Drawing mode - AT&T Note 7 Questions & Answers

On the Note 5 when you were typing a text you could pull out the pen and utilize drawing mode to draw etc......did they remove this from the Note 7? I cant find it.

Yeah I'd ditch Samsung pay to root and get back drawing mode, but I'm not losing secure folder so it's a wash for me. Sucks

Culprit of battery on our note is samsung.android.strokesearch
Force stop it if you are not rooted from going in th e battery stats option..
Or freeze it using titanium backup..if you are rooted...
You will definitely get 20% better battery life....as it was consuming 32%battery on my note 10.1 2014..
However dont kno what this process is related to...
It did not affected my s pen experience any way...

how did you find out what was draining your battery so much? Just the battery panel in settings or third party app?
Battery panel..and one thing more its better to freeze this...bcoz I have seen that its starts itself up automatically...so it pain in ass
Force closing it again and again...

Or go to Settings and disable Pen Detection. That way if the S-pen is not detached, the service will not run. Freezing the service entirely is not wise.

Got it ...frends leaving our s pen outside its socket..makes our tablet run this app even if s pen detection is disabled...
It means it eats battery...
So keep s pen back when not using it...

Help changing keyboard.

Hello I was wondering if there is anything out there that can help me change the default keyboard only when pen is detached. I use Google keyboard and I want to use stylus beta when my pen is detached. Is this possible?.

I don't think you are able to have two keyboards at the same time. You 'll have to disable the one to enable the other.

Use AZ Screen recorder. Does not need root works great.

I use Lollipop Screen Recorder from the play store. It works fantastic. Link below.

Why has AT&T REMOVED the GIF maker?

So I received the device today. It's lovely. But i can't find the GIF maker that is part of the new S pen software. Is it me or has ATT deliberately removed it?

If it is there, it is part of "Smart Select" option of the air command menu. I hope its there, seems silly to take that out.
It's present under smart select..

because some features can't be by default else some would complain too complicated, uses eye scrolling. consider it lucky they added screen recording for you.

That makes no sense. It's an app but people would complain it's too complicated if it was on the phone like other manufacturers do? And it cant be by default? Sorry but Huawei and apple have. Its just an app I download the apk and at the flick of a switch I have screen recording.
