I take it that the recent August t-mobile update (459.8MB) breaks root if you are rooted already on a previous MM version? I haven't taken the update as yet for fear of losing root and not being able to root after. I'm still on H90120e. I need some info please. Thank you.

The update does not install if /system has been altered or if recovery has been changed. Simply put, it won't do anything.

Works perfectly, tungkick. Thanks a lot! Once flashed, update the binary thru play store and install twrp via flashify. Enjoy!

LG V20L update?
Hello @tungkick any plans to update this to the latest H90120L ? With the rollback prevention folks on V20L can't use this...or so i'd think...

People already have used the 20j tot to root a 20l phone, then upgrade back to 20l. 20j and 20l are both anti-rollback #2.

I'm on 20j when I flash this will it unlock my bootlouder or will I have to unlock it before or after ? Or could I update to 20e the new update and still us this and root my v10 ?

First you need to unlock your bootloader and then flash this TOT, it is mandatory.
No need to update to v20e if you are on older version. However, once you upgrade to v20j official or rooted, DO NOT downgrade to v20e or lower otherwise your device will get bricked.

[STOCK][D6633][5.0.2] Firmware 23.1.1.E.0.1 Customized MEA [ROOT/XZDR/SuperSU]

Required:
- Flashtool in the latest version from: http://flashtool.net
- DualRecovery by NUT as installer.zip: http://nut.xperia-files.com (Download the correct one for your device and at least version 2.8.7+!)
- Root on 23.0.F.1.74 (Download) for example with this method: http://forum.xda-developers.com/crossdevice-dev/sony/giefroot-rooting-tool-cve-2014-4322-t3011598
Featurelist:
- SuperSU integrated
- DualRecovery by NUT integrated (2.8.7)
Can be used on locked and unlocked bootloader.
Firmware File:
- D6633_23.1.1.E.0.1_Customized-MEA.flashable.zip
The Flashable.zip i've created with the mighty tool PRFCreator by zxz0O0.
Installation/Update (short) guide:
0. Downgrade to the firmware 23.0.F.1.74 and root it (with giefroot)
0.1. Install the LockedDualRecovery by NUT with the installer.zip (install.bat)
1. Put the downloaded update file (ROM.zip) on your device. I recommend you to put it directly on the device.
2. Boot into the recovery (While rebooting -> when the info LED flashs -> press shortly the VOL button for the Recovery you prefer)
(On Recovery you may create a twrp/cwm backup of your device if you get any issues on updating process!)
3. Flash the ROM update file (.zip) with "install zip".
4. Wipe cache and dalvik cache (perhaps under advanced).
5. Reboot to system.
You may have to wait some minutes on the first boot because of initializing system for first time (optimizing apps etc.).
Special Thanks to:
[NUT] (DualRecovery and his efforts!)
zxz0O0 (giefroot rooting tool, PRFCreator and his efforts!)

Thank you @waleedsq81 for providing this firmware!
But please advice me.... I'm already on rooted 23.0.F.1.74 with LOCKED bootloader :good: and I want to flash the 5.0.2 lollipop firmware you're providing or a supposedly 'prerooted' russian customized version I downloaded yesterday, but my question is that if I had to upgrade to .96 kitkat firmware prior to flash this one or can I flash it directly from the .74 one?? ............ and secondly: do you know if by installing your firmware (or the russian one) will the flashing operation open or unlock the bootleader inadvertently?? (I don't want to, of course).
Thank you in advance, cheers :fingers-crossed:

yes you can flash it directly from the .74
& this process will not open bootloader Because the official firmware does not need to open bootloader

I try to get into recovery using the hardware button but seems not possible.
Booting into recovery using NDR Utils is fine though.
What I do > Power off phone > Power on > Wait until Green led lights up > Press repeatedly volume down button
Nothing happens even if I repeat the process and press volume up instead of volume down button.
What seems the problem ?

Thank you very much @waleedsq81 you're the man!.... and I can safely confirm to all: if anyone is already on rooted kitkat .74 firmware, you can simply and straight go ahead and flash via recovery this pre-rooted MEA firmware... root is maintained as well as the bootloader locked in this latest lollipop build, just follow to the letter the given instructions.
Is it possible to upgrade from .96 to save the time going back to .74? I am already rooted just need to add recovery.

Great firmware update and working nicely. I didn't do a clean wipe, just cleaned the cach and dalvik. I have been using it regularly and no problems. Camera is working, but I haven't tested other camera functions. All in all this is great.

LG G STYLO Users READ HERE Before Trying to Root + KDZ Files

Hi everyone, little update here we have Root for either 5.0.2 or 5.1.1.
If you still on LP 5.0.2 you can safely root your Device using LG One Click Root or Kingroot and if you are using T-mobile (H631) or Metro (MS631) you can safely flash Custom Recovery (TWRP 2.8.7.0 Thanks @Unjustified Dev) and flash the LP 5.1.1 Flashable ZIP (thanks @GameTheory )
NOTE: There is no Custom Recovery for Boost Variant neither KDZ file yet.
NOTE 2: If you take the OTA or Update using LG Software (Tmo and Metro) you'll get LOCK Bootloader but no wories there after Rooting using new 5.1.1 Method you can safely Unlock Bootloader by going under "Developers Options" and check " Enable OEM Unlock " and flash Custom Recovery using Flashify (THIS ONLY WORKS FOR T-MOBILE AND METRO)
NOTE 3: if you are on LP 5.0.2 or LP 5.1.1 just go CLICK HERE to Root, Install Custom Recovery and/or get Flashable LP 5.1.1 Update
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
THIS IS IMPORTANT/ WARNING.
I recommend using the KDZ file is if your Device is UNRECOVERABLE, Reason why b'cuz once you restore your phone using this KDZ you'll loose having the Bootloader Unlock and ability to Root so TAKE THIS AS LAST RESOURCE.
NOTE : This Process Will WIPE your device including device internal storage. (External SDCard are safe)

When recover using KDZ (latest version) does lock the Bootloader, but with T-mobile and Metro can be easy unlock by just checking OEM Unlock un developers option , Boost and other variant don't have this luxury of Unlocking Bootloader.

I'm currently using this ROM : http://forum.xda-developers.com/zenfone-5/development/rom-resurrection-remix-mm-5-6-7-t3357331
Is there any method on how to return back to the stock ROM ?
If I just do a full wipe and flash the latest update, will it work ?
thanks

Flash stock .78 via twrp do not ask why then manually update to .87. Then flash stock recovery and relock bootloader. Done

Yeah basically that's what @ZeeJcG said before ^^'
So anyway that was pretty hard I downgraded with WW_5.2.2.2 (flashing fastboot/recovery) and WW_5.3.3.3, I was in 2.21, and then upgraded the classic way, yolo

If you have unlocked boot loader, you can flash official firmware in TWRP recovery by following this guide https://forum.xda-developers.com/honor-4x/how-to/install-emui-4-1-4x-4c-g-play-g-play-t3515702
And btw if you want you can download newest firmware for your phone it is B572 it think.
