Does anyone know how to install Google Play Store?

I can't seem to get google play working either. Opengapps pico requires more space to be able to flash it onto the device and Google Services installer doesn't work. Everything else seems to work perfectly and really smooth too! I might stick to Remix untill we find a way.
EDIT: After flashing the Rezize patch by Khaon (http://forum.xda-developers.com/nexus-10/development/mod-reclaim-free-space-partition-t3029605), I was able to successfully flash Gapps pico. Everything seems to be working well so far. I installed xposed and supersu completely fine. Also, the system mode switch is a brilliant idea! Great job PhoenixOS devs.

What version of Android is it? How is it, compared to REMIX OS?

I flashed the Resize patch and Gapps through TWRP recovery. I didn't flash the Recovery that came with PhoenixOS. (Recovery.img)
You might need to reflash a custom recovery through fastboot if you installed the one that came with PhoenixOS.

My experience of PhoenixOS Vs RemixOS
I don't see much information about PhoenixOS anywhere so I thought I would share my experience of running it on my Nexus 10 for a few days.
How did I install it?
- followed the instructions on the website flashing in "Root Mode": http://www.phoenixos.com/help/installation/help-ARM-en1
- Then flashed TMRP custom recovery in fastboot mode, Nexus 10 version
- And SuperSU to obtain root
- Then flashed the resize patch by Khaon (http://forum.xda-developers.com/nexu...ition-t3029605)
- And finally the PICO version of OpenGapps
- Rebooted to the new Phoenis OS and voilà!
I then proceeded to re-install some key apps from the Play Store and started playing with it..
First off, everything works: Wifi, Bluetooth, etc. I don't see a great difference in speed or battery life compared to RemixOS.
The window manager reminds me a lot of KDE (see screenshots attached) while the notification panel, on the right hand side takes it cue from Samsung TouchWiz, i feel - I will let you decide if it is a good thing or not
Overall, the system is robust. I am still going to go back to RemixOS, I think, for one reason. Somehow, the way apps behave in floating windows feel a bit erratic.. Resizing the window does not systematically force the app to reload while other apps seem to reload all the time when not re-sizing.
Also, while it is great that PhoenixOS offers to change the display density (thus resolution), a feature Remix OS doesn't offer, I wonder whether it has an impact on the rendering of apps in window mode and might affect them.
A last point: PhoenixOS provides the ability to change mode to full Android just by clicking an icon: this brings you outside the Desktop mode and into the "normal" Android (5.1) interface. While some people might find this a nice feature, since it is NOT possible to change the default launcher, it feels a little pointless..
So, all in all, for now I think I am going to go back to Remix and I reserve the right to flash PhoenixOS again.
Looking forward to hearing you experience and your views!

Is it still possible to get this working on a Nexus 10? I follow your steps but as soon as Phoenix OS boots I receive error messages of Google Services crashing.
Thanks!

[ROM] VanillaDroid v1.0

VanillaDroid v1.0
Based on my eris21official-root ROM.
What's new?
- Sense removed (almost, had to keep a few things such as HtcContacts for FB syncing to work)
- Android lockscreen
- Vanilla keyboard
- DialerOne (removed HTC dialer)
- Nexus Music app replaced HTC music
- Added PDFViewer (since I removed it from my first rom)
- Wireless tethering installed stock
- Live Wallpapers
- Custom bootscreen
- Better Alarm (Nexus Alarm app port, since HTC alarm won't work without the HTC lockscreen)
- JIT dalvik executables (boosts performance, average 3.5Mflops vs 2.5Mflops without)
- OTA updates disabled
- Other misc minor things
I'm not guaranteeing EVERYTHING works 100% without Sense, but I haven't run into any problems myself. You'll notice there's almost 15MB free on your system partition as opposed to maybe 1 or 2MB free with most roms.

