot recovery
(OR USE ROOT TOOL BUTTON TO DO SAME)
3. FLASH THE ROM ZIP THROUGH CLOCKWORKMOD RECOVERY (WIPING OPTIONAL, BUT RECOMMENDED).
4. IF ROM DOES NOT BOOT, RETURN TO STOCK WITH ROOT TOOL, UPDATE TO LATEST FIRMWARE WITH MOTOCAST, RE-ROOT, THEN TRY AGAIN.
Included:
-1.7.10 (same as 1.7.12) base (contains Golf)
-Rooted

-Searching market (or google search). No known fix exists yet, that I'm aware of. Added Market Search apk to circumvent this issue.

Frequently Asked Questions:
Q: How do I install this Rom?
A: Flash through ClockWorkMod recovery directly from your ACTV. This rom is *NOT* in image format, so flashing with the image flasher will *NOT* work.
Q: How do I install a different launcher?
A: Either sideload through ADB, or from the market (search via Market Search app).
Q: How do I load from the market?
A: Turn on WiFi, open it, sign in, and download; Either from your "my apps" area, or using the Market Search app. Searching the market directly won't work.
Q: My widgets won't stay (or show up to place on the screen), what can I do?
A: Make sure your launcher is not installed on the SD card in the settings. Use the launcher to make a shortcut on the home screen to the Applications area in settings, find your app, and change it. This should fix the issue, and is relatively easy to do.
Q: When I plug my ACTV into my computer, I can't get Motocast to show up. What's wrong?
A: Nothing, your ACTV is in ADB mode. You can't do both ADB and Motocast at the same time, so open the adb manager app on your actv and "Stop ADB" to enable USB mode. When you're done, if you want to start ADB again, just "start ADB" in the app.
Q: How do I reboot into recovery?
A: Open the ADB Manager app, and press the button to reboot into recovery.
Q: How do I change Launchers?
A: Double tap start button on first run, and DO NOT select "Use Default". This way, whenever you go "Home", you can easily select which launcher you wish to use.
Q: Does this Rom include the stock MotoACTV software also?
A: Yes. Both stock ACTV and stock Android launchers are included, along with all the stock software (even Golf).
Q: Superuser doesn't work, how do I fix it?
A: Open root tool, and select the "Root Only" button. You don't need the bootloader, only to re-root. Not sure why, but root breaks upon flashing in older versions, and this fixes it.
Q: Power Control Widget doesn't shut off Wifi. How do I turn it off?
A: Zeam's widget will not shut off wifi after setting the timeout to 10 minutes in version 1.2.0 T2. Use Wifi Manager instead, it works just fine. Menu > Disable Wifi.
Whats some features of this rom? is it compatible with more apps than youre previous rom? What is different from the DPRom released on 1/3/13? Does it include a launcher?
It's a work in progress. I don't know yet. I'm working on this, a galaxy s3 rom, and several other projects at the same time.

I'm still working on it. There's a LOT still to do here. I've got about 10 separate projects I've been working on, and time is short lately lol
Speaking of which, I have quite a few messages to reply to, and since my phone data is limited, I'm gonna try to reply once I get back to work.

So I've tried the various ROMs available and have been happy using ClearDroid. What is improved upon in this version? Please be gentle, MotoACTV has been my first foray into Android OS.
Also, the reason I have stuck to ClearDroid has been due to it's compatibility with a large selection of resource intensive games. Yes, I game on this thing, ninja style. GTA3, Fruit Ninja, Dead Trigger, Battle Heart, Blood & Glory, Front Line Commando, Guerilla Bob, GBCoid, Nesoid, Minecraft, Mini Moto Racing, Mame4Droid, SNESoid, N64oid, Zombieville USA, Zombie Dash, Reckless Racing, Pacman, Race of Champions, Gun Zombie and Shadow Gun.
I'm dead serious, all of that runs on ClearDroid, lost about half of those when I switched to DProm, although I did gain access to Temple Run thanks to Gyro support.
My gf hates when i game on my phone, she doesn't notice as much when its on my watch
Re: [ROM] ClearDroid for MotoACTV [Version 1.1.4 E] [Updated 01/07/13]
Haha! You sound like me! The latest version doesn't yet have as much on it as 1.1.3 does, but I'm working on it and it should have the necessary support files and play store shortly. I'm glad everything is working, because that's all I really strive for lol.

