While the V8 is superior in specifications I'm not a huge fan of the screen size so would have gone for the honor 8... That said I've already settled for the One plus3 and can't say I'm regretting my decision!

I know this sounds like a fanboy comment, but in all honesty, the note 2 is the greatest phone ever. Like what michael Jordan is to basketball.
It has double the battery life (if not more), better screen, much smoother, better SPEN with a working handwriting. I hated the aspect ratio change at first but it's starting to grow on me. Besides, being thinner makes it "alot" easier to hold.
Edit: One more thing, No BLACK CRUSH/CLIPPING

Completely agree wih all of the above. Best phone I've ever had, a nice upgrade from my note1.Ive been using smartphones since the first kyocera phone/palm combination in the early 90s. First phone I've had in last 3-4 years, including a brief iphone stint, that I didnt feel after a couple weeks that I'd entertain an upgrade in 6 mos if something better came along. Really nothing of any significance lacking on this phone.
battery life is insane, performance is stellar, running jellybean, specs to the roof, big a$$ screen, BATTERY LIFE AGAIn cause its really impresive.
totally worthy...
its truly a next gen device.
much better sound.
much better battery life...
grearer screen
an accurate s pen unlike Note 1.
even b8gger screen.
16:9 ratio to make it EASY to hold....
i could just keep going xS
I was going to upgrade for sure from my international note 1 as soon as at&t launched the Note 2, but now that I flashed jellybean the Note 1 feels like a whole new phone! Jellybean in its self is an upgrade! I will try to hold out as long as it can but as everyone here states, it seems the Note 2 is a beast of a phone.... So I guess I'll have to see if I can resist when I actually touch the device! But seriously if you have the international Note 1 definitely try jellybean.... You won't be disappointed!

Wow.. thanks for the reply's... now I really can't wait. I'm using Straight Talk/Att Sim right now in an At&t Note. It's tough knowing I could walk into Tmobile tomorrow and grab one for $650 and unlock it and use it. My only problem is I'm wondering if I'll be better off with the At&t version.. for coverage reasons.. I'll have to check out radio frequency's and how easy it is to unlock the tmobile version. I figure I'll get about 300 for original Note and I'm gonna sell my Nexus 7 since I almost always reach for my Note first, should get 175 or more out of that then it'll only be 150-200 out of pocket! can't wait..

Just my opinion, nexus 4's snapdragon is much faster than exynos 4. .just saying
seems a little disappointing from the reviews. Was expecting the bechmarks to match that of the optimus g since its built really similar to it and share similar internals. Still a great phone for the price, but wont touch the note 2.
hmm.. where are the benchmarks that say it doesn't match the optimus g? was actually thinking of buying this for someone as a xmas gift..

I have a Galaxy Nexus and I will check 4.2 on it. Not missing original Android at all.
Smaller screen with huge on-screen buttons making it even smaller...
Many homemade roms and kernels that dont bring a lot besides gadgetry and bugs.
No Sd card, no replaceable battery, unproven build quality.
The longer the list the better the Note 2 is looking.
I guess yeah if you are into going from one buggy rom or kernel to another one every two days maybe you need a Nexus 4 for that.
Good homemade roms/kernels can be counted on the fingers of one hand for each phone.
Sent from my GT-N7100 using Tapatalk 2
Engadget claims that the battery of the Nexus 4 is half the battery of the optimus g and phone arena already stated that the note 2 has double the battery of the optimus g. So the answer is no, I don't want to downgrade from 8h of screen on time to just 2 or 3 hours.

checkout the performance and battery details..no where as good as our beast!
To all those people sagging about the performance and battery life issues, the reviewers had test units with totally beta software. in the review of the verge the device is even seen to have a software update available which hasn't been activated.
So:that's not an issue. the hardware is quad core snapdragon and 2GB ram, same as on lg optimus g,which is a beast in performance and battery life, and that's on ice cream sandwich!
Until then, take these reviews with a cup of salt
Again there shouldn't be a comparison between these 2 phones they are aimed at totally different markets.

[Q] HTC One (M7) or HTC One X +

Hey everybody! I want to know whether buying the developer unlocked M7 from HTC is worth the $649 asking price or is the HTC One X Plus the better option being generally $200 cheaper with its 1GB Ram and 64GB internal memory and quadcore chip? I must admit the non-removable battery has me leaning on a Sammy Note 2 but is there a way to restart these devices without removing the battery for those of us who customize our devices? In other words, from a frozen state or the need to reboot the device, is there an iron clad way to restart the phone in these conditions...and I don't mean give it a dunk or a bat or use to skip on a pond. For those of you who have in your possession a M7...is the hardware living up to the specs? Thanks!

