Hey someone plz make a video how to to root aditya v3 rom - Galaxy Grand 2 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

how to root ROM !! no you cant root a ROM. you have to root your android system to gain access over superuser. You should have searched google before posting here.. anyways watch below links and root your phone and then install whatever ROM you want, do it as directed dont brick your phone and waste your money.
First you have to root your phone, watch this video and also download the stuff from description >> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VOKnM3M-zN8
in this video CWM recovery is used, but you can also use TWRP recovery because it works better download it from forum
download whatever ROM you want
here's the video to install ROM, in this video he is installing some other ROM but you should install your downloaded ROM, steps are same https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oeoK83cD8iY
My advice is to watch tens of videos and learn from them

Where to find Root guide and recovery guide.

I have rooted and flashed recoveries to my fair share of Android phones, but all have slightly different methods, my friend recently bought a GT540 and wants to update to atleast Android 2.2 so he can install apps to his SD card since his internal storage is full, he doesn't know much about Android and I suggested that I will take his phone and root etc and put either 2.2 or 2.3 on it for him, I have seen the ROMs available and thats all fine and dandy but need a root guide and flashing recovery guide please.
Thanks in advance.
for rooting download z4root, search in google. recovery.img look here. and for flashing it download my app, Root Toolbox below. place the recovery.img in the root of you sdcard and rename it recovery.img(/sdcard/recovery.img). go into advanced and click flash recovery. wait a few seconds and it will be done. go to the reboot menu and click reboot recovery. you may need to unlock it first by flashing a fastboot rom with kdz updater, not shore though.

Ops...I am stuck without root....

So here it goes...I was in bed today (in my Country it's holiday, everything is closed) I picked up the phone and I found a notification about an update came available....I said OMG they finally put ICS for download? So I downloaded it. it didn't go well (over wifi), phone said I had to use Kies and the pc. So I went to the pc, used kies and updated it.
UNFORTUNATELY (I am dumb) that was not ICS. I was too sleepy to understand that 72 MB maybe weren't enough....so.....now I am without root. I had no idea an update could get my root away. At the beginning I had the galaxy note with stock rom + root (the KKA switzerland kernel). Now I am stuck with a LA6 kernel, which CAN'T be rooted, am I right?
I should downgrade to stock rom, root again, and then manually install ICS with odin. I can't install directly ICS because I have no root at the moment. To have root, I have to downgrade. To downgrade, I have to wipe the phone and put another rom.
Another rom = every data lost, because WITHOUT root, I can't use titanium pro and make a backup of all the games and saved data etc etc.....
so......how do I get out of this? Am I missing something?
can't I just use ODIN from pc and put the ICS rom with odin (pc software) ? as in this thread post #2 http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1424997
do you have nandroid backup?

no, and I don't know it. The backups I ever made are the ones with titanium for the apps, and clockworkmod for the roms. Both can't be used at the moment....with no root...
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1331784
post #5 has the link for LA6 CF kernel ... u need to flash it with PC Odin
they write in that thread that you can't use odin.... ?!?
post #1 include a link to Odin .... and where did you read that Odin is not to be use?

well...download link in post 5: See the second post of the thread for flashing instructions. If you're thinking about using ODIN to do it, you should probably read that post.
second post: "DO NOT USE ODIN TO FLASH THE KERNEL ! This is the annoying part. There are three different methods:"
Anyway will the procedure from that LA6 file get me the root again on my actual rom without needing to use another rom / wipe / lost data?
ahhh ... the other way around is to flash hardcore speedmod kernel ...
make sure u download the odin version and not the cwm one...
flash it with Odin

I'm sorry....i normally always manage to do everything....but in that thread I only find CWM files...that are not to be used with odin....I am just trying to get root on my actual ****ty LA6 thing...so that I can begin with the ICS installation. I should have never updated from KKA to LA6 ! I am losing the whole morning trying to get back the root.
no frets... LA6 is now directly rootable..
follow instructions on this link
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1535025
Ok...I will also follow that video tutorial with odin....anyway I don't get, if it isn't a WIPE rom, why does one need to get 500 MB just to get root? It's getting forever...the hosting is really slow.
I hope I can get out of this uncomfortable situation...
I lost root after this upgrade on my UK note.
I tracked down a self-extracting zip called unlockroot23-eng.exe which I understand contains a root prog called zerg rush.
When I ran the package it errored several times because files it was trying to copy on were already there (presumably from the earlier rooting) but by the time it finished I had root back.
I've only had my Note about a week so perhaps someone with more experience can comment on this method - ie: whether it's to be recommended and the download location as I am stuck in a hospital bed at the moment.
hey i got the root back with the method in the links provided...I had to download 500 MB for apparently 'nothing' but I am happy to have the root back...chainfire and stuff work properly and detect the super user and I had nothing changed...all apps with my rom bla bla bla. So I am going over to install the official ICS rom now that I have root....then I'll see to root the ICS rom

