UMi Super FRP - UMi Super Questions & Answers

Hello, friends.
I bought an Umi Super from someone, but when i try to open it, i get stuck at providing google account. The guy from who i bought it forget the password of the old Google Account. Is there a method to bypass the FRP? I know that in Android 5 it's easy to bypass this, but at Umi Super with Android 6 i don't know how to do it. Plase, help me.
Thank youl all in advance for your responses.

I wiped everything, except the system. It didn't help. What security solution will be FRP if you can go to recovery , wipe everything and all will be like new?? Any other solutions?

Well, that's the risk of having custom recovery. I guess you need to have completely clean system and to do that download full ROM (preferably most recent one from UMI official website) and flash it via SPFT.

No, it's not custom recovery, the phone isn't rooted. I haven't tried yet to flash official rom via SPFT because i want to know for sure if this method solve my problem.

Flash the latest stock rom with SP Flashtool and it will solve your problem. It will restore the recovery to stock recovery and the phone will be like new. This is your only option in this situation you found yourself in. Now please close this thread as this matter now is solved.

I repeat, i have stock recovery, the phone isn't rooted. I'm afraid that after flashing an official rom the FRP will still be present and it will still ask me for the old account's details.

The FRP will be wiped when you flash the stock rom. Regardless if you have stock / custom of anything. Mate, you do as you see fit.

hi
i have the same FRP problem
i try all stock firmware (downloaded Umi Forum) and factory recovery full data clear, and nothing, still ask me for old google account
i try another method on youtube umi hammer frp remove but it show to activate developer mode, i try many times click on options info menu, but still system not unlocking, not show developer mode menu
for all another phone unlock dev mode is no problem, first time i see on umi super is not possible
any idea ?

Hi
I found a way to save Umi Super if you lost google account name, password.
All the methods described on the web have failed, I'm nervous reading various nonsense.
Umi Super its very hard to reset FRP without hardware programer...... but i worked on it for 20 hours and..... succes
Only method (very dangerous) is full format and flash new firmware (20161121_c239v55_kw_u1) with SPFT. You lost imei (must backup it before format or write to save place, photo etc.).
Now flash TWRP, reboot to new recovery, root (install SuperSU) and restore imei (with another software), run official (OTA) 2 new update and .... You have 100% working phone with New pure official Umi Android 7
sorry if my post not clear or poor English
any question please write to me

EDIT: I have successfully used this on the latest officiall Android 7 (Nougat) release. Don't know about others.
Hi, it is possible to bypass like this (you need some knowledge of adb, but it's not so hard to acquire):
1. Follow these steps to enable usb debugging on your phone:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=66731042&postcount=260
2. boot phone, connect usb
3. on computer run this command in terminal that has adb:
"adb shell am start -n com.google.android.gsf.login/.LoginActivity"
4. three dot menu > browser sign-in > login with any google account
5. reboot
---
If you cannot enable usb debugging you can also use the BypassFRP.apk from this link (don't follow the other instructions, just use the app). It does the same thing as step 3 above.
https://albviral.com/how-to-bypass-...-2016-on-all-android-devices-easy-method-440/
---
I am on mobile, if you need better explanation, let me know.

[No Root][No USB Debugging][Locked Bootloader] Forgot Mi Account

Hi Everyone, I am new here. Please let me know if I violate any of the rules here.
HELP! I have Redmi Note on Chinese firmware. Last week it crashed, doing a factory reset and now asking for Mi Account password in which I really forgot, It has been 3 years since I purchase and register.
I have been trying quite a lot of things.
1. Attempt password as I remember [FAILED]
2. Try to wipe all the user data [FAILED: still asking mi account password]
3. Try to flashboot [FAILED: cannot unlock because of I don't have mi account]
4. Try to flash using custom mod [FAILED: No USB Debugging Enabled]
Now I have run out of an idea.
Could you please help me a way to fix this? I need to use my phone again.
Thank you for your help.
Up
UP UP UP UP!
Please help.
What do you mean by saying "asking Mi account password"? You mean the screen lock passcode?
Normally Vol Up+Power button will bring you to Recovery, in recovery you can clear all data, after that, your phone should be like new, without asking you anything.

