....yeaaa i already know what size it is, just need verification on the model number. in my past experiences dealing with sprint they use certain sim cards for certain phones. they have a few different nano sim card models. i just wanna make sure SIMGLW446C is the one they use for the G5

Ah right...Mine doesn't list the part number. Does say 63.10a idk if that's helpful or not.

Fack, I was wondering if the sim was to small to have the product number printed on it. Any chance you still have the card that it was punched out of that came in the box?

Sprint sim cards dint function like other carriers there isnt 1 nano fits all. If your activating on sprint, go into a store and activate and tell them u need a sim and they will give you 1 for free

Okay thank you. I've heard that you can cut your old standard sim yourself to make it fit, is that true?

Yes it's true. Sim cutters can be found for cheap on amazon and eBay.

You can, but it may be easier to just go to your local carrier and have them give you a micro
Yup

Yeh, there are loads of tools on amazon for this:

So if someone had an iPhone 5 and hated it they could switch out micro Sims between the two phones without having to go to the AT&T store and having them have to do it?

iPhone 5 uses nano-SIM, which is even smaller than micro-SIM that the N4 and most recent Android phones are using
microsim. just go to your carrier and they should give you one. its the same size one as the current sgs 3, htc one, and other phones. you can get an adapter to turn your microsim into a full size sim when you need to via ebay for 2 bucks or so.
If you have T-Mobile as your carrier, just go into one of your local retailers and ask for a micro-sim. I got mine free of charge.
Here is from my other post. There is a video by google explaining how to insert sim card:

Can I use an actual T-Mobile Sim on Straight Talk?

Please forgive the dumb question but I haven't had a phone with a Sim in years.
After botching a cut job with the straight talk sim to get it to fit, I went and got a micro sim straight from a tmo store.
**Can I call ST and have them activate this Sim on the ST network? Or is there actually something special about the ST Sim?**
I already have all the APN info for ST on the phone since the botched card still kinda functions. The tmo Sim is not linked to any account; They just pulled it out of a drawer and sold it to me.
No, need a ST SIM.

Damn. OK, thanks!
Can you explain why not? What makes the difference between a Tmobile compatible ST sim and an actual Tmobile sim that can't be overcome with software mods?
Well for one, no one mods the way a sim interacts with the phone.. Also Straight Talk sims supposedly get lower tower priority.

Hmm. Fair enough.
As for the software mods, I guess I was referring more to setting up the access point info. Clearly I don't have much background with sim stuff, so I appreciate the info.
Nah, you can't mod the SIMs or anything. That's outside the scope of most people's technical ability.

Just order a new one, use coupon code SIMSAVE and get the SIM card for free with a month of service purchased.
Might also want to get a microSIM cutter on Amazon it's like 3.90 with PRIME shipping.

That's the boat I'm in. One of each is on order and will be here next week.
I was just hoping I could use the Tmo one and not worry about it (and not have wasted the cash).
Thanks again for humoring me guys!

One main reason you can not use anything other than an actual ST SIM, is that your account is based on it's serial number.
Normally ST accounts are based on the serial number of the ST Phone, but since this is BYOD, they use the SIM instead.
You can try to open a ticket on ST facebook and convince the reps your SIM is faulty so they send you a replacement. Else you're gonna have to buy another one.
Hope that helps,

Is a sim card tied specifically with the phone it comes with?

Say you have two new sprint phones, one white, one black, both s4s. The black one, the card was missing. The white one, the card is there. Could the card from the white one have been put in the black one, activated and on the network, and it work? Is the sim only able to work with the phone it came with, even though you have two of the same model? I asked someone at a sprint store if they charge for a replacement sim and they said no but they don't have any for this phone. They said I'd have to go somewhere else. Too many conflicting stories.
You can use the sim if it is activated yes. I know online when I transferred phones it gave me the option to use the sim I had or the one that came with the new phone.
Yes you can. It costs $50 to replace the sim card..

I tried using a sim grin a kyocera torque and salesperson helping me, which was in there phone with sprint, trying to get the phone activated, said the sim wasn't compatible. Yes the torque was a lte phone.

The thing that makes me so mad about that "option" is it's probably 99.9% profit for sprint for the cost of the card. I would refuse to pay for a card if the phone I bought and wanted didn't come with one new out of the box.

Sprint international rep posted it here.
I only asked one corporate store, but I've been reading that some say they charge from 30-50 for them.

I would give some push back on that...sim cards ring at $0 at pos....curious if they are also selling batteries thinking they are padding their acc sales.
Regardless...I will research it
I will also add that I see a number of situations where the sim IS tied to a phone and a number of them where it is tied to the account. For the most part the sim stays with the account UNLESS the new phone has a sim.
Confusing I know. I think Sprint is still trying to figure out the right way to handle the sim/esn set up.

Yeah, it's not like swapping Sims on gsm.
A big problem is the answer you get differs with who you ask. Sounds like training employees isn't universal with some things. One store can say no and not help with a problem. Go to another store, you might be able to get your situation taken care of.

1. The model is legal: GT-I9505ZWAXST -> Take a look HERE
2. The IMEI is legal too -> HERE
3. You have to know if the label is original or they pasted it later.

thanks.but not a bigfan of imei checking.
hopes its original.
The box is legit! the pick can be taken at any place before opening!!
But the nanosim notification on the back is related to a possible fake!
S4 use micro SIM card and the position is central right, not left side as it seems to be on the photo.
for me this deal is a trick.
I received a s4 in the exact same box and with the same stickers on the back etc from Vodafone UK. I think it's just how they come from certain supplier's.

The thing about the sim just means that it takes a nano sim with no adaptor at all.... This means that you need a nano sim for this phone, not a full size one...

Hi,
The "Don't Use SIM Adapter" looks like it wasn't factory glued there. If I were you I'd ask for more information and pictures of the device before you get it, as far as I can see it's original, but you never know if it isn't any fake device out there. More important of everything, check if the seller has a good reputation before getting anything this expensive.

Quick question.

It's been a while since I've upgraded, actually.. I haven't ever since I've been on T-Mobile.
Still using my Nexus 4. When I first got that phone I had to input a bunch of data on the T-Mobile website like the phone IMEI or whatever..
When I get my 6P will I need to do all of that or can I just pop my sim in and go? Will I need to set up an APN or anything?
Thanks!
Probably just pop in the sim and go. The sim may be a different size in which case you would either need an adapter or new sim from tmobile. Tmobile would tell you that you probably should update to a new sim after several years or you could possibly experience some problems. You can always try your existing sim first.
NCguy is right. The sim is a different size in the 6p.

I would wait until you have the Nexus 6p in your hands or if you have adapters.

Thanks, I think I will try cutting it once I have the 6P in my hands.
I don't really have the extra money to be spending on sim cutters when I can do it myself..
especially when I will probably only use it once..
If it fails, I live a block away from T-Mobile.
Just be careful. A sharp edge or a cheap adapter can actually ruin your phone.
Not sure if it happens with T-Mobile, but for a lot of carriers you can go in and get it swapped and transferred over pretty quickly.