GrdLock's ROMs Download Page (VanillaDroidv1.zip)
(Click a banner on the download page before you download to support me!)
Installation:
- Place file on sdcard
- Reboot into recovery
- Do Nand backup (just incase!)
- Wipe data/dalvik
- Flash from zip
Removing JIT executables:
If you experience stability issues that get in the way of doing something, you can remove the JIT executables using JIT-remove.zip that is on my website. Simply flash it from the recovery partition without wiping anything.
EDIT: Just an FYI, the wallpaper in the screenshots isn't a live wallpaper. I included one live wallpaper that is one of my fav's that you can enable, and more that work can be found in the market.
EDIT2: I ditched my old host and am hosting the website on a new server. Those of you who have experienced download troubles from it shouldn't have to worry anymore.
Very nice, good job!
Sweetness. Am testing it as we speak and so far its hot. Thank GrdLock!
edit: This may have already been done, But could a patch be written to
replace the HTC music app with the nexus one app on other Roms?
Looks very nice GrdLock, I'm glad to see ROM's starting to pop up. Now The actual fun may commence with our Eris'!
Anyway we could get you to port this over to the cdma hero?
Wow, can't wait to flash it. Thx for all the hard work.
UUGGHH!!!!!!
I have the 2.1 leak and this is seriously making me want to use the "smash eris with a rock" method of getting root!
Thank you and keep up the good work!
Any chance we can get a mirror on multiupload?
I'm having trouble getting the zip from your server it gets to about 40-60 MB then I'm getting size mismatch errors in "Download Them All!". Regular downloading just stops at about the same point as well. I've been trying since there was only 1 download shown on your site now there's about 94. :\
Downlad site
My downloads never finish from your download site. Internet Explorer 8 doesn't even start, it just opens the download screen and then finishes right away, and in Firefox, it gets about 70-80% and then finishes incomplete? Any ideas?

My host just sent me an email saying the issue has been resolved.
Try the download again and let me know if you're still having the problem. If so, send me a PM with your IP so I can give it to my host to point it out.
Problem..
I am also having problems with my downloads not finishing. my ip is :24.179.229.209 . I also tried several times downloading from my main pc and my phone, which I dont have the ips for, with the same result. Maybe try uploading to another site like rapidshare or something? Keep us posted, want this cool rom bad.
Lukifer
Having the same problems as others. I can only download 60-70mb before it just stops. I've tried firefox and ie. No luck.
Tried installing it but having a problem. It can't open the package (bad) and Installation aborted. Looking forward for this ROM
i just downloaded it and had no troubles ,, flashing now just wanted to say thanx for ur hard work
Also, those who are having download problems... are you on slow connections?
I usually get 1-1.5 MB down on a good torrent. Trying DL again. I on the other hand have not had this problem before when downloading from your site.

How many levels of compatibility does this have? Sorry, couldn't resist. Specs sound good, more choices are always great! Rock on!

super fast, however: i see that there's a cifs.ko in system/lib/modules that doesn't seem to like cifsmanager. am i missing something here or was cifs support nit included in this build?

Nice
First of all, thanks to all the devs that put time and knowlegde into these great roms. This is a speedy rom, but miren browser kept freezing my tablet and forced me to reboot. The final time it froze, the tablet is completely unresoponsive... just going to let it die and play around with this rom a little more. I definitely have a problem with miren though.
After waiting 5 minutes, give or take, my tablet did shutdown. Just restarted and since I installed this rom, my hard home button does not function. The other buttons work great, but the home button does not. All the soft keys work. Tried the titanium backup market fix to no avail. Never got market to give me an error. Love the rom... Keep up the great work
Content on sdcard - Garbage after reboot
Not sure if this is just me or something in the ROM. After a reboot, it took more than 5 minutes to finishing scanning user internal storage. The notification indicated "Checking Sdcard for Errors". After this finished, all of my data is just garbage. I have switched between CM7 and VTb5.1 without problems.

Thanks. For the market, go to Settings>Appilcations>System Appilcations and Clear the Cache for the Market and Force Close it. Then go down to Google Services Framework and do the same. Then go to the market and you should get the force close. Reboot and you'll be up and running.
for the market to work correctly the last part about the google framework is incorrect. instead of clear cache you need to clear data instead. then force close, open market, receive error, and reboot.
should be good to go then...

