[Mod] Extended Power Menu

Hello Guy's
After studying this ( a big thanks to untermensch ) i decided to make it happen and so i did ... and here it is:
Extended Power Menu ( Added Reboot, Recovery, and Download)
Requisites:
- Stock Deodexed DDKQ8/XWKTM Stock Rom
How To Install:
1st - Download File || LINK ||
2nd - Copy to Your SD-Card
3rd - Flash it From Recovery, Done
4th - [Recomendation] Make a Backup Before Flashing
Some Notes:
- I am not responsible for any harm that your phone may suffer! this was tested by me and it work's
- This Will Erase Any Theming you have since i maid this from stock framework

- A pair of open eyes and attention!
How To Install:
1st - Download File || LINK ||
2nd - Extract it to whatever directory u want
3rd - You'll Find 3 Files (android.policy.jar ; framework.jar ; framework-res.apk) copy all 3 of them to your sd-card.
4th - [I Recommend Root Explorer] Using Root Explorer copy all three files from your sdcard to /System and here change the permission's on the three of them to look like the picture below.
5th - After permissions changed copy the three files to \system\framework ... when prompt, replace the asked files.
6th - Done, Reboot, After phone rebooted you'll have extended power menu, Enjoy
Some Notes:

If u dont know what's root or deodex or explore "/system" then u shouldn't be doing this ... but i'll leave u a help below

Updated Thread

Power off is at the bottom because you placed the GlobalActions$4 below the Download option. Which is either GlobalActions$9 or GlobalActions$10 or GlobalActions$11. Edit GlobalActions.smali
Put it above the Reboot option

2. Run FT
3. Select scatter

1. In the FT click twice on the "FAC" and select fac.img
2. You can always flash the old.

Congrats!! KitKat 4.4.4 has build finally (nightly) ,based on cm11.

Need help for my lenovo Ideatab A3000 bootloop
Here's the whole story , I need to change build.prop to get apps for my tab that is not compatible . now I changed it using Es Explorer and i'm rooted I changed the Device model and brand something like that . then I read on the net that after changing build.prop reboot your device . Now i reboot my device then the whole lenovo logo goes landscape the boom I'm STUCKED! NOOO IM BOOT LOOP. Now for the most Easies way to do is to APPLY UPDATE FROM SD CARD . The question is Can someone give me the ZIP FILE like I just download it and put on my sd card then insert my sd card then Power + Volume up choose Recovery then "APPLY UPDATE FROM SD CARD" And just choose the Zip file. Please Help me Guys . THe only thing I changed is the build.prop I haven't changed the ROM . ONLY BUILD.PROP TO RECOVER!!

What does this tool do?
Simply, it takes screen shot through adb shell action and pull the resulted image file directly to your computer, then it removes all traces from android device.
From which android screen this tool is capable to take picture from?
From both android OS and Recovery mode.
What are the basic binaries used in this tool?
- The built in screencap binary for taking screen shots from Android OS.
- fb2png binary for taking screen shots from Android Recovery mode. This binary is developed by Kyan.ql (You can visit the project page from here).
How can I use this tool?
It is simple:
1) Make sure you have turned on your device USB debugging mode.
2) Connect your device to your computer by USB cable.
3) Run the tool by clicking on ScreenCap.bat
N.B: You should reboot into recovery mode in order to take screen shots from recovery mode.

4) After taking screen shot, it will be saved in ScreenCapture folder.

ffmpeg can work on some devices recovery if you got the right switches.. In my phone, mmpeg takes pic from recovery but not clean one. So this one is better..

upto my knowledge; no.. since you can't use adb in that mode.!!
but my question is: Why you want to do so? can you theme download mode???

The problem with download mode or fastboot mode, is that some shell commands don't work; only those to flash, erase, format..etc
But who knows, may be in near future some dev can do it for us...

Just to let you know, when trying to take several screenshot (take screenshot from recovery), it names each the same name so that next screenshot would overwrite the first one, I had to rename every photo to prevent overwriting.

Just checked,, and it is working fine in my end.. It could be again different cmd and different syntax.. I will update the OP with new one with new syntax that supports new cmd release..

my device condition same as above. but, although there's no problem with my device being detected, the screenshots are no good. i rebooted and tried again. see screenshots. the os ones are fine, as you will see...

