[Q] Galaxy S5 Ultra Power Saving Mode blank screen.

Hi guys. I've checked everywhere for an answer but to no avail. I have a rooted S5 and using RomToolbox I have been removing unwanted bloatware. Somehow, 3 times now, I have inadvertantly caused an error with the Ultra Power Saving Mode. When I enter UPSM I get a blank screen and cannot exit out of it. Tried restarting, no go. Tried Safe mode, no go either. I am using Dodol launcher and so have most likely removed or frozen Touchwiz home. Could this be the issue. I don't want to try it again just in case, but if anybody could shed some light that would be great! What process or causes UPSM to crash??
Thanks!

I was having the same issue with UPSM. Every time I turned it on I would get a black screen, and I couldn't get out of it without doing a hard reset of the phone. After some experimenting I discovered that UPSM relies on another system app called "S Launcher". If you have either frozen or uninstalled it then UPSM will not work properly, and you'll get the dreaded black screen.
Hope this helps.

Hi, I have a black screen on my s5 also.
It did start after I had the phone in power saving mode (not ultra PSM)
It was not instant, I had some freezes to black first. I also had that happening before I was using PSM. I did an Odin back to stock but no luck.
My question is, if I froze an app or service and it created my issue would flashing back to stock fix that? I would have thought it would but idk.
Thanks.
For the record:
The at$t service center reflashed my phone and the screen works again.
IDK why me flashing stock with odin did not work.

I think i wrecked my phone. Need help ASAP

Ok so today was my first time trying to root and put a rom on my phone, rooting worked out great. but I tried using flashify to load a rom (slimbean) on my i337 S4 now whenever it boots it sometimes shows a grey bar with 2 shades of grey and/or the samsun galaxy s4 logo with "kernel is not seandroid enforcing" on the top left and then the screen cuts straight to black and it appears that my phone is turned off. Happens every time, how can i fix this?
That's because you probably can't flash that rom.
You need to look up information about safestrap in the section for you phone, the i337.
If you want to get your phone working again, just flash a stock rom.

Galaxy Note 3 OC1- Wont Boot After Trying To Flash OC2

Rebooting phone, shows Samsung logo, then black screen! Help D:
I was on OC1 from Walter.White, and then I tried rebooting into Safestrap to flash the stagefright fix and OC2 but I didn't even make it to there.
I'm stuck on a black screen right after the Samsung Galaxy screen goes away.

Samsung Galaxy SM-A500FU freeze in recovery mode - Green fading screen/glitched

Hello
I have a rooted Galaxy A5 with stock Lollipop 5.0.2 installed. Lately I've been trying to figure out how to install the Xposed framework and Xprivacy. So I was reading something about having the bootloader unlocked before doing a TWRP recovery and I couldn't find a way to see if my phone has it unlocked or not.
I was then thinking that maybe I can find some info about this if I enter recovery mode (been a long time since I rooted and can't remeber much) and so I turned my phone off and held down volume up, home button and power button.
Samsung logo shows up and everything seems fine at first. The screen then goes black with bright green pixels and lines slowly fading in and the samsung logo again as well, slightý visible behind this green mess that now covers the screen. It then slowly fades back to black with a few grey lines visible and nothing happens. I panic and and hold down the same buttons again and fortunately it rebooted like normal.
I have never had a problem with this phone or the stock firmware that I'm using (before root it was swedish/scandinavian, now uk I believe.)
What's going on and what to do? Can frozen apps affect any of this?
