Request help for phone - P8lite Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello. I have a problem with my phone and have been struggling with it for some time now. First of all can someone please help me to unlock my boot loader?. I have tried the unlock tool from Huawei (page not found 404)and even tried emailing them but still no luck. I'm trying to activate dual sim. I have updated the device to a dual sim firmware Android 6 and EMUI 4.0 but that didn't work so I want to flash the device to a previous version but first need to unlock the device. If someone can use the unlock tool please inbox me Thanks. Sorry if I posted in the wrong place or broken some rules
Edit... Model:Huawei P8 Lite ALE-L21

Thanks. I also saw it when browsing the forums earlier today. I'm now at the part where I have to wait 14 days (created the profile 3 days ago so 11 days to go) and will post again if I still get the "page not found" error or if this thread can be closed.

I Send them a e-mail. This is their response:
ear User,
Huawei Customer Service is pleased to be at your service, sorry for bringing you the trouble, if you want to unlock your phone, you should meet the condition as follows:
1.Please register your Huawei ID in our official website http://huawei.com/en/ on your PC.
2.Log in your Huawei ID on your phone for 14 consecutive days.
3.Each Huawei ID should not apply for the unlock code more than twice within half years.
If you meet the conditions, please go to http://emui.huawei.com/en/ and click the 'download' button to login your Huawei ID other than any other third party ID to apply for the unlock code. Please contact us by mail or local service hotline as follows if error message appears.
TEL: http://consumer.huawei.com/en/contact-us/index.htm?tag=hotline
Mail: http://consumer.huawei.com/en/contact-us/index.htm?tag=email
Please submit your mobile model, S/N, IMEI/MEID and error message in your e-mail. We also need to know that your phone is rooted, it can be out of the best working state and part of functions may not be able to work normally. In addition, the system is vulnerable to be invaded by viruses once your phone is permitted to unlock. What's more, for the lacking of fully tested, the third party software will not be compatible with your phone. Unlocking will bring unexpected negative impacts and the device will be not normal, and can not be restored, Huawei after-sales service office will not provide warranty service for your rooted phone, and you may bear the cost. So we strongly advise you to think it twice.
If you have any other problem, please send your feedback to us. We will be at your service to help you solve your problems.
Once again thank you for contacting Huawei device.
Best Regards.

Sorry for a tangent question.
The guide linked by OP is for ALE-L23 model, but would it work for ALE-L21? If that is unlikely, are there any guides for ALE-L21?
Finally, other than the model number, what else is important to match-up when trying to install custom roms?

what link?
very important -> model number (ale-l21 must be ale-l21 and not ale-l02 because they have another chipset)
important but fixable -> location (c432 must be c432 and not c034 (making things up))
also important but fixable -> dual sim and single sim
something to take into consideration -> android version
so if you have the next version ale-l21c432b564 don't flash ale-l02c69b049 over it

My phone is ALE-L23C605B140, so all sorts of different from what I see in those guides. Is it possible for me to downgrade/upgrade to a version that's compatible first, or do I just need to wait for a guide that works specifically for my phone?
My phone is also dual sim, and running Android 5.0.1 if that helps.

Can't unlock bootloader

Hi friends..I've a Redmi 3s, I've applied for unlock permission in the the website and got permission within a day.. But when I tried to unlock the device using latest unlock tool from the website, I'm getting an error at 99% saying that "Current account is not bound to this device".. I tried associating my account in developer options, it said the device is associated with mi account but I'm getting the same error every time I try..So I tried old version as suggested in other threads and it gives a error at 50% stating "Upgrade your unlock tool".. Please provide me a solution.. I'm in a urgency..Drivers are properly installed and internet is also available during the whole process..
So, Please devs kindly help me to solve this problem.
This is a common issue please try after 3-5 days with old version of unlock tool.

OEM unlock not working

Hello
I bought this phone today and I wanted to root it like all my last phones. To unlock the bootloader I followed the tutorial I found and I get the code from the Huawei website and when I input it on the phone it tells me password incorrect.
I checked what I got from huawei and it's the right number, I tried 4 times now even try to get the unlock code again which was the same and no luck.
Anyone had that problem? emailing huawei support could fix my problem?
i'm not sure what to do and I can't see anyone else with the same problem.

Good weekend
Hi, sorry, I meant unlocking to any network. And I updated it to latest software version when connected to wifi. Ive sorted it now. Cheers for responce anyway. Im just using this while I send my xz to sony for repair. Microphone has broken. Even though fully refurbished not long ago when sent it in for charging port repairing and sony customer service is terrible. Wont be buying sony again. Looking at getting the huawei p20 pro next

Hi guy,
sorry I expressed myself incorrectly, I did not want to know your stuff, I was just trying to figure out what was wrong with the updates of your branded version. Anyway, you need a rebrand.
I think changing to the European version no brand (C432) is the best choice.
There are several guides, in which you will also find the files used for conversions.
You only know if you have a mono or dual SIM device, so you need OEMinfo and firmware version for your SS or DS phone.
Follow step by step the guide you choose, I suggest you read at least twice (three is better) the guides....
Here I place only a couple of guides (slightly different for how they do their job) taken randomly, but there are others, just use 'search' in the p9 lite's threads ...
All credits go to their developers, thanks guys ..
If something goes wrong, do not point the finger at me or other dev / users,
you and only you are solely responsible for what happens with your device.
Best regards
