Charging moto mods - Moto Z Force Questions & Answers

I have the speaker mod for my Moto z force. The mod charges along with my phone when I use my OEM charger that ticks turbo mode. I tried to charge both my phone and mod from a regular charger that didn't tick turbo mod and only my phone charged. My Moto mod didn't charge at all even when my phone got to 100%. Anyone else experience this or is it just me

That has been reported by people on another forum. Some have been able to charge the mod with a charger that did turbocharge the phone but wasn't the Motorola charger.

Charging problems

Hey everyone, I have a DROID X all stock with the latest 2.3.3 build from verizon. The phone is 25 months old. The last couple of days my chargers do not charge my phone correctly. The charger will shut off after 5% or so. It sometimes wont even register as charging. Is their something wrong with my phone that I can fix my self? Has anyone else had this problem with any phone? Please help.
DROID DOES ....DROID X and DROID XYBOARD.
How does the charger shut off? I never heard of that before.
Since you are all stock ...buy a new battery!!!
The only other issue would be fualty charger. Check on ebay you can get deals for under 10$ for charger and two batteries.
Sometimes if you root ( not your case)
When the battery dies you will not be able to charge as plugging in charger on a dead battery will only bring you to boot recovery.

may be a connection issue, will it charge connected to pc?
after 2 years it could be battery, phone, or charger
charger should have an output 5v/0.7A or more
edit: 0.5A or more

Phone won't charge.. Possible damaged port?

Ok so my moto style refuses to charge with my stock turbo charger. The turbo charger charges my other devices just fine, but refuses to charge my moto x. I tried another wall adapter which also wouldn't work, yet my USB cable charges the phone just fine??.
I'm kinda confused and wondering if it's a problem with my charging port. Which kinda sucks cause now I gotta deal with motos tech support, but I was wondering if anyone had any similar issues

Just got new Motorola turbo charger but still says USB?

I have a moto charger the turbopower 15 to be exact, and I plugged it into the phone and it reads "charging USB" and not AC. What am I doing wrong if anything at All? Running stock Marshmallow.

Stupid question about charging.

I know this is a very stupid question, but I understand that the Moto X Pure comes with a turbo charger, is it ok if I charge my phone with a regular charger? I only have the original turbo charger and can't buy another one for now. So I leave the original at home.
I'm asking because I don't know if it can damage the battery.

It is actually better for the battery to use a non-Turbo charger of sufficient quality and output, less heating and degradation... Using the Turbo charger all the time will shorten battery life longevity. I use a 1.8A charger from a BB Playbook, works great.

Yes its completely fine.
Even more, I recommend to use the fast charger only in case of emergency! If you have time use a 5V 1A charger for a longer battery longevity.

Moto mod battery is charging with non standard charger

So, out of no where for no reason that I know of, my Moto mod battery has begun charging without the standard provided charger. I welcome this! Now I can actually use my old useful chargers at work and not have to buy a new one just for work like I was going to.