Yes there are two links on the first post
Had to run the market hack twice, but it finally worked... Thanks all! This rom is quite responsive... Coming from vegan 5.1, I am enjoying the web browisng better as far as finger scrolling and screen responsiveness... have not attempted to use miren browser again, but will update as soon as I do.... Excellent rom
I'm taking it for a spin and so far so good.
Got Market to work with your fix... Thanks!
I usually run TnTlite 4.1 but decided to give this a try.
nvflash, wipe everything and start from scratch as usual.
clockworkmod .8
installed this rom without any problem
titanium backup opens, gets superuser permission as usual, then I am greeted with the following message:
BusyBox works but the "su" command does not elevate to root: "whoami" reports "whoami: applet not found" instead of root/uid0. I think your "Superuser Whitelist" system app does not work. Please check with your ROM provider.
I tried reinstalling this rom but get the same message, any ideas?
edit: also the search and home buttons do not work anymore
I had this problem. It asked if I wanted to fix it. I did and then everything worked fine. See if that works for you. Anyone have a fix for the hard home button yet?

[ROM][BL1.1] VEGAn-TAB GingerEdition STABLE RC1 [UPDATED - 4/11]

***ATTENTION IF YOU ARE COMING FROM A 4349+ STOCK ROM or MOD based off that PLEASE VISIT THE FOLLOWING LINK TO DOWNGRADE YOUR BOOTLOADER AND TNT VERSION BEFORE FLASHING CWM AND THIS OR ANY OTHER ROM****
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1036956
VEGAn-TAB GingerEdition STABLE RC1
RC1? What happened to BETA? I skipped it... this was a MAJOR overhaul of code and features (this is one reason it has been a month since the experimentals stopped) and has really reached the stable build point. So what's missing? Nothing except High Definition Video Hardware Decoding... not sure if we will ever get that one working right on Gingerbread. Here are some of the feature additions and changes that have been done since the last Experimental:
* Uses the latest Pershoot kernel as of 04/09 - (install any modules you need using the instruction set at the bottom of this post ***most don't need this additional functionality***)
* Switched over to newer Camera Rotation Fix
* Added Tablet Friendly Launcher VTL.Launcher to the launcher options
* Screenshots/DDMS fixed via several commits to Nvidia GIT etc.
* Added in the External Storage Format and Unmount
* Pulled in the Tablet Tweaks
* Modified Tablet Tweaks to not Break our Device or Google API's
* Fixed up the Fullscreen handling issue
* Edited Statusbar buttons to fit with VEGAn-TAB Styling
* Newer Boot Animation - lowered quality to improve boot performance and speed
* Fixed layout of Launcher and added settings to settings page if default
* Added basic Google Apps to avoid confusion
* Added Tablet version of Quick Office
* Added Basic Tablet Keyboard Layout for English version of Gingerbread Keyboard
* Changed Default Browser User Agent to Desktop
* Added code to remove Phone Settings without losing market functionality
* Lot's of code cleanups and minor bug fixes
The Google apps has already been applied. Market WILL NOT SHOW in app drawer until you CONNECT TO A WIRELESS NETWORK. ONLY THE APPS THAT YOU CAN'T GET FROM THE MARKET ARE INSTALLED. Stuff like GMAIL, MAPS, etc. need installed through market. This way you will easily stay up to date on those apps. MY APPS in the market WORKS if it doesn't for you then you have restored something you shouldn't data or app wise or not followed the directions correctly.
Also installed is the QuickOfficeHD (pulled from adam).
SINCE THIS IS A MAJOR RELEASE VERSION - NO MATTER THE ROM YOU ARE COMING FROM YOU MUST WIPE DATA! - Use Titanium Backup or similar to save app data. HOWEVER do NOT restore any system app data.... ie. Wireless Settings, CMParts Setting, etc.
After the first boot, and all the setup screens, PROMPTLYreboot the tablet to finish installation.
Install this using CWM 0.8 only at the moment. Till we can figure out why some tablets have issues with newer CWM versions.
****The Latest Flash player from the market now works. Latest google maps now works download from the market.****
Internal Memory is mapped to SDCard and external SD Card is mapped to SDCard2.
Quadrant = 2100
Nenamark = 41 fps

MD5: a90c97381d156ed5f43cdd2030472689 VEGAn-GE-7.0.0-RC1-Harmony-signed.zip
I am going to work on a more specialized installation instructions set soon I think. Installation is just like the experimentals through CWM wipe data/cache/dalvik... no exceptions. It could take up to 5 minutes to boot the first time as it is building the dalvik database and cache. Remember to reboot after first boot and setup screens to finish installation. ---- If you have issues booting the first time (ie. boot loops) and you have never run any other gingerbread build before then you probably need to NVFLASH to stock before you can run any GingerBread builds as there is a partition issue from factory on your device.... NVFLASH to stock will repartition everything for you.
Bug Reports can be done here in the forum for now... though I am working on http://vegantab.gojimi.com/bugtracker but we are having some issues with new user signups at the moment.