I think you need to update your usb driver, since "no device found" has nothing to do with the tool

It is the fb2png binary,,, I will see if I can come up with new way to get screenshot from recovery

It seems a lot of works by developers in this matter,,, unfortunately it seems not universal in between OEM to take screenshot in recovery,,,
Try to use modified fb2png by @Phil3759, put it in tools folder and see

2.Extract my bootsamsung.qmg from the file below
3.Push it to /system/media
4.Set the permissions of bootsamsung.qmg to rw-r--r-- (if it isn´t already)
5.Reboot and enjoy

Yes, it should work on 10.1 versions 100% (I have the P5200 )

I would really like to solve the problem but what is the problem.
Do you see on Tab3 7.0 just a black screen or a wrong scaled bootanimation !?
And I've searched on google about bootanimations on the 7.0 variant and found out, they're using .zip's
This means a 7.0 device shouldn't even boot with my .qmg bootanimation
I'm a little bit confused :silly: :silly: lol

its working totally fine, just the wrong scaling
and i tried many qmg files
so its totally fine
and i am on kitkat fw so that might the real reason behind this bootanimations working

Qmg works in tab 3.
I haven't tried this but can you make zip version scaled for tab 3? It's 600x1024. Thanks

I could scale it to 600x1024 (thursday/friday) but why do you need a .zip ? The 7inch tab uses .qmg (thats what you said)

Yes this works with every free drawing software like irfanview, paint.net, gimp, even microsoft paint should be able to do this job.
Edit:
I meant you can rotate the images inside the bootanimazion.zip .
You cant do this with an already generated .qmg file

No i'm not flashing it. I can use rom toolbox and switch bootanimation.zip easily that way.

In this tut i want to learn how we can download xperia devices roms with IDM from xperi frim tool As you know , we can download any roms with xperi frim but somethimes speed of download is very slow and this tool doesnt have resume/puase option ( in v3.1) therefore i decided to provide this tut
Requirement
1- XperiaFrim : .you can find at http://forum.xda-developers.com/cro...xperifirm-xperia-firmware-downloader-t2834142
2- Notapad or notpad++ : you can find at http://notepad-plus-plus.org/
3- Flashtool : you can find at http://www.flashtool.net/
4- Internet Download Manager : you can find at http://www.internetdownloadmanager.com/
5- HJ-Split : you can find at http://www.hjsplit.org/
Ok lets go:
First open xperi frim for select our device and related roms and double click on it:

In this level select “ copy urls “ for copy all links of rom into clipoard:

Open notpad or notepad++ and paste links:
​
Now add all links into IDM:

And download all files:

Downloaded all files for me:

Its important level here you should seperate files into 2 parts like this:

Some files name without any letter in middle it ( like first 3 files ) and some files has letter in middle it ( like second parts.i show it with red line )
You should rename and remove files format for first and second perts.like this:

Renam​e to:

*** for first part rename all file to:
FILE_281312136
FILE_281784180
FILE_281606041
And wihtout any formats
And second parts rename to :
FILE_281784198.001
FILE_281784198.002
FILE_281784198.003
FILE_281784198.004
FILE_281784198.005
FILE_281784198.006
FILE_281784198.007
With .001 and .002 and .003 and ..... formats
*** for first part format files should be .files and the second part , files format should be .001 and .002 and .003 and ....
Here you need HJ-Split tool for join all files.open it and select join option:

And here select first files ( FILE_281784198.001 ) :

And select output folder:

And wait for join finished:
​
Now you can delete all second parts files ( .001 and .002 , ..... foramts ) and select first parts files & final joind file and move to frimaware folder in flashtools or other location you like it

then open flashtools and go to
Tools / bundles / FILEST Decrypt
​
Then select source file from location and add files:
​
Like this:
​
Select all and move to right ( files to convert part ) then click on convert and wait for decrypt it
When finished , one window was opend.here you shoul fill correct information in blank window
Then select all files from left side and move them to right side and click create:

And wait for make ftf roms:
​
Flashtools now known this rom:

do this ,i found it more easy :
while adding links to idm for downloads.....after u copy links from xperifirm download interface.....goto idm>task>"add batch download from clipboard"
and select all the links ...then finally add each downloads to sync,download
.

But actually, it is possible to select a specific rom and download it within the xperifrim tool, you must click on the version you want and then comes a window where you can download it to a choosen folder and it extracts itself. When it finishes you can create a bundle with the downloaded files with the flashtool

In last version yes but when i make this tut , the veriosn of this tool been 3.0

I don't known that before was not possible. It's better now. I only have written so you can update the stages
I started to use it at version 4.0
