SIM Manager Video call option - Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge Questions and Answers

Hello all
Today I just upgraded to S7 Edge Dual SIM from my S5 DUOS.
I use two sims and switch between them for data to utilise my 3G on both service providers. All that was needed on S5 duos was to go to SIM manager and click Data option and it would ask to also change to auto 2G/3G/LTE mode on the selected SIM.
This is still possible on S7.
But I also could set preferred SIM for video call on S5. or set it to ask each time just as the options for voice call.
On S7 the options for setting Preferred SIM for Video call is gone and replaced by options for setting Preferred SIM for Text messages.
Does anyone have any clue if there is a way to bring back this option.
Does different regions have different options like if it is CSC dependent.
Setting it to Always ask was a good option as on Pressing video call button it would ask and one could choose the SIM currently on 3G .
With S7 all video call are always through SIM 1 and if one has selected Data on SIM 2 then there is an error saying you are out of 3G area!!!
Any suggestion would be welcome. and is there a way we could bring this logical thing to the notice of SAMSUNG.
Thanks.

G900FD - SIM Soft Switcher

I'm running the G900FD Duos and need to continually switch between SIM1 and SIM2. I have to do this because the 2G signal in my area is non existent so when using SIM1 on 3G/4G the other SIM (which then uses 2G) won't receive any calls or texts.
I've tried in the unnecessarily confusing Samsung dual-sim settings to make this a one click operation but simply cannot fathom it out without endless clicking to and fro. I've also tried xShortcut to add a shortcut to the home screen to either switch between the two SIMs or swap 3G/4G connection from one SIM to another (and back) but again without success.
Does anyone know if this is even possible without a 15 click operation?

S7 Edge dual SIM control

Hi Guys !
I have a Samsung S7 edge duos, for which i want to use two SIM cards - SIM 1 is my home SIM, and SIM 2 is a Global roaming SIM with data and Voice.
My question is whether its possible to set my phone in such a way that when I go on roaming i want my SIM 1 to deactivate data services and SIM 2 data services to kick in, since this a global SIM.
Is there an App for that or is there some kind of settings for the same.
Help in this regard would be highly appreciated.
Thanks
John
Not sure if you can do this, maybe with a task scheduler? Best choice is just to manually set your SIM2 to be the main SIM.
The only thing that might work is to call transfer sim 1 to sim two so that any calls received will ring on sim 2 which you can select as the active.
You can not cross connect the apns since they are linked to different sim cards.
Did you try all the dual sim manager apps? they say they do just that!!!

Is there any way to activate 4G network simultaneously on both the sim of G935FD?

Can anyone here to tell me the way to make active both sims of S7 edge(G935FD) on 4g network simultaneously ?
*#*#4636#*#* gives the option to set both the sims on 4g at time but in samsung the code seems deactivated.
I have tried Samsung's *#0011# code for change the band but failed.
sorry the phone only allows one sim to active at a time including data.
Yeah. I also wanna know this..
I did my research a few months back and found out that the 128GB model of G935FD which was released in India had this option and was capable of dual 4G at the same time..
I did ask a question in Q&A section though nobody knew the fix to do it on 32GB G935FD

WiFi Calling with S8 Dual SIM

Dear all,
I need a creative idea here: SIM 1 is my "calling SIM" , SIM 2 is data only. Consequently, SIM 2 is set to 4G. It seems though the Galaxy S8 does allow WiFi-Calling only for the 4G SIM. The setting to switch it on is not existing when the SIM is set to 2G/3G.
Any way to have WiFi Calling switched on for the 3G SIM? Alternatively, any way to use Tasker to switch profiles automatically when my Home WiFi is connected?
Cheers!
Andreas

Voice calls not possible on Lebara network Australia

I've got a very weird issue with my Galaxy S8 (SM-G950FD)
After working fine for about 1.5 years on the network it suddenly wasn't able to make and receive calls anymore on the Lebara (Vodafone) network in Australia.
The issue spontaneously disappeared a few hours after it first surfaced but reappeared and has not gone away since.
Internet and Txt/MMS are working normally. But when someone calls me it goes straight to voicemail and when I call nothing happens for a minute or so and then it "disconnects" but no tone
When I go into the phone app and try to retrieve settings like caller ID and/or forwarding it gives the following error:
Failed to read data
Something went wrong. Check your
Sim Card or network connection,
then try again
When I insert the sim into an S7 it's working. When I insert the sim from the S7 into the S8 (Optus network) the S8 works as well.
I've performed a factory reset (without restoring the settings)
I've gotten a new sim and Lebara has ported the number to it but that didn't help
Being a dual sim I've tried using the shared sd/sim slot but same issue.. data/mms/txt working no voice.
I've tried copying the apn settings the S7 displays with the Lebara sim to the S8 but that didn't help either.
I've now used Odin to flash the phone back to the Oreo version with the December 2018 security update and that didn't help either.
Any other ideas?
Thanks
I've managed to narrow down the issue a bit.
Also went out to purchase a Vodafone Pre-paid sim. That one didn't work either at first but after some troubleshooting with support of Vodafone we've found out that the S8 doesn't connect to the 3G network of Vodafone Australia.
When I have the SIM of another provider in there and limited the network mode to 2G/3G autoconnect the phone just finds the 2 other networks on 3G (AFAIK 2G has been phased out).
I've tried to get into the advanced service mode but this doesn't seem to be possible anymore.
Is there a way to try to see which bands are active on the S8 and better yet enable them all?
