Change language in the Htc Hd Mini

Does anyone knows how to change languages from the default language into English in the htc hd mini?

Language is fix and can only be changed by flashing another ROM, AFAIK.

There is a application called setup in start menu, its a HTC Sense setup program, if you launch it, it will give you a chance to choose language you want to install for HTC Sense. Worked by me.

You will need to look at this page

Download the program. Follow the steps as he says..
Make a new folder and extract the file to that.
Then go to double u double u double u dot shipped-roms dot com /shipped/Photon/
and choose the ROM that you want (You can choose the latest Europe or Asia eg RUU_Photon_HTC_Europe_1.36.401.1_Radio_Signed_32.2 803.05.06_0.63.05.36_Ship.exe or
RUU_Photon_hTC_Asia_WWE_1.07.707.1_Radio_Signed_20 100305_Ship.exe
or GCC if you are in Middle East.
Then download this file and use win rar(right click on setup file and find to extract the RUU_signed.nbh file from this Europe or Asia ROM file to put in the folder u have made.
Run this and You will have English with the Latest ROM version!
It works 100 percent dont get scared by the trouble shooting comments!
Just read thru the pages and then follow wht I have told you!Plz comment how it went.
Or you may use another program called OS Kitchen.Search that in this forum and see how it goes.Mine works perfectly as I did with this method but OS kitchen also helps!

Hi guys, I just bought a HD mini on Ebay, turns out its from Taiwan and is all in Chinese, does anyone know if I can put an English ROM on this? I'm in IT and pretty handy with working things out, but I wanted to make sure that it would accept it before I end up with a broken phone!

it's in program list after flashing the ROM.
it take about 15min to install and many restart!!!!

but after first restart and entering to the bootloader ( colored skin appeared) the htc logo and the bar below it appear but there is not progress to flash and a message displayed on my laptop screen " this phone cannot update by file from other ... " [ or like this conception] . then restart my mobile. i cannot update my mobile by this arabic rom . i try this file " DFT_SSPL_MINI " by extracting the nbh file from first file but the same error occured ! bad bad bad !

connect your phone with active sync and run the rom update with SSPL.
first you will get error when it enter the 3 colors screen... don't worry... wait for the USB to appear down of the 3 color screen and re-run the SSPL and follow the instructions

You have to extract the rom with WINZIP or WINRAR
and use SSPL methode.... HERE:

or you may keep your "east europe" rom and do the following:
search google for "التعريب الكامل والجزئي لل HTC HD mini"

Reason for that is that this program (ALP) nearly only supports IMEI´s changes for Mediatek phones. And the S2 does not have a mediatek chipset. See the developers manual:

IMEI number of only Mediatek phones can be changed with ALP. According to feedbacks

it Looks like this Rom is for the Italien market (not sure) but you can choose by the flashtool Default csc DBT, ATO,BTU,ITV,XEF,XEO
step by step instruction:
1. Download Flashtool+Driver and ROM with CSC file.
2. Install Driver on your PC (i had problems with win 8.1 X64, win7 X64 installation fine)
3. Put your phone in Download modus
Shut down your phone
press and hold volume up + camera button and press shortly power button (still hold volume up and camera buttons!)
download modus must appear.
4. Start flashtool and load Rom (.WP8 file) and csc file into the flashtool
in the yellow folder load Rom. (.WP8 file)
in the green folder load CSC file
5. Choose your default CSC Code under DL Options-->CSC sale Codes. (for example DBT is Germany)
6. Plug in your phone to your PC over USB cabel.
7. Press start in the flashtool (if you cant press start, something wrong with drivers or phone--PC connection)
Flashtime about 10 min....
I am NOT responsible for any damage to your device!

