Note 7 place of manufacturing - AT&T Note 7 Questions & Answers

My original one was made in Korea on 8-9-2016, my new recall replacement one was made in China on 9-2-2016. I used an app called "Phone Info" to gain thus info.
What is going on here?

You can't expect a single factory to produce the entire world's supply of phones. Car manufacturers do the same thing. The same car model will be made in 2 or 3 different factories.

Dude,
There's actually any difference between them. Don't get worked up.
It still remains the best phone of 2011.
Just enjoy it and have fun.
thank you krazykat and ram3n
this mobile coming from france and i like it just a little effect of cigarette in cover
Isn't everything made in China, give it ten years and China will probably take over the earth, probably rename the planet to porcelain utter butty and be done with it.

The one made in Korea is....well, made in Korea. The one in China, upon closer examination probably claims to have an 8000 gigapixel camera, an antenna that extends from the bottom, runs win98 "mobile", freezes when you check the date, doesn't say Samsung but rather "Sunnisang", claims a battery life of roughly 499 years (depending on the usage of the said camera) and the only available wallpaper has something to do with Hello kitty. Just sayin!

Strange galaxy I9100- made in korea

for the first time i met such GT-I9100 i can't say SGS2 because every thing looks the same but slightly bigger than the well known SGS2 international and the software of the phone is also totally different of that of the International SGS2 .
I attached the images of the stranger , every who knows can tell us what is it ( the stranger)
Looks no different to my s2 from what I can see in the photos except for the wording tflash on the back.

If it is same as yours, then , what firmware version you are using now? this uses V 4.1 GB
Is this some fake Chinese sgs2? I know for a fact that there exist fake iPhones which are very similar to the original iPhone. Also the the name of the apps in drawer are not what they are in Samsung phones be it it any model.

Gesendet von meinem GT-I9100 mit Tapatalk 2
looks....................taller....and cheap.
It's a fake, here's why:
1. T-flash at back
2. 1000mAh on back
3. App: 'Camcorder', should be Camera; 'WLAN' should be 'Allshare'
4. Strangely large home button.
5. MOBIL PHONE rather than MOBILE PHONE
6. Wrong looking MicroSD slot.
7. Should be 'MADE IN CHINA BY SAMSUNG', not made in Korea, and it should be South Korea.
8. IMEI numbers should be seperated by a forward slash (/)
9. There should be a space between S/N and the colon )
Also seems lcd screen, not amoled.
Sent from my GT-I9100 using xda app-developers app
its fake due what has been said above and also the external antenna on the back is missing for samsung testing purposes,
those Chinese phones with mediatek cpu are getting better at looking like the real thing, I've seen those fake samsung s3 and they use lcd screens instead of amoled, and also a dual core.when you go to info like the OP did you can tell its not real.

Used Note 4 ????

Has anyone purchased on on line? I see many on ebay for less then 385.00.
Hi,
You shouldn't buy a used one. Most of times, it's counterfeit Note 4.

if your gong to buy one make sure its not a counterfeit or that its stolen. if its a good deal go ahead.

Purchasing used Note 4 Developer Edition

I just purchased a used DE Note 4. The baseband version is N910VVRU2BOF1. The guy said it was used on Verizon since this August, but he said he didn't accept any OTAs from Verizon. I haven't received it yet and he hadn't shipped it, but how would I be able to tell if the bootloader is unlocked before he ships it? I'm wanting to install TWRP and put MOROM on it as soon as I get it. I hope this isn't a stupid question, I've been out of the Android tweaking scene since last year so I'm a little rusty.

You will have to start the phone holding the power, home and volume down. When the menu appears, it should say mode: developer, with blue letters, if I'm not wrong. If you don't see developer anywhere in that menu, it's retail. Ask him to provide you with a photo of that screen.

Thanks for the reply! I've never owned a developer edition device before. Still running my MDK Galaxy S4, rooted with Phil's Touch Recovery. Nothing wrong with it at all, just wanted to get the last phone available from Samsung with an unlocked bootloader, removable battery, and expandable memory. Who knows how long I'll hang onto this (assuming the bootloader is unlocked). I guess I could attempt to send it in to Samsung for a reflash?

If the phone was originally a developer edition, you can send it to Samsung for a reflash, if necessary. There should be proof that the phone is actually a developer edition (receipt from the seller), or IMEI and model number which should be SMN910VMKE. If the phone is still in warranty, they will most likely reflash it for free.

Good luck, I hope it is as described.
I had a similar experience, but the phone had a hardware defect, which was really questionable, however the seller had proof of purchase and the phone was in warranty.
Then, it took Samsung a month to fix the problem. First, they fixed the hardware issue by replacing the motherboard, screen, etc, but they flashed the retail software and it came locked. I had to call them second time and speak with someone from the repair center and explain clearly and repeatedly that the bootloader should be unlocked as it's a developer edition.
After a long month and 2 trips, it's running great, how all the Note 4 should run, no ads, tethering, etc.

Awesome! I'm guessing you're still on grandfathered unlimited data? I still have my unlimited from back in 2007 when I worked at a Verizon store. Not giving it up!

Yep, 2 lines on unlimited that's why I wanted a developer phone, so I can use tethering if needed. Both Note 4 and S4 seem to get very good reception.

You will like the phone. I run Jasmine rom with Nova launcher, there is no lag, much smoother than stock TouchWiz. I tried Morom, I liked it, but I couldn't get rid of Google services error. I tried everything I could think of.

I had planned on running Morom actually. I'll look into Jasmine. There's not a whole lot to choose from really from what I've seen. I'm just looking mainly for reliability because I use my phone for pretty much everything.

Same here, I need it to be reliable, I just couldn't put up with the random errors in Morom. Let me know if you get it to work. I tried reading through the thread, a lot of people complain about them, not sure about the fix.
Feature wise, I liked Morom.

Sprint Samsung Galaxy S10 plus data issues turns out to be hardware issue

I want to write this in case there's other people out there who had the same problem as me. I pre-ordered the Samsung Galaxy S10 plus and I loved it. Then about a month and a half after having it I wasn't really able to make and receive phone calls and texts. Eventually after going into a sprint store with a tech center I found out after they connected my phone to a computer and ran a Samsung program they told me it's a hardware issue. But because I don't have insurance they refused to help. I called up sprint and customer service was no help but after they finally transferred me to tech support I was able to finally get REAL help. Tech support are the only people apparently that know about the problem and there's a lot of people who have the same problem. They will do what they call a tech exchange for free to replace your phone with a working phone. I hope this helps someone because I don't want anyone to go through the frustrating situation I did. I now have a brand new Samsung Galaxy S10 plus that works.
