14 day policy return - Sprint Note 7 Guides, News, & Discussion

Well I walked into my local Sprint store and was told that, sprint has implemented a policy stating that if you are past your 14 day ownership you have to deal directly with Samsung in order to get an exchange of your phone... You cannot get an exchange from the store?
Has anyone experienced this yet...

It hasn't been 14 days could I get all my money back plus the deposit I paid ??

Call sprint and ask.
Can anyone answer my question seriously please I just need to know.

I have found the chat option on sprints site to be a great alternative to a phone call or a trip to the store. but i imagine, the answer is yes you can take the phone back and get your money back. i have done it. there was an htc windows mobile phone years ago i got and took back less than 2 weeks after i bought it. it got horrid reception.
I don't see why you wouldn't just call sprint and ask...

Within the 14 days you should be able to, but I'm 99% certain they will charge you the restocking fee. I don't think there were any other fees.
I thought about leaving when my contact was up last time, but I couldn't find anything better anywhere. Good luck with your switch, hope they let you or without too much hassle.

You can cancel in the 1st 14 days. You will have to pay for the time you used it (a pro-rated ammount) but you will get the rest of the money back + your deposit (if you had to put one down.)
You MIGHT have to pay a restocking fee on the phone and you will lose your $36 line-activation-fee you had to pay too.
Just go into a Sprint store and tell them you are within your 14 days and you want to cancel.
If you return a device on a new line in the first 3 days you pay no service costs but subject to the restocking fee.
After the first 3 days but before 14 then you would still have to pay for the services uo to that point and a restocking fee.
The only way to avoid the restocking fee is if the device is defective.

Lmfao. Seriously dude? Not all of us work for Sprint. FYI, Sprint can answer questions through their forums, E-Mail, walk-in / store call, online chat, calling their customer service line by pressing *2, etc...

It wasn't a smart comment. It was a legitimate statement. I am 100% you could have figured out the answer to your question by doing any of the listed methods that should be the first things you do before asking a question much quicker then posting a thread on XDA and then waiting for responses.
Your question was in regard to Sprint, so why not ask Sprint directly - there's a multitude of ways to contact them. And I know there are plenty people knowledgeable of Sprint's procedures here and I know some people work there as well but your question was for Sprint, what's the point of asking her unless you were unable to get an answer for who knows what reason.

Did it ever occur that he may bounce a few questions off others here in the appropriate place - the forum before contacting the service provider. There is no harm in that; if one might believe so, than simply do not respond.

How about you do your own due diligence instead of expecting someone to "wipe" for you as well. I mean, for the love of everything sensible, this is the sort of question that is solved by contacting the carrier via * 2, walking into a store or via the web. Anyone can say whatever on here (both correct and incorrect) and it wouldn't mean squat because at the end of the day the final decision is (between you and Sprint) the carrier.
Wouldn't you rather get the correct answer from the horse's mouth?
Be quick about it, it is actually only 13 days. They count the day of purchase as the first day so make sure you don't wait to long.
If you don't like the answers that were given, call Sprint. I'm not sure why you didn't just do that in the first place

Sprint said I gotta pay a Cancellation fee even within the 14 days she said it's like 350$ to do that. I'm not going that do I'm just going to stay on Sprint. But I thought I could return and cancel my plan within the 14 days for free. Because mostly all companies are like that
Sent from my SPH-L720 using Tapatalk 4 Beta
They can't make u pay the etf if your still in your 14 days. I'd talk to someone else if u really want to cancel.
Sent from my SPH-L900 using xda premium
They will only still make you pay an etf if the device is damaged

I have a OnePlus 2 invite that will expire 3 September 2015. First person to reply can have it.
Please note you will still have to pay for the device itself.

Small 'blemish' (?) On the screen

On dark backgrounds or pages, sort of low on the screen, I always see a blueish blob apart from the rest of the screen. I've read that could be from pressure but I'm not very sure.. Any ideas? It's fairly annoying.

I had this on both my Nexus 5 and Nexus 7. Those are generally caused by too much pressure on the screen. And apparently happened from the back side of the phone also Did your phone arrived like this?

Mine just started doing it. My spot is redish/pink. It's about a millimeter or 2 in diameter. Can't take my eyes off of it!!!!

What did you end up doing? I have a replacement coming. Thing that sucks is it only appears once in a while and I've had issues with refurbished phones in the past, not from Motorola.

I tried chatting with a Moto rep online a week or so ago, told me to email him and I did, nothing back. I'm gonna call today and actually talk to someone. For me it's always there and it's a deal breaker. I've not heard about many others having this issue so I'm sure it's scant among devices but I'm worried about a refurbished phone having issues. But I'm gonna try calling and see what I can do. Do you have the regular manufacturer warranty or Moto Care?
Sent from my XT1575 using XDA Free mobile app
Regular warranty and I "resolved" it in 10 minutes via a chat session. I just explained the issue and they offered me a replacement right away. I paid $25 for expedited replacement which entails them sending me a refurbished (shipped in 5-6 days) with a $300 hold on my CC and then I have 5 days to return busted phone. That was on the night of the 20th. I'm giving them the benefit of business days and the weekend and hopefully it ships within a few days. I too am Leary of a refurbished phone.

I never got around to calling but, tomorrow I will call, hopefully I'll be able to get a refurbished device. If it at least works as a supposed to, refurbished shouldn't be that bad.

No it shouldn't be at all. In another thread I posted that I had 2 LG G4's in a row with radio issues that left a bad taste in my mouth.

Question - was yours previously rooted before sending it in? I don't know if having an unlocked bootloader can screw with warranty claims but if you know, that'd be really helpful

Replacement device

Has anyone received a replacement device after the 14 days, if so was it a new phone. My phone started acting up the night of the 14 days. I went to the store that morning and was told the phone would be mailed as a like new device due to the warranty and since the phone is only 2 weeks, a new device will be sent out. I know this is not true but wanted to check with you guys.
I have to say it is way to early to start getting refurbished phones. Maybe 2-3momths in.

It will be delivered today and will post my finding.
So it was a refurbished phone, so I called the store and asked my did they wast my time and theirs bow making if 3 days past the 14 day return policy. They apologized and said they will exchange for a new phone in the store.
No idea what you are saying with all of those autocorrect errors. Yikes. You might want to consider changing to a different keyboard...
But if they are going to replace in store, that is good.

Note 7 recall update

So I'm sure you all know that the recall is official . If you are keeping note 7 like i am September 30 is the projected date when you will be able to trade it for the newer version. A side note maybe this explains why people are having poor battery life since the batteries were made by an outside source. Just curious as in who is keeping their note 7 and who is not. If you are not what are you gonna trade it in for ?

Sept 30th is the deadline for returns/exchanges period. I spoke with a couple of different Verizon reps and apparently Verizon doesn't know when they are getting new devices.

Yea I'd guess they have to wait and see how this whole supply chain is going to effectively launch a second time before telling us everything.
I'll be grabbing a new one, why not if you love the phone. Week or 2 less wear and tear. And if you didn't get black maybe there's a chance to remedy one more poor choice in your life.

The in regards to battery life: I turn off syncing on apps that I don't use daily, and email addresses I rarely use. This seems to have helped my battery life tremendously.
Is Verizon giving a gift card or credit? Would think that might make people exchange.
I have no issues and wonderful battery life.