Forgot to activate OEM-Unlock for Root. Phone Bricked: "Custom binary blocked by FRP"
Hello,
today i rooted my J5 (SM-J500FN) via Odin and CF-Auto-Root.
Everyting went well but after the root i unticked OEM-Lock (please dont ask me why i did it) and restarted my phone and this nice screen greeted me: "Custom binary blocked by FRP. SECURE FAIL: KERNEL"
So I tried everything I found on the Web and found nothing really helpful. Then i tried flashing the recovery and reflashing CF-Auto-Root but both got blocked in the Download Mode with the message "FRP Block".
Please can someone help me, i really hope i dont have to reset my phone because my google authenticator is stored on it, and it would be a real pain to write to the support of every account i connected to reset my Security Options.
Thanks, Toby
P.S: when i flash the boot.img does it wipe my device?

I do know that even in Recovery mode the ROM locks you out and doesn't let you factory reset for example

No it does not. You are not affecting the data partition.
This would only happen if you flashed the factory repair firmware.
Thank you all. Here is my Guide: https://forum.xda-developers.com/android/general/complete-guide-to-rid-custom-binary-t3541403

Happy for you ^^
When activating the oem unlock you can install Twrp, kernel or custom rom without the activation of FRP security that is activated when you establish a security pattern in the device
When the binary is blocked by the FRP you must install the factory firmware, then enter the recovery and do a factory reset since the FRP prevents external access to the system and data as prevention
You will be prompted for the email and password of the previously used account

You only need to enter your login details if you factory reset.
Flashing the stock firmware is enough to remove frp. No need to factory reset.

Tutorial - How to Skip "Unbid LeEco Account"

Hi,
I found a way to skip LeEco account verification with SetupWizard when you flash a new firmware and you must login your LeEco account.
Note:
I don't know how you can unbid account but I show you how you can skip this step.
Instruction:
1. Go to TWRP
2. Wipe data
3. Mount System
4. Go to Advance -> File Manager
5. Open system-> app
6. Search folder:
- APPLetvAccount -> delete APPLetvAccount.apk
- LetvCloudService -> delete LetvCloudService.apk
- SampleAuthenticatorService -> delete SampleAuthenticatorService.apk
- MobileActivation -> delete mobileactivation.apk
7. Reboot
If you have the same problem with unbid account try it. It works in me.
you can simple to choose "skip" in setup process without TWRP

Without TWRP
Hey,
I flashed the stock ROM after Lineage OS and replaced TWRP with the stock recovery in the process. Any way this can be done with stock recovery? Or how can I flash TWRP now? The device is locked. Only fastboot works and it says that cannot flash when I try to unlock oem and flash TWRP (since debugging and oem unlocking are disabled - I guess)
Regards,
Mayank
This Guide works very well for me for first start after flash new ROM, but this guide does not resolve unbind old account, if I do not know old Leeco account password.
Has anyone tried to change IMEI using Xposed module IMEI changer and then login to Leeco accout? Will this procedure work? I have stock ROM without root, therefore, I can not test this way.
Or, its necessary change IMEI directly on phone? I find this guide for change IMEI on phone without root https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JnGwLZTkMz0
But I'm afraid to use it Was anyone trying this? Does it work and is it safe? The procedure using Xposed module seems safer to me (if work).
This is a life saver
Got a new phone and after a factory reset there was a number attached to the phone and I could not skip the LeEco login.
The number attached didn't even look like a number from my country either.
During the initial setup it did let me skip though.
Anyways just logged in to give thanks.:good::good:
This is the exact problem I am having, I had to resolve to a custom ROM, will gv it a try when I am back from work tomorrow

It's because it came with an unofficial international ROM, that should b EUI5.8, U can only get system update when u flash the Chinese stock firmware, but I'll advice u get a custom rom based on EUI to eliminate all Chinese bloatwares, a good example is a ROM by cuoco92, u will enjoy it, besides, LeEco no longer push updates since they crashed

Hello
You can flash TWRP from fastboot mode.
You can use mauronofrio's frontend to help : https://forum.xda-developers.com/le-max-2/development/tool-tool-one-mauronofrio-t3580941
you can go in fastboot mode by pressing power and volume - button.

