[ROM] ZUK Z2 (Not Pro version) International ROM - Lenovo Zuk Z2 Pro Guides, News, & Discussion

Hi everyone!
I don't have permissions to create a new thread in the development section so I creating it here.
I received my ZUK Z2 and guess what? It came with an international version of ZUI 1.9.044 (Multi-language & Google Play), so I decided to share it with you!
No re-partitioning is needed! Just an unlocked bootloader and TWRP recovery (no need to flash recovery).
Unlocking bootloader.
TWRP recovery.
Once you have an unlocked bootloader, you can flash recovery or you can just boot into recovery without flashing.
To boot into recovery without flashing, boot your phone into bootloader and type in command line "fastboot -i 0x2b4c boot recovery.img"
Now, download my system partition backup from here.
Extract TWRP.7z.
Inside TWRP\BACKUPS folder, rename SerialNumber folder to your phone's serial number.
Copy entire TWRP folder into your phone's internal storage.
In TWRP recovery, select "Restore" option.
Now, under "Select Package to Restore", you should see "1970-01-05--22-49-46_MMB29M_dev-keys" backup.
Select this backup.
Swipe to Restore.
Go back to TWRP main menu.
Select "Wipe".
Swipe to Factory Reset.
Go back to TWRP main menu.
Select "Reboot".
Select "System".
Done!

That's it!!
Hello!!
I just have to rename the extracted files:
The bigger "system.ext4.tar" to "system.ext4.win000" and I extract the "system.ext4.zip" and copy the "recovery.log" in the "1970-01-05--22-49-46_MMB29M_dev-keys" folder then delete the zip file !!
It's the stock international rom for z2131 with a working GooglePlay !

Your'e right!!!
I renamed the files and forgot to rename them back!
But why do you need the recovery.log file?

Is that an official international ROM or a vendor custom ROM ?

Hello,
I got the same on my phone when I recieved it but according to me it is a vendor custom ROM. I even didn't have access to u-health and some translations were so bad. At the end end I switch back to the official Chinese ROM, much more better, even in English language.
Moreover I haven't seen on any other forums such an international ROM.
But I could be wrong

This custom curve

[Q] MIUI english language pack on SD build

Hi,
I am pretty much new to this forum so please excuse me if I have not made an extensive search. I have an HD2 device running Win7 NoDo on nand and a MIUI build on SD using MAGLDR 1.13.
Can someone please explain how I can install an english language pack for the MIUI build? A lof of the settings in the build are in chinese and that is really frustrating. Do I have to install Clockwork recovery? and will that erase my Win7 installation?
It's better to ask this in the ROM thread you're looking to install for better support.
Thanks, but the issue is i can not post in the thread section yet so had to post here. :-(
+1
Same problem
How to install Lang Pack to SD Rom MIUI

Noone knows?
http://htcfanboys.com/index.php?app...&section=download&do=confirm_download&id=232?
after downloading this multilanguage pack unrar it in system folder delete build.prop. then in your miuirom find update folder, make a folder 'root' in update folder. then copy the content of language pack (meta-inf and system) into the root folder you just made. reboot phone. then select your language.

Error message during factory reset

Hi guys,
I'm new in this forum, I hope you can help me with this weird thing. Excuse me if my english isn't very good, I'm spanish. Thanks in advance!
My firmware is XWKF3, from http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1075278
When I do a factory reset, in factory reset log I can see something like:
installing multi-CSC
can't acces to '/system/csc/FOP/system'
Sucessfull applied multi-CSC
Should I worry about it?
I think that this message is relative to salescode, because Spain generic salescode is FOP, and previously to this version, when I had the Vodafone (Spain) firmware version, with CSC: KE2 (ATL), the message was something like: can't acces to '/system/csc/ATL/system'
Best regards
CSC is country specific code.
It says applied Multi CSC so unless problems dont worry .

