New Branch for lg g3 on github
https://github.com/CyanogenMod/android_kernel_lge_g3/tree/cm-14.0

Woooooooowwww

Our chipset is dropped from support so do have high hopes since it will come some day but it could take ages for somebody to add back the support

Aslong as the get the chip to work... Iits a good to go. Nexus 5 and g3 use the same chip. If it runs on nexus they can use it on g3 aswell. So yeah that is great news.

That was just my opinion about Qualcomm move. I know that LG G3 have only Qualcomm CPUs

Android 7.0 clearly runs fine on the Snapdragon 800/801, so there is no technical limitation from the processor side of things.

Exactly, I don't know why people are freaking out when it runs on the Nexus 5 and the Z3, as well as the Nexus 4 (which obviously doesn't have any of the prerequisites I'm assuming). All this news means is that Qualcomm will not provide support or official support its processor on Nougat. It doesn't mean that the processor cannot run Nougat.
We will no doubt get unofficial roms, but no ROM from LG because it doesn't support hardware based encryption for Nougat (yes that is the reason why support is dropped).

I hope it doesn't take long... also i hope it is possible port the IR blaster, lg keyboard even tho we have to live with a crappy AOSP camera (there is a petition for LG to provide the framework, which would make things perfect if possible ).

Can't imagine this is a great shock to many people here, tbh I've given up expecting oems to update flag ship devices after 18 months (had a HTC Desire hd previously with exactly this will they won't they fiasco).
Does make me wonder about buying a device with the extra future proofing of some extra ram ie Z2 or G3 for my next device.

They can give the sources for developers or this rom i9300XXUHDN1, so somebody maybe can solve their problems.
The first intention from Samsung it's, in fact, release a KitKat rom, supposedly they could be working on 4.4.3 version for our devices directly...

Kinda sucks, it's one of their most successful models out there. Fortunately there's quite a few alternatives by now...
I'm totally fed up with the Samsung's delay of updating the S3.
There is still too much uncertainty of upgrading to kitkat, I doubt that Samsung will promise to release an official kitkat update for our devices.

Nothing strange about it... its simply WRONG.
805 is a 32 bit processor. A kickass 32bit, but yes, a 32bit.
My nexus is still running strong. It definitely seems faster than my Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge.
Display still strong. Well built phone held up to 2 years of God old fashion wear and tear.

I noticed that the performance of the vibration motor varies significantly across different N6. My first one (replaced after broken screen) had a motor that really felt like from a cheap toy like you said.
The replacement is completely different and my brother's N6 is different again. Both better than my first one.

You are lucky.. I replaced my phone 3 times because of the vibration motor. The third phone had the same cheap vibration motor but with loose volume buttons. I talked to Motorola and they told me your phone is water damaged and we can no longer fix it. So I have sent them a broken phone and they sent me an even more broken replacement. LOL
I had a really bad experience from Motorola. I will never ever buy a phone from them.

Huawei Mate 9 Firmware

Hi,
Found this firmware is case anybody interested...It's for MHA-L29C432B126.
Link to download from this website..http://hwmt.ru/hwmtsite/база-найденных-прошивок/
Site is in russian...
In case you cannot download..here's the link to download from my dropbox folder..
https://www.dropbox.com/s/zhav205jv084pl3/update.zip?dl=0
Just received and installed the official B126 OTA update (553MB) in the Netherlands.
Nice. Any changes to share with us?
added 6x zoom
Notification when password is needed for public wifi
status bar displays notifications in a clearer way
deleted unnecessary prompts
carrier parameters for better network
November security patches
Ah also in the Netherlands but no ota just yet hope it will arrive before I catch my plane to Spain tomorrow haha
That's great news! Thank you for sharing! :highfive:
It seems they tweaked the camera a bit, a bit sharper but more importantly better white balance
Installing MHA L29C432B126 as we speak!!
Not yet here in Italy...

It seems it is a phased rollout, haven't got it either although couple of people here in the Netherlands already have it.

And the good news is:
Camera is significantly improved. The blurriness, washed out pics are gone and the result is now very much on par with the excellent LG G4 camera
In car BT streaming is fully working, even all tags are coming through
Notification area is improved, notifications are no longer numbers only, you can now choose icons
The whole phone feels snappier, like developer logging is switched off
This is for sure a major step forward, creating an even better phone. Samsung, are you watching?

Would be great if they improved the EIS for videos and maybe added something like auto HDR+; essentially taking some cues from the Pixel. They need to use the gyroscope like Google does.
Would also like to see an sRGB display profile for accurate colors.
General tweaks to display latency and audio output especially the headphone jack (according to reviews) would also be nice.
Of course if they would release some kernel sources and device trees etc for developers that would be amazing too but that would probably be wishful thinking
But I am glad to see that they tweaked the camera. It definitely needed it. However they still have some work to do.

Not for me, I don't like the over-saturated screaming colors of HDR, only in particular shots. Afaic Huawei made time right choice leaving it optional!

True but it does seem to take some good shots though.
But they definitely need to take a look at the EIS. It's done quite poorly from what I can tell especially in video.

How's your SOT on the Moto G6 Plus?

I recently bought and returned(because of a small hardware defect) a Moto G6.
Now that I had time to think better about what phone I want, I'm thinking a Moto G6 Plus or Redmi Note 5 might be better for me.
Only thing I need to know to decide is how much battery life I can expect to get from the Moto G6 Plus.
So, how does it do? Can I expect to get 6 or 7 hours SOT while on 4g? Maybe 5?
Thanks!

I get about 3,5 hrs SOT in the 90-20% charge range - mostly phone, text, whatsapp, telegram, skype & websurfing.
Gets me through the day, but I think having a powerbank available ain't the worst idea...
Using it since last friday evening with full NFC cloning from my S7, will check again after a fresh setup some time.

SHOW your Keyboard, PLEASE! (on Note9)

Trying to find a better keyboard app for my phone, I'm not impressed by mine. Please show your keyboard and explain which keyboard app you're using (or launcher/theme). Just a screen shot of the letters is fine.
EDIT: I have the T-mobile SM-N960U, thus it currently CANNOT be rooted (from what I've read). Please keep your suggestions to those that do not require root. Thanks!
Absolutely love "Venom Theme" (Available in Xda labs) still the Samsung Keyboard but works just fine for me :good:
I am using stock keyboard.
The only thing I don't like about it is that spelling works only for one language at a time.
For instance Swype checked spelling and suggested corrections in two languages (my local and English).
With Samsung I need to switch between languages. It's not hard (swype space bar).. but still a little inconvenient.
Nothing has worked better for me than SwiftKey since I started using it back when Android was still Eclair and had a Samsung Moment.
Even the Beta is solid.
I've tried a couple but always come back to SwiftKey.
