No, but really, saying that a CPU is better than others for a SINGLE test in a SINGLE benchmark is crap
ehi look here! the Exynos 8890 has the best score in single thread! it must be so powerful
http://www1-lw.xda-cdn.com/files/2016/09/Single-core-average-1.png
/sarcasm
don't forget that there's also the GPU, the ram and the storage speed, how it compares vs the other devices?
I'm happy with my Mate 8 and the Kirin 950, is a pretty powerful and efficient cpu, but it's not the best

it IS the best cpu i wasnt talking about ram, gpu or storage (although, funnily, the gpu compute benchmark suite in geekbench 4 shows higher scores than the S7 ), only the cpu. and in that regard, the kirin 950/955 inches its way onto the no. 1 spot. and im talking multicore performance, not single core [emoji14]
besides, cpu performance is actually the main contributing factor (on the hardware side) for everyday operational smoothness. gpu isnt the bottleneck outside of games and ram reaches a performance plateau extremely fast, beyond which theres barely any performance boost. as for storage, that doesnt come into the picture unless ure working with either huge/super complex apps (mostly not the case) or during boot (lots of small file size iops required).
so....yeah. i rest my case ^^

There was plenty of speculation what kind of CPU powered the new iPhone 5 and in the end it turned out to be a custom Apple design. So, how well did the Cupertino-based company did? According to an unverified Geekbench results, A6more than meets the 2x performance increase Apple promised.
The results are nothing short of amazing - the Apple A6 chipset has two custom cores rated at 1GHz with 1GB of RAM and it easily stands up to quad-core Cortex-A9 and dual-core Krait designs running at 1.5GHz.
The iPhone 5 has more than double the CPU performance of the 4S, beating it in every category that Geekbench tests. The RAM has gotten faster too. Even the A5X in the new iPad can't compete (understandable as A5X only improves GPU performance over the A5).
As for high-end Androids, Exynos 4 Quad and Tegra 3 based phones like the Samsung Galaxy S III and the HTC One X manage to outperform the iPhone 5 if they are running Android Jelly Bean. Under Ice Cream Sandwich, the performance of the One X drops down to the levels of the iPhone.
The HTC One S and its two Krait cores manage to match the iPhone 5 under Ice Cream Sandwich, so it should come out slightly ahead.
Just for fun, here's a dual-core Pentium 4 541 (Prescott architecture) downclocked to 2.4GHz matching the performance of the iPhone 5. This CPU came out in Q3 of 2004.
If these benchmark results do turn out to be from the iPhone 5 (results can be faked, so take it with a grain of salt) then Apple must have worked some serious magic. The Apple A6 chipset makes even Krait cores look slow (again, it's 1GHz vs. 1.5GHz).

All with JB leaks beats iPhone 5 score...
i think the benchmarking tool is a bit of weird. The One S also scored 1.5k... Not X but S.... S4 processor. Maybe it does not really use all the 4 cores?
the benchmark tool is useless... its more OS based then anything... change your launcher that u use and u'll get a different score every time...
I think you need to learn how to read geek bench the majority of iPhone 5 score is in fast memory the processor is still pretty slow by itself. Also mod please close this thread all iPhone threads crash and burn.

why people open everyday same **** again again(@OP : Is apple marketing team has ordered open new thread everyday?). the iphone 5 have nothing new. just to say thinnest and tallest (but these kind of models already available years ago. ). If you want compare iphone 5 to galaxy line you have to compare it with galaxy s, sII or galaxy sIII mini. It's not worth it to compare to with sIII.
(By the way iphone5 cpu and memory provided by Samsung.)

I think they used the US S3 which is dual cored, instead of the international S3. That's why the scores are lower.
1.Why post this on here?
2.A newer phone that is somehow faster....really? is that how technology works, well if it is then I guess the SGS4 to be even faster, and the SGS5, and I will go as far to say that the SGS24 will be greater still.
i think a lot of you who post Samsung s3 vs. whatever is insecure and are those who always want to have the best or be the best. People are competitive by nature but being obsessive, wasting your time and energy on products that serve the same purpose is a bit overkill. My advise is to find a cure for the disease you have. I'm not brave enough to install that unsigned apk. I did score almost 58k in the standard antututu. Too be honest both these numbers are a lot lower then what I was thinking. Most of the results were on par with the exynos 5420 other then the mali gpu which scored nearly 20k (double the 5420 mali). Even the storage io numbers weren't radically different Despite their claims of high performance internal storage.
Anyways benchmarks usually only tell a small part of the story and there could be other things at play here that I have yet to discover. I'm hoping we see kernel source for this device soon.
I think this kind of benchmark is more useful and interesting as it correlates with something in real-life, like actual use of the device:

Post your benchmarks here, and no "benchmarks are meaningless", we know that already (though some more and some less).
As far as i can tell 3D performance is on point, absolutely zero lag in console-like games like "oddworld" with full graphics, which is great and promising.