Hi There. I had the same problem as I Flashed my Phone with XXKL1 and it contained Multi-CSC but I am in Canada with Bell so I should have Bell CSC applied, but after flashing the rom with Multi-CSC I started to get that problem so here was my fix to it:
1. Make sure your phone is rooted and Superuser and busybox installed. You will also need a root explorer such as ESFile Explorer or Root Explorer
2. Now install Root Explorer or ESFile Explorer with root permission enabled.
3. Now go back to download mode and Flash/Apply your CSC file.
4. Once it boots up let it do its thing. (You will still get that message but don't worry)
5. Now go to the RootExplorer or ES File Explorer and mount as R/W (Read-Write) and then go to "/system/csc" and rename your original CSC code for example if I am in Canada i have BMC for Bell, I will rename that to FOP and delete the rest of the CSC folders as I do not need them. (i did in my case to give me more system space as it would not write more if you do not have system space). If you want you can leave them in yours.
6. Now reboot your phone into Recovery Mode and let it do its thing you will see that message will disappear. Once its done that, Boot up your phone then go back to the fileExplorer or ESFIle Explorer "/system/csc" and rneame that renamed folder FOP back to your country code and done. You will also see that now you have many files in that directory and not just the folders.
Try it out and let me know. Good Luck
*2767*3855# and then boot into recovery and it sets itself to a CSC

SMS messaging issue in Aura Rom

Hi
Two days ago I installed Aura Rom, and it is fine because it supports my language (Arabic) and it works well. The problem with messaging (SMS) (MMS not tested) when I receive sms message, it comes twice as you see attachment please.
Can any body help me to solve this issue
Thanks
Responded to your PM. Also, I forgot to mention, if you have Root Explorer you can go into the system folder and delete either conversations.apk or mms.apk (conversations is blur, mms is aosp) to get rid of one. I am fixing this problem in 1.1.3.
Thank you so much
Sorry I don't have Root Explorer. but I see Rom Manager!!
Here is how I install your rom:
1- download your rom to my sdcard
2- entering to the recovery
3-Install zip from sdcard
4- select Aura zip file
5- yes
6- reboot
that all, is it correct method?????

Yes. Though, versions other than tenfar's or romracer's recovery will not actually perform a wipe.

[TUTORIAL] How to Fix RTL (Arabic, Ardu, Farsi & Hebrew) Stock & Custom ROMs GT-S5830

[TUTORIAL] How to Fix RTL (Arabic, Ardu, Farsi & Hebrew) Stock & Custom ROMs GT-S5830
This Patch will only fix RTL (Right to left Languages) and connect letters So you can read correctly.
This Patch Wont Add Arabic or other language to your rom Settings. Please make a nandroid backup of your system before attempting to apply this patch.
Requirements:
1- Your device needs to be rooted.
2- Your Android version is 2.1 or newer
3- Your ROM needs to be deodexed.
4- Your rom is not based on MIUI.
Steps to apply the patch:
1- Download the patch arabic_script_0.907_windows.zip from Attachments and extract it to a folder on your computer.
2- Pull these 3 files from your phone /system using any explorer and place it in the subfolder "input" that you extracted in step 1
a) /system/framework/framework.jar
b) /system/lib/libandroid_runtime.so
c) /system/lib/libwebcore.so
3- Double click on commands.exe. Do not close the black cmd screens that will pop up. Once the patch is done, you should get a flashable file in subfolder "output".
4- Go into recovery mod, mount system and flash the file.
If flashing through recovery didn’t work for some reason, you’ll need to do the following manually:
Put /framework.jar in your phone at /system/framework/
Put /libandroid_runtime.so in your phone at /system/lib/
Put /libicuuc-arabic.so in your phone at /system/lib/
Put /libwebcore.so in your phone at /system/lib/
Put /lib__bcore.so in your phone at /system/lib/
5- Downlod & Extract DroidSansArabic.zip from attachments and replace DroidSansArabic.ttf with the arabic font located in /system/fonts and reboot
Sometimes permissions and xml data doesn’t get updated correctly resulting in corrupted data entries. If you receive a bunch of Force Closes after a reboot, you’ll need to Factory Reset.

Browser language is related to /libwebcore.so So try to replace this file from any other rom and run the patch again. it should be fine :fingers-crossed:

Replace files from the flashable.zip with the rom.zip and flash the whole rom again. this is the safest method to avoid any bootloops
I've been looking for this long time ago...
I'll give it a try...