-= Google Play DPI Fix Tool =-
XDA Portal Feature
I know I should be working more on APK Batch Installer Tool, but I needed a break from it for a while (got myself stuck in some nasty code), and I decided to make an app for something that has been bothering me for a while now:
A lot of us at XDA know about build.prop modification to change our device's DPI to something else, so that we have more real estate. It is just awesome, simply put. The problem with doing that is that some apps in Play Store don't show up, and you can only get around this by manually downloading installing a modded Play Store, and even then, the settings won't stick without a modded Google Service Framework along with that.
It's a tiring and tedious process, and one that many people give up on, and that's why I made this tool. Now, What's so different about this tool than the rest? I'll shortly explain. The difference comes in the fact that it does not require you to download any modded files into your device. It takes existing Play Store and Google Service Framework APKs on your device, decompiles them, mods them, compiles them back, signs them, zipaligns them and certifies them... ALL AUTOMATICALLY!
I could go on all day, but all I'll have to say is that, if you like running a Custom DPI on your device, I highly recommend you give this a shot, and give me your feedback
Tested to be working on Gingerbread, Ice Cream Sandwich and Jellybean (up to 4.2.1 on my HTC Sensation)
Make sure you're using unaltered stock versions of Google Play Store and Google Service Framework to avoid problems
Why Custom DPI? Well, here's why
More real estate, smaller fonts, more on screen at any given time.

Re: [TOOL] Google Play DPI Fix (Custom DPI, Modded GSF, GB, ICS, JB) - v1.0 (29/1/13)
Tried it on Xylon stocked market. It caused the market to fc right at beginning even before the accept of Google terms.
Also had to remove and re-add Google account, because it failed syncing.
In the end reflashed gapps to get market working again and sync to work fine.
Sent from my NookColor using xda premium
Odd. Never had any of that on my devices. Device, ROM and market version? I may have an idea as to what's causing it.

In regards to LCD density modder pro, I find that it bricked my device when used in Jellybean.
And regarding those errors that pop up, I figured out why, I'm bringing out a newer version that should address all of that >< Sorry, I made a mistake :<

Thanks
Enviado desde mi Nexus 4
Galaxy S2 i9100
Cm7 2.3.7
Tons of issues, im getting Error Hit, Error 1, Error Flag.
Could have found the problem, GB playstore is called Vending.apk rather then the newer Phonesky.apk
It's because framework-res.apk only exists on AOSP devices if I'm not wrong, and It's not really required unless decompiling apps that are native to the ROM itself (Playstore and GSF isn't :<)
I'm removing it in the next build, but I'm glad it works for you lol :|
New version is out with bug fixes, removed need for framework-res.apk, possibly fixed all the force closes that have been happening, installer now aborts when errors are hit.
Will work on the new version later which has better error handling and more descriptive messages.
I'm unsure on exactly how to use this.
I run slimbean 4.2.1 on galaxy s i9000 with a custom dpi of 182.
What do i need to choose as the play store DPI?

Hi
I still get Force Close on both apps with v1.0a.
SonyEricsson Xperia X10i (Android 2.3.3)
Thanks
@liiight General rule of thumb for me is that anything with 800x480 or 960x540 is 240 DPI. only 720p screens and above use 320. In your case, 240 is fine.
@flechaig Did you revert it back to your stock before running it again? Does the tool run into any errors when running?

Yes (with backups I found in temp directory on my computer).
No, there were no errors, except I think it did not reboot completly, so I rebooted manually and wiped Dalivik and cache.
I'm gonna give it a second try and keep you informed. Thanks.
What I did :
- restored original Phonesky.apk and GoogleServicesFramework.apk to /system/app and original build.prop with 240 DPI (there's a ^M in build.prop pushed by Google Play DPI Fix Tool for the property ro.sf.lcd_density=160^M)
- rebooted in recovery and wiped cache partition and Dalvik cache
- rebooted
- launched Google Play
- added my Google account (email and password)
- saw my apps : everything is OK, 37 apps listed
- ran your tool v1.0a with default values (240 and 240), Press OK as required (I see a force close before reboot)
- entered recovery and wiped cache partition and Dalvik cache
- rebooted
- saw Force close on com.google.process.gapps 4 or 5 times
- launched Google Play
- added my Google account (email and password), WHICH FAILS (tried twice)
Thanks
Downloaded and used.
On The first phase of installation I got the "Error Hit" screen, but continued.
When finished, I did a dalviK and cache wipe. Rebooted and tried using google play.
The first time it gave me a "Error retrieving information from server [RH-01]", i tried again and it loaded without problems.
Just in case, I used the 240 dpi cfg for both (google market and cel)
I rebooted and recheck my gmail (in case sync issues) and loaded google play (in case any other issue). Both worked ' A-Ok'.
Thanks!
Can you give us a Linux binary?
i'm on ubuntu 12.10 x64
ty!!
Any possibility to make a unix version?
Sorry, haven't noticed the previous post.

