Try GeekBuying, I've used them reliably for years and they are usually the least expensive (if you incorporate the total cost such as shipping and insurance).
http://www.geekbuying.com/item/Xiaomi-Mi-5S-Qualcomm-Snapdragon-821-Smartphone---Black-372710.html

does geekbuying have it in stock?

It's not out yet, only announced

I spoke to a seller on aliexpress and she confirmed she had the silver ones in stock. I placed an order and she told me that they will ship it on the 4th of October, after the holidays in China.

That's a very good price, have you got a link to the seller? Did she say when other colours will be available?

The silver is grey right I.e. black front? I want the black front so it will hide the black boarder around the screen

Top One Digital - aliexpress. He offers worldwide shipping. I have used his services and I can recommend him. But I highly recommend you to pay for DHL delivery so you will not pay any kind of VAT and also you will get your device in 5-6 days.
As far as i know right now he has Xiaomi Mi 5S 64/128 GB (both) and also Mi 5S Plus but only 64 gigs. The price of Mi 5S 128 GB is 430 USD.

Nah they have a picture of a gray one (black face), but they only have the silver with white face in stock at the time I ordered.

I also messaged and she said they don't know when they'll get the grey colour

Hey mate, thanks for posting these details here. these are real helpful.
I am new to MI phones and i was wondering if these come with Chinese or Global WW Firmware. Would you know anything about them?

Well, it really depends. I will talk only about "Top One Digital" because I have bought few times from him and he is really good seller. First of all, he packs the items really well. Even if the DHL airplane f*cks up in the air and it fells, your package will be okey. I needed 10 minutes to break down the package of TopOne, for real
You have 2 choices when you shop phone(s) from his store:
1st - if you want to receive sealed box, he will send you sealed box but once you open it, the phone will have chinese global stable pre-installed - which means when you turn on phone you will have only 2 languages - chinese and english and when you finally go to the home screen you will see a lot of crap chinese applications. And google play will be missing from your device. But MiFlash allows you to flash official ROMs without unlocking the bootloader and it is really simple and easy.
2nd - if you don't want to flash the global rom by yourself, you can just write down a note to him (or just send him a message) that you want to receive the phone with Global Stable ROM and he will do it instead of you. But you will not receive a sealed box. You will be able to receive OTA and etc. No chinese apps will be pre-loaded and you will also have google play on your phone.
I have bought few xiaomi phones from him and I don't know what is the procedure if you want to get Meizu or anything else but yesterday i compared the price and specs of Meizu M3 Note (3 GB RAM) and Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 Pro (3 GB RAM) and it is useless to go for meizu.
One last thing - about the latest xiaomi phones - Mi 5S and Mi 5S Plus - no matter what, you will receive the device with chinese stable ROM because there is still no global stable for these models but really soon we will be able to download them from their official site.
So don't hesitate - if you want to get some good chinese phone - order from TopOne but don't forget to use DHL delivery.

Try tradingshenshen too. Bought my 5 pro from them. Great experience.

Oppmart have very good prices but they charge $50 for the grey model because it's 'harder to get'. They ship from EU $20 so guarantee no customs for EU countries. Not sure of Brexit affects us.
I'll most probably buy from them, grey 4gb/128. I'd rather pay thr extra for the 4gb ram since the Pixel Phones will be 4gb and it can last a few years

No US release

Oh well, looks like no US release in the "first wave". Kind of disappointed. Maybe different processor to be used? Maybe waiting to fix camera? lol Interesting to see how plays out but March will be here in no time to see what Sammy offers...
The pricing is a bit more than was initially thought it would be. The model with 3 GB of RAM and 32 GB of storage costs €599, while the model with 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of storage is priced at €699.
Which would be about $644 and $751 in U.S. dollars.
i actually expected a little higher price tag in euros, so thats totally fine by me
btw, isnt the GX8 the revamped mate 8 version for the US?
edit: oh nvm, its actually a revamped G8 midrange phone [emoji14]
in any case, happy to hear that germany is in the first wave, yehaw!

