Very Low Light Camera in apps in Marshmallow (any version) - Lenovo Vibe K4 Note Questions & Answers

Hey guys,
I just wanted to ask that is it just me or anyone else is experiencing this ?
The bug is:
In marshmallow there is very low or no light in some camera apps like retrica, dubsmash, etc. If u go into the sunlight all is OK but if u go indoors even with ample light it'll be so damn dark and u can barely see yourself in both front and rear cameras (yes even with 2 tubelights on). There is no such bug in Lollipop.
Can you guys confirm this. ?
And if anyone can give its solution, i'll be more than thankfull.
Regards,
anshubham

No comments... really. ?

Camera Bad Quality ???

Hello!
I have a Qtek 9000 with the latest ROM and I realized that the photos I've taken where there is low light are pretty bad! Even If I activate flash option... All seam very shaky!!!
Is it normal?? How can I solve it?
Txs,
Deiota
buy a camera that has image stability built in and a proper flash... I have no idea why the put cameras in devices like these, the quality is crap generally unless you have good lighting and a stable hand. On the other hand I have a SE K750i which has a brilliant camera, auto focus and stability, again though unless the light is good the pictures are crap.

lol, not mean to sound funny, but its shaky because you dont have a steady hand, im no photographer, but i never had a shaky picture from my exec , you just need to take your time with your picture taking, or lean up against something, that works too.

At night?
Well I have problems, specially shotting to my nine months baby (can make her still...) needed a faster shoting time...
Thxs, Deiota
What are the best settings for night shotting?
really to be honest, the best settings are 'night' with the flash on, but if its tooooooo dark, there is no point, the flash isnt strong enough, if you have it on auto, it doesnt work as well.
i just got a new puppie, and its the same, i cant het her to stay still long enough to take a pic.
i think the problem with mine is that i dont have enough memory, cos it just seems to take about 10 seconds after i press the shoot button for it to take the picture, during that time the object i am taking a picture of is out of frame, very annoying.

Low light video/images annoying forced exposure?

First of all I would like to say I LOVE this phone, its the best Android phone I have used thus far and I came from the HTC one, S4, and note 2.
Now here is whats making me insane, lg imposes this extreme low light processing which causes the image to become brighter at night, now thats completely fine with images I don't mind it, but with video seeing as we can't disable it, it makes videos taken during lowlight/indoor lighting horrid, any movement introduced causes blur and ghosting (even under the 1080p 60fps mode). I also have an iphone 5s and while the video is definitely darker, there is no issue with blur or ghosting.
This is not a bug, it is not a malfunction, its a feature that LG imposes on the camera, I was just wondering if there was some way to disable it from activating. If you guys don't understand what I mean I can make videos to show you the difference.

There is a modded camera you can use in order to fix the video low light (low frames) issues.Must have root tho and recovery in order to do so.

I hope lg eventually decided to give us the option to choose, basically decrease exposure to get better fps in low light. I prefer to keep my devices unrooted so I don't loose OTA updates but I'm glad that someone actually fixed it. If it gets too annoying I might eventually root

[Video] Photography Tutorial - long overdue!

Hey folks, I got some good news...
The long overdue photography video tutorial is finally out - enjoy!
Tell me what you think (oh, and I'm well aware of the microphone issue, I'll fix it next time). If you knew everything that I've said in this video already, fear not - I'm planning on making a part 2 and a part 3 about post-processing inside and outside of Android, since that's what people seemed interested in, as well as more general photography tips such as how to better compose an image. If you have anything else that you'd love to see a tutorial of, please do mention it!
EDIT: my Z1 Flickr album
Cheers :highfive:
Keep it coming. [emoji1]
I already learn some stuff. [emoji1]
awesome
Thank you boss
The tutorial amazing I learn soo much
Thank you
Keep it going (I'm waiting part 2 and 3)
☺☺

Can you tell me which rom/kernel do you use? Cause your camera app is opening very fast.
Thanks for the replies guys, I'm really glad to hear you like this kind of video! I'll definitely make more now
(although you may have to wait a short while, y'know how busy studies can get...)

I'm using the latest stock firmware from Sony. So nothing fancy!
The thing is, I tested some things before recording so the application was most likely still in memory. I tried again just now and the camera seems to open in about two seconds when it's not in memory.
Awesome! Great video!
I didn't knew that Night Mode will decrease the shutter speed a bit. I will try it out tonight.
The camera in Z1 is awesome! I have many great shots with it. I just printed around 30 photos. You cannot tell much difference between the phone and a digital camera.
awesome
waiting for part 2
thanks
Any tips and trick using flash LED on Z1 when taking a photo ?
This is a little tricky too.
And the more strong light from flash LED will make the photo better or doesn't for taking a picture with low light ? (light condition around 40-50%)
Thank you very much

Hey,
I never use the LED light on my phone for photos. I used to use Xenon flashes on my SE Satio and Nokia N8, but LED lights are generally just too weak. Especially the single LED found on the Z series. In low light, I will use Night Mode and set my phone against some object so that I can take photos at the minimum shutter speed. For my static shots, an LED light would imbalance the white balance anyway, so I'm always better off not using it (as a "fill light" it is also surprisingly ineffective).
The only time I would consider using the flash is when I'm not trying to take good shots but useful ones instead. Photos that otherwise turn out too dark to see anything that I should be seeing. As for club or party photos - I just don't take those. That is pretty much the most difficult environment and no smartphone camera can really take decent photographs in that case.
I can't seem to be able to view the video. Is it me or everyone?

I double-checked and I can watch it just fine as well. You sure you don't have something disabled in your browser?
... and man, it's awful listening to your own voice.

S10+ Exynos - Camera degraded?

Hello everyone,
Anyone else got some issues with picture quality from camera... it is kind of worse then it was before? And I have a feeling it is going worse from update to update.
Video is fine, which is strange, but pictures are way worse, especially at mid light.. I've read on forums that Samsung is intentionally degrading quality of camera so they force us to buy new phone..
I wanna know if this issue is able to be fixed or not? I did camera reset, cleared cash from camera and boot loader, but the "problem" is still here..
Just curious, are your mid light shots at f2.4? Some shots i take at train station underground, was something like f2.4 ISO640 lmao. Instead of using f1.5 and lower iso. that might be your problem. Dont think there is a fix for this other than going pro where HDR doesnt work.. but other than that i really like the camera.