SOLVED:Stuck at PIN input, then reboots

Well, I f*cked up.
Fastboot works, I can flash stock rom via Xiaomi Flash. Flashing completes without any problems. A notification about encypting phone shows up, at 3% it jumps to 100% and resumes boot. Now after each boot, phone freezes at "input your sim pin" and reboots. Over and over again. What can I try, please help :

Try to format data in twrp or stock recovery.
If it does not work flash an android 8.0 or Nougat ROM. Do not lock the bootloader.
Let me guess. From Pie to Oreo or Nougat?

if you can boot to fastboot try to flash stock pie 10.0.4.0 with miflash, after that your device should be able to boot, than unlock OEM and bootloader and downgrade to what version you want

The problem is with the Pie specific partition table
I write the whole guide from memory, so it can differ a bit.... I skipped some steps ( erasing, reboot, fastboot mode, TWRP loading via fastboot, OEM unlock )
From previous writings I think you can know the skipped steps.
Keep in mind: It is dangerous, you can loose your IMEI ( it will only work again with Pie - or there are some writings at forum how can you manually change it. ).
Steps:
1 - Backup with TWRP (fastboot) efs, persist, modem & make copy to your computer and or to your cloud provider.
2 - Create a new folder in Internal Storage -> TWRP -> BACKUP -> With a new date directory ( the backup already made one, make a new folder, with different date )
3 - Download someone's older TWRP backup from xda (I cheated, I copied the following links ) :
(I'm still a new user, so can't directly write url's )
Mediafire : https COLON SLASH SLASH bit.ly SLASH 2QU5NtC
Mirror: Google Drive : https COLON SLASH SLASH bit.ly SLASH 2UN1DTo
4 - Unpack, and copy EFS to the folder created 2 point
5 - Fastboot TWRP -> Restore EFS
6 - Flash the Official latest firmware from en.miui.com ( If you want to make sure go with EDL mode )
7 - Now, the IMEI & Mac addresses are missing. Don't panic! Download update with System Updates.
8 - When you are on Pie again, restore your first TWRP (fastboot) persist partition
9 - One more System restore
At this time, you will have IMEI & Mac addressees, and hopefully a working phone.
Hope this helps. The same thing happened with me 2 weeks ago. This is how I solves it.
Thank you, I solved it yesterday. Hopefully this post will come in handy for other people!

Galaxy S8 bricked - Stuck in boot loop after flashing twrp

Hey there everyone,
I wanted to root my s8 (sm-950f) and when I flashed twrp my phone initially got stuck in Samsung logo. After managing to shut it down I tried to go to recovery mode to wipe everything and perform a factory reset but I can not do it. All that happens is I get to s8 screen and it reads in red on top left of the screen "Only official released binaries are allowed to be flashed" and it keeps resetting itself. I can access download mode but that's it, I can't do anything else. Currently downloading a stock firmware to try and flash it but with the free downloads it's taking its time. Any help appreciated, I really want to unbrick my phone
note: It shows FRP and OEM lock to be off in download mode, i dont even know if i'll even be able to flash a new fw. Do I just have a very expensive brick in my hands now?

Hey there everyone,
I wanted to root my s8 (sm-950f) and when I flashed twrp my phone initially got stuck in Samsung logo. After managing to shut it down I tried to go to recovery mode to wipe everything and perform a factory reset but I can not do it. All that happens is I get to s8 screen and it reads in red on top left of the screen "Only official released binaries are allowed to be flashed" and it keeps resetting itself. I can access download mode but that's it, I can't do anything else. Currently downloading a stock firmware to try and flash it but with the free downloads it's taking its time. This must be a international S8... Did you activate oem unlock in developer settings before flashing twrp

I'm not sure if it's international, it's most likely a Turkish version.
And yeah to your question

But you know for a fact that there's a twrp version for your device.... Not good to do these expensive phones like that without officially having all the facts

Well it's too late for that now, I need actual solutions. I also tried smart switch - it doesn't recognize the phone

On the xda thread for your device there aren't no stock roms uploaded to Android host for fast download so you can flash in Odin and start the process of twrp again or just leave it alone you have a S8 it's good money

WHEW. Flashing a stock firmware seems to have fixed the issue. Mods can lock the thread.

I do want to root, but I don't want to approach it without knowing all my facts, do you have any suggestions for guides for Android 9.0?

Just look in your device forum everything Is there however your device is a international cause it ends in with the F so twrp does work for your device..... You just need to find the specific one for your model once you have twrp you can install a android 9 custom rom

I had this problem too a year ago but wasn't able to reflash the official firmware, but when I went to Samsung they fixed it for free even though Knox was already tripped
