On an unlocked bootloader, flashing a kernel would be an option. That's what I did. You probably have a locked bootloader and I don't know how.
Which kernel do u use to flash?, my bootloader is unlocked.

Any kernel with recovery would work as long as you can flash SuperSU. I myself use Doomkernel. Anyway glad you got it working.

Yes you can, get the firmware you need and use the moded Odin that you downloaded to flash eng boot. It won't work with official Odin as far as I know.

Should work. I just used the modded odin to restore G930TUVS3APD8, as i was having severe issues with the rooting process. resetting up my phone now..
I can confirm FRP-Unlock isn't needed. I rooted with no frp-unlock, I just had to factory reset my phone when it got stuck on the tmobile splash.
Good to know
Can someone confirm the following?
1- does SamsungPay Still work after root?
2- Does Android Pay still work?
3- does rooting with this method trip Knox?
4- does installing Adaway break either Android or SamsungPay, or trigger Knox?

Samsung Pay and Android Pay will not work when rooted, and this method does not trip knox.
I can confirm this also works on the July security patch, PG1 firmware.

ODIN flashable version is up on SamMobile website. I downloaded it, flashed it, then re-installed TWRP recovery and also was able to re-root the phone after the upgrade.

I'm a relative noob to flashing rom's. Can someone tell me if I'm understanding this correctly?
Installing this update will *unroot* my phone? So after installing this update through odin, I will need to install twrp again while in download mode? And then, once that's installed, reroot my phone?
