Fingerprint sensor with sweaty hands - ZTE Axon 7 Questions & Answers

How well does the fingerprint sensor work with sweaty hands (normal day nothing like gym or sport)?

Worked well with greasy hands today, should work well with sweat.

After a shower, when your fingers are "pruned" /wrinkled.. It's has issues, but they all do in that situation.

Most reviews point out that this sensor struggles with dirty/sweaty/grimey hands.

Screen impossible to use with "water" on your fingers!

Hi!
Is it just me or is it freaking IMPOSSIBLE to use the touch on the Xperia X10 when you have just slightly like swetty fingers? If theres just a little water on the screen the touch goes banana crazy and it takes a while for you to even unlock the lockscreen. Is that just my phone or is it like that for everyone?
I've also had this problem i come back from football with sweaty fingers and its near impossible i wouldn't even try to text someone
That's a problem for EVERY capacitive touchscreen, not only for the x10. Water makes it impossible for the screen to recognize touches correctly because every drop is recognized as a touch. Just google capacitive touch screen to learn more about how this technology works.

It sucks if you have sweaty palm syndrome, which I have . Even the smallest of stimulation of fingers and my whole hand starts sweating, meaning every time I use the X10 my hand sweats and the screen spazzes

The new Xperia Active is said to use a Wet Finger Tracking technology that allows you to use the screen with wet hands! See more here.
Please buy Xperia Active or if you want a cheaper option..carry a couple of tissues with you!!
Sorry to interrupt from a P500 user, but i can use my device when my finger is wet.
I used to check for messages and news after taking a bath, so my finger is quite wet. But i have totally no question with my screen with those wet fingers, but it is on my P500 though. =)

Resistive screens worked with pressure, so it's only normal that water and moist didn't make a difference.

Hmm. here is my story. (its ur choice to believe or nt)
i was using StealthGuards last time. and it work out fine. FYI: i have sweaty fingers at times.
but after i remove it (cuz of my caseing)..i been having this problem too.
the "installation" for this screen protector is to use water and then let it dry about a day. i think thats the reason that my sweaty plams work.
I live in Scotland.
Where it rains.
alot.
New fangled phones can only be used indoors.
Or in a hoodie.
Iphones and ipod touches work fine with water on the screen

So what. Iproducts are not worth buying just to be able to use when your hands are wet. Just dry off your hands before you use your phone. You shouldn't be getting it wet anyway.

I have sweaty fingers and palms too at certain times, and yes you can't really type/touch the screen..... It's an 'issue' with capacitive screen.. resistive wouldn't be a problem(but it sucks)..
Lol you can hardly use the phone when your hands are dry.. what do you think will happen when they are wet?
I am in the bath now as I write this I don't have any issues.
I have taken the second screen protector of though, maybe that helps.

...you take your phone with you...when you have a bath?
I removed the stock screen protector it became sensitive to moisture.
I replaced it with a new screen protector.
Problem solved.

you dont understand. i wasent saying that everyone should now buy idevices, i was just stating that they are capacitive and the water on the screen doesnt interfere with the touch. by the way i always get water on the screen like when its sprinkling and a few drops get on it and when your fingers get a bit sweaty like in a room or car with a heater.

How to wash the S-Pen of the Note 10.1

Dear friends!
Yesterday, my woman washed our clothes.
By error, the S-Pen of my Note 10.1 was washed together with our clothes in the washing machine. 40 degrees Celsius washing program.
After that, I dried the S-Pen and tried to use it.
It was only writing inside a 1 cm border left and right of the touchscreen. I thought I would have to buy a new one.
Today, I tried the S-Pen again and it works perfectly, maybe even better then before.
lol:good: lucky u !
Mine somehow washed the remote to my led tv in our bedroom with the sheets last week... let it dry out and it still works perfectly

Nexus 10 is a dust magnet?

Hi fellow nexus 10 owners.. after couple of months with this awesome tablet i was wondering if is it only me or your nexus is also a dust magnet? I am using my tablet a lot outdoors or in clients offices and my second most favourite accessory is a samsung cleaning cloth for monitors.. Is there any way to keep dust off like a screen protector or something?:fingers-crossed:
Not normally, no. It IS a fingerprint magnet, though.

Sounds like you need to replace the air filters in your house
Try a bit of rain-x on there, makes it easy to slide your fingers and resists smudging a little better. I do it by spraying a cloth then wiping and polishing until it's clear.

[Q] Fingerprint scanner question?

I have effectively set up the finger print scanner and it works 99% of the time first time. However, Whenever I get out of the shower for about an hour afterwards the fingerprint scanner just doesn't work at all no matter what I do. What could be causing this? Is it maybe my body temperature? Or maybe my finger changes slightly while being in the shower enough to make the reader think iit's not me?
The scanner doesn't find the dirt at your fingertip it detected while registering the finger prints.
Serious: You skin extends while taking a shower; the longer the shower and the higher the temperature, the more your fingerprints deviate from the registered ones.
That could be the reason.

Seems legit, Yet I never have problems with the fingerprint scanner after taking a shower.

Sees fair enough, just a tad annoying that's all.
another possible cause
It could also be that the shower dries your hands out and it takes a while for the natural oils in your hands to build back up. This happens to me at work. I am a nurse and I use fingerprint scanners to remove medications from machines. I have really dry skin and when my hands get dry from all of the hand washing the fingerprint scanners won't read my prints unless I use lotion or breathe on my finger first to make it moist.

Galaxy S7 is water resistant

As we know water-resistant is one of the key stand-out features of the Samsung Galaxy S7. but do you use it with wet fingers ?
The manual says the touchscreen won't work properly under water, so that might be a problem with wet fingers, too. It won't hurt anything to try it and see.
Lil Wayne pours champagne on his all the time. I've accidentally poured Taaka Vodka on mine with no ill effects....
I occasionally play hearthstone in a hot tub because I'm white, nerdy, and privileged. I haven't exactly tried to "test it out" yet but the touchscreen does seem to respond better than my Note 4 did when my fingers are wet. I would expect it to "get funky" when it's wet (thinks you're multi touching other points) but I can't recall if it's actually done that yet or not.
Yes it is, took this video with my Galaxy S6 Active.
Turned out great, walking in the ocean in southern California and caught some fish swimming nearby. The video is even better.