[MOD][GApps] LaboDJ Modular GApps v4 + System Slimmer! All in one AROMA installer!

Modular? System Slimmer? Customization?
I made a very light & clean modded GApps package for Android 4.2.x, for people who don't like some google app or with low /system space.
I used many GApps packages & APKs I found to make this one that fits perfectly for everyone!
The package is modular and customizable, so you can choose which app you want and which you don't.
You can install .zip file in recovery as usual but I used AROMA installer, so you can use your touch during setup even if you haven't a touch recovery.
The entire process is very fast and easy!
I don't know if AROMA installer works well with every device, if it doesn't start or something else attach the log (you can find it in the root of /sdcard)
The package is for any android 4.2.x ROM
I'm using it with CM10.1 & Fishears on Galaxy S GT I-9000 and it works flawlessly.
Which base I used?
It contains 20130301 Base mixed to the latest apps I found
Mods:
- Google Play Store 4.0.27 (mods: noupdate norestrictions nosig-aligned, multi dpi, no more ugly smiley icon)
- YouTube v4.4.11 v5b (HD Playback, Screen-off Playback)

- Face Unlock (+ lib libfilterpack_facedetect.so)

From version 3.5 you can also choose your default apps to install/unistall just editing a file: (remember: this is not essential)
- Download default.prop, see below
- Modify it with notepad++ (don't know if windows notepad mantain Unix EOL coding)
- Open .zip GApps File (EG: with winrar, winzip, 7zip or whatever you want)
- Drag & drop the file you modified to the .zip root, overwrite existing default.prop
- Use Installer as usual
Unistall
- Install your ROM .zip
- Install Classic GApps .zip
- Wipe Cache and dalvik
- Done
Note for Google Keyboard and Trebuchet unistall see HERE
If you backup system apps you want remove with a backup app (like titanium backup) you don't need to reflash ROM .zip to restore system apps.

Glad to hear it!
Let me know if you found any bug, and if you have suggestions!
The only thing i'm sure
I think it's not a good idea to add market apps, because when you update you'll lose any benefit.
By the way I'll consider any suggestion.:good:

I don't know the role of those apps... If you know I gave you the possibility to remove them...
Some people asked me to add the possibility to remove core apps so I added that menu
For example phonesky is the market
...
If you don't know leave them unchecked.

The answer is no.
This gapp package will remove only what you chose to remove...
It don't delete any system files if you don't check it.
It removes automatically only old gapps files, anyway Nothing that comes with your ROM.
For example: if you check nothing it will install only gapps core files.
If you check an app to add it will install core files + selected app (that will remain after ROM upgrade).
If you select a system app to remove it will install core files then delete chosen app from your ROM ( if you upgrade your ROM that app will come back).
If you check a core app to remove it will install core apps except the app you chose to remove.
Any combination is valid.

Yes. But I'm going to add the pre customization capability with a simple txt file in which you chose what to add or remove by default.
Maybe tomorrow or the day after.

Google Calendar is not syncing any calendars.
And is there still the additional zip for cyandelta that removes apps after uptating the rom?

what I do to get it working was to reboot to recovery and factory reset, after reset I rebooted the phone,it took about 10-15 mins, after booting up I rebooted to recovery and flashed the supersu then xposed zip again, after reboot everything was normal no storage space error or anything,I installed the apk and all is working fine as of now..

