AUTO ROTATE cm13 latest build - Nexus 7 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi. Sorry if this has been posted before, but auto rotate has stopped working. The device is stuck in landscape mode. If i disable auto rotate from settings, it will go back into portrait. It used to work on this same build but now it doesn't. The tablet was dead for about a week and I now started to use it again. Tried clearing cache.

I suppose the your kernel is missing an important commit to work on marshmallow correctly ... (https://github.com/AndDiSa/android_...mmit/82e513b28087645506d8f077f9f37b630ad79c01)

[Q] Auto Screen Rotation went dead

Hello all,
My Iconia A500's auto screen rotation just suddenly went dead on me. Flipping the lock toggle near the volume buttons on and off doesn't do anything.
I've tried resetting the device via the reset button, factory reset it via the settings menu as well as the recovery menu (oh yeah, it's rooted, currently using thor's CW recovery v.1.5). I've also tried installing another ROM, deleting the cache partition and dalvik cache, fix permission, all to no avail.
I don't think its faulty gyro since I can still play NFS just fine. Its just refusing to auto rotate the screen.
Any of you guys ever experience this? Or maybe have any ideas I can try out ?
Thanks in advance!
hello, are you using thor ROM?

I did, just to see if it can fix the issue (the auto rotation went dead while i used a rooted stock rom). why?
Oh, I'm aware that Thor's newest ROM doesnt support the hardware autorotation toggle. I've tried the software toggle without any effect.

[Q] Defy+ auto rotation not working?

Hi all, I just got a Defy+ and I noticed that auto rotation is not wotking. Phone is always in portrait mode (auto rotation is enabled in options), I tried couple of roms and result is same. In CM roms compas calibration is working but screen is still stuck in portraid mode. Flashing officialy SBF didnt help....Is this hardver problem or there is still hope for me?
Looking at these pictures Defy on the left (my defy) has problem with compas. On flat surface both show N correctly but when I place them up my defy is showing wrong N. Is there any way to fix this compas error?
Some news...each time I flash SBF auto rotation works only for 5 sec, so I startet to experiment with system/bin/akmd2. I was mowing that file all over the phone memory, giving him diferent permision...and I dont know how but after phone restart auto screen rotation worked. I was so hapy so I decided to flash CM10 and after that flashig autorotation didnt work again. I have tried to repeat steps with akmd2 file but no help. And one strange thing...I have flashed WiUi JB 3.1.21 and in that rom my autorotation is working. Unfortunately that rom is laggy for me and I cant use it. question is why autorotation is working on this wiui rom but not workign on official sbf and other cm roms? Can I use some files from wiui system/bin to put them into CM and make screen autorotation working again? Thx
Solved
All this time autorotation option didnt work and two days ago I have installed game from google market "Traffic Racer". After playing that game for 10 min I noticed that autotoration is working :fingers-crossed: . I thing playing that game with tilt somehove triggered my sensors again and now after flashing many roms autorotation is still workin.

[Q] D802 - Screen rotate won't work

Hello!
I used ioroot25 to root my device and installed TWRP 2.7. Then i wiped all and installed lastest nightly CM11, everithing worked fine, except screen rotation. When i hold my device horizontal nothing happens, it doesn't matter what application i use, it just don't rotate. Also when i use camera horizontal, all taken pictures are shown vertical, so i need to rotate them manually.
I also tried other 4.4.2 roms and all of them had same problem. Before i rooted everything worked just fine.

Choose your baseband KK and flash it
Auto rotate is a common issue on kk aosp. There's a whole thread and a fix dedicated to it in original development.

N900T rotation issue - I will pay for fix!

Hello guys, after I installed DarkLord V1 then V2-2.1, I got rotation issue. When I turn on camera, camera screen button are auto rotated on right landscape mode. and when I take pics pics in gallery are rotated. When I turn on rotation, and I go to gallery, gallery is rotated on right side like landscape mode but phone is in normal position. If I rotated phone, rotation go on wrong side. also same issue with other apps. I have N900T. next, when I install CM12.1 for N900T nightly official - Rotation WORKS lol! all good then. When I flash 5.0 officail stock via Odin, again same issue with rotation. BAck to CM12.1 all good. Now I tried Phronesis Rom v2.0 N5 port, and same issue with rotation. I will pay for rotation fix. If you need some more info from me, logs etc let me know. Ty in advance.

1. Backup all your internal data.
2. Flash via ODIN, TWRP being in one custom rom.
3. Boot in TWRP - Wipe - Advanced wipe - Select all (less USB-OTG and External Card) - Wipe.
4. Reboot in Download Mode (It will ask you that you don't have operative system if are you sure - CLICK yes, and if you need SUPERSU, click no).
5. Download the latest firmware for your device to your pc: HERE.
6. Flash it via ODIN like in the pic attached.
7. Let the process finish till you see PASS in green.

Already done that and even tried with deleting internal data. Im sure that this have some issue with sensors or libgnustl_shared.so which I replaced with permissions rw-r-r
BTW when I installed accelerometer app now, its show wrong info. I guess accelerometer sensor or some accelerometer filr is wrong for rotation. Idk how all good is on CM12.1 Nightly Official, and on stock or any other custom rom doesnt work.

thank you on your time and help but nothing
I too had problems with rotation. This file did it for me. You can try it, you have nothing to lose.

I see you don't have the n9005, so maybe don't try it.

Do not disturb not working

Hey guys,
I have a strange issue. Namely, every time I wish to access the Do Not Disturb mode, the Settings app force closes. All other settings submenus work fine, but this one does not for some reason. I am running on fully stock 6.0.1. build number MMB26K.G928FXXU2BPE6.
Any ideas as to what I can do, except a full software reset, or even a ROM re-flash over Odin.
Thanks!