visit pershoots blog and find the latest post about gtab/zpad kernel: http://droidbasement.com/db-blog/
find the following and download:
lib-2632.36.tar.gz (kernel modules)
Download: lib-2632.36.tar.gz
To use one of the kernel modules:
Pull the one you want from lib-2632.36.tar.gz (winrar can open this),
adb remount

Can't wait to get off work to install
Thanks Gojimi.
Does this support location via wifi?>
Will the android market web page recognize this like it does VeganTab 5.1.1? That has been wonderful for getting some things to install that the market just wouldn't pick up through a search on the tab for something reason (like Samurai 2).

And here I thought VeganGinger would die off since CM7 looked so nice.
Crap!!! Now I've got to set it up ALL OVER AGAIN!
Just Kidding. It looks awesome and I'll happily Wipe data and start over for this.
whats the recomended kernel for this?
Curious what kernel this is built on also. Any plans for hardware video acceleration? Sorry had to ask.
Between this and CM7 stable release for harmony there is so much to try.
it is good stuffs for me so far. Wish the lockscreen was full size and the camera worked properly but other than that it is good stuff
gojimi. Bless you...and DAMN you! I just got CM7 loaded the way I like it. Downloading now...
switched to rotary revamped lockscreen and it messed up. the lockscreen is half the screen size and doesnt allow me to unlock, wtf do I do?

*with R13 certain builds of google apps will cause a no boot situation if you wipe /data and install the rom and gapps together before booting android. Setup wizard craps out and never gives you a usable system. TO FIX: wipe data and cache, install rom, then boot to android BEFORE flashing gapps. from android reboot to recovery and install gapps and you'll be golden.

Awesome! Eager to flash on two of this puppies. Thanks for giving us hope here!

Be sure to leave me some feedback
A few things I noticed:
- External micro SD detects in storage including size of card, freespace, etc but won't let me do anything beyond that. Titanium Backup won't detect the card at all. I can write files to it on Windows 7 but it won't let me read files from it.
- Same sound issue as on the 4.3 ROMs (up pitch audio). Tested with YouTube.
- Other stuff outside of camera and NFC seem to work just fine from testing.
Clean flash using the latest CWM for the Sero 7 Pro.
Here's a really cool tool you can use to make everything odex for runtime art to work better.. it does work and its freaking awesome.. just read the info and install it

Downloading as we speak. I Don't use the camera or nfc much right now anyway so i'll give it a run. I admire all of the work that's been done with this. I wish I had the time to learn all the intricacies and inner workings to be able to contribute.
For some reason when I go to install, I get stuck in a boot loop. I'll mess with it when I get home and see. Trying to do this while at work.

I was only able to test for 5 min this morning but here's what I noticed:
1. HDMI is broken as it was in jellytime, all output is forced portrait.
2. When using the tablet in landscape the text of the icons on the home screen are cut off. Probably an alignment issue.

I did a clean install 30 minutes ago with the full Gapps package and my keyboard swipe works just fine.
Wow, this is so much better than the previous build. You deserve a beer.
I don't use NFC or camera that much. So this is almost ready as my daily driver. Could you make fixing the SD card issue your next target?
Thanks.
About to test drive this as my first rom for my brand new s7p. Will report back if I have any issues that haven't been mentioned yet.
ETA: Nvm, can't figure out how to mount the sdcard to throw those zips on it. My buddy I bought this from rooted it for me so it's running CWM 6something already. Can't mount sd from recovery, can't paste files when connected normally as I get some sort of error about the device being disconnected.
going to try this out. what seems to be the problem with camera? is it the modules? or something else? have you tried vermagic and repacking them as a zip?

I'm pretty sure the root is fine. It's windows not recognizing the device properly for some reason.
I am really liking the fact that I can run 4.4 on this tablet. One bug I have run into however is that I can't get .mp3 files to play from memory using Apollo or Google music player. When I try to play a song the system freezes.
I'm not complaining though! Just wanted to report a bug.