I took a quick look but haven't investigated yet. Unfortunately, I have the other model of ATIV S - the T899M - and there's no way I'm going to risk flashing an I8750 ROM onto it; that never ends well. On the other hand, I *would* be very interested in Samsung WP8 flashing tools. One of the biggest problems my phone has is that its firmware is badly outdated and there seems to be no updates for it (the I8750 has had at least two updates so far, one of which fixed a known issue that also affects my phone and breaks WiFi tethering).
Obviously, the interest in custom ROMs is also quite significant. We'll have to wait and see about that, though.

I think that the ativ's bootloader is locked. Huawei coders could miss checking a signature, but not samsung, I think. But who knows?

Oh, it's undoubtedly locked. All WP8 devices are supposed to have locked bootloaders. However, that doesn't mean we can't find bugs in those systems to let us past the signature checks, or to let us replace the bootloader entirely, anyhow. This was possible (via various approaches) on devices from multiple different OEMs (including Samsung) with WP7.

Hey wolf, I have some problem and i hope you can help me. So here's my story.
2 weeks ago my Samsung ATIV S i8750 got screwed up, after a normal weekly soft reset (i was doing that all the time just to refresh the phone), but this time after the normal soft reset, my ATIV S showed some black screen saying something is wrong with it. I can't upload the pictures here but it was something like
blah blah blah text about some software installed...
(and on bottom was this):
File: \windows\system32\boot\winload.efi
Status: 0xc0000428
Info: The digital signature for this file couldn't be verified
So, after few hard resets it didn't went away and after 20 months of having the ATIV S I needed to flash it for the first time. So in talk with a friend who already did this and point me the rom and files i needed to flash the rom I install this rom: GT-I8750 XXDOC2_RS_signed.wp8 along with the CSC file GT-I8750_OXADOC2_RS with SMD USB Downloader 3.54. I successfully install that rom, and the phone works again, but i have a different problem now.
I don't know if its rom related or it is a hardware related, so i am sking you if you have clue what is going on.
The problem is that after that the phone can't be recognized on any computer. I tried on various machines running different OS's (Win7SP1, Win8, Win10, etc.) I flash the rom on my lap top who is runins W10 btw. The phone is not recognized even as a unknown device in the Device Manager. When i plug the phone to the computer or a wall charger, the phone doesn't play the sound or indicate the sound that it have been plugged to a cable, but it does charge anyway. It is not that big of a problem to live with this. For transfer files I mostly use the Wi-Fi app to transfer files on my pc and vice versa, but I can't do anything else, for example to flash your new rom or any other rom to my ATIV S. Battery life is normal as before tho. So, in your opinion, what do you think it might be? Software problem or hardware problem (usb port on the phone)? I hope i covered everything, but if you need more info, please do tell me, i will provide it. Thank you in advance.

Yeah, probably, cuz i tried with other usb cables, the same results.
Hope they have spare parts for the phone's usb port

I assemble your firmware (method -WOLF-):
- Replace CSCMgr.dll and CSCMgrSvc.dll
- Replace OEMSettings.reg (included all settings)
- Replace some tunes and pictures
- Remove language dsm
- Xap files deleted by samsung
- Edit the file in the software and system config
At the time you first install the trigger of the config files
After HR removes unnecessary languages and works OEMSettings.reg.
You can put custom mbn or csc.

Just curious, what features does it have?
Mind giving us a clue? I believe it does already have interop unlock, possibly some registry tweaks, or?

Features:
Removed ALL LANGs except USA, UK and RUS
Removed all BING apps
Removed all Samsung apps except system ones
CSCMgr replaced with older version. You can install custom MBNs
After flashing phone does 2 HRs. Dunno why it fails to load after first one.

Maybe you could do a ROM with alla Languages and post a tutorial to remove after the install (I don't find the guide for remove the languages :/ )

Yes, via Insider. Just change phone model to Lumia.
It's not possible to update 8.1.1 to 8.1.2. But worldwide version of 8.1.2 custom will be released soon.

I change to Nokia and work pretty well for now I didn`t HR after upgrade

8.1u2 custom ROM now with all languages. Enjoy!