@gadjet can you tell me which firmware (region and customization) do you use)? This is maximum from me right now :crying: And can you place ss from cpuz please; I want to see how fast run s810 at youre device; 1,56 Ghz an mine, and gsmarena write 2ghz?!
edit: strange things happens; now I enter again in cpuz and see tottaly different picture...and shure the better score! (3rd and 4th picture uploaded now)! Any ideas?!
His Proday please find attached, got a 2nd Z5C due to camera blur issue and newv antutu score
Cutting down on processes and uninstalling stuff definitely helps the score.
Just got my Z5C (Central European distribution - namely Czech Republic). Messed around a bit but was not overwhelmed by extraordinary performance. Slight lags here and there, not very impressed.
Ran the Antutu, it gave me quite a poor 53500 score, so I have no idea how you guys squeeze such a high scores from it. Seem like heavily throttled. Do I have an early revision?
Device part number - 1299-1434 Rev1
Customization - 1298-7258
UPDATE: Strange thing, inserted sim card, rebooted, ran again and got 62400, another run 59700.
@OtaruM i think that you have same problem as I. I have flashed firmware for central europe (with flashtool) on mu device and sometimes processor woark on 1.55ghz instead 1.96. Look at my photos higher, install cpu-z and check what happens.
@gadjet really impressive score. Which firmware region do you use?

Hi,
Today it is the second day I am using my z5 Compact. I noticed some lags, so I ran some Benchmarks. Also I noticed, that my Device is running max 1.5Ghz like someone mentioned before.
Devcheck, CPU-z and CPU Times are reporting a 1.5 GHz CPU.
Sent from my E5823 using Tapatalk
Antutu 5.7.1
z5 compact E5823
64bit mode benchmark: 65203 points
ROM version: 32.0.A.4.11
Devcheck also reporting max 1.55 Ghz, governor interactive, I/O cfq.
Not sure if devcheck might only show the frequency of the 4 A53 cores and not the 2ghz of the 4 A57 cores. Or Sony has done some underclocking to address the battery life and overheating issues of the 810. In any case, the benchmark result is pretty good and battery life as well as heat is satisfying (using it now for one week).
The A57 run at 2.0GHz. A53 run at 1.55GHz.

Did anyone try the new v6 Antutu Benchmark?
In normal use and room temperature I only get around 65000 result, which according to the comparison table is far below the listed Z5. Only if I put the phone in my freezer and Bench it in there I can just match the 74k, that the normal Z5 is listed at.
Not too impressed to be honest.
I work in retail and a customer came into the store this morning with a Z3 on 5.1.1 Lollipop. It actually felt snappier than my Z5 Compact. Don't know how that's possible. Sony need to sort out the software optimisation because having an older phone that feels snappier than the new phone is illogical. I'm guessing Sony's software is not properly optimised for the big.LITTLE architecture of the Snapdragon 810. Marshmallow hopefully will fix this!

hmm, thanks for sharing guys. My Wifes galaxy s6 clocks over 60K. These are pretty much same price if looking at the right places. Still very torn but I suspect the 2gb of ram is the main culprit.
My S6E clocked in at 67,000, but it still lagged and stuttered more than my 5X. Also the constant home screen redraws and aggressive RAM management... It all just means that benchmarks don't always show the actual day to day user experience.
You should compare both Antutu results from the S6 and 5X. I'm sure it's probably everything in combination as the S6 has a better processor, RAM amount and type, and graphics processor.

They can't be compared, they are completely different devices from chips set to core / ram count. But maybe the biggest difference is that Samsung devices are "wired" to benchmark @ ridiculous levels. Its basically volkswagen emissions testing; hell I bet they share firmware engineers lol!
The 6p won't be able to push much further than a oneplus two or HTC m9. Next year will be more of an equalizer on chipsets if everyone goes with the snapdragon 820.
Nexus is an experience, IMO, and is all about device control and pushing android to its best levels possible.
Oddly enough, benchmarks vary a lot on my 5x, I suppose it has a lot to do with throttling and what not. I've ran Antutu 3 times and gotten scores of 37,000, 42,000, and 49,000.

Your test seems to lack in 3D performances.
I did not stop any app before I run the bench.
1. don't give a **** about benchmarks
2. use the onboard Smart Doctor before Benchmark
3. Stop all your social waste apps like Facebook or better deinstall it, takes a lot of performance
4. LG G6 Display got a much higher resolution, this needs more performance
5. Oneplus is cheating on Benchmarks