Too expensive for my usage in the USA.
I'm still running my Mate2, and it is flawless. I don't do games, so that's not an issue.
It runs everything else, is solid as a rock, long battery life, smooth, no lag.
Best 300 dollar investment.
Was hoping Huawei would release an update to the Mate2 at the same price point,
but I think they want to go "all hollywood" (apple/samsung) with their pricing.
Faster & faster processors with more dense screens aren't the answer. I'd rather
have a big screen, mid spec processor that is solid.
Guess I'll keep the Mate2 for another year.
Mate 8 only 500ish on aliexpress.
in asia including china, consumers do pay above $1k cash for phone
i understand that in US, you need a low hp pricing with heavy subsidy from network operator
in that case, it will be more profitable for a company to focus on area like china, india and other parts of asia where consumers are willing to fork up cash and pay list price for their phones

What's the tax rate? Or the price b4 tax?
you can check for yourself: http://www.aliexpress.com/item/Orig...-950-Octa-Core-Android-6-0-6/32557813072.html
3/32 gb = 486€
4/64 gb = 636 / 664€ (gold / mocha)
4/128 gb = 729 / 748 € (gold / mocha)
1 yr replacement warranty = 35 - 53€ depending on model
shipping to Germany via EU Express = 30€
so in my case it was 664€ phone / 30€ shipping / 46€ warranty
in that price they include a case (in my case a transparent TPU soft case), a screen protector, a power adapter for your respective country and they also preflash google play store and a rom with international language packages
hy,
try this site http://www.vopmart.com/huawei/filter/cat/huawei-ascend-mate-8.html
if you are from EU choose Netherlands Post Registered Air Mail and don't pay import taxes or VAT, but time to delevery is almost 30days
wish the 4gb was in space gray would have bought already. Hate the color options for the 4gb versions.

Given the slow down in China, it doesn't surprise me that Huawei hasn't set up a production line for the Mate NXT L09, the single SIM US/North American version, as quickly as the internatioinal dual SIM versions. However, the Wall Street Journal spoke to Huawei officials for the article they did in December and company officials acknowledged that the Chinese slow down means they need to develop a real market presence in North America. I expect the NXT L09 will launch in the US in Q2--it cleared the FCC in December. One thing Huawei needs to do if they want to develop a North American market to help provide additional revenue streams to offset their losses from the Chinese market slow down is to hire a few staff in North America and not rely solely on staff in China to interact with North American customers via their webpage. There are some language barriers in interacting with the company on their website. I'm looking forward to the NXT L09 lanch since it will have 4G FUD LTE band 17, which I need as an AT&T customer.

I was considering getting note 3 only because of fingerprint sensor, but it is way too large for my liking. And now they release this.

Don't be. Plus it's to be expected that they'd get either an Enhanced or Prime (well except now obviously it's a Pro so) out. Not that I defend Xiaomi but they're not the only ones struggling to balance out price points.
Subject to individual preference of course, sure both 3GB RAM and 32GB internal storage are more than welcome but are you sure you don't want to pair those to a slightly more capable SoC with better GPU OR at least with an FHD screen instead?
As for me being Malaysian when Mi are lagging their ass in their own sweet time to even bring in proper official Redmi 3/ido sets on time let alone this Pro I can't be arsed to wait and definitely are happy with how much I've paid for my imported set so yeah.
Hello everyone, does someone know, will the PRO version have capacity buttons light?
Any news here yet? It says 4th of April, but I can't really find anything yet.
It will be more great if :
Super AMOLED 2560 x 1440 pixels or QHD+ with Gorilla Glass 5 with 3D or Force Touch too
SD652 or SD825 in it
USB Type-C
QC 3.0 or Super VOOC
24 UltraPixel with f/1.2 main camera & 24 UltraPixel front camera with f/1.2 (Best lowlight) dual-pixel + iSight technology
Micro SD Card (up to 512Gb) slot separetly from SIM 2nd Slot
10.000 mAh battery capacity
What do you think?

I've just purchased from Spemall. Never used them before, but I guess Paypal has my back if anything dodgy happens. £144 delivered to the UK by DHL, with the promise that they'll "lower the invoice price" so that I get charged less tax at import... We'll see. Should be here by the end of next week.
Just ordered one Redmi 3 Pro yesterday, hope to reicive it as soon as possible.

Ah that's a shame, live and learn I guess. DHL was a pound more but showing as 60% discount, so I assumed that it was the better value option.
This handset is now on hotukdeals.co.uk under an AliExpress seller for the bargain price of £120.