You can reset it by holding the power button, like the Nexus 4, or any iPhone. You don't need to ever remove the battery. I never once removed my battery in my Note, Note II, or S3. People act like it is such a big deal, it really isn't.

I'd say go with the One. It is a bit more expensive, but you'll have the highest end device currently available (to prevent any flaming: this is my personal preference. The Galaxy S4 is also great, but I dislike the design of the SGS4 and really like htc Sense) and you will most certainly be good to go for another 2 years minimum. The X+ is also great, but the tegra chip and battery life disappointed me greatly on the One X. I can't say anything about the Note 2, but I've heard good things about it. What I dislike about it is the giant screen, but that's again personal preference.

Note 2 because
Better screen ( bright power efficient amoled vs slcd)
Better battery life + removable
Better storage options
S-pen
No blinkfeed
Better camera 8 vs 4 mp
The only real benefit with a htc one would be build quality which is nice, but the note 3 should feature better build quality.

No. No, you don't. It's an opinion and has precisely zero to do with any "logic" that's actually veracious. Try again.
Your rationality behind why it's better (notably the AMOLED) is laughable. Why don't you add hyper-contrasted colors to that list since it's a widely held belief? Or the fact that most people find Samsung's UI ugly as sin? Or that the argument between 8 MP/ 4 MP is a total understatement? Or that you'd have no real way of speaking to the battery life of either device since they haven't even been in the hands of consumers yet?
These questions are, of course, rhetorical.

Moto x or Note 2 for upgrade

Hi Note 2 users. My upgrade is coming in about 3 months. What would you think would be a better upgrade for the next 2 years, moto x or note 2. I currently have the nexus s 4g so I am on sprint for fyi. I like the s-pen and the size of the note but I like some of the features of the moto x. Please help me decide. Thank you.
Sent from my Nexus S 4G using Tapatalk 2
Well I guess it depends if you want a bigger screen, a bigger processor, a bigger battery, upgradeable memory and an s pen?
If you do then it's the note 2 looks a bit of a no brainer to me?

Note 3
How long does the note 2 battery usually last for? And I can't afford the note 3.
Sent from my Nexus S 4G using Tapatalk 2
5-6 hours screen on time with 90-120 mins voice call on mixture of 2G + 3G + Wifi Connectivity. No other smart phone with so many features can beat that.
Sent from my GT-N7100 using Tapatalk 2
I get about 2-3 hours of screen on time (due to signal strength), with a good amount of calls and always syncing data. Battery life on the Note 2 is still going to be better though.
The Moto X is newer, and although it's dual core processing, it's got a very good processor so I'd say it's more or less the same as the note 2 in processing power. But take that with a grain of salt as I haven't had the chance to play with the Moto X. The S-Pen is very useful. The Moto X for me is too small. But the ergonomics look great! Samsung has been updating their older phones for a while (even though slowly) so that's a point in their favor. Who knows how long Motorola will update the X, probably a while since they're market is the USA and raving about how great it is and how it's made there.
I can go on and on... but ... In the end, it's up to you! Which do you like more? I love my Note 2, and I'll upgrade to either the Note 3 or the Z1. I can't consider the Moto X due to the screen size. But they're both VERY capable phones and very good phones!
With all I have heard so far. I think I'm sold on the note 2. It has great battery and I like the size more than the moto x even though my phone right now is only 4inches.

Yeah the guy with the sd to micro sd adaptor, a 256gb card, and a 7600mah battery. Utter madness I tell you.

That was a very expensive mod too. The 256 gb cards cost several hundred bucks.

If u hate waiting for updates, get sammy. Although we are still waiting for jb 4.2.2 or 4 3... The waiting time is much shorter than moto

my phonw is awake 60% of the time, because of google maps and etc.
i just fixed the problem today. But still, my note 2 lasts an entire day with at least3:30 hours of screen on time on hdspa+ all day.

The Samsung Note 4 battery (3220mah) can be used in Huawei Honor 3C

The Samsung Note 4 battery is almost the same size as the Huawei Honor 3C and I was able to use it on the Honor 3C with a few tweaks.
I dont know how to post the image but it is in imgur *slash* a *slash* ybqoi
can't figure out yet how to make it charge on the phone itself

Saw it. You are using LayCom battery which is I think class B or class A. Better use an original one.

oh hey, you're from the philippines too. unfortunately my honor 3c already has a lot of issues (a cracked screen and a non-functioning second sim slot) so i don't want to invest in it too much anymore