Fix Google Play Store after flashing 14S firmware (+ ROOT + Xposed)

I have no permission to reply in the actual development thread, so I'll post here for people who run into the same problem. I started with 13S firmware my phone came with and followed the "TWRP+ root + 14S" guide by julianhrojas (thanks!). I had no problem flashing TWRP and 14S. However, Google Play Store won't work, as Google Play services force closes whenever I try to add Google account. I tried flashing multiple times, wiping everything including internal SD as well as different versions of Open GApps (Pico, Nano, Mini...) to the same result. What saved me was the Play Store installer for MIUI devices (2.0) available here:
xiaomitips.com/download/google-installer-app
Note that I installed this APK on a clean install of 14S firmware (I didn't test if it can fix previously flashed Open GApps Pico package).
I was then able to flash SuperSU and get a fully functional root. This allowed me to get rid of all the LeEco bloatware (for now I just frozen most of the stuff with Titanium Backup).
I also flashed Xposed framework ( dl-xda.xposed.info/framework/sdk23/arm64/xposed-v84-sdk23-arm64.zip ) which reports itself as working fine, though I didn't really get to test any modules yet.
I installed Nova Launcher, AdAway and the phone feels really great now!
Great tip....worked for me THANKS
Hey Mate,
I just bought the Le Max 2 from honorbuy. It will arrive in a few days. I really want to have the latest possible stable firmware for this phone and I want to disable some of the LeTV features, too.
Is it possible (with/without root) to disable the LeTV-Feed-Page to the left ? (The one that looks like the HTC BlinkFeed) Also, is it possible to install a rom without any LeTV apps ? And install the normal gApps? (I'd really like to choose a version like I did with my other phones. Because all I need is gmail, playstore+games and maps)
Or is it possible to simply delete the LeTV apps out of the system ? I also bought Titanium Backup, but I want to get raid of them completely.
I am scared of bricking my phone directly when it comes, but I am more scared of a freaking annoying OS. I Hope there is a way to enjoy just a regulär android feeling.
Thanks in advance
I don't even know what LeTV Feed-Page you mean After a few days of using the phone I can confirm that the bloatware can be disabled (i.e. frozen) rather painlessly and without negative side effects. I didn't see any option to modify the middle LeTV docker icon in the stock launcher, so I just went with Nova Launcher. After that I didn't run into any LeEco-system specific apps anymore, unexpected messages in Chinese nor suddenly force closing system apps. Pretty much basic Android experience! No issues with Google Apps. And no need to register LeEco account.
This was done with TB on a rooted phone. I didn't investigate, but I think it is possible to disable system apps even without root, so you may want to check how far that gets you. Also, as a safety mechanism to keep in mind, after you flash TWRP (which is a part of rooting process), you can easily create a full backup image and restore from it if you accidentally mess up something with Titanium Backup.
And yes, you should be able to fully uninstall frozen LeTV apps with TB to reclaim space taken by them. I didn't do that still, so that I can quickly reenable them when I find some feature that doesn't work anymore. But so far, so good.
Hopefully, someone with more skill will be able to prepare debloated ROMs in the future.
I'm attaching pics with a list of LeEco apps that I have safely frozen, should be helpful. Just don't disable LeEco home launcher nor Sogou input (keyboard) until you install their replacements!

Hi all,
A friend has just grabbed one of these. Looks really cool... Interesting with the Type c earphones. Wow!
Anyway, I said, I'd put GAPPS on for him as I do for many other phones.
Quick question for you all - will I need to unlock and root etc? or can I just use the xiaomi option through baidu?
Cheers.

Xiaomi Google Play Store installer doesn't require root. Just download and install the APK.
You beauty. Although, it's never quite that simple when you're in China... VPN's and stuff, but I figured as much. Should be fun to play around with - think I'll get my hands on it tomorrow.
hello sorry for the language use of a translator, I run your guide XPose but it does not work (to the start screen gives me error caricamanto eui) you have info about it? thank you
I've tried the Google installer from Miui but I get stucked on the Google Calendar sync or/and Google calendar. And that's exactly the calender that's not working(syncing) on my le-max 2 with stock 13s and I want to fix.
Do I have to flash and root to 14s? I have no PC so I cannot do that.

I had the same issue but managed to get Calendar sync working once I installed Google Calendar. You can get Google Calendar Sync and Google Contacts Sync APKs from APK Mirror.