Hey guys,
Is spemall.com a reliable/trustworthy site? I am currently in Cyprus (EU) and its basically between ibuygou.com and spemall.com. Which handles returns friendlier and you guys have had better experiences with?
Thanks!
Hello I just get my redmi 3 Pro. I am installing some apps and noticed that heats up very fast. Does anyone feel the same?
Also sorry if my english is bad im spanish speaker. :good:
I'm not sure whether I should buy the pro version or the non-pro version, if I'm buying the pro version, can I use the ROMs from the non-pro version?
Some one can help me, where is price cheapest?
i'm want to buy PRO version
I've now received my Redmi 3 Pro and after a week of use I am very happy with it. I'm getting 6-7 hours of screen on time, the camera is much better than the reviews led me to believe, and it's been an all round decent experience. The only thing that is bugging me is that I'm on the Chinese ROM and don't seem to have a clear answer on whether the Redmi 3 ROMs will work or will brick my device. Ideally I'd run CM12, but even the Global Miui would be better than the Chinese one.
Redmi 3 Roms seem yet not to work with pro version. Fingerprint and network seem not to work.
Waiting for a fixed release of EU rom.

Well, ain't I lucky. http://es.aliexpress.com/store/1986585 <-- may NOT want to get something there. I ordered a Xiaomi Redmi3, but I got a 2nd hand Samsung E7, packaged in their own unique tape and all. Had to escalate the dispute with Aliexpress, luckily they helped me out.
I guess I may be trying again for the pro version. Any other reviewers?

that sure isn't much of a price drop considering i paid a similar price in november from chinavision
This is misleading info, xiaomi hasn't dropped their price on mix at all, official price is still exactly the same. What you seeing here is reseller dropping price, most likely because the hype is over and they are trying to sell their stock.
It has nothing to do with mix 2 and we won't be seeing mix 2 anytime soon also. They only just started working on it so give it until later this year before you start seeing actual info about it.
P. S. And ya, that price is pretty much what others was asking a long time ago
I was looking at this model since it came out and all the retailers who ships worldwide asked for over 1000$, maybe you are talking on 128GB? the 18K is the most expensive model.

I am well aware of the model difference, of course I am talking the more expensive model. When I bought mine back in December, the world wide shipping price was around 850 USD, many buyers here got theirs around that price.
Some sites are charging quite a bit more than the others, but price from official has always been the same. If you lucky enough to snap one from xiaomi, it's 3999 RMB, which is around 580 USD. I got mine just below 700 USD last year. 18k gold 6GB ram version that is.

you obviously haven't read the huge thread about where to buy then cause similar prices have been available from the very start of this phone going on sale
The maze seems like vapor hardware atm too, not sure what it really has to offer - new company going in on a new idea with no previous entries. That's a pretty big risk to take in this market. I got my mix 6gb 256GB for about 850 everything included, Chinese rom and sealed.

Which online store to buy op5?

I am looking for op5 (from Canada). The price on banggood is $556CAD and on oneplus.net/ca is $650CAD + tax (which is 19% more even after 10% student discount) 6GB/64GB. Do you have any bad experience with banggood? How reliable the oneplus.net is? Any trouble to deal with the seller when your phone should have any problem?
Last question, how do you think huawei p10 plus? It is a much more expensive phone.
I wouldn't trust any other sellers than OnePlus themselves.
Oneplus themselves... You really wouldn't want a bad experience for a tiny bit more. at least that's my opinion
I agree. You usually get what you pay for when using obscure site that many don't know. I knwo you're in Canada, but in the US, unless it's a place like amazon, Swappa or Best Buy, I'm not to into buying phones unless direct from the OEM.
I saw some article about Gearbest selling the phone for $399 if you use a certain code.
Or you can buy it from the official OnePlus website and use a certain code from XDA to get a free OnePlus case. The case is about $30 normally.
The code can be found in some XDA article from last week.
bangood are fine. check its not the chinese version which may limit the bands and have no google play store. i suppose you can flash oxygen rom etc. also remember you will probably run the risk of paying custom tax.
Thanks all. It seems oneplus.net is a reliable place to shopping. Is there data for where people buying their op5? It could be interesting.
I bought mine from OnePlus. I know I overpaid being in Canada with our crappy dollar but I needed to switch to a dual sim phone and the OnePlus was the only dual sim phone I knew of that I was sure I'd be happy with so I was willing to switch from the s8 to the OnePlus 5 even though it was almost the same amount of money. The ordering process was nice and easy and the phone arrived to my door in Canada in less than a week by DHL. I got frequent status updates on the shipping. So far it's better than the s8 in some ways and a downgrade in others. Which is the "better" phone depends what you need or like better.
I would not worry, there is no dodgy copies of oneplus 5 around to my knowledge. Just make sure it has OOS on it ,but even if it comes with the Chinese software you can Flash OOS later. Only on hardware spec(except for memory and storage), Surely you have a one week return policy in Canada also. Android phones never brake until warranty period has expired
No problem here... just got my OP5 from banggood for 400 €... it is 100€ cheaper than oneplus
Buy from the OEM direct even if it costs a little more you have 0 problems with a return or whatever if you have an issue with the device
got mine from aliexpress took 9 days cost £370 6/64 global rom, but then again its a bit worrying ordering from china constantly checking tracking