Why did you need all this hassle to get your root back just to flash stock ICS?
You could've done it without root as well.
How? The method I wanted to use was with ODIN and ODIN could not run without root access. Anyway I won't install ICS, the thing about bugs and bricking don't sound good...I'll wait an official update.
With the update to LA6 I also lost clockworkmod....I installed it from the market, but to install the recovery part I must flash it with ADB or is there a safer and easier way? I don't want to type something wrong, and I don't want to mess that counter with ODIN.

[Q] Can't Enter Recovery Mode to do anything

Hi,
I need a little help as I am a complete noob and have just crash landed into the world of Rooted Roms.
I recently rooted my stock 4.0.3 ICS rom for my Iconia tab A500, using blackthund3r_ICS_Root_6.0. It worked brilliantly as far as I can tell. The Superuser function is there and I even deleted some of the annoying stock games that are on the stock ROM.
As the next step, I installed the Acer Recovery
However, I am interested in trying a leaner custom ROM in order to improve the performance of my tab, so I downloaded the Acer Recovery Installer from the Play store. I chose the Recovery version CWM rev1.7 by thor2002ro (for ICS Bootloader) and clicked on the install Recovery Image.
When I clicked on the Reboot into recovery mode because I wanted to back up my ROM and eventually install a leaner faster ROM, I got the following error message:
Booting recovery kernel image
Recovery verified failed ...
Anyone have any suggestions to help me out?
Thanks in advance for your help and putting up with my Noobish ways!!!!

sounds like your rooted correctly if u cud install the recovery file, but u should use thors cwm 1.7.3 to flash roms because it supports aroma installer which the newer roms use. did u get message from acer RI saying recovery installed?
u can find cwm 1.7.3 by thor here .
just put the zip from that link on ur sd card
if u can get into the recovery you installed.
choose install zip from sd in your cwm menus and select the zip.
let it finish then reboot.
viola! you have updated your recovery and shud be able to make the backup u need.
it is what i used.
if u cant get into recovery yet try turning off your tab
power it on and hold the volume down button.( the volume rocker side closest to the power button)
hold them to u see the white righting in the upper right corner of your acer screen
if u get in, update.
if u still cant get into recovery. try one of those other recoveries
try to install thors cwm 1.7.3 zip from there.
if u like i cud point u to some roms ive tried, since we have the same tab. happy to help.
Hi shadowmikeshadow;41918411
I will give it a go and tell you if it worked. Thanks for your advice. After all I could use all the help I can get. I am totally new and clueless to this whole rooting thing. I've only had my tablet for about 9 months and I got tired of all the lags and thought it was time to root and get rid of all the bloatware.
I really appreciate all the support you profis out there are offering. In general this whole site is GREAT!!!!!
np man im happy to help. well get u goin for sure
also couldnt hurt to double check your root with root checker(free app) could be making ur AcerRI not work correctly
and if u still cant get it to work and u are rooted correct theres still more we can do. its just more complex so try those first..
Do I have to do anything with this Recovery zip file that you suggested. I put it on my SD card and rebooted in Recovery mode and I still get the same error.
Please keep in mind I am complete Noob at this.
Thanks.
So if u can't get any recovery working install that zip via adb.
u can download this so u won't need android sdk.
follow all the instructions on the platformer page.
If everything went OK and adb sees your device
Follow this guide for adb here
but use the recovery from the zip in earlier reply.
Still desperate

Hi Everyone,
As of posting this original thread above I am still stuck in limbo. I have read, read, and read and am more confused then ever.
There are so many suggestions out there and I dont know what to do.
My problem is this: I have no way to enter the recovery mode to do anything (flash a new ROM or Stock)
If someone out there has the time and patience to help me and can talk me through step by step how to fix this problem, it would be highly appreciated.
Thanks for your understanding and support.

Do you know how to do that?
I can't find on Google realyble source
The simplest way would be to flash twrp using Odin. Then use twrp to flash the custom ROM. You'll need a computer to do this.
Kingroot does not root NOTE3 (at least not new firmwares) so far I know.

seriously? would you explain how to do that?
To flash a custom ROM, you could use Odin to flash TWRP and then flash a custom ROM from TWRP. I have used this procedure on the note 2, note 3, s3, and s4.
Afaik, only the USA note 3, other than the T-Mobile note 3, have locked bootloaders.
As above.
Some roms are rooted.