Thanks mate for reporting. Even i had the lag issue. All apps on sd disappeared and a notification of 250 mb storage or something like that poped up and i went back to KK. I'll flash lollipop tomorrow. And report it here.
some modules that work good right now:
http://www.xda-developers.com/xposed-modules-to-install-right-now-on-lollipop/
App Settings [Lollipop Alternative by rovo89] [1]:
This was by far one of my favorite Xposed modules back when I wasn’t running Lollipop, and certainly the one I missed the most. With this baby you can change DPI per app (which allows you to keep whatever DPI you want on the rest of the SystemUI), as well as the application’s font scale, immersive mode, RAM pinning, and insistent notifications for those that don’t want to miss their valentine’s texts (and lose their heads over it).
Xposed GEL Settings [1][2]:
For those fans of the “pure Google experience”, this module can let you further customize your Google Launcher by letting you hide the search bar or individual applications, change grid, icon and text sizes, remove labels and more. It doesn’t make it quite as flexible as Nova, but it’s definitely a good module to have for those that love the Google integration of their launcher, and the cleanness and optimization of it.
RootCloak [1]:
Some apps detect root and either prevent access or limit your features as a preemptive method for security. While it is understandable some might want to further fortify their application, us XDA tinkerers can be left out of services due to this. This module hides root for the apps you choose, simple as that. We can’t specifically tell you what to use this module for, but if you’ve had problems like this before, look no further.
Advanced Power Menu+ [1]: This module lets you customize the power menu of your phone to add or remove items in any order you want. There are extra reboot options (soft boot, recovery boot, bootloader), a screenshot option, a quick-dial to call whoever, some connection toggles and a handy flashlight. I always have advanced power menus on my phones, and an Xposed module alternative is much easier than flashing additional zip’s. If this doesn’t work for you, the new Lollipop Power Menu module might.
XToast [1]:
This was one of my favorites back then, as it lets you add the Toast notification’s app origin into the message box by adding the corresponding app’s icon. That in itself makes it useful, but you can also customize said icon and add the name, or change the toast style back to older versions. The duration, transparency and where it appears also can be chosen. Basically, toasts are at your control to make them more informative and personal. You won’t know how awesome it is until you try it!
Lollipop Notification Ticker [1]:
This one was meant to restore the ticker on the status bar that informed you of the contents of your latest notifications. It was made before Xposed for Lollipop came out, which was a daring move that worked… partially. According to reports, it breaks heads-up notifications alongside fixing the ticker. If you dislike those in the first place, though, you might want to give it a try.
Native Clip board [1]:
Copying and pasting on smartphones was never the most fluid thing, nor the most consistent. This module adds clip-board management straight to the text-selection menu, and it allows you to theme the new menu, black-list apps and further customize it. If you happen to be working on your phone because there’s a document you might need to edit on the bus, this will prove useful.
BootManager [1]:
A must-have to those that want their device to be slim and efficient on boot. This module allows you to select which applications run when you power up your device, and those that don’t get allowed to do so usually stay dormant until you fire them up. If you’ve got a good amount of things that you don’t need right away but are hesitant to greenify, this can alleviate the dilemma of your user experience.

Deleting both caches (cache + Dalvik cache) immediately after flashing before reboot does it for me. Everytime.
Without that: lags, space issues, always a restore necessary to get a working device

Empty galaxy rom...
I just wanted to let you know that I have it installed and have been messing with it for about an hour. Everything seems to be running quickly. So far the only thing I have noticed is that it seems to be running a little warm. I will report back with anything else I come across. Good work!!
I've been working on the theme but the ui is new to me. Still finding stuff. Thanks though @ITSAHERO hopefully as it set in it evened out the temp.
Couple questions
Hello there,
I am interested in installing the completely debloated version you did. Is the IR Blaster and the finger print unlocking the device working? Thanks in advance!!
I haven't tried the ir but finger print works. And you're very welcome.
I'll try the ir and report back. I'm in the middle of an install so it'll be a few..
Added
IR: Tested and fully operational
Best rom I've used.
Hi, downloaded the empty ROM on my tab s t700. Personally I'm not a fan of Nova so I tried installing google now launcher but it doesn't work for me? It installs and stuff alright but it just force closes on me. Now, I'm coming to this ROM from ironrom on which I was running google now launcher but I just can't get it to work on here. Am I the only one a facing this problem?
I'll download and try and report back.
Added-
Yes. You're right.
I removed Google search, sometimes I use yahoo so I like it out.
To use Google Now you need to first install Google search and go through initial setup then download and install Google Now.
The OP has been updated and the Empty Galaxy version has been updated to 1.3.
I had hoped to add a theme to it but it's taking more time than I thought to find everything.
If I get to a usable point with it I'll upload.
The rom ive been waiting for.. thanks dev.. what kernel suits best with it? Can you recemmend any?
I've been using the stock kernel so I can't really recommend yet. I'll give what's available a try today.
I'm using sky-high kernel with this rom, I have to say, my tab S 8.4 has never been smoother, almost as quick as my nexus 9.
Is this a US firmware? I have been using it and lost access to wifi channels 12 and 13. The tab could not detect my home network anymore. Europe here... Thx for all the work you've put into this.

Everything has been working well for me with the stock kernel. Great ROM. :good:

My apologies, that didn't even cross my mind. This is a backup ran through a rom kitchen and cleaned up. But it was an ota so I've got to assume it's US. If I get a chance I'll look into it.
Best RoM used yet! Keep up the good work.
Thanks.. I'm not sure where I'm at with development on the tab s. Glad the roms are getting used. I'm still waiting for the official nl2 download. My favorite thing about the tab is having a device not connected to a carrier! And it really makes it so we don't need very many apps to start.

Agreed, it's so relaxing.