I agree with this 100%, i've had way better experiences purchasing direct from the manufacturer when it comes to repairs, warranties, etc. When I purchase from Best Buy or online resllers, the seller just tells me "Welp, you didn't purchase the 300$ warranty so..... You're SOL buddy! Good luck contacting the manufacturer!"
I purchased my Samsung Chromebook plus from Best Buy and regretted it. The chromebook had a hardware defect, I called Best Buy and brought it to the Best Buy store I bought it from and they said "WEll, sorry dude, you didn't buy the warranty.." Then I called Samsung and they told me "If you purchased it through us, we could just replace your chromebook , because you went through a reseller, we can only repair it"
I had to get it repaired twice for the same problem I regret not purchasing from Samsung direct, even if it had been a few bucks more.

buying phone from AliExpress

You pay the vat tax and hypothetically you would pay an import tax into the US. But only if the value is above $2500.
The itself Vat is the tax, and coming from China its should be about 16% of the declared value. Sometimes the shipper will declare a smaller value than what you actually paid.

US doesn't charge the Vat, the country that you export from charges the tax. At least that is what happened when I bought a guitar in China. But I may have gotten scammed since I didn't pay a Vat for other things that I purchased.
I just attempted to walk through the steps of purchasing a phone ( Online) to see if it would process the Vat charge and it did not. So maybe you will not pay any Vat? To be clear the US will not charge you anything unless its value is over $2500
Nice Phone BTW
Here's a screenshot of my order back in July. It's just like if you order something from amazon or ebay, nothing special, at least not with an order like this

I'm debating on buying another 720 since I cracked my screen or getting an 850/950. Looking at the honor view 10 as well

Okay ?
Here is what i noticed so far compared to my le pro 3
The battery life is awesome almost 10 hours of sot (Facebook, WhatsApp, messenger, YouTube, wifi) the camera is wayyyy better than the leeco (leave AI mode off) speaker is decent, build quality is amazing the only downside is the micro usb charging port....cpu is snappier that the leeco but the GPU is decent and ram management is just terrible

I only play garena free fire it isn't a demanding game but the kirin 710 is clearly a faster than the SD 821 when it comes to lunching apps

Hmm if that's the case, then the Kirin 960 or 970 should perform overall much better in all aspects
Actually I've been looking more and the Kirin chipsets seem to be more for non-gaming as opposed to the Snapdragons. That combined with looking for a phone that's compatible with T-Mobile/MetroPCS, it looks like ZTE/Nubia Z17 might be my choice to upgrade to.

You know when it's due out? I checked gsmarena and it says not announced. Did a quick comparision though between the Adreno 530 and the Adreno 616 and the 530 still tops it..then again you said u weren't going for gaming ;p
The idea about the Nubia z17 for me I don't think is gonna work out, it doesn't have band 2, which I probably need for MetroPCS. Bands 2 and 4 are the 2 I use. the x720 is missing bands 12, 25, 26, 66, and 71, so I have no idea if I got a phone that had those (almost all are expensive) if they would even be utilized or not. I'm debating on maybe the Honor View 10, it has 2, 4, 5, and 12 at least.
The phone that gets my attention is the Xiaomi BlackShark it has all the main bands for AT&T and T-Mobile... A big battery and screen sd845cpu 6gb ram 64gb storage just under $400 on eBay
I love my lex727 but it's getting a bit on the rough side with scratches on the screen I'd get another one but their isn't any new ones left on eBay
I ended up buying the Xiaomi Mi Mix 2 SE for $300, 8/128, I think I'ma have this one for quite a while
